My 10-year old Bradford White Water Heater worked all great till last Thursday and could not stay lit. I googled and found the best reviewed local professionals were Payless Water Heaters. After a quick friendly call on Saturday afternoon, I got a morning appointment next day (Sunday). Max and Chris arrived right on time, and after patiently explained all available options, I decided to replace the old one with a new unit, even though the old one still looked pretty good. However since the average water heater life span is about 10 years, I decided just get a new one instead of taking the risk and repair, and the repair itself would cost $700, which I don't think would worth it on the old unit. Max and Chris have done the really great job, the entire work process took about 2 hours, the new shiny water heater was professionally installed and tested, the old one was hauled away (bye-bye). Our water heater stopped working and saw the leak on a Friday night...yikes. Found out it was probably installed in 1993 from the prior owner of our house so it's been in use for about 28 years. Saw a Payless WH pamphlet next to the water heater so I just called them. Max came out to do the initial eval of the situation and quoted me a suitable replacement package. Joey O came out on Monday to get it installed. He came on time and did a great job with the installation and I particularly appreciate the prep/cleanup work. Good communication from the company for the two visits as I was kept informed of any delays and arrival times. Hopefully, this new unit will last as long as the old unit - but at least I was told by Joey O that the brand/model they use are known for their quality and availability of parts. Our water heater started leaking from the bottom. Carlos from Payless Water Heaters came in few days back to diagnose and recommended replacement. Carlos put us in touch with Chris (Sales Mgr) who was great to talk to and provided us with details and pricing on the options. He went above and beyond to provide us with a competitive price and threw in an expansion tank also to seal the contract. Carlos replaced the water heater for us today. He was on time, wearing a mask and got the job done professionally in less than 2 hours. The city code upgrades were installed by Carlos to ensure safety and compliance when the permit is pulled and city inspector comes to take a look at the water heater. Payless Water Heaters provides superior service! On July 3, 2021, our technician, Joseph R., installed a larger, replacement 50 gallon tank for my wife and I. This was conveniently available on his truck. At my request, he set it up on a deeper drip pan in case of a leak.
