This is a picture of me, enjoying a cold Sierra Nevada while my slice is being heated!

Ed Mutt says Pazzos RULES! For some authentic New York style pizza this is the only place to go in the area. Sorry I missed you, Mikey and Hutch.... Thank you for keeping my memories of the great race and good food alive.. Edward Mutterer

I was a bit nervous about trying this spot out due to the mixed reviews but we were in the area and needed a quick bite due to the kiddos being hungry. As a party of five we were seated pretty quickly and it's definitely informal pizza spot and also quite family friendly. We ordered fries and bread for quick appetizers and it was tasty! The pizza was plenty and gave good amount of portions and was super affordable. I was pleasantly surprised and excited to come back if I'm ever in the area.

If you're looking for a budget friendly place to eat in Vail, try this place out! Food was great and service was friendly.

Pepperoni pizza. Cheese pizza ( I preferred the pepperoni & my friend preferred the cheese !

The pizza was made fresh on the spot ! It smelled so good walking into the restaurant. The service was very friendly. We all tried a variation of slices and they were all delicious! We also ordered a small supreme pizza. Surprisingly, The pepperoni was my favorite! The perfect place to have lunch while exploring Vail Villa!

Quick meal stop while in Vail.. we decided to dine at Pazzzos! Service was quick and pizza was great. We got the Aztec with some chicken and it was so good, the coriander tasted so good in the pizza. My friend got the chicken Parmesan and she was pretty happy with her dinner. We also got a round of beers, they had good local options. Very affordable compared to the other restaurants in Vail.

Great location right off the slopes really good pizza and wings. The atmosphere is both family friendly but also has a nice little bar. It is fairly priced. I will go back.

This is the original location in Vail Village that opened in 1990. Pazzo's was started by some guys who would ski all day and make pizzas at night. Pazzo's Pizzeria is located next to the parking structure and was walking distance from our hotel. It was crazy packed in here on a chilly Friday night. Their menu has pizza, calzones, pasta, sandwiches, and appetizers. There are plenty of TV's inside that showcase local sports. I grabbed a couple slices of pizza and a beer. The Corfu is more of a Greek style pizza with olives, tomatoes, and feta cheese. The Azteca has peppers and jalapeños. I enjoyed both my slices. I felt bad for my friend who has celiac disease. This location has no gluten-free options other than greens (yet the other two locations have gluten-free pizza). My buddy had to watch me scarf down my slices of pizza while he ate his tiny little salad. How about make all your locations with gluten-free options.

    Antipasto salad!

Pazzo's wasn't bad... unless you require a gluten-free diet (like I do). There were NOT ANY gluten-free options available for appetizers, sandwiches, calzones, or pizzas. So I was left with a choice of two or three salads... from the ENTIRE MENU.. The anti-depressant, I mean antipasto, salad was actually quite good, but it is depressing watching all of those pizzas being made, brought out to other hungry customers, and eaten without even being afforded the opportunity to enjoy one as well. I wouldn't come back for the salad, but if you have celiac and end up at Pazzo's, then at least the antipasto salad will leave you with one good option. Overall rating: ****FOUR STARS**** Gluten-free rating: *ONE STAR*

Pazzo's Pizzeria in Vail is a delightful stop for anyone looking to refuel after hitting the slopes. The pizza here is simply delicious, and the service adds to the overall pleasant experience. The waitress was notably friendly, efficient, and made sure our visit was enjoyable. What stood out was the quality of the food - it was SUPER good. Additionally, the pizzeria's location is a big plus; it's conveniently situated in Vail Village. It has a great ambiance and I would definitely recommend Pazzo's Pizzeria to anyone in the area that is looking for a delicious pizza. alook forward to my next visit.

Calzone - it was good but the pizza ended up being better

**15/10; iconic, must be protected at all costs**…read more My girlfriend and I are in Vail for the weekend to watch dogs jump into water, as one does. We're staying at the Grand Hyatt, which has been... fine. Meh, if we're being honest. A local recommended Mountain Standard, so we tried to make a reservation on OpenTable and quickly learned they were booked solid until tomorrow (a great data point, btw). But, being the swarthy pirates that we are, we showed up anyway; and thank sweet baby Jesus, we found two seats at the bar. Our barkeep, Gummow, a fellow swarthy pirate, was excellent in every possible way. His bar back, Rowan, could not have been a better support man. Together, they delivered the kind of service that makes you remember why hospitality is an art form. And the food? Absolutely to die for. My girlfriend had the oxtail, and I had the mock paella. Both were incredible. The service, the food, the environment; every facet was dialed in. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch, possibly dinner, and possibly to inquire about monthly rent. Other employees helped with service, including clearing plates and inquiring if we needed anything. The restaurant is definitely number one at customer service and I loved how everyone worked together. Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not feel lost in the shuffle. It was clean and inviting. They offered an array of choices, so there would be something for everyone if you decide to dine here. The food was good, preparation and display were done carefully, but the taste was overall just ok. The appetizers we chose were Warm Pimento Cheese, which was mildly flavorful, but good, and Prime Beef Carne Apache, which had no flavor at all. The main courses we chose included a pork dish and a chicken dish. The chicken had great flavor, but was placed on a bed of potato wedges which were not all completely cooked through. We felt this took away from the overall dish. The accompanied sauce made with yogurt and poppyseed did not add any flavor to the dish. The pork dish had great flavor. The drinks accompanying the food were made well and tasty. The kids menu has an array of choices as well, and our choice of macaroni and cheese was a hit! We ended with a frozen snicker bar dessert that tasted exactly like a frozen snickers bar. Overall, we had a very nice evening and would definitely visit again.

Only four of us were there as the other two were across the street at Christy's returning their rental skis. There was a table of 6 but the hostess said she couldn't sit us until the other two arrived. Right then, a guy walks up and asks for that same table. He was by himself and she gave the table with six chairs to him. His full party was clearly not there but she sat him anyway. Why is that allowed? Clearly favoritism. And to be clear, two of his friends showed up and the other three never arrived. So, at that point we told the hostess we were now a table of four and she said we could sit at a table that had 3 chairs. Well okay....we took it. We grabbed the table and asked other tables around us for the extra 3 chairs and everyone was nice enough to give us the extra chairs. Our server, Suzanne was excellent. Very attentive, friendly and immediately brought us our drinks and food. The nachos were tasty. Drinks were good but pricy. I give Suzanne 5 stars, food 3 stars hostess 0 stars. Treat everyone fairly and respectfully. The hostess could use customer service training.

One of our friends walked through the bar and noticed the fire pit seating areas were available and asked a server if we could sit there instead. She looked at us and said she would have to ask the hostess if any were available. Clearly they were and they didn't want our group sitting there for some reason. The bar was practically empty so not sure what the issue would be, perhaps it was because we were not hotel guests. After not getting back to us we just sat ourselves outside. Our server was Nivas. Nivas was not overly friendly but she was attentive. We ordered a couple rounds of cocktails. They were pricy but good. The fire pit tables are very nice. Such a relaxing but chic spot to enjoy a meal after being out in the mountains. Our waitress was not overbearing and gave us enough time between bites to take it all in. She also made sure we got the full experience with the hot chocolate to marvel at its glory! The food was excellent, but the butternut squash soup was truly outstanding. It had a beautiful natural sweetness with a subtle hint of apple that made the flavor feel layered and comforting, and the pepitas added the perfect little crunch. It was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. We also ordered the hummus, which tasted incredibly fresh and crisp, light, bright, and perfectly refreshing alongside the richer dishes. But the real star of the experience was the hot chocolate. It was absolutely decadent and comforting, easily one of the best cups of hot chocolate I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and the perfect treat in a snowy Vail setting.
