We ordered a Viking Side by Side refrigerator freezer from Best Buy in Cascade Station Portland on…read moreFebruary 22, 2026, because our existing kitchen aide unit had a leak that could not easily be repaired. Cost with taxes was paid in full for over $13,000. We were originally given a delivery date of 4/4/26 and received no warning of delays. Had we been warned of possible delays, we would have purchased something else given the issues and damage caused by the existing unit. We were told in March that Best Buy needed to reschedule which we did for May 6. We were then told again that Best Buy needed to reschedule which we did for May 27. That appointment also got cancelled by Best Buy and rescheduled for July 6. Then the July 6 got cancelled because they didn't plan for a 4 person delivery team. Finally on July 8 the unit was delivered and the old unit removed. Unfortunately, we were told by the install team after installation that there is a manufacturing flaw in the Viking unit and so the stainless steel doors rub and are grinding deep scratches into both doors. The extensive delays caused damage to our wood floors from the old units leaking which was great effort to contain. And sadly the local Best Buy sales team has now told us that they steer shoppers away from Viking refrigerators because of quality concerns. Since delivery we realized the unit is also missing the bottom kick plate and a few weeks after delivery the ice has stopped working. We scheduled a replacement delivery which was set for August, but weeks later that again was cancelled by Best Buy with a request that we contact them to reschedule. Today we went to Best Buy, ordered a non-Viking unit which is scheduled for delivery in August. Wish us luck.

Clearly demonstrated an unprofessional attitude with regard to not only assisting me (or lack thereof) in the print center, but not wanting to do anything whatsoever from the start. It's one thing to not be able to ship certain items due to what you can legally ship- totally get that. It's quite another to say that you won't ship it because you don't have a return address for the label. Even a hotel address wasn't sufficient. It was evident that Truman didn't want to help me, nor wouldn't despite the efforts of his print employee who actually made an effort to explain things (before Truman interjecting his position). Yet this is apparently how the customer is treated in 2023. Highly recommend not using this Office Depot location, and to strongly consider other options and competitors. Update: I had a very good phone call on 3/16/23 with the district manager (Thomas Crawford) regarding what happened. I really believe that he is sincere in resolving any issue, even during a time of management & employee transition with this store. I 100% believe that he was sincere, and I certainly hope that this store improves in providing customers with viable solutions, and not viewing others as insignificant when it comes to shipping needs. Only 2 runs so far, going to a network closet, but we will likely be adding more at some point. They were able to put the jacks exactly where we wanted, and used a professional faceplate for where the runs terminated in the network closet, as opposed to something open in the wall. They also cleaned up a bunch of non-functional cable from outside the house. Super patient and nice people, and Stephen gave us a lot of options for the install, even though it ended up just being the 2 runs.
