Finally got around to going to Patrizias of maspeth and im not sure why it took me so long , the food was outstanding! Nice warm bread with a very flavorful olive oil started the meal followed by baked clams and buratta, baked clams were fresh and delicious, garlicy with a little red pepper bite, they use panko breadcrumbs and while they were definitely one of the the better baked clams ive had I think I prefer a more traditional breadcrumb. The buratta was fresh milky and creamy and paired perfectly with the camponta ( probably murdered the spelling on that). The oso bucco special was insanely good, fall off the bone tender,great sauce and the mashed potatoes with crispy panchetta were out of this world . My fish ..I want to say filet of sole?..i dont remember lol, was cooked beautifully covered with the same delicious breading as the baked clams and came served over a generous portion of spinach and garlic. Deserts were exactly what you would expect, classic and delicious and they also make a mean Manhattan..all and all I was very pleasantly suprised , this place is a definite gem on Grand ave , nothing can come close to touching it. My only complaint is the service could be better, started out great, then there was a shift change and it got crowded and I kindof fell off dramatically Also the ambiance could be better, its a nice space but too bright , that being said I will be back. read more

The service and accommodation was amazing... Stairs to dine upstairs not so much def cannot have injured or people who indulge in beverages do those stairs very dangerous... The ambience was wonderful and intriguing & elegant. Very classic! Staff bravo bravo we will be back although we didn't get our server's name the atmosphere went to a calm storm to chickens with out heads in minutes. My sis wanted to come here for her b day dinner after finding the Tomahawk Thursday deal on IG. The food was great, although I did want to like the pulpo more, it was ok. Everything else I did love! The drinks were amazing, and the Tomahawk itself was awesome! With the Thurs Tomahawk deal, it comes with a red wine bottle which I did want to switch out for something a bit sweet, but it only comes with a dry red wine option. First time eating here and it was great. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza, which was a little doughy for me, but my husband enjoyed it. My husband had the Fettuccine Alfredo and finished the whole plate. That's how good it was. I ordered the homemade pasta dish and it was amazing. The sauce was perfect and the mushrooms were a nice touch. The service is a little slow, but that's because the place is packed. We didn't mind though because we weren't in a rush to go anywhere. Our waiter was so nice. He checked in on us when he could. It's definitely a loud place so if you're looking for a romantic quiet spot, this isn't it. When I first walked in, there wasn't anyone there to welcome us, and the entrance leads straight into a staircase, which made me wonder if I had come in through the right door. Updating my review as you can tell from the first review service has not gotten any better. I was really disappointed with my experience. The restaurant felt extremely cramped, and the service was very slow. Our table waited a long time, and people in our group finished their meals before the side of pasta even arrived. To make matters worse, once coffee finally came, we were rushed to leave because they said people had been waiting a long time for tables. It was packed, but that's frustrating when the delay was due to slow service in the first place. Overall, the food may be good, but the cramped space and rushed ending after such slow service made the experience unpleasant. read more

Great spot for big groups. I love their family style dinner since no one has to think about what to order. My favorites are the margarita pizza, shrimp oreganata, and the pasta in vodka sauce. Not the greatest selection of wines served, but they give you huge magnum bottles. My only complaint is that the pace of the meal is soooo fast! We feel like we're speed eating. Service is great and they always make sure we're taken care of even when it's super busy. I also like the fact that I can make large party reservations on Open Table. Super convenient. A great place for a party. We had twenty people, we had a pre-fix family style--the food was flowing. The ingredients are fresh and the tomato sauce has no sugar in it (which is typical of low end Italian restaurants). Be warned-this is a party warehouse environment...the Lee are rows of tables with large groups. This means very loud and we must have celebrated 20 happy birthday songs during our 4 hours there. I recently ordered takeout from Patrizia's because I was craving linguini with white clam sauce, and it definitely did not disappoint. I believe there may have been a hiccup with the order, because the delivery status said that they were wrapping up and showed the courier at the restaurant picking it up, but then after a while the status changed back to "preparing your order" and the courier appeared to travel at least a mile or so away before returning. I feared that the linguini would be a soft mess once I eventually received it, but it was still perfectly al dente and the clams were fresh and flavorful. My only minor criticism is that a few of the clams were not sufficiently cleaned and so they were somewhat gritty, but overall it was a tasty experience and I definitely plan to visit in person someday. My brother ordered veal parm and loved it. Their focaccia is also delicious along with the seasoned olive oil they provide for dipping. read more

I'm so grateful for the staff at Patrizia's for accepting our last minute lunch group. We were a huge party of 27 people and they were able to accommodate us with short notice. The service was excellent and everything served was delicious. From the bread, salad, pizza, calamari, shrimp, pasta, steak and dessert, we enjoyed every bite. We had a family style lunch and they didn't miss a beat. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and still juggled some of their other lunch guests while making sure we were taken care of. The restaurant is spacious with an upstairs and big first floor dining room, which can accommodate big groups. We got lucky but I recommend reservations for the best experience. read more

Visited the restaurant with a group of about 15 with an advance reservation for their family style dinner for $65 per person (before tax and tip) which comes with unlimited wine and beer. This was totally worth the price. The food was fresh and abundant (I have never been that full in my life) and delicious. The drinks were great. The atmosphere even greater. My family and I came here for my mom's birthday today. The vibe was great and atmosphere very pleasant. My parents each got the fillet Branzino which was amazing! So delicious. My mom is a picky eater so I am glad she got this dish. She very much enjoyed it and I want to say that was the best meal at the table. Highly recommend. We all got some wines and some cocktails and two orders of calamari for the table as an appetizer before our meals. The delicious bread and dipping condiment complimentary at the table was very good. For 10 people the bill was pretty reasonable at a little over $500. I asked on the side to have an order of Tiramisu given to my mom with a cake and sparkles and they were so lovely to not only oblige, but turn the lights off and play music awhile bringing it out. The timing of the dishes was spaced out so we didn't feel rushed and had enough time to digest. Anything we didn't finish, we were able to take it in a to go container. Nice ambiance. Food was great. I had the salmon with spinach and i must say, it was the best salmon I've ever had. Service wasn't bad. I personally found it a little expensive for its Maspeth location hence the 4/5 stars. The house salad is ridiculously good. Do note, environment is more lively and cheerful than say romantic. Seems like every 10 minutes or so the place breaks out in song and cheer for one of many apparent birthdays, so the vibe is kind of light and festive. I'd be back for the salmon. read more

This restaurant is great for large parties & celebrations. The staff are friendly and efficient. They give birthday/anniversary shoutouts with participation from the entire restaurant. The food is delicious and consistent! I've visited twice in one week. The first visit with a group of 5 and later with a group of 9! The restaurant offers a family style deal that is affordable but instead we ordered up to about 12 entrees and ate it all family style. We ordered the Salmon, Lamb chops, Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm, Veal Marsala, Rigatoni, Penne A La Vodka and Pizza Margherita. The table favorites were the Salmon, cooked well but very moist with sautéed garlic spinach, the Chicken Parm & the lamb chops! The favorite side pastas were the garlic & oil & fettuccine Alfredo. The least favorite dish was the veal Marsala. For dessert we had the sampler that included the almond cake, Nutella Patrizia, tiramisu and cannoli! We've both been there before and had nothing to complain about the food is great. The service is great and we got the same when we went there. Felipe, our server was on point the entire night. And we kept things on the low. We didn't tell anybody it was our anniversary, but at the end of the night, the manager (i didnt ask for his name im sorry) surprised us with a tiramisu...must be a mind reader! After I paid the check, I thanked him over and over again, and I asked if I could buy a piece of cheese cake to go for my mother. He told me absolutely no problem in a two minutes later he came back with the cheesecake ready to go saying happy anniversary, You don't owe me anything.
