So, in-person, this place isn't great. We've ordered pickup & delivery from here & love their crust. But inside? Ew. Table tops are sticky. The tea is rancid. The TV was showing some bayou show where animals were being killed. The service is basically non existent. I ordered an 18 inch pizza for my kids and a personal pizza for me and got two 18 inch pizzas. We will stick with pickups from now on, but honestly not sure we will be back at all. As a native New Yorker I love a good pizza. I've been going to this place for years since they've been open. The pizza slices are rather huge and they're very delicious. I just wish they put more sauce on the pizza. Today I ended up getting it through DoorDash and I got a large extra cheese pizza. I got it well done and it was. Try this place! And if you didn't have a good experience before, give it another try! They have new dedicated management and have made so many improvements! Lots to choose from and you can get as creative as you want. You order countertop, there's a screen next to the register for you to place your order and pay. Or you can place your order at the counter if you want something more specific. All the sizes including the smallest are enough to feed several people. We would oooh and ahhh every time each thing came out. Honestly, our whole group felt like little kids again. When the biggest one came out, we all squealed with delight! The kids and all of us jumped out of our seats and we had to take a picture with the biggest pizza we've ever seen & eaten! They have the sizes on the wall and they are scaled to size. It's the actual size! Food comes out so timely and everything tastes so fresh. All toppings were fresh. They have the heavy old school plates and plastic cups from back in the day and the whole place has a very nostalgic feel with some cool fusion updates to the menu. They also serve Mexican food. We tried the steak and chicken nachos and they tasted light and clean. Nice amount veggies, meat, beans and cheese on light chips. Your kids will love having these. Everything is so easy to share as well. They come out on shareable trays. We ordered a few pizzas because our table wanted to try a few things. Everything tasted fresh and even though the slices are huge the thin crusts make it easy to eat. We helped ourselves to some to go boxes which they keep nearby and every one went home with some tasty leftovers. My nephews had a blast. ***We got a chance to speak to management and they mentioned they have a food truck and they can do special events. So I can imagine kids would love to see this at a Birthday party. Couples, this would be cute to have at a wedding reception or bridal party. Parents, why not get a food truck for your graduate and their friends? The management will take good care of you. So give them a call. They bring all the bottled drinks, ice cream and whatever items you want in the truck. They have so many items on their menu like salads, sandwiches, wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, pasta, calzones, cakes, and even Mexican. They may add some cool Asian and Indian toppings like chicken teriyaki and chicken tikka masala soon! Can't wait to come back. It's such a family friendly place. And I'm so happy the owners put a Halal sign out. The Mexican items are Halal too! As a Muslim kid who grew up in south, pepperoni and sausage were things I couldn't eat on pizza because they're usually made with pork. Such a lovely spot! Have driven past Pazzo honestly my whole life and have never thought to try it. I was recommended by quite a few people to try it out and it really did exceed expectations! The new management is doing a fabulous job giving new life to Pazzo and delivering quality food. My friends both got the typical Pazzo big slice and loved them. I opted for the chicken salad which was genuinely up there in the chicken salads I've tried!! This was our third time getting take out from Pazzo. We normally order calzones but tonight we wanted a pizza so I called in the order and she told me it would be ready in 20. We got the Sicilian with sausage, pepperoni, and spinach. I got home with the pizza and was thoroughly disappointed at how few toppings were on the pizza (there were whole slices without cheese) and how undercooked the dough was. As I was eating, I thought to myself "I don't even know how much this cost." I thought back and realized the only screen I saw on the machine was the tip screen (which I only tipped 15% since it was take out) and I remember the tip was around $8. I go check my bank account to find out that this pizza was SIXTY THREE DOLLARS! I'm literally in awe that I just paid that much money for this. It's not their fault that I didn't ask how much it was going to cost, but there was definitely a lack of transparency about the cost (didn't mention on the phone, at the register, or on the screen). I'm not sure how we got to $63-- that would mean that each topping was $5 which feels insane. Anyway, all of that to say... this place is extremely expensive for what you get. I would only recommend the calzones if you find yourself here. We will probably not go back. read more

We tried the food truck when we were at a race at Barber. Pizza was good. Sausage crumbles did not stay on meat pizza easily. But the real secret food item is the meatballs. Don't skip this. This place does not serve authentic Italian food. When we walked in, the restaurant was empty and staff was sitting at a table staring at their phones; they got up and took our order. When we turned around to sit at a table, all but two tables were dirty. So yeah, they were sitting around on their phones, while a majority of the tables needed to be cleared. Staff was not rude, just indifferent. I ordered the baked ziti with meatballs, it was horrible. The sauce tasted like it was straight out of the can, the meatballs are the mass produced frozen kind you get at your local wholesale warehouse that tastes nothing like Italian style meatballs; they were like meatballs you get in a cafeteria - similar to IKEA. My friend had the lasagna and also said it was not good. We did not order the pizza, so perhaps that is where they shine. Stay away from the pasta dishes! However, it kind of seems to be just because they made the crust pretty thin; I'd say it's no more dough, and I'm just as happy with the nearby club store pizza. Utensils didn't work so well. The pizza wasn't too hot, the forks just bent as you tried to cut the slice. Only used it long enough to be able to make it small enough to pick up by hand. Super pleased with the cupcakes. This may be my first second review of a restaurant, if you follow along, feel free to correct me. Pazzos has great pizza, what I had not tried was the Calzone. Wow! Instead of a doughy, bland Calzone, which is what i was expecting, I got a crispy, flavorful mouth pleaser. This is definitely a novelty restaurant for me. My kids got a big kick out of how big their slice is, haha. We went in for a late lunch today and there was only one other customer inside. The lady that took our order was nice and our food came out quickly. We got the slice combo and the pasta combo from their lunch specials. When you go to a restaurant in Alabama, half of what you are seeking is that touch of southern hospitality. Well, at least I am. Where were the smile, the warm welcome, the friendliness? We felt more like an intrusion than welcome guests. Also, we felt nickel and dimed over every item. Water? Sure- but no cups, you will be charged for bottled water. And you won't be told. Just charged. When I noticed the additional charge, I asked about it, and the cashier told me that they only HAVE bottled water. I asked her to simply remove the water, and she looked astonished but complied. I left a nice 20% tip while paying at the counter, because that's just how we fly. Wish we had waited until after the meal. Sharing a dish? Better share your fork too, because there are not any forks or napkins set out. You will be handed one set when your meal is brought to you. There's an up-charge if you plan to use your debit card. The prices seemed high to us for lunch. There WERE specials, but they all included drinks. We only drink water rather than soft drinks, though. My chicken Parmesan was available in sandwich or plate form. When I ordered, I did not specify "sandwich." I just asked for the chicken Parmesan. She never asked for clarification, she just brought me the sandwich. That was not what I wanted. I was kind about it. She did fix it, but there was no smile or apology. She just took my plate and walked away. The replacement plate was a hearty portion and it was nice and hot and tasty. And it was delivered with my own personal set of plastic wear. At last! The Mobster meat pizza slice and the Hawaiian calzone were enjoyed by the others. Our cannoli? Oh dear oh dear. We got that to go since they never brought it out to us and we finally just had to leave. They seemed super put out about us asking for it. Well, wish we had not. It was...musty? Maybe it had been stored in a basement, was well past it's due date? It was either the cannoli itself or the cream on it, but it was absolutely OFF. Overall this is not a bad spot at all, but there isn't much about it that really stands out from a lot of other casual Italian places. They do have massive slices of pizza, and you can order whole pizzas in ridiculous sizes if you'd like. So they're unique in that they sell the biggest pizzas that I've ever seen. The place seems clean and tidy, and the service in my experience is adequate for a super casual place. The menu has a good bit of variety from pasta to pizza to cheese sticks, garlic knots etc, so everyone should be able to get what they want. We asked what do we have a available? and the worker said i don't have time, it would take way to much time to list everything. Pros: Slice was big and tasted OK, but not great. Tasted pre prepared. Cons: We instantly disliked our server/cashier. No eye contact, lots of unhuh's and yeahs. Garlic knots were just dough with cheese melted on top brushed with butter. Very underwhelming. Waitress was so distracted when placing one of our slices on our table she tried to set it down on top of another. I tried to move make room and spilled my coke which got an eye roll. They charge you 3% for the privilege for making a credit card payment. Payment machine asks you for a tip while you are placing your order at the counter and before you've been served any food. A cup of water costs 68 cents. Conclusion: Pizza is not bad, but the staff and garlic knots are terrible. read more

There are several things going really well, at this place, but definitely a couple things that could be better. One of the big draws of this restaurant is the big slice, which comes off of a 48 inch pizza. Yes that means they have gigantic pizza. They offer a variety of toppings and options in which I'm always a fan of. Now the greasiness is something else. Gordon Ramsey would be disappointed in the amount of grease I consumed. We ordered the baked feta theologos as an appetizer, which is a block of greek feta cheese baked and topped with kalamata olives, garlic and oregano, roasted red tomatoes, and served with homeade toasted bread. Now this was us being adventurous, as we thought this was something totally different, almost like loaded cheese bread...it was not. Although the salty flavor did work to my favorite, when I picked up the thick foil that was holding the cheese, my hand was drenched with grease and oil. Overall I think this place has a lot to offer, even though their menu seems to be a bit too extensive, but if I'm in the area again, I would love to try some of there specialty pizzas, or even a big slice. Extra kudos for having the ability to order through the Yelp app, and it being a Yelp cash back location as well. Dramatic other reviews say no public restrooms. The sign clearly states that the restrooms are for customers only, so any other review that would lead you to believe you are not allowed to use the restroom if you eat there is clearly simply looking for attention. The enormously sliced pizza could have easily been hastily prepared and presented without care if they wanted to be passed off as a simple cute novelty restaurant for serving giant pizza. It's a nice clean spot to eat. There's a traditional feel when you walk in. Pazzo s has a large variety of pizzas, calzones and salads. The portions are more than generous. I ordered the lunch special which came with a huge slice of pizza and a drink. I had enough pizza to last for dinner that night and breakfast from that one slice.
