Pazza is the neighborhood Italian gem that does everything Italians are notorious for: being loud, serving up lots of food, and bringing people together. I got a TravelZoo voucher for Pazza because it looked interesting and it was a great deal. These kind of deals are really hit or miss but it was a great deal so we gave it a shot, and I'm glad we did. The homemade pasta was the highlight of our meal. Not overworked, dry, overcooked, it had the perfect bite and was treated with the respect it deserved. There were a lot of good options for pasta but we opted for the seafood special and the carbonara. The carbonara took me back my time in Italy... it was perfect. I've had some terrible carbonara in my years where the egg breaks or is overcooked and starchy, but this was smooth, silky, and perfectly seasoned while keeping the pork crispy and dry. The seafood special was good, flavorful, and a good portion. I think it was trout in a tomato, olive, caper, garlic sauce over a bed of spaghetti. The burrata was good too, but neither of these dishes blew me away, not like the carbonara did at least. The staff was friendly and prompt, giving us the appropriate attention without smothering us. No issues here. The atmosphere felt like a a busy neighborhood Italian place, high energy, lots of laughing and talking - just a really cool vibe. I think Pazza has a lot going for it. I had concerns at first but was pleasantly surprised at our first experience, if you like local/neighborhood gems I recommend giving Pazza a try. read more

Let's start off with the location, Pazza is in a prime spot in East Boston. We came in here on a Saturday night after looking for parking at other locations - Pazza has its own off street parking which is a huge plus for the area. We started off with the burrata and two cocktails. Our server was great - the fisherman plate I ordered with scallops did not come with scallops and I had to send it back but they were very accommodating for making the mistake. Came to Pazza after leaving the airport to grab a bite and a drink and they did not disappoint! The hostess seated me right away and the place was not busy around 5/6 ish. Dim lighting with Italian chic art pieces draped about. Bartenders and servers are friendly and attentive. I ordered the toxic therapy cocktail which was sweet. Went here on a Tuesday night and their special is a $10 pasta. I got the Aglio e Olio, it came out piping hot and has a nice kick. If you're really hungry, you should order the regular dishes. My girlfriend got the Alla Vodka and the sauce is amazing. We will definitely come back here! read more

Was hoping to hit Rino but it was closed. This place was near by and had decent reviews. Got the bruschetta with marscapone, meatballs, Chicken Parm with rigatoni and vodka sauce, and a chicken cutlet. Overall the food was pretty decent. Surprisingly the bruschetta was one of the best parts. The rigatoni was a bit doughy. The sauce was alright. The sour note of the dinner was the garlic mashed potatoes that came with the cutlet. Im genuinely curious if it was boxed mashed potatoes. It has absolutely no flavor and was chalk like textured. This place is a bar, with Italian food as an afterthought. I wouldn't come here for a good Italian meal. But maybe for a drink, a date, that happens to serve alright food. read more

3.5 stars. The short of it: skip the entrees, sit in the beautiful bar, and feast on great appetizers and cocktails. We've been twice since this establishment replaced Craft Table. The first time was opening night. I'll spare you the details regarding service given that they were brand new in our first visit. We visited again service was fabulous. So far we've had the cabonara, the fisherman's dish with seafood and risotto, a pink sauce pasta dish, calamari, burrata app, ricotta app, and many(!) cocktails. The calamari was bland and obviously frozen. The cabonara the first time was stellar: creamy, yolky sauce with chewy pasta. The second time the cabonara tasted completely different, like Alfredo!! The risotto was watery and underseasoned, and the pink pasta dish was boring. Standouts are the burrata followed by the ricotta. I love the pasta here. Personally, I think the portion sizing is perfect (not too big or small, not too filling to the point of feeling bloated, but not too small where you feel like you're still not full). I also think the pasta is really good - I have been here twice and I like the pink pasta sauce the best. I also really like the Bolognese I think was what it was called. Both times I went, they did ask us to write a 5-star Google review (hence why I'm reviewing on yelp honestly) to get a free champagne drink. I thought it was a good business move but takes away from the value of the food. Anyways, overall, I liked the pasta here and the drinks are good. Really disappointed in this meal. Azza Pasta and pork with pasta - both meals were flavorless. Tough to screw up pasta but they did. Doughy flavorless fusilli. Pazza on Porter is our go-to for a good cocktail in the East Boston area, so we have been quite a few times. The atmosphere is great at Pazza! You enter through a photo wall (great for Instagram) where you are then greeted by the friendly staff and good music. We have gone on different days of the week but the Pazza is often crowded. I would recommend making reservations on OpenTable. As for the drinks, the cocktail menu is limited but offers enough variety for everyone to enjoy. Each drink is garnished nicely and tastes delicious! My top favorites are "Before It Was Cool" and "Nobody Likes a Shady Beach" (pictured). As for the food, we often share a Calamari for an appetizer. The Calamari serves two and is always delicious! Highly recommend. For our dinner, we ordered the Gnocchi and the Carbonara dishes. The Gnocchi was served in a tomato sauce with Burrata and drizzled with fresh basil. Overall, tasted great and I would order this again. I can't speak on the Carbonara but my boyfriend said it was delicious! Finally, we ordered the cannoli for dessert. We thought we ordered a traditional ricotta cannoli but it had a strong citrus flavor to it. It was a pleasant surprise and a nice end to our meal. read more

I had to pick up my wife at the airport around 6pm on a Saturday and we wanted to grab dinner on our way home. Our usual after airport spot had a long line (pizza and lamb at Santarpio's). Right down the street was Pazza on Porter, we found it on google. So we went in, very glad we did. Very nice restaurant. We were greeted by a very nice hostess. Our server was very attentive, polite and professional (I forgot her name). Drinks were refilled quickly. the empty plates from our apps were cleared right away. We had some questions about the menu, she was very informed. For an app we had grilled octopus and arancini, delicious. My wife had the gnocchi pesto, I had the Fisherman's feast pasta. We shared our plates with each other (we always do that). Both were delicious. Another thing i like about this place, is they actually have a parking lot! I got a parking space no problem! That's a rarity in East Boston! Overall a very good experience, and we will definitely be going back. read more

Today, that my opinion has changed. my family and I decided to go try out Pazza during brunch hours on a Sunday. At first I was surprised it was so empty but not an issue for me as I do love the food. We were seated and our Server (Anquelic, or Anikita wish I remembered) came for our drink order and so far so good. she come Back with only my child and husbands drinks and stayed oh sorry, o didn't hear you order, yet she looked directly at me and said is Pepsi okay. So far still okay. Our appetizers come which is my all time fave at Pazza the bruschetta with fig jam. i order a refil and order my husband and I food. My daughter food arrives which is very good and so does the appetizer. lovely we continue to wait for our food but since we ordered a little later we just thought that's why its taking so long. About 20 mins have passed since we ordered mind you we are the only other table there maybe one more Table in the back. I finally ask the waiters hey where is out food. She replies oh it should be out in a few. A new table comes in and orders and their food was dive. To them in a matter or 15 min to where I look towards waitress confused as to why they just arrived and have their food already, we've been waiting 45 mins. The hostess come to my table and says I am so sorry my waitress just informed she doesn't remember your order and said she put in the computer but we can't find it. Can you let know what you ordered and. We will get it out quickly. I was upset as we have been waiting for 45 mins for our food and the waitress didn't do her job, we left. I love this place but it is such a disappointment to have customer service this way. I will have to consider going back and if I do will be evening where the service is better. The music, drinks and ambiance were 5 stars, but since Yelp is a food review I have to give this restaurant 2 stars. We all ordered salads and waited almost an hour for them to arrive which is surprising for something that should be fairly easy to make. When the salads did eventually arrive they weren't even chopped! It was as if the chef peeled a head of lettuce into 4 portions, grilled it for a second and drizzled some sauce on top. I ordered the apple salad special with chicken, which turned out to be apple slices with cheese. The chicken didn't even come out until I was done eating my apple. For almost $25 per portion, it was not worth eating here. My sister also noticed her second glass of wine wasn't the same as the first and nicely the waitress got her what she ordered. Nice time at Pazza, first time in that space since it was Ecco which i also liked. Pretty space with plenty of outdoor seating and a nice bar and dining room. We had a great deal from Travelzoo so split the fig ricotta bruschetta, I had a nice salmon and sautéed veg dish and M had seafood w pasta. Split a nice pistachio cake and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Very sweet service and a nice time but it's a long way from JP so won't be making frequent visits but can see it being a comfy standby. read more

Ordered the 'Date Night' special for takeout, which came with an appetizer (burrata), two entrees (allá pazza, bolognese), some cannolis and a bottle of red wine. Everything was cooked to perfection, sauces were on point, was ready fairly quickly, and was portioning was ideal for two people. And the wine doesn't suck! I'm honestly surprised by the value, $46.80 which included tax, tip and a service charge. They still have out outdoor seating with heaters which is nice. Hopefully for a few more weeks at least. Place is also really cute inside. I was a little hesitant cause we live near Rino's which is the gold standard of Italian in this area. But , darnit, Pazza really impressed me tonight! I'm super psyched to go back and try the rest of their menu. Seriously, I can't praise it highly enough. read more

We stayed at the Embassy Suites at Logan Airport. This was a short 10 minute walk. Lovely waitress and two excellent dinners. A number of choices for large and small plates as well as specials. This place arguably has the best view of 1A out of any other restaurant I've been to. They used to have a decent breakfast burrito but the genius in charge of the menu made the smart move of replacing it with a Broccoli quesadilla, smart move champ. The Bloody Mary has gone down hill quicker than my life has. It used to come with a nice slab of bacon and an olive, now I'm lucky if I get a cocktail napkin and a stern look by the party of 12 girls attending the amateur hour brunch this place puts on every week. Still missing Ecco, variety, decent drinks, they just dont seem to be catering to the neighborhood. Instead, trying to be relevant and trendy. Server " Will" , was nice, helpful and holding down several sections. Competent and capable, they're lucky to have some good help. Drinks "before it was cool" (espresso martini) yummy, but too small a portion, served with a foamy head, maybe 5 oz. Pour. "Nobody like a shady beach" (rum punch variation) horrible name and description really, she thought itd be sweet, tropical and fun, instead thought it tasted like dirty sand, the drink was almost brown, and garnished with pineapple leaves, instead of the pineapple. Small pour here too, but considering it wasnt great, that was fine. Appetizers: stuffed pepper, tasty, good portion, mozz, ground beef rice, seasoning, over tomato sauce, sauce was bland and useless in the dish, offering nothing but color. And calamari, very small portion, accompanied with same tomato sauce, absolutely absent of discernable flavor, no profound flavor profile expected in italian cuisine and the portion was that of a upscale restuarant and completely underwhelming, this calamari seemed iqf (frozen) rather than hand breaded as the portion and price might suggest. And had almost as many peppers as calamari parts. Meh.. Entree: Ribeye, cooked med, at 9 pm on a Sunday, game night.. ehh, really just basic. Covered in a version of Salisbury steak gravy.. brown gravy smothering a 26$ ribeye... ok steak was not a prime cut, maybe choice or perhaps select. They could do better here. Impressions: 1) too open to knock down the sounds travelling throughout space. One loud group will easily take over the room. 2) games on, inviting in the game crowd but offering no game type menu items, no wings, even lollipops or higher end versions. Also no pizzas even a decent house style flatbread, or personal gourmet pizzas, why? I'm baffled.. as explained, santarpios wont allow a pizza sold that close.. I'd say call it a cheesy baked cracker.. not a pizza, problem solved. (They do offer the same Bianco and sons sausage tho..) 3) cant be because they are going higher end and they dont care to do pizza or wings, after all they use french fries as a side for several menu items. This place needs bar pickins or they will suffer same fate as Craft. (Prior Tenant) This place follows the last, down the path of let's be trendy, not timeless, classic.. Pazza has a special place in my heart. I've now been here several times despite visiting from out of town. The food is excellent and the service is great. Extra bonus is that it is three minutes from my friend's place. In the past, my friend and I have split the salmon pistacchio and arancini. Both hearty, flavorful, and delicious. Most recently, I stopped in for dinner a week ago after a long day at work. I went with the bolognese; I think my friend ordered the carbonara. We shared the burrata. Everything was wonderful. At its price point, I think the portions are good and fulfilling. My bolognese was flavorful and as advertised with a nice amount of meat and sauce; my friend's carbonara had delicious pancetta and the sauce was just creamy and heavy enough without being sickening. He really liked the balsamic glaze and burrata; neither of us cared for the prosciutto. As we sat down at the bar, the bartender, who has served us before, asked my friend if he wanted an old fashion to warm up. I opted ordering that while my friend opted for beer and a glass of wine. I felt bad as I did not like the old fashion and my friend ended up finishing up all the drinks. On the second visit during this recent trip, I found the E-Mule-ioooo. I was debating between that and Before It Was Cool. Luckily, my friend was eyeing the latter so I could try both. Now, I don't know my alcohol and was surprised it came in the copper mug. My friend was like, "I don't like Moscow Mules." In the end, he thought it was pretty good and finished my drink along with his, which I also liked. After downing half the E-Mule-ioooo pretty quickly, I felt sleepy so his drink with the espresso and beans helped a little bit. I was just surprised my friend could finish both our drinks after having four beers at The Quiet Few while we watched the Pats on Saturday. The ambiance at Pazza is pretty chill and for the most part, volume is reasonable. They had different games on the tvs behind the bar so when my friend requested they change the channel, they complied so I thought that was nice customer service. read more
