wonton soup mapo tofu chicken chow fun
    AJ L.

Decided to give them a second chance after coming shortly after their opening in 2018 - unfortunately, their food really just seems to range from "ok" to mediocre. As noted by a number of other reviewers, just about all of the Chinese takeout staples - fried rice, chicken and beef stir fries - aren't particularly memorable here; not terrible, definitely a step up from Safeway's food bar across the street but maybe not by enough to really justify spending more. None of their appetizers were particularly impressive either. Tried the wonton soup - very simple-tasting but not in a good way; The taiwanese popcorn chicken - decent salty peppery garlicy flavor (hard to go wrong) and "karaage-like" texture but fairly overseasoned. I didn't dislike the crab wontons but the texture was a little tough rather than light and crispy and the filling was much more cream cheese than any noticeable crab. While everything seems more or less competently executed and nothing - save the "authentic" mapo dofu - was outright unpleasant to eat (not on account of being too spicy but just because under all the ginger and pepper it really just didn't taste very good), at best their food seemed pretty much on par with what you could get frozen at the store. Would be nice to see them maybe narrow down their menu and refine their seasoning/core dishes a little bit to make them feel a little more worth the price but I'm not holding my breath. To their credit, the portion sizes are decently generous - assuming you aren't a super big eater, you could get away with ordering 1 dish for dinner and spreading it out over multiple days with rice. As far as the quality of food goes compared to the price... unfortunately, it's pretty much par for the course here on Bainbridge.

Came in for lunch and tried Singapore Curry Noodles. Thin rice noodles with egg, bbq pork, and shrimp in a curry sauce. Very good. Added in a spoon of chili paste and it hit the spot. Very good food. Chicken egg rolls were delicious. Come check them out

    Mapo Tofu

I think people are sleeping on Pau's. I agree that some of their typical "Chinese-American" dishes (general tso's chicken, etc.) might not seem great, but I thought it was okay/good. Yes, the breading on the general tso's chicken was reminiscent of the sweet and sour chicken breading, but the sauce was still general tso's sauce... and guess what? The chicken was crispy and crunchy, even under the sauce. Also it was white meat! Additionally, here are some other dishes I thought were pretty good. The mapo tofu (hot and spicy- yum!), Taiwanese popcorn chicken- (I have missed those flavors!), and beef chow fun. Admittedly the beef chow fun was just okay, but I'd still get it again! I'm actually excited to try some other dishes like the salt pepper tiger prawn, pork belly noodles, and dry sautéed green beans with minced pork. In all, I think if you go with the more "authentic" cuisine on the menu, you'll fare better. I would say give them a try, the food is pretty good. PS- The lighting was not great in my pictures. The food tasted so much better than it looks in the pictures!

Always a good and quick take out option. The pork Chow Mein is out standing. Parking can be a challenge.

Good Chinese takeout. There are a few tables for eating in. The one down side: after COVID, they stopped serving hot tea.

Very disappointing. Fifty percent of the Orange chicken consisted of battered rice. Not the first time either.

WOW! This place is amazing! We first fell in love with Asian Kitchen two years ago when we were…read morelooking for some food to cater a family event. We knew we wanted Chinese food so we made a point of trying more than 15 places before choosing here. The food was so fresh and delicious. We ordered several trays of food for the event along with other Western catered food. At the end of the event, the food from Asian Kitchen was completely gone while we still had other catered food left over. It was clearly a hit. So much so that one of the attendees ended up ordering catering from here for one of their events and we are also ordering catering from them for another upcoming event. We have been so impressed with the quality that we have made special trips out to Asian Kitchen to eat and we live more than 45min away. It has been fantastic every time. Check out the Orange Chicken. It is one of the best we've ever had. That said, everything we've had has been amazing so I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. :)

It was a little strange with the ordering process so we walk in and the ladies like sit down where you want so we picked our booth that we wanted to sit in there's a Q code to our right and we were like do we use the q-code to order because nobody was coming to our table for a long time there was a menu on an easel stand as well. After about five minutes we decided to do the Q code and when I opened it and signed in, there was already an order placed so I ended up getting out of the booth walking up to the counter to ask about the ordering. She said she didn't clear the previous customer order and needed to delete the order that was on there so I can start one for ourselves. We got the ordering figured out they started bringing out the food. They brought the appetizers then the fried rice. We were hungry so we started eating the fried rice it was 1/2 gone when the entrees come out. They bring the items out as they are finished making them one or two at a time. They totally forgot the soup so I had to get up and ask if it was included in the Family combo. she's like oh yeah I forgot. It would have been nice if the food comes out at once or atleast 1-2 minutes after. The parking lot is small enough for about eight cars but the businesses next to it had plenty of parking so we park there and walked to the restaurant inside. Overall I give them a 4.5 because the ordering process felt a little impersonable and confusing. We didn't know what to do. I will note when we sat there waiting someone did come to take an order at a different table so I'm not sure if they just pick and choose who they want to personally ask. Idk
