I used to take my dogs to Petsmart grooming but once i discovered PawSpa i have never went back. The staff is always friendly and its clean. I know my dogs are taken care of here and the service is waaayy faster than where i used to go and its around the corner from my house so no need to fuss about getting the dogs in the car plus the dogs get a nice little walk before and after. Haircuts are appointment only but the wait is never long. Usually i can get an appointment later in the week or by the following week. Highly recommend this place if youre looking for a family friendly groomer for your furry fam. read more

I've been here 3 times, all visits months apart. I came here yesterday with my girl in need of a nail trim. Overall, 4 stars with mixed feelings. I'll explain. First a warning: if you have a dog with long nails in need of a trim, don't bother bringing your pooch inside. Their floors are slick laminate. Your dog could get injured with their hips slipping. This happened to my dog yesterday. Partly my fault. I had a feeling it was gonna happen, hesitated stepping inside, but proceeded. Thank goodness my girl is just fine. My recommendation, request the groomer step outside to clip your dogs nails. Of course I made the request after the fact, but all I can do now is pass on this knowledge to other dog owners.... A couple of benefits to this store. The groomer/ owner of the store is sweet, and has a good connection with dogs from what I can see. The price of a nail trim, only $5. The obvious short coming of this place is their floors. Hello!! Easy fix, put a carpet runner down. Or a rubber anti-slip mat. I'll be back for sure, as it's also a convenient location. But I'll be better prepared to have a more pleasant experience for my dog next time. read more

Best and most affordable groomer servicing Elk Grove! I love their staff and everyone is so friendly and its obvious they love our pets. My two german shepard boys always come home smelling fabulous and so clean! Nails trimmed, fur de-shedded and most of all they are happy and not stressed like going to the vet. I happened across this establishment when I was in the complex and went in and first thoughts, was wow really clean and happy associates. There is a wall lined with groomed happy customers. When it came time for my very hairy Husky to be groomed I looked for reviews and this place popped up again. I scheduled an appointment and took him in. So Scout and I were met quickly at the door and asked about his coat history and the options available. They weren't "pushy" at all to sell anything I didn't want done which is great. My boy is about 100 lbs and groomers tend to be stand-offish at other places. Not here and to add the male at the counter (forgive me I am terrible with names) said he has a Husky also which was pictured on the picture wall. I picked up Scout an hour later and he looked terrific. Nice and white with a freshly groomed coat. He was excited and he didn't seem irritated to be there. He wasn't a fan of their wood floors which is understandable as he has hairy Husky feet. So he slips a bit easier. Overall the price was great. Good price for a shedding treatment and bath and complete brushing. read more

I've lived here my whole life and went to so many other groomers but never loved the way tato came out. But everyone here was so nice, so welcoming, and SO COMMUNICATIVE. They got back to me through texts, phone calls..so they're definitely not hard to reach. The only con I would say is that I couldn't find their prices anywhere on yelp or on their website but I'm sure if you just ask for a quote they'd give it to you cause that's what I ended up doing. I am so happy my daughter found this place. She had taken her 13-year-old Chihuahua/dachshund to go get a full spa service. He had all the fixings to make a special day complete. I was very pressed with how clean he was, how groomed he was, he smelt so good/soft and how happy he was when he came back from spending the day there. I made an appointment for two of my large dogs to spend the day there and for them to get a full spa treatment. I must say I was completely impressed and surprised on how well they made my Rottweiler luck. They painted her nails her, her Cost was extremely soft and her undercoat was brushed out completely, they did an extremely good job on make her nails short for me. A big plus was she was very happy when I dropped her off and very happy when I picked her up. My boxer was so soft and smells so good as well. Called today to see if we could book ahead to get both of our dogs groomed, at first we were very happy that they were able to get us in same day. When I dropped my dogs off I told the man up front referring to my one of my dogs who was just very shaggy that I would like his hair to look clean, not shaved just a trim stressing that I didn't want him to look so shaggy anymore, he said that we could do a #4 which was about half an inch, I agreed and said do the same to my other dog who HAD these beautiful curls in her hair since I just wanted a trim for both dogs. My mother texted me photos of them while I was away and I was not happy.. first they had made her pay BEFOREHAND which she mistakenly left gratuity since we assumed that the job would have been done well... I called back after seeing what my dogs had looked like since I didn't pick them up and they said that I told them that that's "exactly" what I told them to do, that I asked them to shave one dog down and then requested to do the same to the other. When I told him I said not to shave while I was there he said he never heard that? Then apologized, you can't put the hair back on my dogs i understand but he just kept blaming the "miscommunication" when I was very clear when I said I just wanted the dogs TRIMMED and he said the #4 Is the razor blade used that LEAVES half and inch ON. He then has me speak with the owner who says she did what he wrote down and I was very kind at first since it wasn't her fault her colleague messed up it was his, then she kept apologizing and saying she would put in a note which wasn't accommodating at all since we will NEVER be back, she said she values out business and that she couldn't do anything money wise since she spend "a lot of hard working time" on both my dogs -- which is complete BS, if you're going to shave my dogs at least shave them good enough, the shaving is COMPLETELY HALF-ASSED but clearly not enough. She then quit speaking and her and her colleague were giggling and he went back on the phone said there was nothing they could do? As the owners your small business I expect more and there absolutely is something you could do besides a silly little note, the man I was speaking with rudely cut me off saying they had to get back to work??? For future customers, do not pay or leave any gratuity untold AFTER you see your dogs. I normally don't leave yelp reviews and I am normally not an angry person bc I get it shit happens but when I pay 150 for a service I expect to get what I ASKED FOR not what the incompetent OWNER up front decided to pick and choose from my request. - will never be back. Suggest others go elsewhere. I posted pictures below of the shaving done on my dogs which was not good enough for my liking, much less half of my dogs head it cut but the other half isn't? Horrible job but who can argue with the "hard long work spent" on my dogs?? Disgusted by the way I was treated disgusted with the outcome. read more

I like the advanced monthly bookings since we do bring our dog in once a month. My shih tzu has been going to the same groomer out of the area for years. He's turning 16 this year and has trouble standing long (his back legs give out). He can also be quite difficult and grumpy especially when you try to trim his face. His old groomer told me he's too old and I'd have to take him to the vet to be groomed and sedated. I tried a mobile groomer who only finished half his body in twice the time and my lil old doggie was shaking and so upset. For months I trimmed his body myself but his poor lil face, anal glands and nails were not something I could do. THIS groomer reassured me via phone that they could do it. I brought him in and they groomed him PERFECTLY and made me feel reassured they could have him back, experienced with older dogs. I was so nervous the whole time he was there because of previous experiences and he's so old and fragile. THIS groomer earned every penny. I wanted to hug them! Thank you!
