Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 11 am, had a party of 5. We were greeted immediately, and Pavlos was sitting at the counter saying Hello to everyone. The place had that diner charm, service was great!!! I ordered the Corned beef hash, with eggs over easy, homefries and toast.I was hoping for homemade hash, but it was disappointing to see it was standard canned hash. The hash was under seasoned in my opinion, I found the home fires to be under cooked and under seasoned as well. Everyone else at the table enjoyed there food. We went on a Sun a.m. about 10:30am, a friendly server greeted us right away and took our name for a table of 2. Despite 4+ parties waiting, we were sat in the back within 20 min or less. This was our first visit here, I was interested in Pavlos Famous Omelette because to be frank, I never order omelettes in a restaurant because it's always a thin scrambled egg with filling, kinda like an egg taco, lol, so not an omelette, but since Pavlo put his name on it...I took a chance. WOW! Amazing omelett, ordered pavlos famous omelett with peppers & onions. Perfect omelette! All ingredients were enveloped in a soft, fluffy, savory omelette. Kudos Pavlo for preparing a true delicious omelette not trying to negate this review but hash browns...yuck, mushy, no flavor, french toast, tasted ok I guess...but no crispiness, and syrup is very subpar. Awful. I work down the street so I thought this would be a good place to eat a few times a week. Let me start by saying the food is bland and flavorless at best. They charge you for extra sauce on their dry sandwiches which really ticks me off, and are too cheep to put in a credit card machine so its cash only. You are a diner and do not accept credit cards??? What is this the 1980's?? OK let's get to the little prized gem they have behind the counter shall we? I'm not usually one to name call, but this ill mannered hillbilly is a pos. She threw my change so hard it fell on the floor twice! The second time right in front of the owner and he said nothing. I found this gem via Yelp (thank you!!). My coworker and I were in Auburn for work and wanted to find a local bfast place instead of hotel food. Seriously old school farmers breakfast. Delicious. It's easy to drive past it so keep an eye out. Locals were there so we looked a little out of place with our business suits and heels, but were greeted warmly. It's cash only so keep that in mind. Good food for a great price! I had two scrambled eggs and two blueberry pancakes with a side of turkey bacon. I would have liked more blueberries but it was still a nice moist pancake. Nothing tasted greasy and the turkey bacon was meaty and tasty. read more

I give 5 stars with reservation. Not about the quality of Pavlos' (it is deserving), but about the comparison of a 5 star review for a diner to a 5 star review of a fine dining restaurant. So, as long as you understand the difference, then we can proceed. This is definitely 5 stars in the diner category! The best feature was the service--no wait--it was the menu selections. Okay, let me talk about the service first. Not only was the staff helpful and friendly, but they seemed really happy. Yeah...I know...that is something you often don't see in a diner! As for the menu, I was so excited to see options like a philly steak breakfast wrap or a greek omelet, and you can get your omelet made with egg whites if you wanted to. Pavlos was awesome. We were in from out of town, and thankfully came upon this place for brunch. We were warmly welcomed, and chose a table (ample seating). The prices were more than reasonable and our service was friendly as well as attentive. But what really needs gushing on is the food! All of our meals were so good. Omelette fluffy, bacon crispy, toast toasty, eggs cooked to order, french toast-perfection. Not only were we all super pleased by all I've already referenced- but we were taken by the charismatic owner/cook. He checked in with us, was authentic and clearly took pride in his business. It may not be the best idea to take breakfast advice from a handful of locals on their 6th pint at a local watering hole but when the unanimous choice is Pavlos', I had to take notice. It's easy to miss if your not paying attention. It looks like with a house with a modest sign on the outside. They tell you at least 5 times through signs that they do not take credit cards so bring a wad of cash (although it likely won't need to be a big one). It's a small joint with less than 10 tables and a few seats at the counter. The staff are courteous and quick. The cook was grumpy (especially if the steaming food was not picked up right away) but not in a bad way. In my personal experience, a short order mat turns even the nicest person into a bit of a tyrant. I love regional food and the fretta is no exception. It is a local twist (or just another name) for a frittata. The medium size was plenty and it was stuffed with mushrooms, peppers, onions, broccoli, home fries and pepperoni. It was huge and quite enjoyable. The rest of the fam had eggs and link sausage and there were no complaints. The portions of home fries were huge and they were quite delicious. The bill for four was around $30...very respectable. As I was leaving I felt myself humming ..."You say frittata, I say fretta." read more

Probably the best omelette I have ever eaten. Their sausage patties were amazing and the place was as clean as could be. I ordered several meals to go and everything was ready in 15 minutes. Great breakfast! I enjoyed the bacon & eggs greatly - the bacon was thick and flavorful and they use eggs from chickens that don't get hormones & antibiotics. It's been awhile since I've been inspired to write a review, although laziness may also be a factor. Either way I loved this place... I loved it because it probably hasn't changed since 1950 and for me that is a good thing! When I walked in I felt like I was home and I knew I would get a great meal and excellent service. I had breakfast here and everything was done correctly; Fresh eggs over easy, fresh sausage, and home fries. I also liked they buttered my toast, it's the little things I appreciate. In closing if you don't have access to Dr. Brown's tricked out Delorean, but want to experience the 1950's just stop in and enjoy a meal. If you don't know who Dr. Brown is or the capabilities of his Delorean, it's never to late to learn something new.... read more

Seriously an amazing find!! Stopped in for a late breakfast and was blown away. The omelets we had were incredible, fluffy, cheesy, full of flavor and ingredients. The homefries were equally as tasty and the toast was out of this world. Not only that but the service was great and the owner came to our table twice to make sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves! Best omelette I have had in a long time. Had the Greek and it had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly. Everyone was friendly. Only had to wait 5 minutes but I would wait an hour for the food. I had gone here many times over the years and each time I had had a bad experience. Waitresses are rude and snappy. The food is fine but the prices are a little high for what they are worth. The owners wife is alwayPavlo is very nice man though and I know he means well but get these nasty people out of the dinner and I would enjoy my meal much more. First time I've been here but I love it. The staff is friendly the food hot and delicious. I had a cheeseburger, fries and coffee. Hamburger was perfectly cooked for me ( I asked for Med-rare) the lettuce, tomatoes and onions very fresh. Over all great texture and flavor. I asked for my fries crispy they came Crispy not over cooked. Nice golden brown. Coffee was a solid cup :) with no complaints. The owner is here taking with guest and staff. Great experience.
