Very Professional, Fast, Clean, and Courteous. We had our new double oven delivered on a Friday, called PDQ and figured we'd have to wait several days or a week for an installation date. Nothing of the sort. They had the very next morning between 8:30 - 10:30 open, which we took. Harry, the installer, called in the morning and informed us that they were on their way and we'd be their first stop. By 8:45 they were at our door. At the referral of RSSA Home Improvement in Anaheim and after looking at Yelp reviews, we used PDQ Appliance Installers to change out our 20 year old cooktop and downdraft ventilation system for a new Windcrest Cooktop and Faber downdraft with an external blower. Roy visited our home twice to confirm the feasibility of our installation as the space was very tight and there were concerns with external clearances and potential in wall obstructions. We had several conversations over a period of several weeks both on phone and via email. Careful measurement and checking of installation diagrams and specifications revealed the job could be accomplished but with only about 1/16th of an inch to spare. On installation day Roy arrived promptly and completed a beautiful job without any difficulties. He is a real craftsman and I can highly recommend him for both his competence and friendly manner. We called Roy to replace an existing wall-mount vent hood with a newer, larger Vent-A-Hood. He and his helper, Bob, came out and replaced duct work in the attic, installed a new outside damper, and then...we discovered that there was a slight dent in the hood. We had to send it back, wait for a replacement, and then have Roy come out a second time and finish the job. Roy and Bob were both very careful, very thorough, and Roy clearly had a lot of knowledge and experience. Their workmanship was excellent. In spite of having to make two trips, the cost for installation was the one originally quoted, which was very reasonable. We purchased an Imperial Stove hood, it is almost 2 years old and the switch for the fan went out. Luckily, the fan is under warranty and we contact Imperial and they sent out Roy L. Rice from PDQ Appliance Installers, Inc. Mr. Rice was so great! He kept us apprised of when he was coming and then when he was 30 min away from our home. He said he's installed over 10,000 hoods and has been in business for a very, very long time! He said even his son is doing the same thing. PDQ drove up to Santa Clarita from Anaheim to fix a disaster of an outdoor grill hood and vent system install. Spoke with Barbara on the phone who was very nice and professional. Roy and Joe wound up having to come back up three times to fix the system as the first time the hood stack was damaged during shipping and we didn't see it until we pulled it out of the box. When Roy and Joe came back to start the new stack repair, the job wound up taking longer than anticipated because the original contractor did such a horrible job. Roy and Joe were very professional and it was obvious that they have been installing hood and vent systems for a very long time. They were both very courteous and ensured that the job site was cleaned after each day. A couple of weeks after the job was finished, I received a text from Roy out of the blue, stating that he wanted to come to raise the roof vent because he was concerned that water from an impending storm might splash down in to the vent, causing damage to the electrical system in the exhaust fan. Again, he drove up from Anaheim, gratis, and spent a couple of hours reconfiguring a higher roof vent. It was an install that required widening the current opening and fixing the cupboards and drawers on the sides to accommodate the extra width. I wasn't sure how that would work. We recently had Roy and Lawrence remove our 15 year old porcelain sink and replace it with a stainless steel double unit. They worked carefully to remove our heavy, peeling cast iron mess that was embedded in granite. Other contractors urged us to have it sprayed but after two sprays and endless peeling, we were ready to take a chance on getting our sink extracted from its stone prison. We feel fortunate to have discovered Roy because of his attitude and confidence when tackling difficult projects. The two men spent nearly three days removing and installing the sinks along with a garbage disposal. The end result was fabulous. We are delighted with our shiny new addition. I had an old 1960's-1970's Gaffers and Sattler electric double oven that unfortunately went bad and everything built today is a different size than it was 50 years ago. I reached out to PDQ and Roy responded and came out a few days later to give me an estimate. He came out and took measurements and made sure the new ovens we wanted to get would fit. He had to drop the shelf as the newer ones were taller and also had add some side fillers as the newer one was a little narrower. John and his assistant Nathan installed my new gas range and range hood. 5 stars is not enough! This installation was not your typical "slide out/slide in" deal that could be done by a normal retail appliance store because 1) our quartz countertop extended into the moving area by a couple of inches, 2) we needed to move the gas line and 3) we had questionable venting on our range hood. No problem for these two! We could get all of this done without having to call multiple contractors! Hooray!!! Getting the old range out was a breeze! The gas line needed to be moved to accommodate the cut-out of the new range. I requested access to the shut-off valve so I wouldn't have to move the range. John came up with a solution to go through the cabinet next to the range AND still allowed me access to the inside shelf that I needed. Every connection was thoroughly tested, and they kept the area clean and dust-free (frequently using their portable shop-vac). Installing the new, heavier range was done with precision. Their care in adjusting the legs allowed the range to fit very neatly against the back wall without a gap! This pro-style range fits far better than our former free-standing stove. They tested it and showed me all the basic features. John's attention to customer service goes well beyond 5 stars! We had picked up our range hood from the manufacturer at "will call" and unfortunately the wrong hood had been placed in the box. We didn't know this until John inspected the hood while accessing the overall project. With John's relationships with the manufacturer, he called them directly on our behalf, explained the situation with our documentation and his camera photos. Voila! the manufacturer replaced the hood and John picked it up for us. John took extra care to ensure the range hood was installed and sealed properly. We agreed about leaving the existing venting that has partial galvanized steel and corrugated steel (but code compliant from an earlier time) in order not to create an unintended consequence from cutting through drywall in the attic area. He advised us of what to watch out for, how to clean the filters, etc. I know this is a long review. To reciprocate for PDQ's attention to detail and to my satisfaction requires that I give them full acknowledgement of their great work! Next time I need an appliance installed, I wouldn't call anyone else! read more

PDQ gave me an appointment for Saturday, January 10, and I was delighted they were willing to come up to Los Angeles to help me correct the consequences of a poorly installed Asko dishwasher. Roy, the technician, called me the evening before the appointment to confirm the arrival time range. On Saturday, Roy called to let me know his estimated arrival time. He was exactly on time. He assessed the problem with the installation done 2 years ago and quickly went to work, taking care to protect the flooring. Great experience with PDQ. Roy and Mike were personable and kind. After opening the box the microwave came in, they determined that the microwave was damaged and should not be installed. When Roy let me know this, I asked if they would wait 30 minutes while I went to go buy another microwave. Roy agreed to wait. Who does that?!?! Roy and Mike waited patiently and when I brought the new microwave they were both gracious and kind with their words and demeanor. I did not get the feeling that I was inconveniencing them at all. To put this in perspective, this all happened at 5:30pm on a weekday. I am sure they were both ready to go home to their family but they displayed beyond excellent customer service. He called before to make sure he had all the correct materials for installation and showed up on time. It ended up that the wiring was in the wrong location, electrician error, and he showed us what needed to be done before the hood could be installed.
