WOW! This place is amazing! We first fell in love with Asian Kitchen two years ago when we were looking for some food to cater a family event. We knew we wanted Chinese food so we made a point of trying more than 15 places before choosing here. The food was so fresh and delicious. We ordered several trays of food for the event along with other Western catered food. At the end of the event, the food from Asian Kitchen was completely gone while we still had other catered food left over. It was clearly a hit. So much so that one of the attendees ended up ordering catering from here for one of their events and we are also ordering catering from them for another upcoming event. We have been so impressed with the quality that we have made special trips out to Asian Kitchen to eat and we live more than 45min away. It has been fantastic every time. Check out the Orange Chicken. It is one of the best we've ever had. That said, everything we've had has been amazing so I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. :) read more

Food was very good! Definitely all five stars for the food. Excellent health rating on the door from the city bonus! It was a little strange with the ordering process so we walk in and the ladies like sit down where you want so we picked our booth that we wanted to sit in there's a Q code to our right and we were like do we use the q-code to order because nobody was coming to our table for a long time there was a menu on an easel stand as well. After about five minutes we decided to do the Q code and when I opened it and signed in, there was already an order placed so I ended up getting out of the booth walking up to the counter to ask about the ordering. She said she didn't clear the previous customer order and needed to delete the order that was on there so I can start one for ourselves. We got the ordering figured out they started bringing out the food. They brought the appetizers then the fried rice. We were hungry so we started eating the fried rice it was 1/2 gone when the entrees come out. They bring the items out as they are finished making them one or two at a time. They totally forgot the soup so I had to get up and ask if it was included in the Family combo. she's like oh yeah I forgot. It would have been nice if the food comes out at once or atleast 1-2 minutes after. The parking lot is small enough for about eight cars but the businesses next to it had plenty of parking so we park there and walked to the restaurant inside. Overall I give them a 4.5 because the ordering process felt a little impersonable and confusing. We didn't know what to do. Hidden gem in Shoreline area! Very good Chinese homestyle cooking. My favorites are their underrated Orange Chicken (for real, they use orange skins to make this, this is not your typical orange chicken, very special!) and beef chow fun (you can really taste the char!). The owner is extremely nice! She is from Hainan and makes a very good & authentic Hainan Chicken Rice upon request! Bonus: Very friendly in terms of adjusting the ingredients of the food, for example you can request no MSG, using white meats only, etc etc. read more

Went to Asian Kitchen in north Seattle for a family dinner and had a mixed experience. Service was pretty slow, even though there were only a few smaller tables seated. It took a long time for the food to come out, and when our entrees finally arrived, we weren't given rice. We had to go ask for it so we didn't end up eating everything else first. It felt like they might be understaffed, which didn't help the overall experience. The appetizer platter was a bit disappointing. The honey walnut shrimp didn't really land for our table -- though I will say the crispy coating was interesting and I appreciated that they used actual walnuts. The entrees were better. The chow mein was my favorite -- great smoky wok flavor, well seasoned, and just really satisfying. The seafood clay pot was also solid, with shrimp, fish, and tofu. The beef broccoli was nicely cooked too, especially the broccoli with garlic. Ordered takeout from Asian Kitchen on Greenwood on a Sunday evening after discovering they had my favorite dish, egg foo young, on the menu. We ordered the house egg foo young, chicken chow mein, cashew chicken, and two orders of white rice. The food was delivered within the hour after ordering online. Everything was delicious and we had more than enough food to comfortably feed three people. The chicken was cooked perfectly in both dishes, and the flavors were spot on well-seasoned without being overly salty, which is something we often run into at other Chinese restaurants. I will definitely be ordering from Asian Kitchen again, and I'm excited to try more items from the menu next time! Will have to come dine-in at some point too. read more

A solid 4-star Chinese Restaurant with limited hours. Better than "meh" and short of "fabulous," but a definitely a repeat spot. Expensive. $146 for three people's entreès with appetizers (3) delivery and a tip. Definitely solid portions, but the downside is you have to add $3 per person for rice, which the meat dishes do not come with. I ordered for us Broccoli Beef (delicious), Almond Fried Chicken (better than most), and Cashew Chicken. Apps. included my go-to favorites: BBQ pork, Fried Pot Stickers (Gyoza) and double order egg rolls (vegan). Only problem with this order is they did not give the requested extra hot mustard for the pork or the extra gravy for the Almond Fried Chicken. Not a biggee. They close at 9:00 pm, so I recommend getting your DoorDash order in by 8:50. A lot of good dinner places close at 9:00 now, and after a while, fast food gets tiring. read more

Even when busy the quality and taste of each is consistently great. I also greatly appreciate the portion as each dish yields enough to feed all 5 of us. On the weekends I recommend placing your order online to give the kitchen time to prepare your order ahead of your arrival being that the parking lot offers limited parking. We ordered takeout. The lady on the phone was shouting at someone in mandarin as I tried to place my order. We had Kung pao chicken, beef chow fun and chicken with green beans. Rice is ordered separately. The total was about $54 which is a decent price for the amount of food. However, the flavors were all off as if the chef had a cold and couldn't season any of the food beyond the use of diluted soy sauce. The chicken also didn't taste like chicken, more like stale indistinguishable meat. All of the dishes were swimming in oil. Kung pao lacked any spice or garlic, beef chow fun didn't have the signature burnt ginger and beef was scarce, green beans in the chicken and green beans were soggy with oil. Overall the food was not delicious, worse than even Panda Express. These three dishes are so easy to make with very simple ingredients but somehow everything missed the mark. read more

Their food is above average. Why 3 stars? Don't bother dining in cause they have so many to-go orders that they neglect the people who are dining in. You have to wait forever for your food, and simple things like getting water/tea or an extra napkin... forget it. The owner at the front of the house is doing everything. She needs at least 2 more people to service everything. The best thing to do is order for pick up and take it to go. Even then, you have to wait an extra 10 minutes from the promised time. Very frustrating experience, but I go back because it's the best take-out Chinese food in my area. Just gotta play the game and figure out what works. read more

Clean interior and comfortable seating. Cons: Limited angled spots at a shared parking lot. Overkill on added onions and green peppers. Decent menu selection for apps/small plates, entrees, and combos. Here are the items savored from the two visits.
