After tons of work trying to figure out why the side of my home has been sitting in water and why with each year it just gets worse we have finally figured it out. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars later we found out that Ken and his workers duct taped the drain that empties in the front of our yard (why we don't know?). Once my workers dug the trench and discovered that and removed the tape a bunch of muddy water, rocks and debris poured out. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN! YOU WILL BE SORRY! This is a followup of my previous review. We spent about $26000 on a new patio. The quote was for about $20,000. They were three months late in completing. They use pressure tactics to get you to buy in. (They told us we could have it done in one month at 20K). Our patio is about 1500 square feet. They started soon after the bid, but then it sat for two months with no work. We pressured them to complete it since we had a graduation party coming up soon (the process started in early march). They completed the task one week before the party in mid June. They failed to finish several sections which resulted in a three star review. Upon completion, I changed to a five star review. When the tile work started sinking, I contacted the company multiple times (at least 5) to have someone come out and inspect/fix the patio. They failed to show on three scheduled appointments (I lost work each time). I told them that I would give a negative review if they failed to show on the third time. When they did not show I wrote a one star review. The owner threatened and swore at me that if I did not remove the review, they would not fix the problem. I was blackmailed into removing the review. The patio is failing again (it was never done correctly). I know this means that I will not get them to fix it. I need anyone who considers them to know they are very dishonest and manipulative. They are not perfect........but who is? We had some glitches along the way. In the end, the back yard of my brand new home is spectacular! I have all the elements I wanted and then some. Nikita helped me with the design. Rob worked with me making sure the project was completed to my satisfaction. They were a little slow to get to the last concern handled, but when Ken stepped in all was taken care of. Ken completely understands customer service. He will make sure you are satisfied. As Ken and I wrapped things up I was impressed with how he takes those glitches we had and makes them coaching moments for his staff. Pavers Made Possible completely transformed our yard from hard red clay dirt, to a two level patio and kitchen, with a nice grass accent, AND an area for my gardening. Moises helped take my idea and turned it into reality. There was a small issue with some of the leveling of the pavers, however the owner made a personal visit himself, and assured it would be corrected...which it was, and as you can see, turned out GREAT! They don't stand by their work! I had them do a retaining wall in Aug 2018 and they did it pretty quick but not even a year, one side had shifted about an inch. Also noticed while planting my plants they did not put drainage on 2 sides. And there was very little gravel on the bottom on the wall. I asked other experts and they said there was not a good amount of gravel. They said they guarantee there work, but I kept calling they said they would get back to me and nobody has reached out. Pavers Made IMPOSSIBLE! Impossible to work with! Impossible to believe a word that comes out of their mouths! Impossible to trust! We hired this company in July 2018 to do pavers and turf in out front yard and part of our driveway. As always, I made sure that the contractors had plenty of cold drinks and lunches each day that they were here. My kindness was returned with trash all over the yard at the end of each work day, disparaging remarks to me in spanish from the lead contractor, that thought I wouldn't understand (words that will not be repeated here) the worst turf job that one could imagine and to top it all off - the crew forgot to cap off our sprinklers before nailing down the turf so - the foul mouthed lead man took a chainsaw to the main pipes in our sprinkler system making them impossible to use in the future without great repair expenses! Can you imagine? A chainsaw! They damaged personal property on purpose because they were too lazy to take up the turf to cap off the sprinklers correctly and then the project manager, Rob Nivision has the gall to tell me "That's the way it's done"! That is most certainly NOT the way it's done and you are a fool if you think so. Now it's 3/9/2020 and I am still fighting with this company trying to get them to repair the damage to our property. I called Mr. Nivision the day that this happened and he came to our home to take photos of the damage, telling me that he would talk to his boss about doing the repairs and get back to me. I called him again more than a month later and his reply was that he forgot all about it but would get back to me by the end of the week after he talked with his boss. I called him again and again and left messages to which I received no reply. I tried again this last February and Surprise, he had apparently forgotten my phone number as he actually answered the phone. This time he says "Janine, that was over a year ago. I don't even have those photos anymore". So I email him the photos that I had taken and ask that Pavers Made Possible be responsible for the repairs. Needles to say, here I am still waiting for Mr. Nivision and Pavers Made Possible to do the right thing. Who's the biggest fool? Me I suppose, for trusting that this company would have integrity or concern for their customer's property instead of just getting paid. The almighty dollar is all that Pavers Made Possible cares about and their workmanship, their choice in sub contractors, and their disrespectful manner show this to be true. read more

And when I couldn't get out to put our initials the wet cement Rob even did that for me! This was the first time we've ever had such a large contracting job done and it couldn't have come out better. Beginning of the process: I hardly write reviews on Yelp. However, I just don't want others to go through our pain. We managed to get quotes from multiple vendors, but we eventually went with Ken as he was very cordial and friendly initially, and his pricing was competitive. However, after the contract was signed, things took a turn. We had originally signed the contract with Ken on 4/22/16, however, the project wasn't completed till 8/4/16. The crew that works for Ken are really nice, however, Ken is hardly around to direct the team. One crew member consistently pee on our property (caught by our cameras) as he doesn't provide his team with a porta potty. As a result, I've spent most of time overseeing the progress and design and addressing any queries from his team. The problem is he overbooks his projects, so you constantly have to call him (numerous calls as he has a hard time calling you back, so you need consistent follow-ups) for his and his team's availability to complete the project. Initially, he said the job would be completed in a month, but it was finally completed a little over 3 mos. after the contract was signed. Post Final Payment: When the rain season started in Oct '16, we called him numerous time to have him take a look a the drainage that his team put in. At the time, he and his drainage guy said that the system (flex drainage pipes) he put in and not a French Drain (as he said we didn't need one, but we were wondering why not at the time, but he convinced us that we didn't need it, so we weren't sure if he wanted to minimize his cost) will work for us. For the next several months of rain, the backyard would consistently flood until it dries or eventually slowly drains out. We sent him photos of the floods and called him on numerous occasions, and he said via text that he would send someone to look at it, but no one ever show up and no return calls since. I recommend to proceed with caution if you do decide to go with this company. Lesson learned. Don't always go with the guy with the lowest or most competitive price, you always get what you paid for. read more

The follow up is horrible, I waited weeks for them to come back and fix a broken step. Then when I had them to come back to set up a drip line which was included in my order they wanted to charge me. We had Pavers Made Possible replace our driveway and two smaller sidewalks last February. Firstly, the price they quoted was a great deal better than the others we had come to the house to give us an estimate. Our old driveway was badly cracked, and had a section that was slightly sunken at one end. The guys responded to phone calls! They began quickly, were very nice people with whom to work. They showed us many possibilities of design, and were helpful with their guidance. The job was completed on time, with only a few days lost to rain, and the crew was careful with the plants next to the project. When it was finished, I decided that I did not like the stone caps on the steps and wanted to change them. They offered to do that for no charge (even tho I had chosen them) A week or so later, we decided we needed it to be a little wider, for both cars, and they came out and did all of that, very reasonably. With this kind of driveway construction, changes and additions are easier to accomplish. You cannot see where the additions are made. Every time we walk out of the house, we appreciate how beautiful our driveway is...we feel very lucky to have found this company. read more

Their warranty is not worth the paper that it is written on. They botched the driveway and the retaining wall. After 3 months of dealing with Ken and not and getting anywhere, I filed a complaint with the Contractors Licensing Board. A case manager came out to review my complaint and subsequently send an independent INDUSTRY STANDARDS OFFICIAL. He validated all of my complaints. The Contractors Licensing Board has issued a CITATION on his license to pay a fine for all the violations on my project. BE WARE!!! Don't let this happen to you. Ken now has a new scheme. He has a new company that advertises under CALIFORNIA PAVERS RESTRATION. They don't tell you that they operate the same license asPavers Made Possible. I alnost hired them to try and fix my driveway oroblem until I ran a check on thei license and discovered the connection. We had a 2 car wide driveway that was cracked and uneven with an entry walkway to match. We called Ken and his crew and they all were as professional as it gets. They came in demolished the old concrete and widened our driveway making it able to fit 3 cars now. Complimented that by making the entryway match and everything looks amazing. We were so happy with his concrete crew that we had him landscape the front yard. His landscaping crew were just as professional. So happy with the curb appeal Ken was able to provide. Spent almost $100K front and back. Product looks amazing until it starts pouring buckets.... drains don't work properly, caused flooding and significant ground movement so sections of pavers have caved and are now trip hazards. We hired Pavers Made Possible to expand the patio they installed for us in 2015. This started with the initial consultation and it took a life of its own from there. The consultant Moses was amazing. He took an idea we had half-formed and breathed life into it. We now have beautiful walkways, a gorgeous landing, and an expanded patio. I love the fact that pavers allow us to expand when we can fit it in our budget. The service was great and they kept us updated all through the project. There was a mix up with the stone but they took ownership of the issue (even though it appeared to be a manufacturer mix-up) and made everything right. Brick bullies is what these guys are. It's their way or the highway. I had created my own design with drawings, measurements, locations of sprinklers, drains, other obstacles, the works. Did half the work for them. They still insisted that they couldn't quote my project without coming to my home. Fine, I gave them a day and time and said I could give them 60 minutes. Nope, they have to pick the day and time, and they MUST have 90 minutes. I've got a wife, two kids, a career, friends, hobbies, etc. Sorry, it's 2017 and I'm busy, and aren't I the one with the money? Why then are they making demands of me? Needless to say, they're service is poor at best so we moved on. Note: plenty of other paver and cement companies were able to give us quotes with just the drawings I created, photos, and a phone conversation. read more

I hired this company to install a new driveway (paving stones) and front yard retaining wall. They completed about 90% of the job in the first 3 days. I then made the mistake and paid them in full before the job was complete. A few days after I had paid them I was notified by the foreman, Ken, that they made a mistake on my front yard retaining wall by installing 5 layers high vs 4 layers as they quoted. Ken asked me to pay the difference of $1500 or they could take the wall down to the original quote of 4 layers. I informed him that I had not planned on the add'l $1500 in my budget and I understood if they needed to take down the wall. After that, he was completely unreliable, my job sat unfinished for over a week. My job still has not been competed and he has now threatened to sue me an file a lien against my home for non-payment of their mistake. My driveway was only partially sanded and my front retaining wall has a large gap between where the old wall was and new one stands. His crew has filled in a ton of debris (concrete, tree roots, fast food bags) behind the new wall and buried it. When they partially sanded my driveway. they left my garage door open which left about 1/2 of dust covering the whole inside of my garage. I had text pictures to Ken who said he would have a crew out to clean up and complete my job right away but he never followed through. Beware of this company (Ken), they pressure you to pay in full before the job is complete and then do not follow up to complete the job. read more

I had called several companies to come out and give me an estimate. When I asked for them to bring me their insurance information non of them showed up until I called Ken. He came to my house the same day and gave me an estimate and showed me all of his insurances and licenses that he carries. I hired him that day. I was so impressed with Ken and his crew. Ken got me on the schedule and a few days later my backyard was DONE. The crew was so nice and quiet I barely even new that they were there. My backyard went from something I could not even use to a beautiful entertaining area. I couldn't be more happier with the job they did. This company is dishonest!  They did not show up to do the work, nor return our calls.  Their receptionist did not follow up on things and their voicemail box was often "full".  When they didn't show up to do the work they didn't call or give a reason as to why.  We kept trying to reach out. They ignored us until we gave a bad rating online.  At the end of the day no one took responsibility.  They offered to just cancel our contract and give our $1000 deposit back. The person we spoke with said the owner threatened to fire him if he didn't get us to remove the bad rating. We waited for the check and it never arrived.  Finally we reached out and they said they will not give our deposit back because we were the ones who cancelled, and that whomever told us we'd get our money back has been fired.  This is the worst customer experience I've ever encountered -  stay away from these guys! read more

After a week I just decided that the new driveway was too narrow to get around the car with my walker. I called up Ken and explained to him that I was sorry, but needed to widen the driveway another 6 feet. He showed up the next day and he give me a great estimate, knowing that he'd have to tear up some of the work he'd done only a week earlier. Ken had his crew back right away, even though he had other projects in the works. His crew worked early in the mornings and on the weekend to get around his schedule to get it all done as soon as possible. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. These people are amazing. We have a small backyard with a huge pool. No where to sit. What were the prior owners thinking? Jorden worked wth my husband to finalize the design with brick pavers set in a herringbone pattern. Jorden coordinated with the pool company that was creating a reasonable plunge pool from our original monstrosity. That coordination saved us $$$ in concrete removal. Pavers Made Possible worked from about mid November through the wettest winter in years with no issues in quality. The surface is still as level as it was when they installed it. Angel, the crew lead and his team were professional and never left a mess even when they had to stop because of yet another downpour. Pricing was more than competitive. In fact, we had planned to have the work done over two years but the pricing was so good we did both phases at once. We have no regrets with that decision. The Pavers Made Possible crew made sure we had drainage and put in conduit for low voltage lighting, sound system and irrigation. We attended a home and garden show at Cal Expo in January and visited the Pavers Made Possible booth. Everyone at the booth was pleasant to talk to so we had them come over to give us an estimate on our 2550 sq. ft. driveway. We felt comfortable with Jordan's presentation and proposal, so we decided to sign a contract that night. We are delighted with the work Pavers Made Possible did on our huge driveway. We also had Pavers Made Possible pressure wash the sand out of our existing pavers in our backyard patio and replace it with tan poly sand as well as add a water based color enhancing sealer. Our Driveway and patio look fabulous!!! I'd like to add that Pavers Made Possible employees are held to high standards. The demolition crew, the installation crew, the power washing crew and the employee who sealed the patio pavers represented their company well. Everyone worked hard, everyone was friendly and competent. On several occasions I offered them water. Each time the crews thanked me and told me they had brought their own water. Not once did any of the employees asked if they could use my bathroom, (not that it would have been a problem) but it shows the expectations, and positive communication between the project manager and the employees. Our project manager was Rob. Rob came to inspect each of the project steps before the crew moved on to the next step to complition. Rob answered my questions in a timely manner and all things were addressed. Most importantly... Pavers Made Possible did a remarkable job overall and we are overjoyed!!! read more
