We came back and took another two classes; Canine Etiquette I: The Basics of Dog Obedience and Off The Leash: Off-Leash Hiking With Your Dog) Some great places to hike with your four legged family member. Don't miss it!

I foster puppies often, many of them from troubled backgrounds, and I always have Melissa over for a consultation. I prefer her method of training--positive reinforcement--over others because often my fosters need to build confidence and establish base commands, not be reined in. She assesses the pup, we take it on a walk, and we come up with an action plan. I'm pretty good at training myself, but I do need brush-up sessions once in a while! Melissa also helped me with my two dogs when they were puppies (the last 2 pics of adult Jindos) and occasional confidence-building sessions afterwards.

Hands down the best dog trainer I've had. She has trained two of my Germans shepherds and I'm now enrolling my third dog to her class. If you are looking for a trainer that will work with you and your dog to get the results you want she is the trainer! She's the best!

My 4 month Bernese Mountain puppy went from the worst to winning the first fun challenge in the last class! Melissa is a great teacher to the humans and a great trainer to the animals! Evie and I will definitely be taking another class!

We've gone through two of Melissa's training classes with three different dogs. Both times she was very kind, patient, had great training solutions, answered all of our questions and never expected perfection. She celebrated even the smallest accomplishment made. Melissa also came to our house for a compatibility test with our new rescue dog. If it wasn't for Melissa's advice on how to make it a smooth transition we most certainly would have taken Toby back. 4 1/5 mths later I can't imagine not having Toby in our lives. Melissa is a dedicated animal lover and I highly recommend her. Amy J Burbank, CA

    Neila's diploma!

Melissa is AMAZING! She's so sweet and patient. She is always very detailed when she speaks and makes sure all your questions are answered. I signed up for the Canine Etiquette Class for my puppy of 6 months and let me tell you- she would get hyper and distracted during class but Melissa knew exactly what to do to calm her down or get her to listen. After completing the classes, I feel as though my little Neila is a better listener and much more obedient. My favorite trick Melissa helped us teach our dogs was "stay". I'm so glad I signed Neila up for Melissa's class, it was VERY helpful!! Thank you Melissa :)

But Alice and the exceptional trainers at K9 Logic sure did. They did not hesitate to take her on with love and firm discipline, teaching both her and us. With their training and support, Aralez was transformed in eight weeks into a dog that truly wanted to behave and interact with us so that she got the best results back. Learning how to use the E collar was the best thing ever now we can walk her past dogs and she doesn't charge, she knows how to Place and calm herself when she gets excited and she's really very responsive to just about everything we need her to do to keep her safe and us safe in an environment that she deserves to be in. We had tried what felt like everything and his separation anxiety was so bad that it got to the point that my partner and I basically gave up our social lives, had to coordinate with one another one of us would be going to the market or if it would be a trip where we both can go but someone sits in the car with our dog. We met the team at K9 Logic Dog Training and they assessed our dog and determined what kind of training program would be best for him to address his separation anxiety and the other skills we wanted to work on. Within a week we noticed progress. We finally were able to leave the house for an hour and go to the market together. Week by week the time has gradually gotten longer where we have been able to leave him alone for longer periods of time to reclaim our social life back. I was skeptical at first, but after that first week I became a believer. We are so happy with the results that for the purpose of just giving him structure and routine we signed him up for more classes and he LOVES being at school. We've also participated in the weekend group training sessions and they are so helpful to not only give our dog routine, but it's a great way to reinforce structure and keep him sharp with everything he learned at school. Signing up for training with K9 Logic Dog Training was the best decision we could made for our dog to set him up for success.

Over time, I started to notice some old behaviors creeping back in. Reached out for some fine-tuning, and within just a few days, my pup and I are completely back on track. It's incredible how quickly Greg was able to assess what was needed and get us refocused. Not only does he train the dog -- he gives us humans tools to succeed -- which makes all the difference (if you keep up the work). If you're looking for someone who truly cares about long-term results and is there when you need a reset, or help I highly recommend Greg! We opted for a one-week Board and Train program, and the results were night and day. Gregg kept us updated throughout the week, and by the time we picked her up, her leash manners and social aggression had improved drastically. Beyond the initial issues, Gregg went the extra mile by teaching her solid foundation commands. Gregg also performed a home visit to ensure the training transitioned to our home environment and successfully moderated a meet-and-greet with our neighbor's dog--something we had unsuccessfully attempted many times before. His methods were gentle and effective. We are so grateful for his help and highly recommend him. Thank you again Grgg

My very alpha dog needed a lot of training and Dawit turned him into a more calm alpha dog who knows his place at home and in public. We became prisoners in our own home. We either had to take him everywhere with us or have one of us stay behind. It became a huge burden, and we found ourselves scheduling our entire lives around our dog. We decided to work with Dawit, and little by little, things started to improve. When we got Cooper back from training, he was like a completely different dog. He no longer pulled on the leash, was not reactive when he saw other dogs, his recall was amazing, and many of our typical worries disappeared. However, the separation anxiety still persisted. This is where Dawit truly deserves recognition. He never gave up on us or on Cooper. Our training journey probably lasted longer than most because of how severe Cooper's anxiety was, but Dawit went far beyond the typical follow-ups. Over the course of several months, the training sessions, check-ins, texts/videos, communication, and home visits finally paid off. There were times when I genuinely thought we'd never be able to return to a normal life, but our consistency combined with Dawit's continued support and new techniques made all the difference. Cooper can now stay home alone in his crate without issues. That being said, training only works if you put in the effort. We followed through with everything Dawit recommended, even when it was difficult or when we didn't see immediate results. It's easy to fall back into old habits or give up when progress feels slow, but perseverance truly pays off. Side note: Dawit is just an all-around great person who genuinely cares about what he does. Our dog absolutely adores him. We also love the boarding services he offers -- especially because Cooper comes home exercised and happy. Another huge plus is that Cooper is now off-leash certified, and we fully trust him to make good decisions. Yes, it can be costly, but it's an investment and honestly, I don't know another dog as well‑behaved as ours. I'm incredibly proud of the work it took to get here.

To start on a positive note: the instructors at Zoom Room Sherman Oaks are wonderful. They were kind, patient, knowledgeable, and great with my puppy. I truly have nothing negative to say about the training staff themselves. Unfortunately, management completely changed my perception of this business. When I first reached out about enrolling my puppy at just 3 months old, Diego was extremely responsive, accessible, and accommodating. At the time, it felt like he genuinely cared about helping me get started early and setting my puppy up for success. Looking back now, it feels more like the priority was simply making the sale. I purchased a 20-class package and completed about 10 sessions before I was involved in an accident that medically took me out for several months. Once I recovered enough to return, I was excited to continue training and finish the remaining sessions I had already paid for -- only to suddenly be told that my classes had "expired." Here's the issue: nowhere during the sales process do I remember this being clearly explained, nor is it something that stood out on their website when I enrolled. Had someone transparently told me, "These classes must be completed within X amount of time or you lose them," I would have understood the terms upfront. Instead, I was left feeling blindsided after dealing with a serious medical situation that was completely outside my control. What made this experience especially frustrating was how differently I was treated once I needed help instead of making a purchase. Diego suggested I contact the Culver City location because they are corporate-owned and might be able to approve an exception. Their staff was incredibly kind, empathetic, and accommodating. They even told me they personally did not understand why Sherman Oaks would not work with me given the circumstances surrounding my accident. Unfortunately, because Sherman Oaks is independently owned, Culver City could not override their decision. At that point, it became increasingly clear that Diego simply did not want to accommodate me. Communication suddenly became difficult. Calls to the office repeatedly went straight to voicemail for days. Messages went unanswered. The number Diego originally provided me to text him through stopped working entirely. Eventually, I called from my office phone instead of my personal number -- and magically the call finally rang through and Diego answered immediately. That moment honestly confirmed what I had already suspected: it truly felt like my number had been blocked to avoid speaking with me. That is beyond unprofessional. When I finally spoke to him, he initially pretended not to know who I was before quickly changing course and stating that "they" would not approve an exception. When I politely asked who "they" referred to, he avoided giving a direct answer. I asked for justification as to why a customer recovering from an accident could not simply finish sessions that were already paid for, especially when another Zoom Room location agreed the request was reasonable. His response was essentially: "Then go there instead." I have been nothing but polite throughout this entire process. I have supported this business from day one. Every class visit included additional purchases for my dog. Yet the moment I needed basic understanding and compassion, I was treated like an inconvenience. Eventually Diego admitted that he had made previous exceptions for me related to cancellations that were also outside my control. Somehow, instead of those accommodations demonstrating reasonable customer service, he used them as justification for why he would no longer help me. That mentality says everything. A good manager understands that life happens. Accidents happen. Medical emergencies happen. Especially in a business centered around pets, people, and community, you would hope kindness and empathy would matter more than rigid policies selectively enforced after payment has already been collected. This entire experience has completely changed my perception of Zoom Room Sherman Oaks. Again, the trainers are fantastic -- but management can absolutely ruin an otherwise great business. He told me that I could speak with Jillian (which I imagine is another manager), but he ended with, "but she won't be approving you either." I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner of this location because this experience was handled terribly from start to finish. Until then, I would strongly encourage potential customers to think carefully before investing large amounts of money here. Based on my experience, the customer care disappears the moment flexibility, compassion, or accountability are needed.
