Overall was a very good experience. My husband purchased a beautiful used van the evening before and while waiting, I found a used suv I liked. Unfortunately, I still owe a large sum on my current auto loan so it didn't work out, but Brian A was a kind and patient salesman who treated my husband and I with respect. The whole experience was nice because unlike most dealerships, we didn't feel like we were being pushed or bullied into anything. I interacted with Mr. Omar Dominguez who is designated internet specialist both online and over the phone. He called me several times to confirm appointment for new vehicle test drive. Upon arriving at dealership at specific appointment time, I was politely informed that the vehicle is driven by manager and btw it's a demo. I felt misled by Mr Dominguez at several levels. It is sad that at today's sellers market he had to revert to such a cheap tactics. Very frustrating. read more

Hands down the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I walked into this dealership looking for a specific, very expensive vehicle, which they had one of. The salesperson (who was actually not really a salesperson, but a buyer of some sort) showed us the car, and I really liked it aside from the color of the seats - almost white, which doesn't really mesh with young kids. It was my only sticking point, but I was willing to overlook it for the right price. It was a Thursday night about 8 pm, the "sales guy" as we will refer to him (I will spare him by not calling him out by name here) ran numbers for us, pulled my credit, and said he needed to make a call to get the approval. Long story short, he couldn't get the approval that night and I ended up leaving with plans to come back the next day. The following morning, a dealer who I had spoke with previously called and said they just got a vehicle that was exactly what I wanted, so I went to that dealer to see it. While I was there, our Patrick "sales guy" started blowing up my phone with numerous calls. When I finally texted him back, this is the conversation that ensued (see screenshots). This is definitely the craziest most unprofessional interaction I've EVER had with a car salesman. Needless to say I did not go back, will never go back, and will tell everyone I know never to buy a vehicle here. My mother was a repeat customer until this point, which is a shame for them, she will never be back either. Patrick; you can't treat your customers this way - guilt and personal attacks will not get you a sale! I would have come back had this conversation never occurred. My suggestion to anyone considering buying a car here is to go to Motor Werks where you will be treated with respect and given a better price. read more

Another great experience with the Patrick BMW team. This was our second purchase with the dealership. Our focus this time around was a larger family vehicle. Since our last purchase, Gary Khaytin has stayed in contact with us. Sending simple messages here and there checking in on us and the family. He would also go out of his way to say hello when I was in for routine service. Point being, customer service didn't stop since our last purchase which is why Gary was at the top of our mind when we began the shopping process. From start to finish he was professional, informative and applied no pressure. Through his guidance we were able to nail down our focus and build a brand new vehicle. He kept us informed through the build process and was flexible with his schedule when it came time to close the deal. Buying day can be long but Gary did a great job organizing as much of the paper work ahead of time so when we arrived, a lot of the leg work was done and it cut the process down significantly. Thanks again to Gary for all the help and great customer service. I would also like to send a shout out to Greg Pikul for his very informative session on the in's and outs of the vehicle's technology. He was patient, listened and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. He didn't rush us and shared great insight in the vehicle that isn't necessarily intuitive or easy to read about in the manual. Clearly a student of the BMW product and it was greatly appreciated. Finally, thank you to Zain Merchant for all the help on the financing portion. Again, another area that car buyers can assume will be painful and feel like you are losing. In our case, it was opposite. We spent time talking about our needs based on use and we're able to nail down a program that fit us. Waited a long time for the financing to finalize due to, supposedly other people being in front of me ( I only noticed couple of other buyers at the Dealership while I was there). I was told that I qualified for a specific interest rate after my credit score was pulled. I was never informed otherwise and probably wouldn't have been if I haven't had paid a close attention to the numbers sheet. They bumped my interest rate 2 points without informing me. I believe that they deliberately made me wait a long time so I would be tired and not realize what the finance guy has done (it was the end of the day). THAT IS NOT ETHICAL AND I FEEL I WAS CHEATED. If you do decide to buy a car here, MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK ALL THE PAPERWORK. read more

Unfortunately, I'm the guy that if I'm writing a review on Yelp, it's usually because I'm unhappy about something. This is not that review. My experience with Patrick was so good that I felt I had to say something. I bought a used BMW 435 from Patrick. After just a few months I noticed paint peeling off the wheels. I thought it couldn't hurt to contact my salesman, Angelo, at Patrick about it, although my expectations weren't high. Angelo looked into it, got back right away to tell me yes, they would fix it, at their cost, with a loaner for me while wheels were repainted. Their contractor removed all the paint, which was apparently just a bad makeover by someone, not the original paint. In fact, you could see original paint underneath. Then they powder coated wheels with new metallic paint that looks terrific, and a solid hard finish. We couldn't be happier. Patrick went the extra mile, which is why I will buy from them again...and again. read more

Good place for New BMWs but not for old ones. They service new BMWs and if you get in with an old BMW, they don't have all the time to give the attention. I had an appointment to recharge the AC and they said its going to take an hour. I agreed and waited for an hour and no response from the service manager. I checked couple of times and all they could say is its getting ready. I waited for the whole three hours to get this done. Finally I got out....my mistake going here to service my old BMW. read more

If there is any dealership that actually takes care of you instead of making you feel like you're being solicited by some "I took sales 101 at a community college" half assed, poorly dressed douche like all the people at the Honda dealership next door, it would be Patrick BMW. I have been buying my cars from Patrick BMW, namely from Chris Lima (highly recommended), and since then have never had a negative thing to say about their sales staff, courtesy and service department. Everyone I have come across has been willing to help and provide service that I have never seen from any dealership I have come across. The people in the service department (e.g. Mark/Chris /Timo) don't just know how to take care of your cars, but they also race themselves. You can find them taking their BMWs out at all the local (and non-local) autocrosses and DEs. They are a pleasure to talk to about modifications and driving outings. But honestly, on the sales end of things, if you are in the market for a car go to Chris Lima. He will go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. Seriously. When I bought my M3, he came in ON CRUTCHES, UNABLE TO DRIVE HIMSELF just to finalize my paperwork and get me my car ahead of schedule. I even went over to Chris Lima after being so mistreated at Schaumburg Honda (where my gf was trying to buy her car) and he helped me out amidst a busy day. Patrick BMW is simply the best. read more

This rating goes for the Service Department. Called in today morning to schedule a 25000 miles service. This place is close to my house so thought of giving it a try as I have moved from Los Angeles, California and this place is pretty new to me. The lady over the phone asked me if this is my first time to the dealership, and I said yes. Then, on asking about a loaner vehicle as I have to travel a lot for my business, she directly told me that "we cannot give loaner to you as this is your first time. We only provide loaners to people who are loyal customers to our dealership." SERIOUSLY !!!! And by saying that, you have just dismissed a future loyal customer and probably other customers too in my network. Is this is your business policy for new customers !!! By the way, left a voicemail to the service manager. So calls returned yet. Anyways, thank you so much for the kind considerations and the brilliant service. It was my intention to purchase a 1-owner 2003 BMW 525iT that, according to Carfax, had been regularly serviced by Patrick BMW since new. This car was being offered by an eBay online dealer, who had published the Carfax report and touted the car's regular dealer maintenance. In the course of conducting due diligence prior to purchase, I contacted Patrick BMW to learn if their experience servicing this car was as stated in the Carfax, or if there were any issues that might raise a red flag for a future owner. I also noted that I am currently a BMW owner and my car is routinely serviced by my BMW dealership. At first, they denied servicing the car later than 2007, and I pointed out that Carfax said otherwise. After being placed on forever hold, I was connected to another service advisor, who grudgingly acknowledged that they had serviced the car, but the service record was confidential to the owner at the time of service, thus she refused to provide any information at all, condescendingly suggesting I have the car inspected myself if I had concerns. I have never experienced such a cavalier attitude from a luxury car dealership, which, for all they knew, would be servicing this car if I were to buy it. I would certainly never consider purchasing a BMW from Patrick. Their customer relations serve as an example of what NOT to do if one wants to attract and retain a loyal customer base. read more

Bimmers do not go! They have the most irresponsible maintenance department and advisors! Car maintenance: oil change, new tires change, flat tire. Being honest, they were good back to 2016 September. They helped me change my four tires fast and nice. Since last November, I had my oil change service there. But they refused to update my computer saying they would not update my car 's computer until I come back to change my spark plugs after 5000miles. WTH?! 90 dollars oil change service but not update computer? Did you really change the oil? I have flat tire this morning. I bring my car to them. Advisor do not even gave me two tire caps which my car lacks and he told me they do not have caps there! Do not offer your a detailed tire inspection check. Well done! Keep doing business like it! Bad experience with service advisor Timo. Brought in an older e30 325i track car because Al V. in the shop does one of the best alignments in town. Timo quoted $500 to have the car aligned! Justification for the $350 upcharge was car is harder to adjust than others and it needs to be more precise because it's going to be on the track. An alignment should be precise and spot on regardless where the car is used! A reasonable upcharge could have been $100 for more difficult adjustability, what I was told is a rip off. The local race shop Fall-Line charges ~250 and more commercial alignment shops in the 100's. I've been a Patrick customer for years working with Aaron in service. He was fair and reasonable, and offered sensible, justifiable upsells. Unfortunately he isn't there anymore and after this experience, I don't plan on coming back! read more

So dissappointed. After 6 hours of the numbers game my daughter and I walked out with no car. Our salesman played the same numbers game last year after 7 hours. Leasing a car should not be brain surgery but it is if you wish to lease a car from this dealership. We went to another BMW dealership in Chicago and got a fabulous deal. Review for the service department: The service department at Patrick is second-to-none. The technicians really know what they're doing at this dealership. Although from Chicago, I lived in central Iowa for a two years and would always bring my BMW back to Patrick for its routine service. When you talk to the service technicians, you actually get the feeling that they know what you're talking about. Way back in the day my service technician was Marc Collura. He always knew everything there was to know about BMWs and the most sophisticated modding. He has since left Patrick to pursue other ventures. In more recent times I have been going to Adam. He is also very knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about. Review for the parts department: Always a pleasure working with the parts department. David is as good as they get. He works in back now (since getting promoted) but you can always ask for him. Awesome guy. Review for sales department: Okay, this is the reason I took off a star. I recently was in the market for a new 2014 BMW 335 M Sport. I visited Patrick first, but did not find any available sales reps when I went there. They were either all on lunch or "out of their office," or were talking on their phone the entire time I was there. I finally found one sales rep who I will not mention, but he is newer and I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he did not know much about BMWs at all. I didn't get the sense that they wanted my business either. Needless to say I ended up buying my car elsewhere. Patrick, I love you but you need to revamp your sales customer service. If I walk in wanting to spend $50,000 on a car, I shouldn't have to feel like I don't matter. Take a lesson from the attentiveness of your service department! read more

Picked up my new Mini 4-door hardtop yesterday. Love it! Matt was my salesperson. I greatly appreciated his no-pressure approach-something I haven't generally experienced at other dealerships in the past. Also, he kept me updated from the time I ordered til the car was ready for pickup, and promptly responded to all of my emails. The dealership itself is spacious, clean and comfortable, and everyone who assisted me was very friendly and competent- Vince the Tech Genius, the gentlemen in the Service Dept, Nicole in the Finance Dept, Adam, Noe, and of course Matt. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we had a significant wait time for Finance Dept when picking up the car. Not a criticism of Nicole-she was apologetic and very nice to deal with, but perhaps a little better coordination is needed between departments so as to avoid this. Would I go back? Yes!!! If I could give them 0 I would. This was the worst experience ever. I go into the dealer to get an oil change everything is fine. I had a check engine light on so I asked if they could tell me what was wrong with it. They said sure. Once the came back and said it would be this much to fix it I respectfully declined cause I know of someone to do it cheaper. This is when it started to get shady. When I was ready to leave they wanted to charge me 320 dollars . I was like " for an oil change?" They said " no it was 109 for a he oil change the you also asked us to check the check engine light .....that was 199.00" me" to check a check engine light" then"yes"....I was beyond appalled especially since they never told me it would be that much. read more

Let me start this review by informing you that I had a very bad service experience at fields BMW In north field IL. So I decided to come to Patrick's auto group. I purchased a preowned X5 and decided to do oil change and some general maintenance. Wow! What a great service. I was greeted warmly by Blake who took care of me. After i dropped my vehicle I was informed that There was a wait time of 40 minutes before someone can give me a ride back and I asked Blake if he can help because I need to go back to work. He went out of his way to look for someone who can drive me back. It was less than 5 minutes wait and I was in my BMW taxi heading back to work. Let me tell you I GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! During my few minutes stay Blake was updating me and assured me that I will be back on time. Very professional and friendly. Today I picked up my vehicle and he was there helping me with paper work. I had a nice cup of coffee while my vehicle was pulled up. Thank you so much Blake for making this a pleasant experience. I think this dealer is way better than fields. I felt respect and professionalism even though my truck is kind of old, unlike fields experience I felt they didn't think I can pay for the service :) just because I'm not wearing a Rolex and some stupid fancy shirts! The property is very nice and I liked the decor very much (aggressive just like their M-power engine) and I believe it's a very powerful pitch to close any crazy deal. My daughter purchased a used Mazda with cash after calling ahead to alert the dealership that she was interested and would be in that evening. The "finance department" made her wait until all other transactions were complete. It was after 9:00 p.m. by the time they got around to closing her deal. And, the worst part about it was that they weren't even sorry about it. I will never frequent their establishment again and I recommend others do the same. read more

Josh was friendly and professional, the first thing is just the transparency of the information, being able to see what the prices are upfront--being able to see the estimate for hours and parts before any work has started and he explained everything that needed to be fixed before the technician started working on my vehicle, which they completed in a timely manner. Walked into the dealership to grab a license plate frame for my brand new M235xi. I mentioned that I had just picked my car up from Elmhurst (closest dealer to me), and that I was just dropping in to grab a part since I was in the area. The guy that I was talking to kept looking at me like I was some sort of peasant, and totally disinterested. I am having a problem with my iDrive software and asked him if anyone has experienced the same issue. He kept insisting that because he didnt have the problem in his 2015 i3 and his 2015 GT that he *just* leased, it meant no one had the problem. Overall, I will never set foot in this place again, I will continue to take my business to Elmhurst. Other people here may be better, but this guy was enough for me to never go back. He probably wears the same suit so if you see a guy in a black pinstripe suit (I know I didn't think people wore those still either), stay away. read more

Recently bought a new M3 which i took advantage of European Delivery program that Patrick BMW offers. I think from now on that is the only way I will order a new car from BMW. Amazing experience and program. My salesman, Chris Lima loves his job and it shows. I always feel comfortable around him and he always helps to get me the best possible deal. Even after the deal was done, he still kept in contact to make sure I was happy. Service once again always have a good experience. Mark is my service adviser and hes a car nut as well. He understood my needs and didn't waste any time getting me into a new car. He is always accommodating and never tries to forced unnecessary services when you bring your car in for a specific problem. I purchased a new 2014 X5 and X6 back in December of 2013. The sales process wasn't the most professional nor efficient that I've ever experienced, but with their low price guarantee (they'll beat the lowest price you get by $500), I was willing to put this aside. My reason for my review today is because once you buy a car from Patrick BMW you can expect a non stop onslaught of people calling you to ask you how you're enjoying you car. This was nice/convenient the first few times, but 15 months later they've probably called no less than 150 times or on average three times per week. Heck, sometimes they'll call you three times in one day as they did just today. They called my cell phone, my wife's cell phone, and then my home phone around 8:00 PM tonight. It's the same un energetic "We're wondering how you're enjoying your new BMW" script every time. I've asked countless times for them to remove me from their list or to stop calling. I even stopped taking my cars there for service out of protest but the calls continue. ... The frequency of their phone calls is borderline harassment and if anything embarrassing. Attention Patrick BMW sales/marketing - please lose the auto dialer or whatever it is you're using and please honor your customers requests to have their phone #s removed and learn to respect their privacy. read more

In the past, I would never take my mini anywhere else for service. Now, they don't even pick up the service phone. I though maybe Auto Nation bought them out. Obviously a huge turn around in this department. Terrible service & response!! I called them to tow my car in & help out with blown spark plugs. I had to leave a message & no one even called me back. I was stranded. I had to call an independent repair shop & they handled the tow & repair. I tried calling yesterday to find out details of the scheduled maintenance my car is calling out, and no one answered their phone, twice. I was trying to give them a second chance.
