Been craving just a normal sub for a few days, so today was the day! ...late lunch. Here because my friend recommended it years ago. First time. Nothing fancy, just a basic Torpedo. Not sure how they can sell this two piece sandwich for $10. I'm only eating $5 worth... but unfortunately, not a fan of these chips which are called "funky fusion" which means a little bit of everything... Not particularly a fan of BBQ flavor. Should have known, but the sandwich is just what I was looking for. I think I met Paul. Should have asked. Nice, friendly guy. #HoldThePickles

It was our first time visiting Paul's Deli and it definitely won't be our last! The sandwiches are great and made to order. We ordered the Italian sub, it was very satisfying and portions are generous. I'll have to try Paul's Special next! I believe we ordered with the owner or manager, he gave us recommendations and even added their Pasta Salad for us to try! Their menu has something for everyone, whether you're craving a classic deli sub or something more filling. The vintage photos and posters inside give the space a nostalgic feel. The staff deserves a special shoutout. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place has a strong sense of community. Even when it's busy, they keep things moving while still making customers feel welcomed. While we were ordering and asking for recommendations, longtime customers were chiming in with their favorites, that kind of experience is truly special and rare.

Best damn sandwich I ate in recent times! I went here for a lunch break with my fellow Park Ranger. The ambiance looks like a Rocky movie with vintage menus and boxing/ sport pictures. The service is welcoming and felt like grandma's cooking brewing down the hall. I like the scenery.. A classic hole in whole joint :) I ordered the Paul Special sandwich, which consist of a ham and sort of Italian recipe in it. The vinaigrette is so good that enhances the whole sandwich's flavor. And of course a combo meal consist of a drink and a chips. This place is so simple and humble that I will go back here for more :)

Get the torpedo! So so good! Chicken parm is great and the pork sandwich as well! Nice family place

Italian small...remembered to take a pic halfway through the first half. Very filling!

We got the turkey cranberry, Italian and Paul's special...the all hit the spot! Very tasty subs. Paul is super friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like you are family. Definitely stopping by next time we are in the area!

I was craving sandwiches, so my husband took me here to satisfy my craving. I ordered the 6" meatball sandwich with extra cheese, but it didn't come with the extra cheese--slightly disappointing. It also wasn't as saucy as I'd hoped, but still a solid meatball sandwich that hit the spot. My husband got the 6" Italian sandwich. The flavors were great, but he felt it could use a bit more shredded lettuce. The highlight was the hospitality from the owner, Paul. He was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made for great conversation. The ambiance had a classic mom-and-pop feel, decorated with soccer photos and trophy pictures.

Great Place! Feels like a real Italy sandwich shop. Boxing pioneers everywhere on the walls.

Menu board as of my 10/16/24 visit. Ceiling tiles in disrepair and overall, a little messy.

Working in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. I had a hankering for a Meatball Sub or a Philly Cheesesteak, and it was suggested that I try their Meatball Sub, and that I also just order a "half", as they were huge. It came with toasted bun, plenty of cheese, but the meatballs were a little on the smaller side. Also, the sauce was a little garlicky, but still tasty. They did have some good deli-style "Dirty" brand chips in several flavors, which I enjoyed. The dining area is not the most modern or updated. There were four tables and four chairs at each table, but also a lot of stuff stored in the dining area. The kitchen work area is a little bit dark, there were panels missing over some of the lights, and the beverage refrigerators were only partially stocked (less than half full). Parking is easy in the large shopping center lot. I was a little surprised, as Yelp reviews for this place rave about the food and service, and I thought that it was quite average. Maybe I was in on an off day. I would stop in again when working in the area to give them another try.

See that right there? I circled it for you. That, my friend, is a good sub. The Paul's Special.
    John B.

The reason they call it a deli is because it's DELICIOUS! If you want an American style sub sandwich and you're in Westminster, CA, then you have to try Paul's Deli. I've eaten the subs from here about four or five occasions. I have never been disappointed. I like the roast beef and the Paul's special. This deli is small and unassuming. The decor is ALL boxing related so that is pretty cool. The staff is super friendly. And they put pride in their craft...crafting a sub you can depend on. Paul's Deli....There just ain't no substitute!

    Kenneth M.

Not a lot of places you get to interact with the owner. Paul welcomed us with a lot of enthusiasm and energy. You can tell he's proud of his business...respect! Wife was craving. Meatball sandwich and it did the job. I had the recommended Italian, both 1/2 subs and it felt like a full sub at other places. It was good. I like mine drenched in oil and vinegar so I should've asked but it was a nice balance of flavors. The meatball could use more sauce but (again we should've asked) but it was good nonetheless. We will be back. Great neighborhood sandwich spot we found.

This place gives me NYC deli vibes, the service is amazing and the turkey sandwich was one of the best I've ever had! Bread is perfect, turkey and cheese was fresh and the veggies and Italian dressing on top was Highly recommend this place!

We were headed toward REI to grab some outdoor chairs and decided to stop at GHOST Sando Shop in Huntington Beach. I've driven past this place plenty of times and never really knew what it was. It also happened to be one of the only places open in the shopping center that early, so we figured, why not? Man, we had no idea what we were missing. We ordered the Melrose for ourselves and a Club for our daughter. Marco took our order and was also the one making the sandwiches. A few minutes after we sat down, he actually walked over and asked me, "Are you sure you want the pepperoncini and tomato on the Club?" My first thought was basically, uhhh... yeah, of course I do! Then it clicked. The Club was for our daughter. Marco had remembered that from our conversation when we ordered and knew that a lot of kids probably aren't exactly excited about pepperoncini and tomatoes. Meanwhile, Dad over here completely forgot to ask for them off. That might seem like such a small thing, but THAT is customer service. Marco wasn't just taking an order, collecting payment, and moving on to the next customer. He was actually paying attention. He remembered who the sandwich was for and took the extra few seconds to come over and double check before making it. Good looking out, Marco. Seriously. And that wasn't the only interaction we had with him. Marco was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in. He talked with us, answered questions, and even gave us suggestions on other sandwiches we should try the next time we come back. Nothing felt forced or scripted. It was just genuine conversation from someone who seemed to actually care whether we enjoyed our experience. There were only two guys working while we were there, yet everything was running smoothly. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was relaxed, the bright green interior gives the place its own personality, and there's plenty of seating inside along with a really nice outdoor patio area. And most importantly, the sandwiches were GOOD. The Melrose was a great first choice, and Melody enjoyed her Club, thankfully without Dad accidentally loading it up with pepperoncini. We also grabbed some Calypso lemonades, which went perfectly with everything. We originally stopped here simply because it was open and convenient. Now it's somewhere we'll intentionally come back to. There are thousands of places where you can buy a sandwich. What makes you remember a restaurant is usually the people behind the counter. Marco made us remember GHOST. Excellent food, clean restaurant, great atmosphere, and genuinely outstanding customer service. We'll definitely be back, and next time, Marco, we're taking you up on those recommendations.

When I went back to ask for help, the original cashier brushed me off saying she was on break, and a male server told me they didn't even have any Ube Beignets available??? Umm, wait it's less than an hour past opening time. Being "out" of a front-and-center promo item 30 minutes after opening feels like a bait-and-switch. Take the sign down if you can't honor it.
