They have continuously taken great care of my pup Toto. I have gone to them for over 3 years now…read more I KNOW he is a pain in the a** sometimes but the team has taken great care of him regardless. The staff does occasionally get restless with his barking, but that's mainly because he hates being alone. I work from home, so he's almost never alone. One thing I will suggest to any dog owner that has attachment issues and/barking issues, please consider giving them CBD/hemp oil to ease the stress on these groomers. I've been suggested trazodone, which I consider a pretty aggressive step, but it does get to a point where as an owner you need to be considerate of the people taking care of your dog. I am well aware my dog is not easy to take care of, but I hope this review reflects an honest appreciation for their effort and kindness to Toto. Toto is a Greenland Husky / Shepherd mix, and I get the complete package of Dog Grooming which includes deshed, bath, extra brushing, nail trim, and whatever else is listed on their page. For owners with dogs that shed, this is the place to take care of that. Cheers.

They also have tubs available if you prefer to bathe your own dog, which is a great option. Maritza is an excellent groomer and always provides wonderful care for my pug. She listens to any specific needs for your pet and accommodates them with patience and professionalism. My pug looked and felt so much better afterward. She is professional, patient, and does beautiful work. Even with the difficult parking, City Dog is absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommended!

After seeing on social media advertising of this groomer, I felt the urge to secure an appointment instead of going to my previous Pom's groomer. And I am very very very happy with the end results! Location is downtown, there is a small parking lot but usually full - has with narrow spots and hard to get into since surround streets are one-way busy streets. I recommend circling and parking on 10th Ave for less of hassle. Fabiola is fabulous! She was so sweet, caring, attentive, and does an amazing job cutting fur. She doesn't rush each grooming and takes her time for a very quality cut. She also has a Pomeranian which made my experience feeling better because she knew exactly how to cut their fur. We even had conversations about Pomeranians and everything about our dog care life. My Pomeranian looks so beautiful and smelt wonderful when I picked her up. I asked for a trim, clean up the buttox area, and do cut the paws (like cat paws). She also knows how Pom fur is suppose to look like and she rounded out all the areas needed AND brought in the fur around the waist to give my Pomeranian a cinched look. For a bath, some treats, nails trim, and fur.cut for $115 - please tip on top, she does a great job. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

About three months ago, Doozydog!Club took care of our baby, AmyJames, very well…read more Before this last time that they took care of our sweet baby, Linna was helpful in making sure that he was going to be well taken care, communicated with me well, etc., to make sure that the check in process would be smooth. She was thoughtful in this respect, & was attentive to our dog. Kristan was very kind to our lovely pet, was personable & attentive when we spoke on the phone, & was very accommodating with our baby as to having him at their dog day care center. On one night, our dog looked that he was not feeling well, & Kristan made a wise decision to have her staff member get our pet to a nearby pet hospital to get seen, after a few hours, baby was okay, & same staff member returned our sweet one to the dog club. Our sweet baby had trouble walking & was slipping on their smooth floor, & Kristan made sure to get some dog booties to fit his four legs to help to make him comfortable & to make him feel at ease with his walking, & this made a big difference on him. Several people took part in taking care of AmyJames, & I did not get their names. Thank you all at Doozydog!Club.

I recently brought my dog here, first for the initial meet and greet then for daycare. It was also great to get additional information and speak with the manager. I could really tell she cares about the dogs that come here and she made us feel at home. Passing by I had always seen the two play areas facing the sidewalk but had no idea they had a few more in the back. I like how the dogs can be in the front and people watch out the large windows but also decompress in the back. The kennel area for overnights was also well-kept and organized. Also pleasantly surprised at each dog's locker and the staff's thorough physical checks of each dog and logging of their daily activities. I would say the only thing I had an issue with was logging into the webcam on my phone but seems to work on a computer. Also you can tell they use bleach from the smell but that is a good sign that they keep things sanitary. Other than that my dog seemed to enjoy his time there and we bought one of the packages so we will be back.

We've tried other groomers closer to home, but no one makes him look as dapper as Julia. He gets compliments on his cut everywhere we go! Julia also knows so much about dog health and care--she's taught us things we never knew as first-time dog owners. Most of all, she truly cares about our pup, and he absolutely loves seeing her. Julia is simply the best--period.

She has been rejected by other groomers and even mobile groomers, but Pet Beloved knew how to handle her reactivity, and did so with care and patience. Upon entering and signing in, they took her on a walk to let her get comfortable. They gradually built trust and also gave me a rundown of how short I would like her fur to be, as well as being transparent on how the matting for her poodle fur might cause the cut to be even shorter. I appreciated the headsup! Booking was easy and so was pickup. While it took longer than expected, they communicated with me and kept me updated, which is understandable knowing Onion's demeanor. And finally... we got to go! Prepare your dogs vaccination records. :) Bring them before or on the grooming day. When you arrive, you will fill out a simple questionaire with basic info. They'll ask the usual.. what style groom you have in mind! I like my dog to have the typical teddy bear cut. :) So cute! Keep the eyelashes etc. It took a few hours (as expected) and I was sooooo happy with Gigi's groom by Logan! Logan is so detail-oriented and sooo nice! When I came to pick Gigi up, he kindly came out to bring Gigi out! I also had Winston, (Gigi's bestie) with me since Winston was with us overnight for a pupsleepover! At the salon, they sell treats, dog clothing, dog bed, dog necklaces and shoes, and our fave, the dog cologne by Hydra USA! Logan used Forever Fresh on Gigi and it smelled amazing! I returned a week after to purchase it. There are many other amazing colognes too to choose from. Natashya and Randy assisted me at the front desk and they were so kind and welcoming! We will be back in the future and will also support at the new location! P.S. Parking - street parking with meters. There is a small lot on the left of the salon but I am unsure if those belong to the other businesses or if anyone can park. It's pretty easy though to find parking.

You wouldn't serve old/stale food to humans, so why would you do that for pups? Should've gone with my gut and not bought anything from here.

We were walking back to our car after a delicious breakfast at The Waterfront Bar and Grill when we happened by Doggie Style so we popped in. We're suckers when it comes to our two dogs Ozzy and T.J. They are two very spoiled girls! A few steps into the store was a big display of homemade (organic, I think) dog cookies. They were made with all natural ingredients such as sweet potato. We picked up two each for the doggos. Two Halloween themed and two ice cream themed, a cone and a bar. When we arrived home the dogs sniffed out the treats right away. Ozzy is a smaller dog with small teeth so we like to break her treats into smaller pieces. Holy crap! The Haloween dog bone cookies were hard as rocks! I had to chop them with a knife and it took some effort! T.J. is a big dog so she had no problem devouring hers. I can't speak to the grooming, but the variety of treats, toys and accessories for pets was impressive. A little on the pricey side, but that is to be expected in this type of bougie pet stor.

Until now, we hadn't had any major issues. Today, we had an appointment specifically for the rabies and parvo vaccines. After we got home, our dog vomited five times in a row. We called the clinic, and they had us come back in, where he was given two more injections to address the side effects. While on the way back, I reviewed the invoice and noticed that four vaccines had been administered, not just the two we had scheduled. When I asked why this wasn't communicated, the response was, "Next time, clarify which vaccines you want when you check in." I had already done that. The appointment was booked for two specific vaccines, and I clearly mentioned both at check-in. I was then told they automatically give all due vaccines unless otherwise instructed. If that's their policy, it was never clearly explained to me and I plan to review our past vaccination records to verify the vaccines were actually due. To top it off, we were charged $82 for the extra shots to counter the side effects caused by their lack of communication, bringing the total cost of today's visit to over $300. This visit left us feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. Lack of transparency, poor communication, and a refusal to take ownership of mistakes cost them our trust and our continued business.

The staff are wonderful with our girls, patient, gentle, and clearly comfortable with big, energetic dogs. What stands out most is how collaborative the doctor is. Instead of just handing us a treatment plan, she walked through the options with us and made decisions together, which makes a huge difference when it comes to our pets' care. On top of that, pricing has been very reasonable , no surprise costs, no upselling. If you're looking for a vet clinic that treats your dogs like family and treats you like a partner in their care, I highly recommend this one.

I left paying exactly what I expected, which I really value. Overall, it was a wonderful first experience and I'm grateful to have found this clinic for my puppy's care!

My dog, Abbie has stayed at the golden paw twice now. The first time my fiance and I left Abbie at the golden paw it seemed to be extremely clean and with friendly staff. We thought Abbie would have a blast with the other dogs. We were told Abbie could not stay inside the play room because she is a pitbull and their insurance does not cover pitbulls in the play room. That is definitely understandable, since adopting Abbie there have been many obstacles because of her breed. We were gone for a week and we even called in and they told us that Abbie was great & everyone loved her. That was awesome and we appreciated the communication. After we came back we received a letter or an offer to return service it was a 20 dollar coupon for luxury stay. What really was a little upsetting was they asked me twice how to spell my name and they still spelled it wrong, so on the letter it said candis not candace even after we , well I believed we fixed it at our last stay. We also had a lot of miscommunication about the pricing. Their website does not give clear pricing. It just says pricing as low as 26.95 which means that's for small dogs, so you have to pay more if you have a bigger dog. You also have to pay more if you want your dog exercised. They charge you about 15 dollars for a one 15 minute session and 18.95 for two 15 minute sessions. It's obvious to go for the two sessions. The dogs play inside, which kinda stinks especially when you have a dog that needs to run a lot. The reason I am writing this is because of the urine smell. I have taken my dog to another facility and it smelled pleasant. I told the front desk girls when I dropped off Abbie about the scent outside, it was strong! I didn't want to seem annoying, but I wanted them to know for other customers who might come for the first time. It might just be because they have fake grass and it might absorb the scent. When we came back to pick up Abbie, My fiance and I went and he mentioned how horrible the smell was. So then I knew it wasn't just me. We picked her up around 12 and noticed they have not fed her. We left instructions, (which we believe is awesome they let us,) that she eats in the morning before 10. So we don't know why she didn't eat by 12. Which concerns me about when we left her while we were gone for a week. Overall I think the golden paw is ok, especially if you don't have pitbull. We haven't decided if we will take her again, but the front desk girls are helpful and seem to care. They definitely will help you settle anything you are concerned about. I seemed a little annoyed last time and I think they sensed that, and tried to accommodate me, which was nice. read more

I came and toured this place right before the holidays and just dropped my dog off for the weekend a few weeks ago and I have to say I loved it. I only write reviews if I'm super impressed with a place and this place was very impressive. They have all kinds of adorable toys and collars at decent prices and I loved the dog pictures on the walls. I was greeted right away but just snooped around for a bit. I'm one of those crazy dog owners where if I don't get a good vibe at first you can forget it. My dog is my child and I want the best care for him as possible. I also write down everyone name that I encounter so if I ever do right a review its correct. After I was done snooping the young man at the desk who's name was Jakob, was on the phone but called on a radio for someone to come up for a tour. A lovely young lady named Amber gave me a wonderful tour and was able to answer every single one of my annoying questions all with a smile. All Dogs and humans seemed very happy and the daycare room was just awesome. Most were running around like crazy and some were just napping away. The bordatella every 6 months is kind of a pain but well worth it because he loves going there. Everything was clean and people where cleaning some of the rooms during my tour which is always a good sign. I made a date to come and have him do an over night and daycare but had to cancel because he hurt his leg at the dog park the day after. I canceled my reservation which was super easy and they were very sweet over the phone about it. Now after 3 months he is doing much better and now can romp around all he wants. I made my new reservation with Tiffany who is awesome and very caring and sweet which made me feel good about leaving him for the weekend. He came back tired and did not want to leave his friends in the daycare room at all. The only thing I did not like is that it is all indoors and he came back a little stinky which is ok considering he is a dog and they do play with their mouths and some slober more than others. They do have a grooming service which I did not do only because he doesn't have much hair and I take him to the beach weekly. My checkout was a little strange, the man Ben didn't seem to know what he was doing and more into his cell phone than helping me out. The young lady who brought my dog out helped me out to my car and informed me he did great for his first time and to bring him back because he was so well behaved and was one of her favorites. That also made me love this place even more! Once I get settled into my new house, Buddy will be attending daycare weekly. read more

One bad experience can ruin the it all. I've been bringing my dog (small 2.5 yo white boxer) to Golden Paws for the past ~2 years. I've both boarded her overnight and have dropped her off for day-play. I get a call from Jessica who tells me my dog instigated a fight and had to be removed from the group. And as the handler went to break it up my dog "went after" the handler. I'm not trying to be an over protective naive parent, but there is NO WAY my dog "went after" another human being. But I'm not the dog expert compared to their very young "handlers" who I'm told go through extensive training before being allowed with the dogs. As I'm asking details about the situation she tells me that just the day before my dog also wasn't behaving well and perhaps she "had a chip on her shoulder". Again, wasn't aware dogs held grudges from the day before...but I'm not the expert. And actually this was news to me because I actually take the time to converse with everyone when I pick her up and drop her off. I wish someone would have told me in real time. Jessica then tells me that I won't be able to use the facility for 30 days while they evaluate us to see if my dog is a "good fit" for their establishment. I'm no doggy shrink but when I asked the trainer if removing a dog from a pack for 30 days actually does any good for the dog and the situation, she didn't have much to say other than her expected scripting which I could have lip synced for her. I tried to tell them their 30 day policy only punished the me (owner and more importantly their CUSTOMER) and did nothing to coach or train the dog to act differently in the same situations. It's completely counter-productive. So instead of trying to convince everyone that 1 altercation in more than 2 years shouldn't constitute a 30 day suspension I decided to just get a full refund and move on from Golden Paws. I certainly understand why they must be safe and control these situations but perhaps downsizing from having 40-60 dogs in one room or having enough "handlers" who actually looks out for situations and manages them before they become altercations would be a better business practice and would certainly help retain customers. I was cruising through yelp today, looking for a new pampering facility; as I just moved to Las Vegas from San Diego with my humans and left my previous grooming establishment behind. Then I remembered I had not left reviews for Golden Paw. Ben; is my pal there and he takes really good care of all of us that stay there. We get our own rooms, we have play time and my human can even check on me while I play when she is working. Well, she works from home now and I get to spend all day with her but this place had to be the next best thing. The standard rules apply here when it comes to staying; you have to be up to date on your shots, you have to be well socialized and an all around good pup. I have many friends here that I love to play with and I would recommend this place to any of my furry friends. Just a suggestion regarding your pets, where to board them, or have them groomed etc; when looking into a place- do your research and due diligence. If you wont leave your tiny dawg somewhere you dont want it to be subject to bigger dogs at play time; then ask to see the play room, ask to spend time there or to be able to look in while your pup plays. If you are boarding based on the webcam capabilities, ask to see the webcams, to watch the room where your pet will be etc. Alot of the review process has to do with even your own actions when it comes to engaging a business. I have found that some people seem to be taking out "not getting their way" and other really negative Karma by giving bad reviews. I personally use yelp a lot to make the decisions on what to do, where to go, what to eat and such so I know how important good reviews mean to the people who run these businesses. I do not believe it is in good taste to unfairly rate a business here whatever the malicious point in it may seem to be. read more

The customer service I received was genuine and exemplary throughout my entire visit. Each team member I interacted with was not only pleasant but also demonstrated a clear commitment to both the dogs and their owners. As a first-time boarding experience, I was particularly apprehensive as my dog can be challenging in new environments. However, the staff made every effort to address all my inquiries thoroughly, ensuring I felt comfortable before leaving my dog in their care. My dog, Aphrodite, received the standard gold package with individual care. I provided his favorite ball, which allowed him to enjoy his time with the team. Additionally, they handled his bath professionally, putting my concerns about his reactivity at ease. I have always had a really hard time leaving my dog with someone I don't know, but as fate would have it I needed to attend a seminar for work. While taking my dog to the dog park in Ocean Beach I over heard some people raving about this so called dog kennel in Bay Park. As I mumbled under my breath I would never leave my dog at some compound.... So I didnt have a choice, no one could help me with Oliver, I broke down at the last minute and gave the Golden Paw a call 2 days before I had to leave. Luckily Oliver had all his shots and they had availibility. I had the red eye on Thursday and I worked all day had to pack and the best part is I got to spend time with Oliver and drop him off right before my red eye to New York. The ladies were so great and very professional. I was blown away, Oliver stayed in a suite with a web-cam and TV. I have been bringing my dog here for about 3 years and I couldn't be happier. He loves going to play just for the day and the few times I have left him there for the weekend we have been able to relax and know that he is well taken care of. My dog is an English Bulldog and can be very stuborn at times but the staff has alway treated him with patience and if he stirs up any trouble they notify me immediatley (he is overly hyper for a bulldog). The staff is great and they always greet my dog with a smile. The most telling story is that when I ask Deuce if he wants to go play with his friends (meaning go to the Golden Paw) he immediately runs to the car. Both my dogs go to the Golden Paw regularly whether it's for grooming, doggie day play or to have them boarded while we are out of town. I have never had a bad experience with appearance, well-being, or with my dog's temperament when picking them up. I feel more than comfortable allowing them to be in a controlled environment with someone to care for them (and not to mention I can see them on the live webcam from my phone at work), instead of leaving them at home for 10 hours a day while I am at work. If you are going away for the weekend, or going out of town for a business trip you should use The Golden Paw. If you have a dog with lots of energy and you are gone most of the day you should give them a treat to day play. read more

Nothing means more to me than my puppy so I have to grade this place hard. I have had conflicting prices when contacting this place about their boarding policies. Also, apparently any dog that stays here three days needs to have a mandatory bath ($20). Now 20 bucks isnt a lot but why is it mandatory? I ask the girl, and she said "The owner wants each dog going home smelling clean". Then why doesnt he pay for it? And how did my dog get so filthy over the last three days in an indoor boarding facility? Bizarre. Fine if you want to charge everyone for a bath, but perhaps a smaller number so we dont automatically know we're being ripped-off? I ultimately decided to board my dog elsewhere (where the room pricing was consistent). read more

The Golden Paw has been a blessing in disguise for our Oliver, the staff is phenomenal, the flexibility with drop off times have made it so much easier for us to not have to make 2 trips, we are able to drop him off and go straight to the airport. We are more than impressed with the facilities, not to mention with the webcams in his luxury suite as well as in the toy den areas we have an extra reassurance that our "baby" is taken care of. We have always taken advantage of all the services that the Golden Paw has to offer weather it is day pay, grooming, or boarding we have been pleased. Oliver enjoys each and every one of his stays and we know you will too! read more

Hey, this is my first experience with Golden Paw, and I couldn't ask for more :) My dog is a tough guy (not tough enough to stay in the 2.5x2.5x2.5 pen, we opted up to the next size), he doesn't always get along with every dog he meets. I worried he'd not get to do group play. The behaviorists evaluated him and could tell he was no angel. They didn't lie to me or sugar coat his behavior. But they did work him in to group play as often as possible, removing him only if there was an issue. Fair treatment, extremely clean environment, awesome supervised play time, very friendly and observant staff, we'll be back! read more

Jordyn has been the best dog trainer we could have asked for! We feel so lucky that Hugo was paired with her when he started pup training at 6 months. He learned so quickly under her guidance and he could not wait to see Jordyn every time we pulled up! She built such a strong training bond with our boy and she loves him so much. It really means a lot to have someone care about Hugo as much as we do. And he's such a well trained boy now!! We highly recommend Jordyn as a dog trainer!! read more

What a great place to take your dog! I needed to board our Golden for a couple of days - she is very high energy, so I had them put her in the big room with the other dogs everyday for like 6 hours, and I could check in on her on the webcam which we did about 2 or 3 times a day. I also got her groomed while she was there - very convenient, and Paula did a very nice job - exactly what I asked her to do. Molly came home tired and happy, and I would defintely board her there again. read more

My son has 1 year old German Shepard who was very fearful of others. It was incredibly difficult to walk her due to her fears and insecurities. Being with Heather Simpson for five weeks was the best thing we could have done for Ruby. Today we picked her up and she is a totally different dog thanks to Heather. Paw common Staff are incredibly nice people and took very good care of Ruby. Thank you Heather for everything you did for Ruby. See you soon! read more

I bring my dog here weekly for daycare and she LOVES it. Staff really cares about the wellbeing of my pup as if she was their own. I also love knowing that some days during my work week my dog is able to socialize and enjoy her day rather than being cooped up inside my apartment. PLUS she is always sleepy after, perfect for when I have evening plans. Wouldn't bring my pup anywhere else! They also have an amazing puppy 101 program. read more

Over the summer I took my dogs to be boarded at The Golden Paw. I can't even begin to tell you how kind and caring the staff was with my animals. The level of professionalism that I received was exceptional. I was completely satisfied with how my animals were cared for at this establishment. When I picked up my animals they almost acted as if they did not want to leave. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. read more

So we just got a new lab puppy. He is so full of energy! Golden Paw to the rescue :) He's been going for dayplay with Mandy and learning how to play well with others. I love how exhausted he is at the end of the day. The staff is so kind, even when Al is a stinker, they are patient with him and give me suggestions on ways to help. I love their skill for grooming! I just took 4 x toy poodles there and they look exactly how I wanted. I know poodles are hard to groom due to lots of curly hair. I feel bad about bring all 4 dogs in a day, so next time I will make sure to split to 2 and 2 not to tire the groomer. Price is really reasonable, too. read more

I just picked my puppy from a week long stay at the kennel and I walked in to see her playing in the big playroom with the other dogs. That makes me so happy. Friendly staff and a wonderful sleeping nook for my girl. It is nice to be able to check on her throughout the day. I will defiantly be using them again. read more

My dog Zoey had a wonderful time. It was her first boarding experience as well as mine. The staff did a wonderful job answering all of my questions. The live camera was an amazing addition. I loved being able to check in on her and watch her play with her new friends! I highly recommend this establishment. read more

We especially appreciated that the first day focused on fun and bonding with Ricky, the trainer, to help build trust before the official training began. Even though the program was structured, our dogs were treated with great care. One of our dogs has severe hip dysplasia, and the trainers were very mindful of her limitations and adjusted accordingly. The results have been amazing -- our dogs no longer pull, and walks are so much more enjoyable. The trainer also took time to thoroughly explain the techniques to us. We have already used two hours of the four follow-up hour sessions included with the program, with Ricky, in our home, and it was incredibly helpful. We look forward to the remaining sessions. I don't know if its an injury or trauma, but my mellow old man gets really upset when you try to trim them down, and requires either a vet visit or 2 of my friends and a beach towel to come over and help me. I contacted One Stop to try and set something up for them to come to my home to trim his claws, because I felt so guilty trying to trim them myself. It was like I was traumatizing him! I knew it was time to call in professionals. These lovely people came over and after meeting my cat, scooped him up and trimmed his nails like the pros they are. They stayed calm, so he stayed (relatively) calm. After we were done he moved away but he didn't even hide which is a testament to One Stop. I will be using them every time my guy needs his claws trimmed from now on, and I will suggest them to friends.
