Came here last night 6/6/21 for graduation dinner. First time here and have passed by this place many many times over the years. Came on day one grand opening and server's were down and just never came back until last night. They were super jammed packed and very busy but handled the hungry guests well. This is such a good Mexican restaurant in the Broward area. They have such an extensive menu with some fusion style plates too. Recently this time I went the service was kind of meh and they changed the menu and upped the prices on almost everything. The food overall is great! We have been loyal customers of this establishment for years and have never had a problem. Tonight felt like we experienced a completely different restaurant. My mother ordered tacos and the tortillas were so greasy they were leaving a grease trail, when we sent them back they were brought out on cold stale tortillas and had little to no meat. Since my family is so familiar with the staff we finally got help from one of our regular waiters and she assisted in changing out the tacos for steak platter. Even though it was ordered medium well it definitely came rare. Now although the food was not up to par it was not the problem. Every restaurant has a bad night and it is understandable. The biggest issue was the way we were addressed by the manager! He took it upon himself to come over to our table without being asked just to chew us out... we were told and I quote "we make our food here like this all the time and if you don't like it there's something wrong with you not our food." And this was just one of the many things said making us feel unwelcome. Never in all of our years coming here have we been treated this way. The wait staff was so embarrassed they apologized on his behalf. Definitely lost a customer of many years tonight. I come here a lot. The Mexican food is pretty good. The service is excellent. Very friendly, positive vibe, sometimes they have a mariachi band. On Tuesdays the specials are amazing. Of course you can always order whatever u want. Normally I get the fajitas combo. Portions are pretty big. They give you chips with salsa and beans. Can't beat that. Like I was saying, on Tuesday's they have the best Taco Tuesday specials. It's all you can eat tacos for a can't beat price. You get three tacos at a time. Catch is, they have to be three of the same. You get a choice of chicken, ground beef, or shredded beef. It used to be only hard tacos, but now they also serve soft. I still prefer the hard shell. I had a taste for tacos and this was suggested by my friend. It's a nice sized place with booth and table seating. There is a bar in the middle of the location. Service was efficient and the waiter was very helpful. An order of still hot tortilla chips is served with salsa and regrows beans as an appetizer when you sit down. We dined in around 6:30 on Saturday night. We were seated promptly. Restaurant wasn't crazy busy at that time but started getting busier around 7:15. I have been going to Azteca for years, but they closed the one off 84. I discovered this one just recently. They have the same food. I recommend the Dos with a Chalupa its giant. The food is amazing, and the servers are so friendly. I don't think you can go wrong. I fill up on the chips and dip and salsa, which comes as soon as you sit down, then eat a little of the Dos. However, the service has always been mediocre and well tonight, absolutely horrible. I had to ask for everything. it took 30 minutes just to order and another 30 minutes for my food to come. I also ordered food to go. When my food arrived the order was wrong. Rather than fix the order the girl handed me a plate and said here just scrape it onto this plate. I still wanted the lettuce but no guacamole. I explained this to the girl and the fact that when a customer doesn't want something on their plate you are supposed to take the plate and remove the item and re-plate the meal. I had to order a side of lettuce/tomato and cheese ( $1.50 X 2) just to complete a decent taco. Sour cream extra$$$$ as well. The rice and beans that comes with is pure slop. well it happens that yesterday June 12 I was feeling like to try for the first ever Mexican pizza? What a big mistake. The pizza was so greasy and the dough very soapy. I had tho use a fork because it was away too soft. I try one slice and left the whole pizza on the plate.
