Delicious Philly cheese steaks. While there are other sandwiches, burgers and wings I always opt for a cheese steak and occasionally fries. The sandwiches come on amoroso rolls, which is what a traditional Philly cheese steak comes on. I like the phatty with cheese, which is steak, cheese, fried sweet peppers and onions. It is delicious. You can get a small (6") up to a biggie, which I've never tried because it's huge. I normally go for a medium (8") or large if I want leftovers. The fries are normal and you can get whiz fries with cheese whiz. A good place for a Philly cheese steak in Denver. read more

While waiting I looked around and the floors were filthy. Children were were crawling around on the floors. The children were barefoot. Grimy bathroom. I wanted to go higher, but the bread is not very good. The meat and toppings were all really good and deserved a solid 4 stars, but the bread is very chewy and hard in spots. Had three sandwiches and they were all the same way. I prefer softer bread, but that's of course a personal preference. I know people that do like bread like this so the sandwich doesn't get soggy. If they had a better, fresher bread this would be a four star place to me. Had the Garlic Parmesan fries and they were really good. Cooked right, not soft, not burnt, and the staff was really nice. Taste of Philly for me here on out. Nobody answered the phone for my curbside and when I came in I waited unassisted until I finally asked where to pickup. I asked the girl that basically tossed me the bag how I can get my tip back since I was treated rudely and she said to call the manager. So I called. Cute sub shop with the plexiglass windows covered in cool stickers, and most of the tables were full of people. And everything on the menu sounded delicious! They had green chile philly steaks as steak of the week. I got that in a nine inch and the husband got the nine inch chicken bacon ranch. Chicken tenders for the kiddos. And cheese fries to split. That sandwich...Ya'll...Seriously one of the best philly's I've ever had. The bread was fresh and soft, it was STUFFED full of meat and cheese and just tasted amazing! Hubby loved his too, and we had half each left over because it was so stuffed. The chicken tenders were fresh and big and the fries were super yummy. I don't believe I have never left a review of this place. This is a must visit every time I'm in Colorado. The food is just that good. They used to have a location near the hotel I frequent in Denver, but sadly that location closed a few years ago, and now I'm forced to go to this location. This location is great, don't get me wrong, it is well worth the drive, but I miss the convenience of having it right down the street. It all started one day while driving back to my hotel, when I saw this sign beckoning "Pat's Steaks" being the adventurous type and not to ignore the signs that appear in my life, I decided to veer into this establishment. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Somehow after reading the menu full of tasty delights, I came across the mother of all sandwiches, their mushroom Philly. The guy making it asked me if I wanted hot peppers on it and onions, I said yes not knowing that heaven was about to enter my mouth. Over the course of the next few years, I made Pat's my first stop in the Denver area, before checking into a hotel, before work when I had occasions to work in Denver, before anything. Nothing could top the Big Daddy Mushroom Philly. I got a frequent customer punch card and despite living far away, I have gotten close to a free sandwich. Sadly that location closed, but several years ago in my despair, I came across the original location for Pat's. They have the same awesome employees, the same great recipes, and the same decor. They don't offer the big daddy size, which is just as well as I'm not really sure I ever needed that size, but it is still missed. They do still offer the best Cheesesteaks I've ever had. They are definitely worth the trip and today, like every time I get to Denver, it was my first stop after getting into town. If you find yourself in Denver or anywhere near Denver, you definitely want to stop here! I know I'll be back before leaving Denver. read more

4/12/2021 I ordered a cheesesteak sandwich and while waiting, observed the cashier that was previously handling cash and credit card transactions helping the cooks prepare food with bare hands, no gloves. I watched as this persom was reaching for black olives with bare hands putting the olives on on a sandwich. I also witnessed same person cutting 4 sandwiches, again without gloves. I was able to get the cashier's attention and asked for a refund because I changed my mind. I explained to the cashier that it was state law to wear gloves for handling food. I cannot high five this place as a place to go to for food, especially during Covid pandemic and with all the variants now in Colorado. I WILL NOT RETURN! read more

My wife ordered the chicken tender platter and I ordered the chicken finger sub with just chicken tenders and cheese. There were no other customers inside, literally, not exaggerating. We waited 20 minutes for our food. We realized the reason it was taking so long was because the employees were making their own dinner before ours. When my food arrived, it was incorrect. I had to send it back and wait another 10 minutes for them to fix it. They did give me the incorrect sandwich to go because they were just going to throw it away and gave me a punch card for a free sandwich. The food itself tasted like nothing. The chicken tenders were dry and tough. The bread was thick and tough. The fries had no taste. As a side note, I'm from upstate NY and have been searching for a chicken finger sub. This was not it. I've been a regular for a few years but had never felt inclined to review because in all honesty it was very much a 3.5 star place that I went to out of convenience and because it was better than the other places (but not by much). NO LONGER. I went today expecting the same somewhat mediocre experience and was blown away. First, they added a delicious milkshake to the menu. I got chocolate, it had a great texture and solid flavor. But the cheesesteak. I was shaken. They switched the bread and the cheese to meat ratio, and it was amazing. I was just in Philly and this was honestly a more enjoyable experience than Ishkabibbles (although the meat still wasn't as flavorful as pat's king of steaks or Jim's). And yeah. I was shocked. I do sometimes regret ordering the large sandwich size because I shouldn't be eating that many calories, but their sandwiches are so good, you have to indulge. Looking for a place to do lunch today since we woke up too late to do breakfast, total bummer. Coming off the January Secret Supper Club and an extended conversation on Philly Cheese Steaks and where to get them I decided that we were going to go to Pat's. A little drive down Quebec and we're there. Buried in a strip mall on Iliff and Quebec was Pat's. We got there early so no one was there but us. The woman at the counter was very sweet and talkative, I enjoy that at a place like this, a little personality always helps. We ordered the same but opposite, one chicken steak and one steak steak with cheese, onions, and peppers, also a side of onion rings since the reviews mention how good they were. The steaks were tasty. For myself I appreciate big chunks of chicken and lots of onions and peppers and the sandwich did not disappoint. The onion rings were crispy, not greasy and when you bit into it you could here the crunch. Since I'm from Philly I'm a bit critical of steak shops. Nothing overall bad about the steaks or the experience, I just can't go four stars yet. My Philly peeps would tell me to really make sure they are top notch! read more

I'm a cheesesteak hound and I traveled pretty far out of my way to come to Pat's based on all the good reviews, but I don't see what the fuss is about. I came at an odd time (2pm) so maybe that had a lot to do with it, but the service was so lazy and an unenergetic that it really made the experience less than great. I was the only one in the place and the manager was training a new employee at the register so they didn't acknowledge me right away which I could understand. But two minutes of standing there like a doofus wasn't what I had in mind. And when I asked if their mushrooms were canned or fresh he said "fresh" but he lied.
