Customer service was fabulous!! Normal Irish pub with live music for a Saturday night!! Had the Rueben wontons and they were *chef kiss. Also did a couple Irish car bombs and the server happily took video. Cool patio and building (seems historic)

You cannot go wrong with O'Shea's - a little something, for everyone! Whether you're looking for a proper meal or just something to snack on, the food is great! They alsos have an extensive drink menu. It's a large location so even if it's busy, chances are you'll still find somewhere to nestle into for your stay. Mostly "covered" in hard wood & brick it really has a cozy pup feel. From the greeter who met us at at the door, the bartenders, servers... everyone is great! Very personable. There was live music in the basement where they were serving up seasonal holiday drinks. They were all fabulous.

Here's yet another place we went while we were on a walking tour in the city! This was our first stop and it was a tasty one. The staff handled our group quickly and efficiently - and they were friendly! The soft pretzel was huge! The beer cheese (made with Guinness) was really good! We were also served a beer with it. I'd definitely go back and try some other menu items!

We had great drinks and dinner before a concert at the YUM. Although ordering occurs at the bar, we were checked on several times. The atmosphere was energized and cozy. Service was fast and the food was hot. Festive music was playing. It was a wonderful experience as usual!

Love this place. Great outdoor seating and big enough to bring lots of people! The food is actually great too which is hard to find with good bars

I did not try the food. Bourbon whiskey neat would be hard to mess up. They had my two favorites, and served it up quick. But I give this place 5 stars because I really like the vibe. The decor is a bit eclectic, but very fun, and the Staff was super friendly. I was greeted on entry, served promptly by one guy, but then checked on by every member of the staff as they moved through my area. I was a one-time stranger in town one night, ducked in during a torrential rain storm, sitting in a booth by myself... and they made me feel at home. A guy who had to be the manager or owner even included me in a conversation asking for my opinion as he was giving advice to a patron about things to do in town that did not involve his bar. I was a one-timer, but not anymore. I will definitely visit again the next time I am in town.

Went here on a Saturday for lunch after a morning of bourbon tastings while on a bachelor party. Staff took great care of us as most of us sat around the bar. Guinness pints were excellent and the fish and chips were some of the better ones I've had-crunchy batter, good fries, strong tartar. Really liked the ambiance as well. Would come back on another trip to Louisville.

I was very pleased with our meal here at the O'Shea restaurant. Came in here on it Friday evening here in Louisville. The atmosphere was very fun energetic had a good bar field. And I got my classic Ruben that always get everywhere I go they have it on the menu And tater tots. They were fantastic was phenomenal and I was so glad to get it from a traditional Irish place. I will definitely be back.

Delicious Fish & Chips washed down with a nicely poured pint of Yuengling. Service proved friendly attentive, and knowledgeable. The seating is clean and plentiful. There is a downstairs and main floor. The bar is well stocked. I enjoy eating here before attending a concert at the YUM Center.

Stopped in here for a drink and a quick bite. Service model is order at the bar (which I very much like!) and LOTS of seating. Great menu selection. From the bar we had miller lite, Harp Irish lager, and Jack Daniel's 12 year; which was very good. Food selection was the Patrick burger and fries (onions on the burger were crispy and delicious!), and the Duffy burger. Maybe it's the Jack Daniel's 12 year talking, but the best burger I've ever had.

This place was so great, we returned for a second time in the 48hrs we were in Louisville. The first time we went for drinks (our buddy said it was the best Irish coffee he had had in a long time), later in the evening we returned for the beer cheese that we heard some locals talking about, which did not disappoint. Made conversation with one of the staff members for awhile and got along famously. Unique items all throughout the place, bathrooms in a historic tunnel, a rooftop, and great live music. Highly recommend!

I had The Holy Ghost cocktail and it was a pomegranate hibiscus sour, it had just the right amount of sour! I do not like bitter drinks and this one was good and easy to drink. My husband had a couple of dark beers, I do not remember which ones but he liked them. They had a nice outdoor area but it was a bit too cool for that but it may be worth a return in the Spring to check it out. Bathroom was also really cool as the decor and theme spilled over into it. The waitress informed us they changed the menu a few months ago. Update the website please!! He was so disappointed that he only ordered fries to eat. I ordered the brunch burger. I love eggs but hate a runny yolk. I informed our server and watched her customized my burger (fry the egg hard please). As soon as the burger arrived, I knew I wasn't going to eat it. There was runny yolk on the side (gag reflex). I informed our waitress who was very apologetic about it. She asked the kitchen and they said they would remake it, but I opted for another burger (le sigh). Because they were so busy and hadn't started making my order, we just decided to pay for our drinks eat somewhere else after the game. The server was great, but our experience wasn't.

Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.

The cocktail menu features several cocktail specialties, a deep wine and bourbon menu, some other spirits, and a variety of primarily KY brewed beers. I had a couple of the latter options, and each of my two beers (neither of which I'd had before, a "Stone House" traditional lager and a "Kentucky Commons" low ABV cream ale). Our table split a couple of appetizers--the chili wantons and the spinach dip. Both were good with the slight edge to the wantons as they were fairly unique and very flavorful. The menu is not overwhelming--there are just over a dozen or so primary entree options but each looked very promising. I ended up going with the special, which that night was sea bass on jasmine rice with tomatoes. The sea bass was parmesan encrusted and super flavorful, literally every bite of my meal was on point. Great sauce that wasn't overwhelming, the fish and rice perfectly cooked, the little cherry tomatoes the best I've had all season. My wife had the fish tacos and loved them as well. Service was friendly. For the quality and ingredients, prices were fair. I'd say the drinks are even cheap. Dessert looked great, but none of us had room to try any. It was a rainy night and we were in the basement area, which is covered but doesn't have full enclosure, so it was loud as the rain hit the side covering, but dry and nice overall. We noticed two of the bar areas were empty on our way out, which looked like nice quiet places to meet. There's also the full upstairs dining room which looked nice. Reservations highly recommended.
