Attended a fundraiser at Patrizia's of Williamsburg tonight and was not impressed! They served many appetizers which were good, buy they literally brought dinner out SO LATE, after 9 pm that over 60% of the people left! (9:10 pm to be exact is when dinner finally arrived). Who eats dinner THAT late? Most people had already filled up on bread and appetizers and so when dinner finally came, they weren't hungry. I asked for a "to go" container. Another person at my table asked for some steak to go, but was told there was "no more." Could you believe it? What if the other 60% of people had stayed? Would they not have fed them??? Bizarre! Or did they purposely serve dinner so late because they didn't prepare or buy enough? The fundraiser started at 6 pm. Over 60% of the people left before dinner was served thinking there was no dinner coming. Then at 9:45 they served dessert. The waiters only asked certain people if they wanted coffee. We were not asked. I had to flag down someone to get a cup. Just not impressed and would not recommend this place for any event. read more

I hate to do this to Patrizia's - I will give it one more chance, but it's currently demoted to 2 stars because of the horrific experience we had on Saturday night. My family drives out from Bensonhurst (a 35 minute drive) to come to Patrizia's on Saturday nights, and we usually eat around 8:30pm or 9pm - without a reservation. We've always gotten seated immediately and have been in and out within an hour, our stomachs full and our hearts happy. There has been one or two large birthday parties while we've been there, but it's been a chill, family-friendly restaurant to go to. Since I don't see my family very often, it's nice to sit over a delicious meal and catch up. This past Saturday, after making a reservation for 9pm, we rolled up at 8:55pm. I was stunned to see a giant group of people packed like sardines in the enclosed patio area, where we've eaten before. What was going on? I saw 15 bottles of wine on a table and a girl wearing a tiara and assumed this was maybe a party. It took at least 10 minutes to push through the group of people and talk to the hostess because it turned out that everyone was trying to talk to her; this large mass of people was actually customers waiting to get seated. The wine was free to appease waiting customers. Uh oh. We should've left then, but I was unable to reconcile this with what I knew of Patrizia's. The hostess said there was one table of 6 ahead of us and that we would get seated in 30 minutes. At 9:45pm, I saw a girl come up for a 9:30pm reservation and realized the hostess was just adding her name to the very bottom of the list, effectively rendering the reservation system a lie. The grumblings of the people around me revealed that they, too, had been waiting 30+ minutes for their reservations. As I peered into the restaurant, I came to the sinking realization that everyone was getting the family style pre-fixe ($55+) that came with massive amounts of food and unlimited wine. The groups, on average, comprised 10 people. My normal dinner here only took an hour; people celebrating events with unlimited wine would reasonably take 2+ hours. I saw large tables of people who received coffee for the end of their meal exit the restaurant 30 minutes later, just chatting and finishing their wine. Most people stumbled out drunk. By the time we finally got seated past 10pm, I was appalled to hear that the restaurant was playing extremely loud music - YMCA, Shake It Off, etc. - and my family could barely hear each other when speaking at a normal volume. When the waiter appeared, we found out that they were forcing everyone to get the family style menu because the kitchen was completely backed up. This was the last straw; we didn't want food from the family style menu, and we did not want to pay $55 + tax + tip per person for 6 people when we were expecting to get 6 dishes for $120 for all of us. I was infuriated. Why didn't the hostess tell us that before we waited an hour? I looked around and saw that everyone was indeed eating the family style menu. No wonder the wait was so long. Thankfully, my brother argued with the waiter and he was able to accommodate us; he told us the food would take much longer to get to us, but it actually arrived within a quite reasonable amount of time. As always, the food was excellent; we tried the grilled octopus for the first time and it thawed the hard anger in my heart. I can't really stay mad when I'm eating such tasty food. I thoroughly enjoyed all the food we got, though the experience continued to be marred by the obnoxiously loud music and the loud, prolonged bursts of the happy birthday song, with everyone waving their napkins around. I think we were the only table that didn't raise our napkins - total party poopers, I know - but we really didn't come here for this. I guess we missed the memo; everyone else really appeared to be here for a birthday. At one point, the wedding song came on, and I was stunned that someone could have proposed in this mess. I really don't know what happened between October 2018 and this past Saturday; a person in front of us told us that he lived across the street and that it's always like this. If it's like this again the next time we come, I'm not going to be back. I hope not, though, because the food is excellent. read more

Very disappointed tonight with our delivery. To start this review off i would like to say me and my husband were happy with this restaurant until tonight. We placed our order around 6:15 for 7:15 delivery. 30 mins after delivery time i called the restaurant they apologised and said they are running behind and he said the driver has left he is on the way. We waited and additional 30 minutes and my husband called and they told him the same thing. 1hr 30 min later he calls for the third time to be told the food is leaving now meaning they lied previously. I was so glad to support this spot always had excellent food during covid but the quality has gotten worse and worse. I didnt complain about the cold paninis , but when wings , burgers and ultimately a whole pizza came ice cold as if they were prepped a day before put in a freezer then delivered is all I could take . Unfortunately I can no longer support what was once my wife and my fav spot . We spend anywhere from 150-250 a month here literally a car payment to help support a spot that no longer cares about delivering hot food in a timely manner. This place is so authentic! The ambience was so cozy and I felt as if I was at a family dinner. The birthday shout outs are so amazing. Everyone engaged and sang Happy Birthday. This is definitely a family friendly restaurant. We started the meal with 3 and ended up with 2 more friends joining our feast. Yes feast! The food just kept on coming. We ordered the family style which was more than enough food. From pizza to lobster. The restaurant gets 5 stars, my date gets -1star. After walking with a date, a total stranger, the Domino Park, I decided to bring him to this restaurant to try it out. I had dreams of bringing my ex crush here, but since he never made it to NY, I had to move on and take anyone who was available, wink, wink ;) The food: The food was good. The pizza sauce was not as much mind blowing as I thought it was gonna be, but maybe my date had to do with the way I tasted it. I have to be back to try more food here, because the menu is huge! Lots of choices. The Service: Was excellent, the waiters came by to refill the water and see if we needed anything. Very attentive service. The place have a great outdoor sitting space and a very nice indoor as well. As for my date, the Pilot, yes, he flies airplanes. He was the most aware of your surroundings person I had ever met. It doesn't matter which Patrizia's location you visit. They are all the same in terms of food and atmosphere. We recently came to this location to celebrate a birthday because if you've ever been to any Patrizia's then you already know birthdays a big deal here. This location is relatively spacious, especially since all seating is family-style. There was a group of 12 of us so we did the family-style seafood based menu. The food started coming out 5 minutes after sitting down, along with pitchers of sangria and bottles of wine and water. Every single thing I tried was delicious. Some of my favorites: eggplant parm, grilled octopus, spicy calamari, mussels, money bags pasta, and all of the dessert...ALL of it! The sangria here is delicious, as well, but it will sneak up on you. The staff was great and quick with bringing out fresh food while taking away empty plates. There was an issue with the bill at the end of the night but they quickly took care of it. There were plenty of birthdays taking place that evening and each resulted in the same song, the waving of napkins, and an entire restaurant of strangers singing to you. The music is also great all around and makes for drunken karaoke while holding a forkful of food. I grew up visiting the Bronx location and I am so happy that the Brooklyn location is the same. I definitley prefer this location over the one in Maspeth. We had a family event with approximately 22 people. They brought out several family style dishes: shrimp, eggplant, pizza, calamari, baked clams, salad, chicken parmesan, anti pasti, desserts and capuccinos were all delicious. Parking is pretty horrible as my partner described, however they do offer valet after a certain time. Its a nice Italian restaurant. If you are in the area, check them out. Staff was great and attentive. They kept the dishes and pitchers of sangria coming. The only complaint I have about this place was the Womens bathroom. We had reservarions at 1pm, therefore that bathroom must have been in that condition maybe from the night prior. For me to mention it on here it was pretty bad. Then We waited over half hour for our entrees which was just ok not as good as I expected. They offer family style options which is a good deal but we didn't order that since it was just two of us. It would have been good for a group. The staff had on masks but they didn't say anything to people who walked away from their tables without masks anything. If half stars existed, Iwould give 4.5. Patrizia's- honestly, I would never have found this place if a local did not recommend it to me. Forget little Italy and head to Brooklyn. There was a 35 minute wait past my reservation time, but we were accommodated with endless bottles of wine by the heated porch. The hostess, Susan, was so sweet and friendly despite the restaurant frenzy with parties of 20 plus coming in and out. When we got seated, food just started rolling out without us ordering one thing. Calamari, buffalo mozzarella, grilled octopus, prosciutto, eggplant parmigiana, baked clams, gnocchi, pink vodka tortellini stuffed with ricotta, steak, lamb, lobster and seafood medley , cannoli, tiramisu, cheesecake, wine, and more wine. Guests were throwing up their napkins and singing along to the throwback songs. The atmosphere was on fire. My friends thought we crashed someone's Christmas party, but it turned out it was family night so everything was served as such. When the bill came, it was $58 a person! Not bad!!!! On Saturday my friends and I came here to celebrate a graduation. The place is small cramped and crowded. We were all sat in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen. This seat was very uncomfortable because there are workers constantly coming out the kitchen with plates of food nearly knocking into you. The place was saw cramped that you could barely get out of your seat without hitting the other table next to you. I will say the food was good. But when we got the bill we were all overcharged. All of us have to call out banks because something corrupt happened with our bill. Five pieces of so called eggplant parm? Calamari wasn't fresh, it was old and gross! Where was the salad? We have no idea because it wasn't included! The staff wasn't as attentive to anyone! A friend of mine told me about this place and once I heard about the family style meals I knew I had to come! I was not disappointed! This place is so welcoming and warm, such a nice staff. I made reservations for 9 on a Friday night with some family and we showed up very late(10PM)! My sister never called to tell them but although we showed up an hour late we were seated within 5 minutes. As soon we were seated water bread slices and menus were brought to us. We ordered, rose, sangria and Pinot Grigio. By time drinks came we were ready to order dinner. Fried calamari, baked clams, pasta, and skirt steak. My favorite was the steak and baked clams. Big portions that kept coming out, cooked and not over seasoned! Clams were hot and delicious! The rest of the table loved the rest of the food and we left nothing on the plates! Not bad for 4 ladies! But toward the end of dinner we went to order dessert but they brought out 5 different desserts, and sang happy birthday to me! Everyone waved there white napkins and clapping. My husband got really bad food poisoning and almost had to go to the ER. When you walk in there is a strong musty smell, which should have been our first indicator to turn back around. Then I noticed my plates were dusty and I had to wipe them clean. Not sure why at this point we stayed but the $60 deal sounded good so we went for it. Everything tasted very basic and mass produced but not horrible. They forgot our salad dish but at that point we didn't care. Very nice restaurant! A lot of things are family style but they also have a menu you can get a "single" serving of dishes from(by single serving I mean HUGE). They have valet parking, wonderful staff, decor and of course FOOD! The place gets packed, it's designed for large groups/families so make a reservation. Even if you have to wait they have a covered vestibule in the front with TWO big propane heat lamps and a wine cart so you can keep in warm and happy spirits. All the food was full of flavor, large portioned and great tasting. It gets a bit loud but it's not a bad thing and when it's someone's birthday everyone twirls their napkins in celebration. It's like being at an extremely large family dinner. If you like Italian food come here and managare you won't only be full but SATISFIED! read more

Haven't been here in awhile, so it was time to take the family. Had a reservation for 8 pm 13 people. I knew going in as did most of the family it didn't matter. We would have to wait. The food started coming out pretty quickly ( if you don't know you can order family style, which if you have a group is the best way, and fun). I'm usually pleased with what I've gotten here portion size wise. It seems some of the portions have shrunk in size. I used to leave here not wanting to look at food for two weeks, not this time. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this place. It's fun, boisterous, and the food is good. The group sing-along songs, napkin swinging ( I think I developed carpal tunnel) is wild. A definite go to with a bunch of people, it's not good for a quite romantic dinner that's for sure. read more

Came here today (01/12/2019) with friends for a going away get together. I didn't choose this place but heard a lot of great things about the food here so I was excited. It was about 16 of us and we decided to go with the family style menu. Unfortunately, it wasn't all that I hoped it would be. It wasn't bad but I just don't see them being five star worthy, perhaps not even four star worthy. Here's why .... The restaurant itself was beautiful but the space was tight. Certain foods (jumbo shrimp, mozzarella/salad plate, bread, desserts, claims) were delicious and done well, while others (octopus, lobster, lamb chops) left a lot to be desired. All were not cooked/cleaned well. Staff continuously came out with food but some of us felt rushed. They kept coming over to our tables asking if we were done, when clearly we were not. I mean literally within two or three minutes of being asked they would come back and ask again. I don't know about you but I like to take me time and enjoy my food. To top it off there was so much food left over and when asked if we wanted it packed to go we said yes. We had two bags, so we thought, okay, cool. When we got home the only thing they packed was the leftover food that we had on our plates that we didn't finish instead of ALL THE FOOD that was left untouched. So very disappointing. The only thing I can say I enjoyed was the entertainment-ish. It was pretty cool singing happy birthday to folks and the feeling of togetherness. You don't know what "excess" means until you've done the family style dinner at Patrizia's. It's a 9-course dinner with dessert. You can pay an extra $10 per person for the 12-course dinner. The difference in the more expensive option are: grilled baby octopus, lobster, and lamb chops. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated for our reservation for 4, which isn't bad at all. There was already bread on the table before we sat down, which was probably a bad sign for our stomachs. Tons of big parties (a lot of birthdays for both the old and the young). Swing them white napkins when the music gets turned up. Since my friends and I are gluttons for punishment (and gluttons in general), we opted for the 12-course option. Here's the order of what we were served: -Burrata with pickled vegetables -Seafood salad (shrimp and squid) -Margherita pizza -Eggplant parmigiana -Fried calamari -Grilled shrimp -Grilled baby octopus -Baked clams -Lobster with clams and mussels -Homemade pasta (shells in creamy mushroom sauce) -Skirt steak and lamb chops (served together) Holy crap, I'm full just writing all that out. Some of the dishes were portioned out exactly for the number of people we had (eggplant parm, shrimp, octopus, and lamb chops). Everything else was shared plates. My favorite things were the baked clams, lobster, eggplant parm, and lamb chops. Didn't expect the lobster to come with mussels and clams, so that was very much appreciated too. Everything else was good or acceptable. The only true clunkers were the seafood salad (rubbery squid) and the fried calamari (more like stir fried with a little bit of breading thrown in). Of course, we capped off the meal with some espressos and a giant dessert plate. From what we could tell, there was a tiramisu (my favorite), Nutella crepes, a subpar cheesecake, and a cake that tasted like it was just pure cannoli cream. Oh, did I mention that the $60 included unlimited alcohol? We opted for red wine, and went through 5-6 bottles. They weren't shy about bringing them out too. If they saw a bottle open on our table, they immediately brought another and made sure our glasses were full (with a little too much gusto, even). Pretty sure I'm going to have to go on a diet for 6 months after this meal. I might have gout now too. But damned if it wasn't a hell of an experience. read more
