i'll try not to be a pretentious native New Jersey girl with this review honestly i don't have a lot of negative things to say tho! i was really craving a classic slice of NY style pizza since moving to Chicago recently, and I found this place! i got the wicker baby slice and the vodka slice and they were overall pretty good. i'll start off by saying that both of these slices were super garlicky, the flavor was very strong and unexpected and honestly a bit overwhelming. the wicker baby slice was pretty spicy! it had a strong red pepper flake kick to it and the spice was a bit overpowering overall, but it also had an interesting slight sweetness to it to balance it out a bit? it was an interesting slice of pizza and i enjoyed it! the crust was pretty spot on for a NY style pizza slice, which i believe is the most important part of a pizza. the vodka slice i enjoyed less but it was still alright. the crust was a lot thicker and the cheese was also a lot thicker. i actually didn't taste the vodka sauce at all which was kinda disappointing. it wasn't bad but definitely wasn't as good as the wicker baby slice. overall, i thought this place was pretty good and id come back here! read more

I've been to the one in Logan so I was excited to try this location out. This location is definitely more of a fast-casual vibe where you order at the counter and grab a seat. Not a fan of Chicano deep dish pizza but this Chicago take on New York style pizza was pretty good. We were a little hesitate at first as you can either order a pizza or order by the slice but the slices are sitting in the window display. Thankfully a friend reminded me of this place after so much time outside of the city so that we could make a quick stop before we continued our late night up Milwaukee Ave. My go-to Sausage and Giardineira tasted great and the Vodka Roni was also a pleasant surprise that might be my new favorite topping combo. I AM OBSESSED. My absolute favorite pizzas here are the Logan Zaddy and the Wicker Baby. The Logan Zaddy's star ingredients are the pepperoni, bacon jam, and Mikes hot honey. A winning combination and ADDICTING. The Wicker Baby's star ingredients are the pepperoni and the tomato sauce, which is so savory and has a spicy kick! I love that you can order by the slice here, especially when you're looking for a late night bite. But I also love how massive their whole pizzas are! Seriously, carrying a pizza box home is such a welcome workout to build my appetite before devouring this pizza. It's a bit unwieldy to carry because it's so massive but so worth it. It's just a window shop so you buy a slice of pizza and go, but it looks like recently they have opened dining inside. And the pizza itself is so good, they are thin giant NY style slices.
