If you like small menus, updated decor, and some above average food this is your spot! Pretzel was really good, the honey mustard was interesting and the beer cheese was good nothing crazy to obsess about. The wrap was fine, wish it had a bit more chicken and the sweet potato fries were solid. The burger (not pictured) cooked to temp, huge honestly and nice to see it doesn't always have to be a smash burger anymore. Their brunch menu we couldn't have much because of the time of day we went in but also couldn't look at dinner yet, maybe if we came in a different time could see more options. The server was friendly to us as well along with the hostess. Place was clean as well

The food was super bland. And it was every dish. The food quality was also lacking in general. The tenders looked like they were re-fried. The Parmesan cheese on the Caesar salad was chewy. The croutons were mushy. I asked for some garlic aioli to add some flavor to my burger but was given what tasted like stale mayo with zero garlic. The ambiance was pretty nice but a bit dark in the back and the high chairs were very uncomfortable. The majority of the restaurant has high chairs & tables. There were some booths tucked away in the back. The service was ok. A couple of things forgotten but friendly towards the end. Street parking was available but there were "no parking" signs for construction work.

We had a really nice dinner here before going to a show at the garden, we picked it because of its proximity to our hotel, and it had some vegetarian options for my husband. We didn't have a reservation but were promptly seated and our server was nice. I had a really great drink that was the special and also had a portion being donated to charity. We shared the nachos to start and my husband LOVED them. I had a Caesar wrap with tots, he had an Alfredo pasta, both were good I initially got fries delivered instead of the tots I had ordered but they quickly fixed it. We would recommend as a good dinner & drink option :)

Farmer's Market Brunch Bowl without bacon

Honestly surprised this place doesn't have better reviews! I really enjoyed my brunch there. Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Farmer's Market Brunch Bowl without bacon - 2 over easy eggs over home fries, roasted sweet potato, roasted Brussels sprouts, and some kind of garlicky aioli sauce. Everything was very tasty and I LOVED the home fries. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. My two small complaints - the Brussels sprouts in my dish were only lightly roasted, bordering on raw, which is not my favorite. And as far as ambiance goes, this place is LOUD. It wasn't even totally full when I was there but I had to pretty much shout to be heard over the noise. Overall, I would come back, maybe on a weekday when it's a little quieter.

Came here after a graduation for a group dinner and it was wonderful! Great drinks, the Italian egg rolls were wonderful and the fish tacos were also delicious!

Food - 6.5/10 Service - 6.5/10 This place was pretty average. Making a reservation online was kind of a pain, it wouldn't let me make an account (which it made me make) and I didn't get any confirmation for anything. My friend tried and she said hers went through but when we went her name wasn't put down for anything. It wasn't busy though so we were easily able to get a table. Our waitress was barely seen, other than getting our order right when we sat down. We ran out of water pretty quick and no one was around to refill and when we ordered we asked for extra sauce and pickles but they were never given. The food was decent, we got 2 burgers the Hot Bird and Turkey Smash. The Hot Bird lacked sauce in both the hot honey and in the spicy chicken flavor itself. The Turkey also could use more aioli sauce. The briole bun on each was a great touch though, it was a little sweet and had a great crunch. The fries just needed some salt but nothing special. The Spicy Sweet Potato Tacos came with 3 tacos and were not spicy, the portion on the taco itself was small. Also the fried plantains were just 3 small pieces. ‍ The burgers were $18 each and tacos for $17. A High Noon was $10 and Budlight for $6. If you were looking for apps note the price was the same as a meal. Overall nothing special for nearly $20 for a meal.

If you're in Southie on a Saturday afternoon, Layla's is an absolute must. The atmosphere is electric, especially with college football on -- the energy in the room makes it the perfect game day spot. The menu has a wide range of options, but nothing tops the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. It's packed with flavor, the right amount of heat, and paired with crispy golden fries that hit the spot every time. The service was a bit slow with the bar taking 30 mins before we got a drinks, with the bar being backed up Between the great food, lively crowd, and unbeatable vibes, Layla's is the place to be if you're looking for a fun and delicious weekend hangout in South Boston.

I'm surprised this isn't a more popular brunch spot! I went at 1045am on a Saturday and there was so much seating available. The brunch portions were each and each dish was thoughtfully plated. I got the Cinnabon waffles and I loved the presentation. The dish was delicious as well, I was only able to finish half of it but I enjoyed every bite! Our server was very nice also.

I was visiting a friend in boston and tried Laylas. It was very delicious! I did not get a picture but they have a cinnamon roll pancake or french toast dish. That was the best thing I've ever tasted and I still think about it to this day!!

Went here for Sunday brunch to try the Cinnabon pancakes. Staff was super friendly and the food was amazing. Lots of good choices to try.

This is one of my favorite places in South Boston. The food is outstanding! There is plenty of seating: Bar, Booths & high top tables. Beautifully decorated & very clean. The staff are always happy & helpful. We tried the truffle fries...yum! TV's Galore! Highly recommend. No parking lot but found a non resident parking space on Broadway. Easily accessible by the T.

You know when you're eating a kale salad and the pieces are too big and you're kind of cramming them into your mouth and then the salad dressing is all over your face? This is NOT that salad! The kale is perfectly chopped so you can enjoy it with just your fork as you talk to your friend/spouse/date or just read your book. The dressing is such perfection, and the perfect amount, no gloopiness here! Crunchy breadcrumbs add magical texture and then there's a shower of finely grated gouda cheese on top. Have you ever read a good book and as you're reading it, you're so into it that you don't want it to end? So you slow down your reading speed to make it last a little longer? That's how I feel about this salad. There are other delicious items on the menu, I saw someone eating the burger that looked so good, I also want to try the Brussels but the call of the salad siren is too strong. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly, especially Catherine, and the kitchen team even shared the dressing recipe with me. Excellent wine list, casual and cozy space with twinkle lights, a lot of bar/counter seating, great date spot. Also attached/sister company to American Provisions I believe (great spot in Southie for sandwiches, cheeses, wines, pastries, rare food items).

We walked into a warm, energetic space with dim lighting, an open dining room, and a constant buzz that makes it a great choice for a night out with friends or a date. The restaurant has a vibrant, social energy that encourages sharing and exploration, and the open layout adds to the sense of activity without feeling chaotic. Rather than ordering individual entrées, the experience is centered around sharing a variety of dishes, making each visit feel a little different depending on what you choose. The tapas are the highlight of the menu, with plenty of options that encourage trying a little bit of everything. The bacon-wrapped dates are one of the signature dishes, balancing sweet and savory flavors, while the patatas bravas, croquettes, and charcuterie boards are reliable choices to start the meal. If you are looking for something more substantial, the seafood paella and squid ink pasta stand out as excellent main dishes, offering rich flavors and generous portions that are easy to split between two or more people. The olive oil cake is also worth saving room for if you want to end the meal with dessert, and the overall progression of the meal works well with the tapas format. The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Wine is the main focus, with an extensive list featuring Spanish and international selections, but the sangria and cocktails are equally popular. It is the kind of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours sharing plates while working your way through a few different drinks, and the beverage program is thoughtfully curated to match the style of the food. Service is one of the restaurant's strongest points. The staff are knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and dishes arrive steadily throughout the meal instead of all at once, creating a relaxed dining pace. The pacing allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed, and the team checked in at the right moments without hovering. The restaurant is consistently busy, especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Even with a reservation, there can occasionally be a short wait, and the lively atmosphere means the dining room can get quite loud during peak hours. The energy of the room is part of what makes the experience work, but it is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quieter dinner. Barcelona Wine Bar is one of the best places in Boston for Spanish-inspired tapas and wine. The combination of flavorful shareable dishes, a well-curated drink menu, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere makes it an easy choice for group dinners, celebrations, or date nights. It offers a meal that feels both communal and polished, with a setting that encourages slowing down and enjoying the evening. Just be prepared for the energetic environment and plan ahead if you are visiting during the busiest times.

Even though we just had drinks and an app here, I still would like to try and come back for their full menu. On a busy Saturday afternoon in Boston, walking around the Tall Ships, we stopped in at the Envoy hotel to use the restrooms. I remember this restaurant being here, but it's been quite some time. Since we could use a drink and some food, we saw 2 spots open up at the bar so we grabbed them. The place was packed! The outside was slammed. Plus, they had live music which was pretty cool. So, we decided to stay for a cocktail and an app. We ordered the guacomole which was good and I had their Clover Club cocktail, one that I have been meaning to try due to a competition bartending show on Netflix. The cocktail was excellent I had to order another. We didn't plan on staying long, but after meeting some new people and enjoying great conversations, we stayed for awhile. The bartenders looked pretty busy and very overwhelmed but they did the best they could. It was a great time! I know we will be back again for dinner or another time to try their full menu. Definitely a place to check out for sure! Cheers~

Mushroom Toast: The texture was rubbery, and the flavor was completely drowned out by an aggressive amount of balsamic. Beets: Had a very overwhelming cumin flavor that threw the dish out of balance.
