I thought I didn't like PDQ, but maybe it was just a coincidence of bad service and food in the past. I've gone a few times more recently and the tenders are always the freshest. I rate PDQs tenders over all others in the area. They really are great. PDQ also offers you unlimited sauce for your chicken unlike some other places that will literally ask for your sauce back if you ask for a different one. Sauce should be free. Have eaten here many times over the years, past few times in the past month. Always great . Today was a different story. Came in with 2 families. Literally stood at the register for 5 full minutes as the uou manager had his back to us. Other kitxhen employees saw us yet said nothing. Finally a nice young man comes to take our order. The manager was horrible our entire visit. Left our food sitting in the window till i finally came up to ask about it. His attitude was garbage. Our food was not correct and when i asked him about it, he gave more attitude. Compared to the taller manager with a beard who is normally here when we visit, this guy is not a good representative of this location. Food was good once we got it and it was corrected. Multiple ppl had to walk up over the time we ate, to get their food. Trays sitting there. No names called. Just had to come pick up your food. Though the tenders are a little bland, I love any restaurant that supplies me with fresh food. In my opinion, it's 100% sort the money. Their sauces aren't ALL great, but the variety is nice and I love the option to try them all without having tp pay for my sauce (looking at you, Zaxbys!). They're also wicked fast, despite frying your chicken fresh to-order. Add in the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant (I've never had a bad experience!) and this place is great. A little tip, try the cole slaw. I keep really trying to like this place... The sauce options, with chicken fingers and great fries.... But the chicken fingers always seem so close to undercooked. Sometimes the breading falls off (which doesn't mean undercooked ) ... So the breading texture . However the smaller chicken fingers seem close to undercooked and some of the thicker ones, sometime actually have a very medium-steak fleshy type of texture. I've come to this location before, and the food this visit was better the second time around . It can get busy, so be prepared to wait a little bit to place your order and receive your order. The sandwiches are a good choice, and the bowls are some of my favorites for healthy choices. The chicken in the sandwiches are crispy and lightly battered, but not heavy. The fries could be improved in the crispiness, but have plenty of salt. I was surprised by how flavorful the Jasmine unsweetened tea was, and I think it is a new favorite of mine! I would also recommend the milkshakes, which are made fresh with chunks of candy or cookie, depending on which flavor you choose. I finally got to drive tru this location with my daughter. We bought a family meal, some wachos ( lol) a salad and apple pie shake. We got our meal and had ordered plenty of sauces because it was the large family dinner. When we got home we unpacked everything and we had literally 2 small sauces per flavor ordered. Salad was perfect, the wachos are waffle fries with cheese and bacon. Lityle expensive for what they are and not the grestest, the chicken tenders are as great as always. I had the CALI CLUB CHICKEN SANDWICH, Grilled chicken served on brioche bun with ranch, crispy bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato. I will defiantly get this again. My first visit I was amazed at the tenderness of the nuggets, moist and juicy. My second visit not quite so much but still very good. I haven't decided which sauce option I like best yet but I definitely like to come here for lunch. Update: I spoke with the manager of the Julington Creek store (great guy!) about this horrible experience and he took my contact info so that someone from corporate with some responsibility might call me. Well, two weeks and still waiting. It seems clear that lack of responsiveness starts at the top here. Piss poor service and lazy staff clenot being supervised. This is truly the opposite of quality and service found at the PDQ on SR13. In our 35 minute visit we found NO ice, NO forks, NO lids for drinks and watched a lazy employee wander back and forth around the restaurant occassionally wiping one side of a table but nothing more. What a bother we were to dare ask him to finf us ice, forks and lid drinks. Not to be found I guess in 35 minutes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PDQ! read more

I've been visiting this PDQ since it opened. In the beginning it was very clean and neat. After about a year or two it's become more and more sloppy. Floors are always dirty and the tables on barely wiped. During the pandemic I didn't see them attentive to wiping the tables, chairs and booths down after customers leave. It's sad because the food is good. I prefer the drive through more than sitting in. It's just not sanitary. There needs to be more attention to cleaning and sanitizing the seating areas. The floors under the tables are nasty. PDQ you can do better and you know better. Get it together. read more

A few coworkers and I were fortunate enough to be welcomed to their soft launch. Everything here is so fresh and made in house (sauces, salads, etc). You can definitely taste the quality ingredients, they have no freezers so you know their products are always fresh. I had the spicy buffalo chicken tender sandwich and for a side I had the blueberry coleslaw. The chicken was lightly fried and the sauce had a nice kick but nothing too spicy. The coleslaw was great and had tons of blueberries. I will be definitely be back for lunch. You can't go wrong with this place! read more

We love chicken in this family. So we were excited to try a new chicken place while we were on this side of town. The place is big and I really love the high ceilings. The restaurant was clean and well taken care of. In s Great location close to the freeway and shopping. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich w/ fries which was very good. The buffalo sauce is creamy and mild spicy. The fries were okay. They were shoe string style under cooked in my opinion. I had a side of ranch which I wasn't overly trilled about but my husband really really liked it. I was told they make all there sauces in house. My husband had chicken tenders and my daughter had chicken nuggets. Their chicken is juicy and tastes really good! I'm giving this place 4 out of 5 stars because I have had better chicken. I really do like this place but it's not a favorite. If you are in the area it's a good stop but I won't be driving across town for their food here. read more

When this location first opened, it was fantastic. I'm not sure what changed, besides their menu, but it sucks big time. I have never experienced so many issues from a location before. I don't know why I keep going back either. Maybe I'm hoping something will change. As another yelp reviewer mentioned about someone walking around aimlessly, I know exactly who they are talking about. Anyways, I've had my meal be wrong a few times, which sometimes I didn't care, I just dealt with it. But when I experience really poor service, well that's not ok by me. While in the drive thru with a co-worker, I asked very nicely for an extra side of ranch for myself, my order. I had a 2nd order, and asked for some ranch, and some buffalo blue sauce. The reply I received was "it's in the bag" followed by the window being slammed shut. I patiently waited for the 2nd order & to ask for the sauce again. She was still nasty to me. If this had been McDonalds, someone would have thrown something at her, but it's not. I did let management know about that incident and the order was still not correct. The manager took down my name & info to send me some meal vouchers. I never got them. I went back a few weeks later and apparently that manager was no longer there & someone else came in. He just gave me a giftcard. I came back a few times and dined in. The tables looked like they hadn't been cleaned. But yet the guy aimlessly walking around half-a** wiping down tables. I got my own paper towel & wiped down my table. Today my co-worker went up to get our lunch today. We ordered 1 chicken tender meal with fries, the other 1 chicken tender meal with tots. He brings it back to work, they only had 1 container of chicken, a container of tots, and a container of soggy fries. We tried to call multiple times (34) to let them know, and no one picked up and the voicemail box was full. He drives all the way back to get his chicken, and lets them know about how no one is answering the phone. The lady told him that it was "broken". Well, she ended up giving him his chicken, then she went back into the office to get some vouchers for a next meal, since it was a major inconvenience. While she was in the office, he called the # for this location and she picked up the phone. So no, it's not broken, that was a lie. I understand maybe being busy, but don't lie. She then said "oh I have some vouchers in my car" so she goes out to her car to get them. Why are they in your car? Are you giving them out to your friends? Are you using them for yourself at other locations? No wonder they aren't in the office because employees are using them. She gave us 6 coupons, where 4 out of the 6 are expired. Like I stated previously, this location used to be amazing. The food was always great, and it was a pleasant experience. Now you get poor quality, nasty rude people & just people who don't seem to care. If you don't care, go work somewhere else. We don't even want to come back to this location just because of the issues we have. Whomever owns this location needs to get better management. You don't need someone who micromanages people, but someone who actually knows how to manage people. read more

I'd seen the mixed reviews here on Yelp for PDQ but when I found myself nearby at lunch time, I decided to give it a shot. The thing that probably bugged me the most is the fact that their drive thru is not set up like most. You pull up to the menu board (which, given the fact that I'd never had their food I need some time with) but you do not order there. You pull a little further to a window and order and pay to an actual person (but now you have no menu board to look at). I understand it in the sense that it's annoying when people do the "uh, uh, uh" to the person over the speaker while they decide with a "typical" set up but given that I was unfamiliar with the menu and had a hard time deciding between the Caesar salad and the grilled chicken sandwich, I still did the "uh, uh, uh" when I got to the window to order. I was in line long enough that I was able to pull up the Yelp page and saw a comment that the Caesar salad was salty so I went with the grilled chicken sandwich. It comes with honey mustard, which I don't like so I asked for ketchup instead. The young women who helped me at both windows were very friendly, which is always a nice plus at a fast food place. When I dug into my food a bit later I wasn't impressed but I also wasn't especially disappointed. Taste wise, I found the sandwich not nearly as good as a Chickfila grilled sandwich (not as much flavor) but better than Zaxby's recent grilled chicken sandwich. The fries were very good, I wished I'd thought to ask for some type of ketchup or sauce to dip them in. I've been to this location multiple times now and a two things stand out for me every time. 1. The service here is top notch. The employees are friendly and efficient. I don't leave with the wrong order and the food is always hot and fresh. 2. Food is usually pretty good, but one thing that I dislike is that the last couple of times I've gotten the nuggets the breading is so incredibly thick that I just end up tearing the majority of it off as it's kind of gross to be honest. For me the fries are just a miss as they are so incredibly soggy and flaccid. If you are crispy fries person then move on. I like this place. When I want fried chicken I can go here because it's close to home and the prices are decent, especially with the happy hour shake deal and if you eat late you can get a tenders or nuggets meal for $5. My dad and I went in here today for a quick bite. The girls working the register were rude to say the least and looked like they would have rather been anywhere else on the planet than serving us. As we were looking at the menu deciding what we wanted I realized there was a lady behind us so I politely told her to go ahead of us. The girls at the register looked at each other and me as if I had 3 heads. I guess we were taking too long to decide as it had been a few years since either one of us had eaten at a PDQ. I am in the service industry so I tried to be polite and smile when the girl took our order...nothing. Just cold and rude as far as I'm concerned. While waiting for our food my dad decided he wanted lemonade and told me that one of the girls looked at him like he was inconveniencing her when he asked her for some (the lemonade is behind the counter). The chicken nuggets were subpar and I didn't taste any hint of the supposed honey marinade. The only thing I can say was really good was the chocolate chip cookie to be honest. The sweet sriracha sauce wasn't too bad either. Please PDQ...do yourself a favor and hire people who want to treat each customer with the friendly respect they deserve. We were just normal, nice customers paying to eat there and I honestly felt completely unwelcome. Happy to have a new fast, fresh option in the Bartram area! I was able to visit during a soft launch during lunch. I was really impressed with how everything is fresh made...including the sauces. They have no freezers. I tried a turkey breast sandwich with fries. The turkey was seasoned well, and generously sliced, with lettuce and cranberry sauce. The fries were fresh cut. You can definitely taste it. I also tried the Cheerwine. ..like Dr. Pepper...only better. Also tried a hand spun oreo milkshake. AWESOME! The interior is open and bright. Very welcoming. Don't get it. Owners invested millions on the concept, the real estate, the buildings and puts out the worst tasting chicken fingers since the mc nuggets were created. Tried the grilled chicken fingers on a Caesar Salad on my first visit...I can't describe the taste except that they tasted harsh...not a pleasing flavor at all. I thought it was just me since the place was packed and folks seemed to be enjoying their food. Also looked like most folks had ordered the fried fingers so I chalked it up to a bad day and would give it another try. Well, sorry to say that their fried chicken fingers were no better. Alright, so after saying never again, a decision was made to give PDQ another go. 2nd trip was much better than the first. Salad ingredients were crisp and the tenders were fresh. I have to say, the tenders are great. Some of the better tenders around rivaling those of other competing establishments and doing an excellent job at that. The Crispy Buffalo Blue sandwich is very good too. My wife liked it so much that she wanted to have it again the next night! Fries. They are still a problem for us. Even after asking if the fries were going to be fresh, because of the first oil soaked experience and explaining what happened, we were told "They are always fresh". Ok then. Try them. Still greasy, just not soaked. And they were old. Floppy. Just not good. Lastly, seems like grumpiest people are always at the register.
