My sales coordinator was Rose, she was a joy to work with, as were Tim & Tim, the 2 gentlemen who assisted with the financing. All 3 of them are very personable, customer oriented & know their stuff. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction, everything was thoroughly explained. The monthly payment was a little more than I wanted to pay, but for what I got, it's well worth it. I loved the fact that I didn't need to haggle to get a great price, the price you see on the website is the price that you pay, but keep in mind that's before all taxes, fees, & any extras that you want are added on. For the test drive, I took the car to my mechanic, who checked the car out thoroughly, the car passed with flying colors, with a couple of minor issues that were addressed before I drove off the lot. I can honestly say that in all my years of buying cars, this was the easiest, most pleasant car buying experience that I've ever had. I highly recommend Hertz Schaumburg.

However as we were told by our sales rep they only have 1 guy who does the finances. This causes a huge backup if there is literally anyone else there trying to buy a car. We were there from 9:30am to 2:30pm. While buying a car is a process, it's not a 5 hour process. Esp since there is no haggling involved and we had the car we wanted picked out. By the time we were able to sign our contract we were already in a huge hurry So we had to rush the most important part of the whole thing. We carved out 3 hours, were fine with 4, then started to get annoyed and anxious at 5 We also noticed an interior light wasn't working during our test drive. The sales rep mentioned they would have someone swap it out but by the time we left it was still out. Either they forgot, or somehow in 5 hours had no time to swap out an interior lightbulb. They did end up changing it a few days later though We would defiantly go back and recommend to friends. Just make sure to bring lunch haha

The worst part was their sheer incompetence regarding state regulations. They insisted it was "mandatory" for me to show a driver's license since I was on the payment method, even though my wife was the primary buyer on the vehicle. This is completely false and NOT an Illinois state law. Instead of double-checking their facts, their staff chose to be rude and condescending to my wife on the phone while continuing to give us the runaround. Save yourself the stress and insulting treatment. The total lack of basic legal knowledge, combined with terrible communication, disrespect, and complete disorganization, makes this Schaumburg dealership a total mess.

I was having issues with the…read morevehicle seeming to "spin" its wheels while making turns, and the parking brake/automatic stop shut-off switch was stuck in the down position. The wheel issue took three visits because Kia America kept requesting the vehicle be returned for more pictures. I brought it back once on 08/14/2026 and waited 30 mins. Not really a big deal, but....Then on Friday, August 21, Schamburg Kia picked up my vehicle for the day. It was returned detailed, and it looked very nice. Luis did a very nice job. I wish someone at Kia had replaced the missing wheel well clips that hold the front bumper and the tire well together, but they didn't. Someone removed them, and they should have been replaced to keep the plastic from bouncing around. My biggest complaint is the center console switch/button. It was working (Automatic Stop shutoff) when I purchased the vehicle (Apr2026 - Certified Used-fresh off the transport), and it "passed" the certified pre-owned inspection, but it stopped working on August 9. I did not spill anything in the car or leave the moonroof open. The mechanic stated evidence of a liquid spill. I was not shown this, but I took the word of the mechanic and service advisor, Alex. This is not covered by Kia warranty or the Extended warranty that I paid a lot for. Okay, fine; I don't know what the previous owners did with the vehicle, as this car is WELL USED/ABUSED, as most used lease vehicles are. I ordered a 4x4 controller module and took it to my mechanic. Upon removing the center console cover, the switch was actually broken. All four clips that hold the PC Chip in place for the buttons to work were broken off, allowing the controller to separate and stop functioning. No evidence of a liquid spill. When we held the two pieces together, the buttons all functioned normally. At some point, the previous owner/mechanic/dealer worked on this module and broke it, and in the four months I owned and used the buttons, it separated disengaging the pc chip. Had I been told the truth by the mechanic or Alex, I wouldn't have ordered a new control module and would have repaired this one to return it to functioning. I expect honesty from my mechanic, and this is something I think Schaumburg Kia lost sight of. I still would have been charged and paid the $199.00 diagnostic fee, but I wouldn't have had to buy a new part. I am thankful that I didn't have Schaumburg Kia replace it for $865, as I never would have known of the deceit.

We made the service appointment for the recall repair online and when I dropped off my car I was told that the technician was gone for the day (Friday) and we either had to leave the car over the weekend or come back on Monday. I could not again take extended time away from work on Monday (or otherwise) to come back for another appointment so I left my car and took their loaner. When I returned the car I didn't fill up the couple gallons of gas I used because the only reason I had to use a gas vehicle was because they didn't accurately coordinate that the correct technician would be available to service my car and I didn't have the time for a second extended visit. They told me that they didn't confirm whether the correct technician would be there for the service because we make the appointment online and refused to refund their gas charges. There is nothing noting that I needed to call to make a specific appointment and they made no apologies about the fact that they accepted my appointment without having the correct staff available for it. They could care less that I had to make two trips and were completely unaccountable for their system not scheduling service appropriately AND didn't even fully complete the recall. Won't go back.

Special thanks to Chris, Rachel, and Brian for going far above and beyond to help with an unexpected car issue. Their professionalism and genuine care made a stressful situation so much easier. My car had an issue with the front headlight fan, something I learned is fairly common for my model. Chris explained that the entire headlight assembly might need to be replaced and recommended checking my warranty first, since the repair could cost around $2,000. Unfortunately, my warranty provider was very difficult to work with--unhelpful and inconsistent. After I struggled to speak with my warranty company, Chris and Rachel stepped in and called them for me multiple times. The company initially said the product replacement would be covered, so the dealership moved forward with the work. But later the warranty company suddenly reversed and denied the claim. Rather than pass that surprise cost onto me, Chris, Rachel, and Service Manager Brian made the decision to cover the repair themselves. I didn't pay a dime! They absolutely didn't have to do that. I believe most car dealerships would have said that their hands are tied, and forced the client to pay that cost, since they work separately from the warranty company. I am so thankful to have had these 3 employees, because they had my back. That level of integrity is rare. Throughout the process, they were responsive, honest, and professional, and I won't forget the kindness they showed. If you're looking for a dealership with people you can trust, I highly recommend them. Chris, Rachel, and Brian earned a lifelong customer. Thank you again

Here were the top annoyances: Air Conditioning - Broke completely in the middle of our July trip, the mechanic said it was quite old and missing some screws. It wasn't possible to fix on the road, so we had no AC for 4 days. Sensors - Many of the key sensors were inaccurate. Ex: black tank level, water level. This proved very challenging for first time RVers like us, who didn't have a feel for how often to empty or refill tanks. Door - The screen door was missing a piece of plastic, which created a hole for bugs to come in and the door itself required a VERY hard closure to latch. My kids could rarely do it themselves. Awning - Not functional; directions in troubleshooting book didn't match type of awning on our RV. Generator - Shut off inexplicably a few times. Mattress - VERY old and worn. Electrical panel - Literally kept closed with duct tape and wouldn't stay closed. Easy to accidentally turn things off. Privacy curtain - Held back with duct tape. Easily knocked open.
