Nice Bartenders but how on a Saturday night do you cutoff kitchen service at 8:30 because they are backed up. They were not closed but backed up. Patrick's pub is minutes down the road and each time we thought to try it they were so busy! Now I know why...because they are fantastic! Our food was delicious! Best fish and chips around! Very crispy and not greasy at all! We started with fried pickles, yum! And every Sunday they have a different singer! Slow service, being ignored and overall "meh" food (and that is for the orders that were correct). We stopped here on the 3rd of July, so they were somewhat busy (not as busy as they implied when we checked in). So we settled for an inside location (since the big selling point of this place is the view as far as I can tell) and waited. And waited. Finally got an order in for appetizers and drinks, got them in a reasonable time and then more waiting.The app's were ok, but nothing to write home about (I would be tempted to try the Irish nacho's if I ever go back). And then my order came, somewhat related to my original order (open faced Reuben when instead I got a corned beef sandwich (I did see the Reuben and it looked good, but that is not what I got)). And of course they forgot about the ice cream that went with my child's meal until we reminded them when we (finally) got the check after yet more waiting. read more

Will never be returning. My boyfriend and I went here a month ago, food was amazing, service was great. 3 of us went tonight the food was absolutely terrible, no marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks (after asking 3 people for it to be told they had none). Ordered the stuffed avocado and the avocado was rock hard. Ordered theyre sweet potato tots (that i absolutely LOVED when I went there A MONTH AGO!) and I received sweet potato fries that we soggy. Paid $86 for 3 people just to walk out of there beyond annoyed and dissatisfied. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

If you're looking for good beer on tap, a great lake view and delicious food then look no further. Patrick's Pub is the best place on Lake Hopatcong. Patrick's takes care of their beer taps and serves up Guinness the proper way. It's as if you've stepped foot in a Pub in Ireland and was poured the proper pint. The meals here also never disappoint. I recommend their house salad with home made vinaigrette and the Shepard's pie. They also have a nice specials menu to choose from. I'm happy to see this place reopened. I had a cheesesteak which was fine. Ate on the deck, so I didn't see the apparently huge beer selection. They should have a beer menu. I would have been more creative. Although, getting menus is a slight challenge. We were told to sit anywhere and then forgotten about. However, Once they realized it the service was fine & friendly. Went to Patrick's yesterday (Friday, June 17th, 2016) for lunch. We arrived by boat. The docks were in fine condition. The food was excellent - 2 appetizers, the fried calamari was perfectly done, so we're the garlic shrimp. I had the fish & chips, which were very good, my brother had the rib eye sandwich, he said it was excellent. Angela had the fried clams platter...both took food home. I had Corona on tap, while Jim & Angela had Guiness. They apparently pour enough that the taps stay clear. That's a big deal, especially with heavier brews. I will definitely be back! read more

Alright so let's start with, "Patrick's" is a market improvement from its predocessor which is NOT saying much. I waited about 20 minutes to even be acknowledged which is the biggest issue with me. The table seemed to not exist. The location was already besides it's placement directly next to a major thoroughfare. Let's get to food, I had a burger mid-rare which is my go to for judgement called when it comes to food. The burger was mid well done which I wasn't really ecstatic about. The burger had pork rinds on it which was something i wasnt used to, i did not eat them.I tasted their fried pickles which were alright. The ONLY saving grace of this place was my waitress Paula. She was very nice and attentive. Made sure everything was to our liking and that we were comfortable. She is the only reason I didn't give 1 star and I would return to give the place another shot. read more

So I had gone here about 2 years ago. I remember we ordered the cottage pie and Shepard's pie and did not like. Very salty, waiter charged us for a drink we didn't have a service was slow. We figured since we always eat at the same places on the lake, we will give it another try. So sad I did. The waitress had her mask down her nose and that grossed me out. We ordered wings which were Mediocre at best. I had a pizza which they said was homemade. Lie.. that crust tasted like a frozen crust slapped with prego sauce. It was gross. On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays they have a pianist come in that played a lot of well known songs from Broadway musicals. His syncopation, arpeggios and just general joy was catchy. The food was good - Irish pub faire and the Guinness was flowing. A delightful evening!!!! To learn that the musician responsible for the evenings festivities was 97 kind of blew me away. We were told by the bartender he would be with us in a minute and then proceeded to serve people that walked in after us. Needless to say we got up and left. His loss. I dine here once every month or two since I live in close proximity and always have decent meal. The food is pretty good - typical bar menu, large portions. They have your basic domestic beer on tap, would like to see a better selection with some rotating craft beers. I usually visit more in the summer, they have a great deck for outdoor dining and allow us to bring our dog (kept on a leash) which is a major plus! Came here for lunch last weekend and we enjoyed it. I got a cheese steak, my husband wings and my mother in law got a burger. Everything was priced very reasonable. I heard people saying they may have recently lowered their price which may be why I did not think they were expensive. Food tasted great. Location is good, since it is right on the lake, however, there are few slips and they are oddly sized so that you can fit only 1 3/4 boats... The deck has a nice atmosphere but the music goes from death metal to spice girls. The prices are moderate, $25 for a steak to $10 for a burger. I ordered to pork tenderloin which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The pork was dry and bland, and the mashed potatoes were the same. The vegetables tasted like they were from a can. Not a great experience. Had to sit myself, long wait to even get said hello to, only two servers on. Hiedi did as best as she could but missed a lot, the sale was awful, DON'T Get Patrick's salad. My Cuban Reuben was good and the bay breeze was excellent. I gave a 9 dollar tip on a 31 dollar bill because I didn't want to wait. Not because of service.
