Food and service spot on as usual! We sat at the bar (as normally happens (happily) for a party of 2- and TBH this is my favorite place to sit. There's a gentleman with a braid who always happens to be our bartender/ servire. He's amazing of the time. His service and the food are both perfectly consistent every time. 10/10 recommend Paul Bar.

Very nice intimate bar and restaurant. Host/owner is very friendly and welcoming. The staff was great. It can get a bit loud with all the conversations since it is a small place but was still able to hear my friends. I got the roast duck special which was great skin was nice and crispy well seasoned. My friend ordered the meatball which was huge and nicely tender. I think there was a bit too much thyme but was still very good and the marinara was tasty. Overall great value and food was great.

My favorite bar in Palm Springs. Best fish and chips on the planet. The cocktails are the best. Nice menu and nightly special dish. Fabulous happy hour. The decor is cool and I love sitting at the bar sipping my Sidecar. Great service and of course Paul is a delight.

Palm Canyon Drive is the obvious choice for most Palm Springs visitors -- easy, walkable and great for people‑watching. But wander a little and you'll find treasures. Paul Bar / Food hides in a plain strip mall by the airport. Step inside and the scene shifts: mahogany bar, tuxedoed servers, a stylish East Coast feel. No reservations; expect a wait. We perched at the bar and watched Mark craft cocktails with theatrical precision. Standouts on the menu: Rack of Lamb (Ernie's pick), Chicken Schnitzel and the Paulburger. Daily specials include Saturday mussels, Thursday pot roast, and a Sunday‑only meatloaf with carrots and mashed potatoes -- which I gratefully ordered. The wedge salad was a perfect crunchy starter; the meatloaf was gloriously meaty, tender and well seasoned. Ernie's lamb was flawless, with fingerling potatoes, spinach and a cherry compote that tied it all together. Short version: just go.

Yes. There's a line. Yes. You have to wait. Yes. The service is excellent and it's totally worth it. Food is incredible especially the desserts. Super cool decor. Would go again in a heartbeat.

we waited about an hour on a sunday night before we got a seat, but I think we got a bit luckier because the group right behind us were still waiting after we finished our meal. overall I didn't think the food was worth the wait, but my partner did. - frozen bourbon sidecar: pretty strong - short rib dip: my partner really loved this one! the rib was very tender and the bechamel cheese was something else. the toast was also crunchy and moist - paul burger: we ordered medium rare but it was more rare -- the fries were good though

BEST RESTAURANT IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! Do not miss. If you see a line, PLEASE wait. I am not a line person, and this experience was life changing! Best food and Manhattan cocktail I've ever had in my entire life. Most impeccable service. Such kind people surrounding us. 100% the best dining experience ever. Thank you Paul, you are a GEM The line goes by so quickly, please do not worry. 10/10 experience, nothing like it!

We arrived, waited in line for 15- 20 minutes, with winds, but the building provided plenty of coverage. Not bad at all. Allowing for friends to catch up without to much simultaneous. Once inside you're transformed to PALM SPRINGS! So much detail to craftsmanship. The care taken for the bar, lighting, decor absolutely appreciated! The difference in glasses for each drink is so special. You feel like your experiencing a taste of old Hollywood ot Vinatage Palm Springs. The intimate seating (that is so comfy) and the colorful surroundings fills you with a sense of style, class, and joy of just being. We shared a few laughs with the couple dinning next to us. Great conversation and wonderful recommendations. I loved an experienced individual whom enjoys sharing with others. The atmosphere, staff, and food was fabulous. Worth the wait. Definitely coming back for fish and chips, 4 people recommend tonight.

I've been to this restaurant twice now and it has to be one of my favorite place to go to. This place is always jam packed and I understand why. There's always a line to get in because they don't do reservations. I've tried their meat loaf served with a side of caramelized carrots. It's probably one of the best things I've had. Then, recently I tried their lamb rack served with potatoes and broccolini's. It was so delicious I wanted to lick my plate. If there was anything I would tell anyone to try, it would be the lamb rack.

04/26/2025 Weekend get away drove here from LA want something yummy with interesting environment! Walk in Friday night with my boyfriend , was greeted by a sweet gentleman and the place was full. He said the wait was 10-20mins which was not bad! The decoration reminded us the bar at Magic Castle. Boyfriend ordered a cocktail called the Black Manhattan looks strong and I had a sip it is! Then we have the chicken wings, that was juicy! The flavors are delicious and spicy! Then we had the big flats steak and pork chop, both are on the dried side. The steak that I had was tough has many tendons. We both kind of regretting that we didn't listen to our waiter which is not his fault the food came this way or the chef just happened the meat was tougher that day. To be honest we really wanted a pot roast which is their special menu but that does not come everyday! That day we were there their special is fish n chips. If you want specific special menu I would call and ask ahead of time so you want be disappointed so we learned the hard way. Overall love the service, our waiter was so nice and understanding after I mention the steak was tough, he ask if I need to switch out anything but I felt bad because I already ate some.

The two-top table near the bar, with mustard-fabric lounge chairs on low spindled "moon-lander" inspired supports seem to have jumped right out of a 60's time machine, matching the retro vibe in the whole place. Our server was delightful, regaling us with her informative descriptions of her favorite dishes... it's fabulous when a server knows the menu so well that they can describe not only what's in the dish, but why it's so good. Cocktails were an obvious strength, and after my first choice, the pear-inspired Akita was regrettably "out of stock" (she informed us that they had run out of the fresh pear syrup they make by hand each day), I was steered to the It's Giving Julius. This boozy take on the classic Orange Julius, with a mouth-watering egg-white-textured foam floating on rum-infused a citrus blast. For Gayle, it was a moment to savor the non-alcoholic "Clutch Your Pearls," complete with boba pearls atop an icy lime-green concoction. The entire restaurant is themed on "American comfort food with an Asian twist." And let me say, they nailed it in every aspect. My bowl of Tteokbokk was a brilliant spin on a classic Rigatoni bowl, subbing Korean rice cakes for pasta and gochujang spiked tomato sauce for marinara, but keeping the rich parmesan/mozzerella cheese. At the server's suggestion, I topped it with fried pork belly, well executed and delicious, the entire bowl was light with an arrabiatta-like kick. My wife had the Garlic Noodles... imagine a creamy bowl of chicken noodle casserole straight out of the 60's, but without a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken in sight. Velvety sauce glazed perfectly cooked Ramen noodles with vegetables and chicken... took her right back to her mother's kitchen where the same dish was the perfect remedy for the flu - comforting and scrumptuous without being too heavy. And finally having not overstuffed ourselves on this trip, we opted for the "poor life choice" of dessert. And after asking for the "simple plate of milk and cookies," the server corrected me and stated - rightly so - that this was anything but simple. Three stuffed cookies: Red Velvet with cheesecake cream, S'mores with marshmellow, and cinnamon filled Churro - nuggets from Heaven's bakery, with a glass of cold milk. We managed to finish it and roll on out full of some of the best food we've had this year. The only minor hiccup was when trying to buy merch on our way out, the front stand didn't have a terminal to let us pay, so we had to seek out a bartender to run our credit card (and they were super busy). A minor complaint in the grand scheme... get those hosts a card reader! Note: We didn't see a single dog in the place... but they clearly are welcome to 4-legged clientele. Such a fun spot.

There's a reason this is one of the toughest reservations in Palm Springs…read more We managed to grab a patio table, surrounded by plants and classic Palm Springs energy, and the atmosphere absolutely lived up to the hype. If you can't get a reservation, bar seats are first come, first served, and I can see why people line up for them. This was probably the most expensive meal of our trip, and at times you definitely feel it. A Belvedere martini with no vermouth for $27 made me laugh a little. This isn't Vegas. That said, much of the food was excellent. The Duck Liver Pâté was incredible, and the Red Thai Curry Mussels were unique without overwhelming heat. The Cacio e Pepe was one of the standout dishes of the week. Those thick noodles were fantastic. We also ordered the Steak Frites and upgraded to filet. Unfortunately, it came out overcooked, and I asked for it to be removed from the check. On the other hand, the Smoked Bone-In Duroc Pork Chop was perfectly prepared and incredibly moist. Dessert finished strong. The Aniston's Pavlova was excellent, especially the Chantilly cream. The warm chocolate chip cookies were delicious too, although $15 for cookies is definitely a Palm Springs moment. Pricey? Very. Worth experiencing? Absolutely.

While we were seated, The hostess went back and forth from checkin area and the dinning room. She looked panicked and kept talking to different staff members while we waited. Finally she said to come with her to our seat. It was now 8:40pm. She took use to a corner booth that was very small. I couldn't fit in it and my guest who's a size 34 had a hard time sitting in his seat. So they said to just wait there for now. So we was left standing in the walk way to the outdoor patio area. It was very uncomfortable to be standing there, while they tried to figure out seating. We stood there for just over 5mins. Then she said the only thing they had was a high top in the other corner. I said no to that, so they left us standing again for another 5 mins. Finally they sat us down at a table, right next to where we were standing. It had very low lighting, it was so dark we had to use our cell phones to read the menu. My issues is why leave your guest standing in the middle of the dinning room in a walk way for so long. then rush you to place your full order at one time. The kitchen must have been closing up. Now, the food and drinks. The Pork Chip was excellent and the Mussels were too. The Steak was very small dried out and over cooked. The Onion Tart was cold and soggy. The cocktails were great. Only issue we had, was the price of a shot of gin. My guest wanted to try it. We were charged $18. for it. My cocktail with the same gin was $21. This was a Birthday dinner for my guest. I would've thought they would have given him a desert like they did to the others that night, but I was wrong. Over all the evening was an uncomfortable $240. that I wish I wouldn't have done. There are many other fine dinning restaurants that offer better service and food for what we experienced. I don't know what happened, but I'Il be sharing my experience with others.

My entree was the delicious Carne Asada. The skirt steak was sliced thin and it had a smokey hardwood grilled flavor to it. The refried pinto beans were a nice complement to the meal. My wine, a Chenin Blanc was crisp and fruity also perfect for a hot weather night. Eight4Nine is a great addition to the many delicious restaurants in Palm Springs.

San Jacinto mountains, this bar and grill offers a fun atmosphere and great scenery. The food is classic bar fare -- nothing groundbreaking, but reliable and exactly what you'd expect. You won't be disappointed, just don't go in expecting the best meal of your life. They also have a wide selection of big, fun cocktails, and the music is loud and upbeat, which adds to the energy. They offer happy hour, they're dog‑friendly, and the vibe is very casual. By night, the space turns into more of a dance‑club atmosphere, so it definitely shifts depending on when you go. A solid rooftop option if you're looking for views, drinks, and a lively scene in Palm Springs.

I'm not sure if it's always like that or not, but we immediately ordered pops since we needed to drink something. I got the 3 burger sliders since I wasn't as hungry and they were pretty good! Fries are good too. My brother and dad both seemed to like their burgers. The zucchini fries were an interesting menu item and everyone seemed to like them too! I tried one of the teriyaki boneless wings as well and was NOT a fan. I would not suggest getting wings here. Overall, I'm guessing the burgers are the best option here. I wouldn't recommend coming here just for dinner. I'd say the atmosphere would be better for a casual night of drinks and apps with friends.

Friday night large party dinner…read more We had a big group and made reservations beforehand. Our table was ready for us once we arrived. They were super busy for a Friday! The bar was backed up so we each ordered two drinks at once to save on the wait time. The Mint cocktails all around. We started with truffle fries to share and the touch of rosemary made them extra tasty. Plus with their homemade ranch! This was too good. We ordered a couple dishes like the charred cauliflower, flatbreads, bruschetta, and short rib. The cauliflower was very flavorful especially with the pistachios. The short rib was a hefty and meaty dish, very good. The mushroom bruschetta was loaded with mushrooms and really good with the garlic chili oil. Shout out to Brooklyn! There's indoor and outdoor seating. There's plenty of parking as this is located on a hotel property.

The most edible item was the date appetizer, but not worth the price for 5 little dates. We ordered a salad, the half chicken entree, a flatbread and the short rib entree. The chicken was so tough we couldn't cut into it and sent it back, despite our rude waiter trying to gaslight us into believing it should be served that way and we must just not like it. The short rib, which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus looked as if it had been sitting under a lamp for an hour. It was cold, flavorless and the potatoes could literally be picked up in one chunk. The disco sun shareable cocktail was good, but we had to send back the crushed olive martini as well. It was pink and tasted somewhere between a fireball experiment and lighter fluid. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. There should have been some kind of apology but we were met with attitude and disrespect despite a nearly $300 bill for a mostly inedible meal. The prices are INSANE for being so terrible.

I've been in once before a while back for a drink which was just whatever then. But everytime I would walk by, it was alway lively. Today, after a stroll along the boulevard, we popped in for a drink. Of course they were pretty busy to start with. Checked in with the hostess which we mentioned that we just wanted a drink and if we could sit along the hi top counter along the front. Her reaction was quite cute and sweet and seated us there. I believe our waitress Brenda or Brandee (I could be wrong). The sweetest and friendliest. We happened to make it right before happy hour was over from 3-5. The menu was quite small both for the main and happy hour. Main consist of some starters, a handful of entrees and some desserts. HH had some drinks special, a couple dollars off drinks and some dollars off shareable plates. We just had one of the beer on tap which was on happy hour for 6.00. Also one of the flatbread pizza which came up to 12.00 on happy hour. A recommendation from the waitress which was great. It didn't take long for drinks to arrive and then the food right after. Flatbread was quite nice and cheesy. A good combination for a meal. We were having dinner later so something lite to share was great. During the time we were there, the live entertainment was setting up with live music. A nice treat to have while dining. The location is excellent. Right in the heart of town and on the main strip where people watching is amazing. There's a full bar right in the middle so that was nice. The hi top seating along the front is perfect for people watching. The whole patio seating is great for people watching. Overall, we enjoyed our quick little bite with a cold beer and flatbread. Service was great as everyone was very sweet and friendly. Love the live music added to the dining experience. Our waitress was amazing and the sweetest.

While we're shopping downtown a bit we came across a Tommy Bahamas Grill that we visited in Ft Lauderdale FLA. We had such a great experience there, we decided to try it in PS. We sat outside and Scott the server greeted us and he was great. The service was great from start to finish. It was happy hour time a we do love our happy hours. We ordered a couple of drinks and some of the shareables. We had the Ahi Tuna tacos, which were very tasty. There were four of them with a wonton shell. Very creative. Also had the margarita flatbread in which the cheese was different but delicious. We had the chips with a side of guacamole and salsa. All very good The outside atmosphere on the main strand was pretty cool. I am sure we will be back when we come back.

The reason for the one star review is did not get to eat here, the menu is very limited and it really didn't offer anything for vegetarians. I tried to get them to add salmon to a salad just to add a protein and they said it wasn't possible to do because it was not dinner time yet. Just kind of weird with the spot that gets good reviews not being able to add a protein to a salad. Also, the place was empty inside no other customers in the dining room so it's not like they were slammed and too busy to do it Really wanted to try the food here as of the positive reviews, but didn't work out.
