This is the first Yelp review I have ever written. Took a date here for vday, and we walk in with a reservation and theyre packing us in a corner with other waiting guests like sardines and like yelling at us. Clearly understaffed. Once we finally sat, food was terrible, drinks were terrible, took forever, waiter was creepy telling us he "loves us" repeatedly. Then, they randomly start playing edm at uncomfortably loud volumes for like 20 minutes. Everyones looking around like wtf is going on. Several people complained. Ordered my steak medium and it was barely cooked and the service was so bad i knew if i sent it back there was a chance id never see it again! Worst restaraunt experience in NYC. read more

Cute casual Italian place! Definitely a family-dining type place with lots of long tables and loud people. While you wait for your table, they give you complimentary wine and sangria, which is super nice but also makes the waiting area crowded. The service was fast, and the food itself was pretty good. 3.5 stars. My friend made reservations for 7 PM but we weren't seated till closer to 745. Arrived to find out that it was family style only, which was $60 per person. Since my friend had raved about the food, we decided to wait it out. The food was pretty good. They bring out several of their dishes for the table to share, so you get to try several things. The money bag pasta especially stood out; the sauce was delicious! The place was bursting at the seams with people--servers navigating nonexistent walkways, multiple conversations happening at once...all while pre-1980s pop songs blasted over the din. This includes the intermittent playing of "Sweet Caroline," which roused the crowd to sing along. It was grating at first, but became a little less so with each sangria. Though the place was packed, the servers brought out the food in a timely fashion. They were a well oiled machine for the Saturday night crowd. Overall good food. Would consider returning at a less popular and insanely crowded time. read more

This place is always a good time and great for large dinner parties. But warming the seating is TIGHT. They serve large parties family style and everything tasted great! Everyone who works here seems to actually enjoy being there and are super friendly. You can't leave here without getting the moneybags... so delicious! Went this past Friday after coming here every Christmas for the past 5-6 years and was extremely disappointed. They were way over occupancy it was an extreme fire hazard. It was hard to get in and hard to get out. They seat you so close but not only to your party but to other tables. The music was way too loud we could barely hear our server or our own conversations. The staff did the best they could do with what they had but it seems management is getting greedy by packing people in like sardines. read more

First off some tips. Make a reservation. We didn't but we lucked out with seating. It was packed. Literally, like everyone in Brooklyn decided to get pasta here. It was pretty fun seeing all the birthdays and graduations but not fun when you're waiting on an empty stomach. The staff is great. Attentive, talkative, lots of people knew our server. They definitely had great customer service and asked us multiple times if we needed anything. Now the food? I gotta be honest. Wasn't a fan. We got the fried calamari ($15), Fettuccine Carbonara ($17) and the Lemon Linguine with Scallops and Shrimp ($22). So for these prices, I'm like, excited to eat right? Let's start with the pros. Pros: Free bread! It was so good, there was a pita one and a focaccia one that was topped with cheese and zucchini (the better one). It came with this garlicky olive oil that was so good, we had to ask for more oil. They give you a small dish of cheese to put on yourself. Cons: Calamari: It was pretty oily. Wasn't super crunchy I think because of the oil and also not that flavorful. The marinara and lemon helped a little but I really wasn't impressed. I mean, I've had good calamari and I was expecting this to also be...good calamari. Our server also asked if we wanted a salad and I was pretty sure it was suppose to come with the order. It was like, he was offering it to us because it was taking so long but I feel like they wouldn't have given it to us even though it was suppose to. Carbonara: The pasta took forever to come out. I do agree the portions are huge but...is it worth it if it's not good? The pasta was well past al dente. There was no taste of cheese as it was literally an overwhelming taste of pork. The bacon was taking over. It was almost like eating a plate of pasta drenched in bacon oil. I also was expecting pancetta. It was just a huge glop of pasta with a ton of bacon bits. It wasn't amazing pasta by a long shot. Linguini: It was overwhelmingly lemon-y. It was also overcooked. I legit thought we ordered a plate of ramen. It was so soft and just a huge portion. Usually I don't complain about portion size but it was like they were making up taste with the serving amount. I liked the shrimp and scallop but other than that...nothing impressive about it. Overall, we ended up taking the leftovers but we didn't even eat it! I have always eaten all my pasta leftovers. So this was truly a miss during our NYC food adventure. Our bill was pretty expensive and we weren't left satisfied. I feel like they're doing well anyways, but it's not a place I have an desire to come back to. read more

Great service, excellent food, and fun old-NYC atmosphere. I went here with my boyfriend last night. We mostly went because we live just a block away and I was kind of attracted to how the restaurant appears to have a "pre-gentrification" feel to it. I really wasn't expecting much, and ended up having a far better experience than I imagined I would. The atmosphere is indeed pre-gentrification, which I really enjoyed. It feels like an older outer borough restaurant, and is intended for large groups (there are big tables and a family-style menu, but they also have smaller tables and a regular menu). It is a little loud, but that's part of the experience, in my opinion. The service was really nice and attentive. It seemed to me that all of the waitstaff was responsible for all of the tables, so there were a couple of redundancies (like being asked if we were ready to order or if or meal was okay more than once), but it was totally fine--better to be over attentive than not attentive enough. But anyway, most importantly the food was SO GOOD. I got the Patrizia's sole, which came with a couple big shrimp and some spinach. It's easy to mess up fish, but the fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. This made me very happy. Entrees come with a side of salad or pasta. I was too full to eat my pasta with dinner so I reheated it this morning and the pasta held up quite well, which is often not the case. My boyfriend's chicken parm was delicious, too. He can be pretty critical of food and has higher standards than me, so the fact that he loved it really is saying something. read more

One of my Engineers was leaving and he anted his going away dinner here and it was an amazing choice. We went with the Family Style Seafood meal, its $70 per person and we loved it. Honestly, we would have been fine with the $60 version without seafood because the stars of the show were the Lambchops, Skirt Steak and Money Bags Pasta. They bring trays full of each food on that list and you can order more if you want. Also includes a pitcher of beer and large(1.5L?) bottle of wine. The atmosphere was amazing and the petiole were great. We will be adding this as one of meeting places in the future. Be ready to bring a doggy bag home! My cousin and I came here for lunch on a Thursday and we had the whole place to ourselves. By the time we left there were about 5 filled tables. The service was excellent. We had two waiters help us but Paolo made a great impression on us. He presented himself professionally and recommended a lot of great dishes to us. Especially the dessert TOASTED ALMOND CAKE!!!! Is a MUST HAVE!!! (Forgot to take a picture of it) but it has the consistency of a tiramisu covered in almonds. The food was absolutely filling! The plates are humongous! I personally love Pappardella. The Pappardella Alla Bolognese was prepared perfectly! The noodles cooked to perfection. I was told this restaurant was great . Yet my family and I waited 20 minutes to be seated, which is fine being that the food was about to be great, so I heard. I would not know being that my family and myself waited more than an hour before we asked when would we be served . Only to be told the food would be out shortly while watching others being seated and served and finish their meal before we were served our meals. I can say the coffee and bread were great. As for the food, after over an hour wait, we left , hungry (with my 3 year old granddaughter) and 3 other family members. Upset and famished. Not a good experience at all. My go-to Italian spot in this neighborhood! The food is freshly prepared and the portions are enough for leftovers. It's not a dress up spot but they do host parties inside. The host had no idea how long it would be. Until we got seated . We waited an hour to be seated with reservations. I'm not sure what happened to their reservation system but it might have had a glitch.... The food was amazing so they get points for that . The lobster pasta was weak, noodles were bland and the mussels were quite small. The shrimps were great so that part of the dish I do commend. I ordered takeout and the atmosphere inside when I went to pick up the order at midnight was somewhere between dive bar and college sports bar. I WAS the customer who arranged and purchased the booking. Now with that out of the way I will repost my review. I usually come here every year for a work holiday dinner. It's usually decent but This time around it was a nightmare. The food was good like it usually is but they didn't give us proper portions. There wasn't enough food for our party of 15. Not to mention my reservation was for 8 PM and i booked this dinner two weeks in advance. But I had to wait in the lobby for two hours before they can find a way to seat my group. They scratch names on a piece of paper and have no dedicated system to figuring out who can be seated next. When tables are finished with their meal they let them sit there for two hours after they pay for their meal. I'm used to the loud atmosphere but this year it was unbearable. There were people standing on tables and chairs and screaming at the top of their lungs. They were banging on the tables and none of the staff told them to get down. A table full of people passed around wine bottles and took turns chugging it. In the end 2 people threw up all over each other and on the floor. It smelled like puke and this was only one table away. My friend asked 4 times for gluten free pasta and pizza because he's allergic and they never brought it. A waiter almost got into a fight with a customer. This place was off the hinges today. Like I said before I'm used to the loud fun atmosphere but it seems like things have gotten so much worse because they have no control over their patrons. This was made worse by the fact that they insist on playing the music louder and louder as the crowd gets louder. I won't be returning here ever again. 90 percent of the time, I plan what I will eat but I'm always opened to try new places but last night I decided to get what I felt was dragged to go out with three hours of sleep from the party the night before. Additionally, I loved the BUCCATINI ( it taste just as good the next day) and Prosciutto Di Parma Pizza. But please don't let me stop you to explore more items on the menu; other great food I had were Lamb chops & Skirt Steak were perfectly seasoned and tender, Eggplant Parmigiana ( needed a little salt but very good), Fioretti alla boscaiola ( yummy but if you want to fit a lot of other yummy things don't go do for it, it puts you over the top) a Grilled Octopus and to end the night you HAVE to get the crepe with Nutella ( it taste just as good the next day) Please stop in you won't regret it, it's a small place in that you are not sitting far from others so if you don't like that order to Go. Delicious went the day after mother's day arrived soon after they opened. The place was pretty empty at the time of arrival. Visited on a Friday evening for dinner and what a nightmare! Too loud couldn't hear a thing! Floors throughout the restaurant are slippery and sticky and bathrooms were so gross! The floor in one of the bathrooms was completely wet and slippery and the smell was terrible. Food was ok not amazing for the hefty price tag and not to mention since it's family style and so chaotic and a server dropped a whole eggplant filled with red sauce on me! Got on my jeans, jacket, my purse and in my hair and didn't even come back with napkins to wipe it or even an apology from the manager which is insane! I had to use my wipes that i brought to clean up the mess they spilled on me! They need to get it together at this restaurant because the customer service was terrible. Ordered a kids meal and the kids were only given water to drink servers didn't even ask if they wanted a soda! This might be the worst family style restaurant experience I've ever had and definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. I was on a weekend trip and only had one jacket and the sauce was everywhere couldn't even use the jacket again. Left this place very disgusted. We were seated pretty fast but waited like 15-20 minutes to actually order, the restaurant was packed so I gave it the benefit of the doubt until I noticed other tables that sat after us get bread water ect and we still haven't even met our waiter. We ask to order finally and finally our server comes, we get the family style prefix and he proceeds to tell us it's more $20 more per person bc it's Valentine's Day, we don't care bc we have been to the patrizias in maspeth and I love it there, been there multiple times zero complaints; wish I knew my fiancée was going to take us here I wouldn't have came anywho our food slowly comes out and I notice the portions are much smaller then they usually are; odd especially when you're paying more. The food was ok the calamari was surprisingly good and the baked clams too. They gave us half a pizza in maspeth they give u a whole pizza and tiny plate of steak and a brittle two little pieces of chicken parm that taste like it's been under a heat lamp for hours. The sangria was basically just wine and ice no fruit no nothing just wine and ice. We felt ripped off. The dessert was so delicious probably the only thing better then the patrizias in maspeth. The service was eh, when I asked to order the girl got an attitude like if I was bothering her but she legit saw us waiting mad long with nothing on our table. Our server was ok but the excuse that the portions are always like that which they aren't and that it's Valentine's Day made me side eye a little. My thing is if you can't accommodate all those people at once don't put all those tables out and don't take all those patrons at once. I get you want to make money but now you are just stealing from your customers and that's not right. OMG, yes - new favorite place of all time!!! I came here last night to host my mother's surprise b-day dinner. They were super accommodating with reservations and my back and forth questions/comments. Once the entire party arrived we were greeted with super attentive wait staff. We chose the $50 menu which included tons of delicious food, unlimited wine, sangria, beer, cappuccino and dessert. My aunt can't have red sauce - the staff accommodated her perfectly by providing the same dishes but without tomatoes! Everything was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back. This is a PERFECT location for large parties. $50 plus tax and top (which they include in the bill), comes out to $65 a person, which is great for the amount of food and drinks you get! read more

Please avoid BK location. Music was extremely loud felt like a club and the food kept coming out cold besides the pasta. Their portions for family style was ridiculous.! I've been to their Maspeth location a few times and the service/quality of food does not compare. Brooklyn definitely gives you less food and the service was wack too. I found it weird that BK location cold plate did not come with cold cuts but their Mapseth location includes it ( Again less food). The only thing I would say is the same is the dessert tray. I will never be coming back to this location. Frankly i'm upset I spent so much money to receive like 20$ worth of food. While I do understand their beverages/alcohol is unlimited in the package; please do not serve 5$ box wine mixed with fruits. I can go to my corner deli for that. Overall just upset. Unfortunately this restaurant does not meet any standards of an A list hospitality. I would give it less stars, but you can't. The "sangria" is basically juice with pieces of apple in it. You get small portions for "family Style".....One small piece of eggplant per person, one shrimp per person, claims so small, and no salad. Over crowded, with constant Doordash carriers walking straight down the dinning room (with helmets on). So close to everyone. Half way thru dinner (we got there at 7) and waiters started carrying big blacks bags of garbage down the middle of the dinning room on their shoulders. How is this allowed to happen?
