We traded in our BRZ, and called Sarasota Subaru to start the process of getting back our warranty monies. it has been almost 90 days and we still don't have the money back. After fighting with them, we finally went to the dealership to pick up the checks. we were told they would be ready for us. They still had not cut the checks, or signed them. We have been told by the GM Tim Reeher that this process was our fault, which is was not. it was his finance person's fault Melissa who couldn't do her job correct. This dealership is completely incompetent and only wants to point out faults that they project onto the customer. When I arrived at the dealership at 8:00 AM, Keith asked whether we wanted to wait for the vehicle. After we said we would come back instead, he told us the service would take about 2 hours. I also received an automated text stating that I could text or call that number at any time for an update. After waiting 3 hours, I texted for a status update and received no response. I then called and spoke to someone who said Keith was not at his desk and would call me back. An hour and a half passed with no call. I called again, now more than 5.5 hours later, and spoke to a different employee who also could not get in touch with Keith. At that point, I told them I was coming to pick up my car in 20 minutes. When my husband and I arrived, Keith was sitting at the front desk with my keys. When I asked what was going on, he said the car had been inspected, lifted, and driven 7 miles, and that no issues were found. He then said he was planning to have his manager drive it next and would let me know afterward. I asked for my keys back and left immediately. Once we got home, I remembered the mileage photo I had taken that morning. The mileage was now 24,337 miles, meaning only 3 miles had been added, which were from my husband and me driving to and from the dealership. The dealership did not drive my car at all, let alone for a 7‑mile test drive. This means Keith clearly lied, both to us and on company records. That is extremely unprofessional and completely destroys trust. Vehicle service depends on honesty and transparency, and this dealership demonstrated neither. We have zero confidence in their service department and will never return or recommend this location.

The finance manager got us a 72 month loan at a very low interest with PNC Bank. We asked if we could get a 72 month warranty to cover truck bumper to bumper till the truck is paid off, the manager told us it is covered but the payment will go up a little over the term of the loan. Well our truck engine light came on, DEF tank level sensor went bad yesterday 12-19-25. Checked our Zurich service warranty on what to do, found the contract Carol GMC was out of date. The Finance Manager lied, this contract started when the truck was manufactured in 2019, we didn't own it till 2021, lost half the warranty before we took ownership. Called dealership today, they said he made a mistake but for 4k more, we could add the extra three years, we lost everything in Hurricane Ian but truck and camper and retired with little income. Do Not Purchase anything from this lying dealership. Lie, lie, lie, hope their senior parents don't get cheated on like we did. I bought a 2014 Mazda5 from them in December and it's obvious that no inspection was done of this vehicle before they sold it to me. It has been in the shop about as much as it has been on the road since I owned. Sure they could play it off by saying they did an inspection and there must be another newly developed issue but would it explain a completely bald spare tire. I'm talking slick, no treads at all. Well, live and learn. Hopefully you will all learn from my mistake
