My PICKY kids loved it here! I'm talking so picky, it took multiple attempts for them to even try cinnamon rolls! They split a giant chocolate chip & macadamia nut cookie. I got a cheese danish with strawberries. Although I only got a few bites, my kids devoured it. The strawberries were such a great addition! I can't explain very well how the flavor of the strawberries & cream cheese mixed together but it was magical. Something so seemingly simple as a few slices of strawberries, made a big flavor impact. The cookie was crispy on the outside, chewy & dense on the inside, with big pieces of nuts & chocolate chips. I will definitely be back to try some other menu items. Patrick was very welcoming and friendly. He cut the cookie in half so my kids wouldn't fight over it. His bakery is a great addition to the neighborhood! read more

This is a small cafe with more outdoor seating than indoor. I don't think more than three people could sit together comfortably inside. Yesterday morning it was just me and my kid, so we grabbed a table and got french toast with guava jam and a spam omelet with white rice. The food was great! Transported me to Hawaii. Favorite new local spot! The space is clean, Patrick is great and we love what his is doing with the spot and his employees. Everything we have tried has been exquisite - especially if you are fortunate enough to get it as it pops out of the oven. We've been back three days in a row and gotten the same thing each time - biscuits and gravy (meat from local butcher), cinnamon roll (the tiny bit of red is from red hots he grinds up) with the BEST cream cheese frosting that comes on the side (not too sweet, not too cheesy), a scone (also not too sweet) with a great texture and an iced latte. Dog friendly too which is a huge plus. We will be regulars! read more

We ordered the saimen and lumpia. It was delicious! The noodles were firm and good. The pork and spam gave a nice salty spunk to the soup. But it was the broth that really made it good. Visited Patrick's and sat down to write this review as soon as I got home. What a gem...of a place, and Patrick himself! He personally welcomed us, answered questions, and clearly knew many of his customers. We ended up ordering the chicken pot pie (one of the best I've ever had...even their crust was perfect), the chili dog (not a crumb or scrap left), and the cinnamon rolls (divine). Large portions, beautifully presented, and affordable. But even if you come for the food, you certainly also want to stay for the atmosphere. Feels like a neighborhood bakery, a space conducive to slowing down and engaging in deep conversation, and peaceful with lots of sunlight. When they closed at 3pm my friend and I still weren't done with our food so as we were trying to hurry they said, without missing a beat, "Slow down! We still have to clean up and will be around for another hour. Don't rush on our account. You're welcome here." Will definitely be coming back to this place and you should, too! We had heard of a great lunch spot in White Center so today we tried Patrick's Cafe and Bakery at 10003 15th Ave. S.W. Located in a cute, neat little yellow house on a corner, this place is like a delightful surprise in a small box! There are only about 20 seats inside. All is very clean, neat and welcoming. We were met at the counter, where you order, by the nicest young guy with the BEST smile and who gave us great customer service. He hopped up more than once from his own lunch to help us with little things. My Mom and I both chose the soup and sandwich which consisted of a large cup of homemade soup and a warm sandwich on a croissant (ham or turkey and cheese). I was able to substitute homemade chili for the soup. It was a chili very thick with meat and some beans and just the right amount of heat. I really liked it! We both loved our meals. Ingredients in sandwiches, soup and chili were very generous and tasted "homemade delicious". We definitely plan to go back to try some of their other items especially the pastries and Hawaiian items. I've included photos of their menu...handmade, delicious looking pastries, many inspired by the owners Hawaiian background; a few sandwiches, a great-looking beef stew, homemade soup and chili and many Hawaiian inspired breakfast and lunch items like plate lunch, loco moco, saimin and lumpia. It's a somewhat small menu but very full of choices and flavors. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Patrick is the real deal. He is not only a trained pastry chef, he was part of the family who owned and operated the very well known Hawaiian restaurant "Sam Choys" which was a James Beard America Classics award winning restaurant. Patrick is so AMAZING!! He answered his phone 6 hours after the bakery was closed. My children wait the entire year to travel to Hawaii and eat spam musabi. Due to the pandemic, we did not travel in 2020 thus, no hope of spam musabi on New Year's Eve. I love Patrick's! I've tried their haupia cinnamon roll, which was really good, as well as their lilikoi cookies and haupia cake. The lilikoi cookies are my favorite! We were hesitant about trying food made with lilikoi stateside because there's just no comparison to eating it fresh in Hawaii, but we were pleasantly surprised. We planned a small group lunch at Patrick's Cafe and Bakery. We knew the food was going to be good and we were not disappointed. We had the Hawaiian plate and it was amazing! What a Hawaiian Plate, kale pig, lau lau, lomi lomi salmon, chicken long rice (the fat noodles, not the cheap one), squid luau (my favorite),sweet potato and haupia cake. Patrick makes the most delicious haupia! Everything was perfectly prepared and we were all in heaven! One of my co-worker's first comment as soon as she took her first bite of the kale pig was, "Oh this is perfectly salted!" Couldn't eat it all! Also got Noreen's Lilikoi Chiffon Pie! Wow, it was like I was eating the fruit itself. tart and just enough sweetness. I went there this past weekend and had the breakfast sandwich (on a croissant) and a latte. It was so delicious! The balance of the cheese and egg was perfect. The latte was really good, not too bitter. All I could think about was how I wanted to come back and try more of their menu. Instead, when I went back, I got the exact same thing because I liked it so much. I guess I'll have to go more often. The setup is really nice for good weather, with a large patio that could hold a fairly large group of people. The inside is small, but they did a good job with the tables so it doesn't feel cramped.
