I love breakfast and boy did we enjoy Pat's! Quaint little local-feel of a place and well worth the stop! Their special selection was above and beyond what you normally see! Dad had the breakfast bowl and the gravy in it was the best I've had in memory! The croissant sandwich was eggcelent! Three eggs with choice of meat and cheese was plenty of food and at the right price! I couldn't get enough of the coffee, it was hot and really tasty! Staff was friendly and great! The food was awesome. It was out last meal in Florida before heading home and it was worth it. Bring cash. They only only take cash and have an ATM on the premises. In our party we had biscuits and gravy, the scrambler, French toast and eggs Benedict. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My eggs Benedict was incredible. Good thick slice of ham. Came for breakfast the Monday after Labor Day. I found a huge chuck of a glass plate in my potatoes. They responded that an irate employee went off the night before and busted plates, cups, and even the front door. She said the potatoes were from the day before, this is concerning that they didn't throw them out and anything else this employee touched. It was clear to me that this employee was on drugs, no telling what else was contaminated. They didn't even know what to do, No way anyone in our party was eating, no way! Hard to find, but worth it once you find it. This is a cash only no frills place where none of the coffee mugs match, but you won't find a better breakfast. Even if it is crowded and you have to wait there is free coffee and picnic tables overlooking the intracoastal. This is down home good southern cooking and you will probably see Pat there. The nostalgic pictures all over are just fun to look at. I would recommend you try this place. read more

Yuck! Regular bread from a store bought loaf, under cooked eggs, hashbrowns were a white blob on the plate with no sign of crispness. Omelettes had mushy frozen broccoli and canned mushrooms. Best I can say is the coffee was hot. read more

I do dearly love Pat's. My daddy used to bring me here when I was a little girl, and he told me that it was a secret place. Which is kind of true. If you don't know how to already find it, one would never just stumble across it in passing. I love almost everything about this place, starting with the self serve coffee out back while you're waiting for a table. The picnic tables with the board games, view of the river, everything is sublime... Outdoors. it's once you get inside, that's where the action begins. Menu items to make your eyes light up in your tummy say howdy, the servers are longtime employees, and go out of their way to welcome out of town guests. It is my understanding that when the bike events are in town, this place is packed & I know why. Good food at a good price with friendly service. I really like their scramble which is just about everything you can think of thrown into a pan scrambled together served up on a plate with a smile. they also offer a punch card 10 punches and your next meal is free. I had eight punches on a card, and was leaving town. I didn't think I would be back for years so I gave away the punch card to local. It made his day! Hope to be back soon. PS they lost one star because one morning I was dining with an African American friend, and could sense and almost smell the prejudice & hostility wafting from the server. Even her tone of voice when addressing my PhD in Microbiology dining companion was impatient and frosty. He odered a scramble and she said to him, as if he were a child and as of yet unable to read: "Ah don't know if you realize this. Everything comes all scrambled together, ". I don't know if this was an isolated incident, & I hope I never see it here again. I tend to rotate between here and Mikes. After all, breakfast IS the most important meal of the day. It's not often you actually get to watch the cook prepare your meal but this had an open kitchen and WOW was I shocked and how they handled my food. First, the cook scooped mashed potatoes out of a styrofoam container and plopped it on my plate, next he used his bare ungloved had to pick up my bread and meat to make my open-face turkey sandwich and placed it on my plate. He then covered it all with gravy and then placed my "Fresh" meal in the microwave along with my side of "Fresh" corn and warmed up my food before bringing it to my table. It wasn't even hot after NUKING my food for 2 minutes. Now I am no expert but I have worked in the food industry and am well aware that no one's BARE hands should ever touch a person's food. Disgusting and gross and I will never go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone. In fact I may be calling the health inspector to have them take a look at this place. If you can find it, you're in for a treat, if you like good food more than glitz. No big signs, and the door faces the water so you aren't likely to stumble across it, but thanks to a tip from a local we found it. It's not fancy food, just good down-home vittles, pictures of cars, funny signs, and waitresses likely to call you "honey" or "sugar". Our crew sampled omelettes, pancakes, BLTs, eggs Benedict, coffee, and more and even the picky eaters ate it up. read more

My favorite Breakfast eating place when in the Daytona Beach area. Been coming here since before 1990ish when visiting my SIL in Port Orange. We go for a beach walk on Daytona Beach in early morning as the prelude to an "undiet" menu of sinfull proportions, selections and price !!! Superb service by a very courteous, trained and caring wait staff. The HOOKER is I can have COLD WHITE WINE with breakfast after the long sometimes humid walk. Always ice cold and extremely refreshing. The food preparation is top drawer so forget about calories. The pre-walk is for increasing blood flow only !! You save your daily calorie count by not thinking about anything else to eat before supper...Oh well, excepting for some more cool wine while waiting. My SIL is lucky enough to lice very close to Pat's and I envy her...great choice. Even if you arrive with a long waiting list , the wait is worth the experience..pj read more

This is my favorite breakfast restaurant on Earth. Better than IHOP or Cracker Barrel. I have planned vacations around their schedule. Everything they serve is great, and portions are generous. My favorite item on the menu is Chipped Beef and Gravy over toast. I just love this stuff. It may not be healthy for me, but it's sooooo goooood!!! I also love their egg omelette's. Tye serve great pancakes too. The pancakes are Huge. They are shaped like a Mickey Mouse head, a large circle the size of a serving plate with two smaller circles for ears. My mom always cuts off the ears and takes them back to the room for her next days breakfast. Everything is delicious. I've been there for lunch too and was not disappointed. But, I'm addicted to the chipped beef and gravy. I'm planning a trip down now for the last week of May. I know which week they close for their vacation in June but I'll be calling just in case.
