I made an appointment today to actually get my fluffier husky done by one of the groomers because she needed some deep help with her undercoat. The groomers name was Kaitlyn who did her and she did a great job. Very friendly, got Skye's undercoat out, and gave me a recommendation for which brush I should buy for inbetween grooms. This is definitely a great place and I highly recommend it for a professional groom or a self wash!

We've been going to that other "smart" store for over five years to have our dog's nails trimmed…read more Ever since, they've told us that we can just walk in and they will do the trim. The most we've ever had to wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. Today, was no different, walked in at 10:15a, let them know that we needed a nail trim, the associate said that the earliest they can get us in was not till 12 PM without an appointment. An appointment? I explained to them that in the five years we've been going to them for nail grinds (which is pretty frequent) we've never had to make an appointment. That's when she said that making appointment has always been in place. So, I walked out, came over to The Good Dog. The General Manager greeted us, even while working with another customer. Listening how he handled the other two customers in front of us (who appeared to be regulars) set the tone that this is a friendly place that we want to be a part of. You know, it's like "Cheers," you wanna go where everyone knows your name! Well, they were able to get us in right away. They advised we typically do not need to make an appointment for nail grind, but to simply call up to make sure they are not busy at the moment, otherwise can get in quickly. I think that's reasonable, fair enough AND smart! "Thanks, Good Dog!"

I chose not to continue patronage, but the offer and continued open communication was very appreciated. Original Review: This is the first time I've been to this location and decided to go here due to the large number of good reviews. They were able to fit my appointment in very last minute, less than 24hrs notice, super friendly staff, and lots of merchandise. Also great cut options avaliable for someone new, trying to figure out what a new groomer can do with a new client. Asked them to brush his teeth and grind his nails, to which they accomplished (at least his breath smells better). With that said, I was told they would contact me 20 minutes before he's ready for pickup, they did not. They messaged me when he was done. No big deal. When I picked him up, immediately noticed the uneven cut job. As we're driving home, noticed A BUNCH of dirt left in his coat. Makes me question if they bathed him, and if they did, they didnt do a good thorough job. Also started to notice the uneven cut throughout his body, from his stomach where they left bunches of fur, to his back, which seemed as though they used two sizes for razors. They cut him (most likely by accident) but just reinforces my suspicion that they rushed through his entire "grooming". For the $100 package, counting $15 for dental/nail grinding, I can't say I'm not disappointed. Unfortunately, will not be coming back. Sincerely disappointed :( I will have to bathe him again, give him a complete haircut, and finish areas they didnt even attempt too, such as the hair under his nose going into his mouth.

This groomer has a little play area that your pup can walk freely in before and after their appointment. Right when we walked in my dog was not scared at all, a little anxious because it was a new place but not scared. When I picked her up after her appointment she was relaxed and happy. My dog felt very safe here and she was definitely in good hands. I loved the way my dog was groomed and the amount of time and price are very reasonable. She was very responsive to my questions and she even sent me before and after photos of my pup when I was on my way to pick her up (she will give you a heads up before she is done so you can pick your dog up right after she is finished). However, this last experience left us very disappointed, particularly with the owner, Yvonne. Upon picking up Phoenix, I noticed some blood on my fingers once I got home. Initially, I didn't think much of it and washed my hands. When I brought Phoenix upstairs, my wife immediately noticed that he was bleeding. We found the source of the blood was a wound above his tail. Checking downstairs, we saw blood on our baseboards and his dog bed, though fortunately, not on the couch. I called Yvonne to ask why she didn't inform us about Phoenix's bleeding. She responded that she forgot to mention his cyst had opened up. I was very unhappy with this response, especially coming from a business owner. I then asked if her assistant, Art, had given Phoenix his haircut since we had issues with him before. Yvonne assured me that she had done the grooming herself and didn't notice any bleeding. The bleeding from a popped cyst wasn't the main issue; it was the lack of communication from Yvonne when we picked up Phoenix. During our phone conversation, I asked what we should do, and she recommended taking him to the vet. We ended up taking Phoenix to the emergency vet since it was late, which cost us $300. A few days later, after my wife texted Yvonne to schedule Phoenix's next haircut, Yvonne informed us that she could no longer see him. She cited our being 15 minutes late for the last appointment and my reaction to finding Phoenix bleeding as reasons. Overall, if you are okay with poor communication, terrible customer service, and potential injuries going unnoticed, then this place might work for you. Otherwise, I would strongly suggest finding another groomer for your pet. And for the record, I have the receipts to back up my claims.
