I called today and spoke with Martin. I wasn't sure if I wanted to repair my existing PC, or whether it was time to just buy a new one. Martin spent 25 minutes with me, going over detailed information about my existing PC, and making recommendations on purchasing a new tower. Even after I had decided I was simply going to buy a new tower, he continued assisting me with questions about buying a new one, knowing full well that he was not being paid for that assistance. I will be calling him back, when the new one arrives, so that he can assist me with setting that one up to my specifications. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and clear, and I truly appreciated his help. I called Mench's computer repair because my laptop was giving me the message that it needed a new cooling fan. Martin was able to give me a rough estimate over the phone, and available to meet up the same day, which was great because it was a weekend! When he turned on my computer he got no error message, so he called to let me know. I decided to replace the fan anyway just to be safe, but Martin was honest enough to let me know and let me make the decision myself. The price was very reasonable, and Martin kept me updated with all important info along the way. He cleaned things up a bit, and now I don't get a weird pop-up on start-up. My laptop wasn't working and, not knowing where to get someone to fix it, I turned to Google and just chose someone. Luckily for me, I found the best person possible. When I called Martin, he gave me a couple things that might be wrong, but, of course, couldn't be sure until he had taken a look at the computer. He actually came to my house and told me what he thought was wrong and how long it might take to fix it. He called that same day to tell me what his diagnosis was and the approximate cost. He not only fixed the problem, he went the extra mile and cleaned up the junk that was on my laptop, AND brought it back to my house. His rates are really good and I trust him completely. I have payroll to do and sure enough, yesterday no power. I disassembled everything, got info from the net, cleaned contacts, reseated boards, and on, nothing. Called Martin this Sunday morning and I am working on that machine now, eight hours after I called him. He went out of his way a couple of times and seems to live by a fairly strict code of customer satisfaction. He's easy to talk with and clearly knows his stuff. Martin did a fantastic repair job on my computer. It actually works performs better now than when it was new. Martin cleaned all the junk that was either not needed or was not necessary.
