So, they won't come out until the cabinets are installed. When I called to set the appointment, I mentioned that once the cabinets are installed, it will be too late to make changes, but they insisted. So, after cabinets were installed we had to wait 2 weeks for the appointment for the "pre install inspection". As soon as he walks in the front door, he has a chip on his shoulder. Maybe the stairs were a bit more than what he expected. Up he goes with his tape measure. He has issues with the area of where the fridge and freezer go. He has issues with where the cooktop will go. I take the dog out for a walk, so he can do his "inspection". After coming back, and since he had more issues, I put him on the phone with the cabinet maker so the cabinet maker can explain some things to him. He said he doesn't like "the vibe" and said he doesn't want to do the job and find someone else. Well, we found someone else and saved $3000 ! How unprofessional !! Is this how the gen z do business ? His attitude is not worthy of "high end homes". Also, please learn grammar and proof read you yelp blurb. read more

I recently purchase a kitchen hood and needed an installer to set up the venting for the hood. I called so many appliance companies and contractors and no one seemed able to do it. SoCal Appliances was up to the task. They were perfect in every way. Extremely attentive and had great communication. They gave me a narrow window of only 1-hour. All these other companies are doing 4-hour windows where you have to waste half the day. Most important they under promised and over delivered. They quoted me an estimated cost and ended up charging half the estimate. Needless to say I gave them a tip. Really when a company over delivers on their price, they deserve a tip up to the original estimate. I'll be using them again. If you need Hood Venting, this company does it. I worked with SO CAL appliance some time ago. I wanted them to install a Miele refrigerator with custom panels. The first installer did not install them correctly. I really wanted them flushed, as they should be, but that was not done. For that first installation, I would give them 3 stars. I spoke with the owner and he said that he would work with me. The owner claimed that the appliance was not flushed due to the woodworker's fault and the woodworker said the same for the refrigerator installer. SO CAL's owner made an agreeement with me. He said that he would be held responsible if his previous worker did not install the refrigerator correctly. If the problem was not his fault, the re-installation would have to come out of my pocket. I wanted to move forward, so I agreed. Now, I give them 5 stars because Gus and his partners came last week and did an AMAZING installation. The previous installer just did not have the finesse that Gus did and so those small details affected the refrigerator, hence not allowing it to be flushed. Gus worked on all that. I mean this guy pays attention to detail. You can tell that Gus loves his job and he has also been doing this for years. In the end the owner kept his word and I did not have to pay for the re-installation. I am thankful for Gus and his years of experience. I do believe the kitchen is the heart of the home and it is one of the most important rooms in the home. Please ask for Gus to get your appliances installed with SO CAL. read more

I started remodeling my kitchen over a year ago pretty much a solo project between building cabinets installing windows and raising the ceiling I was finally ready to have the appliances installed. While I felt comfortable trying to tackle the installations on my own I feared having no recourse if I opened a box only to find some damage, pre inspection of the units was way to inconvenient as to the shear amount of boxes and the space they took up. The delivery date had the potential to be well before the installation, so I didn't want to risk something getting scratched before I even got it installed. I felt having Pacific Sales set up delivery and installation took all the responsibility off of my shoulders. Communications as to the appointment where thorough and started just days after the delivery date was set. Jose Pachecano was my installer, he contacted me days prior to my appointment time to make sure I had the ductwork on hand to complete the installation with the intent to secure the necessary parts if need be, arrived on time and with an assistant. I'm a tool guy, so I was impressed when he showed up equipped for every eventuality and incredibly organized, if a tool was not in its place he knew instantly. He came with a extensive hardware selection, never had to make a Home Depot run (something I do multiple time for the simplest project). One of the many things that impressed be was the amount of money he spent out of his own pocket on tools use solely to protect my floors, walls and appliances. The job entailed a full kitchen, range hood, range, dishwasher and a column refrigerator freezer, drawer microwave install put off until I built the island. At no time did Jose rush through anything he took the same care I would have, he didn't move on until he was completely happy with everything. The job was not without its challenges, the cabinet spacing (36) was exactly what the range hood required, but the hood that was supposed to come in at 35 15/16 was a fat 36 Jose got it in with zero scratches to the cabinetry. I've seen jobs where the installer refused to drill holes through tile or granite, so in anticipation I was prepared to make any holes needed he assured me that any holes needed would not be a problem. Jose worked through small issues that arose without missing a beat, the time he took was more than appropriate for the quality of job he was doing. Having read all the installation documents many times, (my short term memory stinks) due to the nuances of each appliance and its connection location and spacing requirements, I could see that the hardest part would be the column refrigerator freezer install and it was. Early on in the day when Jose was setting up the order of installations he informed me that the refrigerator would take every bit of 2 1/2 hours and then some, he was right. Jose started the day at 11:30 AM and was putting the last handfuls of packing trash in the back of his truck at at 11:30 PM. Twelve hours, during this time his positive attitude never wavered, he showed up with a smile on his face and left the same way. To me it's always been a crap shoot when you research people to do work for you, you rarely know who they're going to send out to your home, while I'm extremely confident in giving Jose a 5 star review it is my hope that he is reflecting the standard that is set by the entire company. read more

These dudes Manny and Miguel just flat-out blew me away. I lined them up to install a built-in fridge up in the Hollywood Hills (far from their home base). 1 They contacted me early this morning to confirm a window of time. 2 They showed up during that window. 3 They said "dude your outlet isn't wired with finish so we can't install...but we can come back later today or wire it now for $125 #mindblown . A problem that is delivered with an immediate solution is basically the lottery when dealing with tradesman. 4 I opted out of their $125 and made my electrician finish what he started and Socal said "we want to finish today so we will be back"! 5 I get a text at 830pm and he says "hey boss we're here....whats code to get in?! AT 830PM!! Code was gladly given over and one hour later I was sent photos of my beautiful fridge along with my beautiful new install team. Can't recommend this company enough. The entire team and process was a great experience. We purchased a washer and dryer from Pacific Sales. The first installation was cancelled as the washer was damaged. We had a second installation but the washer was again delivered damaged. The third installation went very well. Through this frustrating experience the install team was professional and pleasant. In fact they reported the damage of the items and halted installation. The installation cost was competitive but well worth the cost considering their attention to detail customer first attitude. I usually don't write reviews but these guys were amazing. I had the installer from a well known company refuse install of a fridge and range because they said it was too tight and they wouldn't fit. These guys were delivering my dishwasher at the same time and they said that they would be able to make it fit. The other original installers left everything in my garage and the guys from SoCal Appliance got everything in and installed like it should have been done in the first place. They were great. I needed to remove an old washer-dryer in order to paint the laundry room before the new washer-dryer arrives. I found this company via Pacific Sales that gave me a list of contractors their customers had said were great. I then searched for reviews on each of these contractors and decided that SoCal Appliance Installations had the best reviews for the work that I needed. I called to make an appointment and spoke with Amy who was wonderfully helpful. My condo association requires that we only hire contractors that are licensed and insured, and Amy assured me that this company is. She was able to squeeze me into their busy schedule the following week. Two young men arrived on time with all the right equipment. They were knowledgeable, polite, thoughtful, and efficient. In particular, I noted how careful they were to maneuver the washer and dryer out of my condo and into the elevator in a manner that assured no damage at all to walls or door jambs. Remarkably, our experience with SoCal started off well. I called for an urgent removal of our Sub-zero after a water leak, and SoCal arrived promptly, removed the SubZero, and accepted reimbursement on the spot for the uninstallation, storage, and future reinstallation when repairs were completed. The installer was professional. Four months later, I called to request the return of our SubZero. The employee at SoCal promised a delivery date, assured me I would get a call in advance, and when I did not and called for clarification, she told me I had the date wrong. Fortunately, she had texted me the delivery date - everything was in writing - so I corrected her. She then assured me the delivery would occur between 2 and 4pm on the original date. At 2:15, she called to tell me that after being in storage, our SubZero was riddled with mold. She indicated that we had had mold on the outside previously and that the inside and outside were now moldy after being in their storage warehouse for several months. She asked if they should deliver the Subzero inside our house or to our lawn. I declined both options for obvious reasons. The next day she texted me that the cost to clean the refrigerator would be $500. We spoke to our insurance company who told us that, although the mold was legally the responsibility of the company, the insurance company would pay the $500 because they did not see another way to get the SubZero back promptly, and we needed to move back into our kitchen after being out for such a prolonged period. They advised us that they would need photographs to prove the mold existed. We requested these in writing, but SoCal did not initially send the photos. My husband made additional requests to them, and 3+ days later we received the photos. That same day he requested a written invoice, per our insurance company's request, and a delivery date. What ensued was 9 days of our texting and calling, asking - then imploring them - for the invoice. Even our insurance representative called on our behalf. Despite repeated promises from SoCal that the invoice would arrive immediately - "within an hour," etc. - SoCal did not send it. This left our repairs paralyzed and us still unable to move back into our kitchen. Finally, after 9 days, my husband received a text from SoCal at 10:37pm on a Saturday night with a photograph of an invoice but no delivery date. My husband continued to request a delivery date - sustained texts, phone calls - to SoCal. We were eventually promised a new delivery date - 3 full weeks after the initial delivery date - and on the promised day, SoCal did not deliver our SubZero. My husband texted and called them repeatedly throughout the day, but we waited at home again for naught. The next day - 22 days after our original delivery date - the Subzero was delivered to our home. There was mold everywhere - on the sides, the back, throughout the freezer and the inside of the refrigerator. (See attached photos "After SoCal's $500 mold cleaning.") The SoCal employee told us that he was told the rest of the mold could not be removed. Because of a problem with our new cabinets, the Subzero could not be installed that day. (This was not the fault of SoCal.) This was fortunate because we were able to readily clean the mold ourselves with a rag and a chlorine product. (See attached photos "Later, after we cleaned the SubZero ourselves.") So, in fact, the rest of the mold could easily be removed. When the installer returned the following week (after the cabinet was tailored), I asked him to call the owner to make sure the insurance company should pay the $500 since a $500 cleaning job was not done. The installer called the owner and - despite the fact that we completed the mold remediation ourselves - he said that the owner still wanted the $500. We sent photos to our insurance company so we were not complicit. read more

We Just had SoCal Appliance Installers install our new Hestan grill. Jose and his helper David did an amazing job. Jose had to modify our built-in BBQ island to accommodate the new grill as the location originally had a smaller DCS grill. He measured multiple times to insure that the cuts into the concrete were perfect. He had to remove 6" of concrete on both sides of the location to handle not only the new grill but the larger cabinet that matched. He had to also cut through the tile work on top of the island to allow the new grill to slide into place. Needless to say I would highly recommend SoCal and Jose to do an excellent job. Moving is never fun! I was dreading having to figure out how I was going to move a washer, pedestal washer and dryer from one upstairs location to another. From the time that I contacted SoCal Appliance the experience was great. Katie, we extremely responsive and was able to quickly coordinate the process. Lee & Marcus were great. They called 20 minutes before arriving and were right on time as scheduled. They delivered and installed a washer & dryer set upstairs in our condo. They were very careful to make sure the appliances didn't scratch or damage the walls while carrying it up the long narrow stairs. They tested the washer and dryer after installing them to make sure they ran without a problem. Including checking for leaks and making sure the drain was placed so it would not spill over while pumping water. If I ever need any kitchen, bath or laundry appliance service again, I'll be giving them a call. read more

After purchasing our appliances, we got setup for delivery and installation. I was contacted by Amy from SoCal Appliance Installations to confirm the date of installation and cost. There's always some concern on the quality of installation but as soon as Leo and Jesse showed up, those concerns were quickly alleviated. They arrived on time and immediately got to work. Leo did a quick assessment of the kitchen and immediately knew there was a concern with the dishwasher opening. Aside from the concern, Leo and Jesse were able to install the appliances that were able to be installed. They had the proper tools for installation and kept their workspace neat and cleaned up after themselves. They noticed some damage to knobs to the range and the door to the wine fridge. Leo reported the damage and started to process to obtain replacements. After they left, Amy followed up regarding the uninstalled appliances. We made the dishwasher opening wider, received the replacement knobs and wine fridge door was ordered. After all items were in, once again, Amy followed up and set a date for Leo and Jesse to come back. Within a day, Leo and Jesse were back and installed the remaining appliances. My wife (most importantly) and I are extremely pleased with the work Leo and Jesse did. They completed our dream kitchen. Absolutely professional and knowledgeable. Amy was great too!
