Wow! As I am a frequent customer of the PDQ chicken chains I must say I've had an experience unlike like before. While the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, I cannot say the same for the food. My coworker and I both got chicken tenders (one of the orders were spicy) with fries and we were greeted by the most absurd thing. Normally the "spicy" part of the chicken tenders are mixed into the batter, causing them to have a lovely flavor that melts in your mouth. However, this time, it was regular chicken tenders coated after being made. They were then placed on top of the fries with an extremelt salty seasoning that caused us to take the breading off to make the chicken as pleasant as it can be eating while a naked chicken tender. In addition, the plain tenders lacked flavor so it was two drastic ends of the spice levels. Quite the dilemma. The employees seemed to have smiling faces that but the food made the experience a bit exasperating.

What a pleasant surprise! PDQ Restaurants have the most delicious fresh chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, French fries, and chocolate milk shakes with whip creme and a cherry on top!! The Diet drinks are sweet and well carbonated. The service is outstanding! The drive thru is absolutely amazing with zero wait time after paying! I just learned something! PDQ stands for People Dedicated to Quality and Tim Tebow, a terrific role model and UF Heisman Winner 2007, is an investor! If you haven't visited a PDQ give them a try as you'll be glad you did!

All the breading that fell off 2 tenders....

I normally LOOOVE PDQ but something happened to their chicken tenders... I'd suggest ONLY getting nuggets. The chicken inside the tender is good - but the breading FALLS off in big chunks. This is the breading from 2 tenders - salty, hard, and gooey inside.

Wonderful food and service and we pretty much go there as family every Sunday afternoon. The service is fast, and the food is fresh and well presented. I love the fact that they bring the food to our table ( unlike the loop ) and is a great blessing if you are with your family or a mom with kids. The restaurant has clean bath rooms and taken care of. Personally I am on health food streak and love the salads. The Mediterranean salad is the best in my opinion and very well presented and fresh ( in my opinion much better than Chick-fil-A's salads..) I love the zucchini fries are back and were served hot !! I love the out side farm sink and miss the yardley soap as I thought it made the restaurant unique. We almost never use the drive thru as we usually like to sit down over there and eat and recommend this place as sometime going to Chick-fil-A is overcrowded and saves time ...

Grilled chicken sandwich with zucchini fries. They even make their own sauces...this place is magical!

"You're the meaning in my life, you're the inspiration..." I've been living here for about 3 years now and have always passed by this place, sitting in the shadows like a shy girl at the dance. Well, this girl is ready to turn up 7 days a week! I would almost compare this place to another beloved chicken sandwich place, but there's something more personal about it, which makes me like it more. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Chelsea, who was the first employee that I encountered in my new "barnyard pimp" adventure. The saying about first impressions is very true because she left such a positive one that I'm sure I'm a customer for life! She gave me the skinny on how everything worked and not to mention all their house made sauces. I havseen her in awhile, so hopefully that exemplary employee is still there. All of the staff is great, so I don't want to leave the rest out. I digress. The chicken always seems extremely fresh and their sauces need a moment of silence. I have a tub of that sweet Sriracha in my refrigerator right now. They have waffle fries, sweet potato fries and if you're not into potatoes, zucchini fries - they're all delicious. So, if you're late to the game like me, check this place out. They're open everyday, even Sunday!

Always a must go-to when we're in town. The chicken is consistently good. It is extremely quick. (Twice we have gotten the food before we finished paying). There is also a place to wash your hands in the middle of the restaurant, which is a pretty neat touch. The seats are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the food is good. I only remember ever having one issue there, and they took care if it really quickly without any issues. So glad they opened up near the house.

Excellent fast food. The tenders and nuggets are the signature items and are delicious. Real chicken, lightly breaded and fried to Golden perfection. Dip and repeat! Do explore beyond ketchup because the store made sauces are great. The creamy garlic and BBQ are my favs. Want a little heat, the sweet Sriracha is good. I can vouch for the crispy chicken salad. I add fresh avacado and bacon. So I'm not saving many calories here, but it's salad and you are eating veggies like Mom said. I really like the bowls too. The Thai Peanut Crispy Chicken bowl. It has crispy chicken with broccoli, mango salsa, peanuts & toasted coconut on rice with homemade Thai peanut sauce. My current favorite healthier meal. The Queso Crunch bowl has crispy chicken, black beans, chile-lime corn, salsa verde, grape tomatoes, queso drizzle, scallions, fritos, and rice. Two more things. The cookies are crazy good. And something called totchos. Crispy tots with queso, cheese, bacon and I don't know, maybe crack. They are addictive and diet crushing.

Great place for quick meal everyone can agree on. My kids love the tenders meal and I get the grilled chicken sandwich with fresh crunchy lettuce, homemade pickles, tomato YUM!! The employees are so helpful and always smiling. The place is very clean. We love this little gem close to home.

PDQ Saint Johns, just south of Jacksonville, is a clean and well managed restaurant. The famous chicken fingers are tasty and delightful. The salads are tasty and somewhat larger than Chik-Fil-A but smaller than Zaxby's. The sauces are individually packaged and premium. The staff seems to be mostly high school kids but they are respectful and helpful. As with every and any take out these days; check your order, sometimes they forget a sauce. They focus on quality and taste.

Apples and toffee! Worth stopping for a meal.

Whoever the genius is behind the Pimento Crunch sandwich, give that guy a raise! I've tried a lot of different items from this restaurant, but this is my favorite on the menu! Also, I love their apples and toffee. It's a different side, but it's delicious and healthier. Their fries are delicious, so I order the apples and take her fries when she isn't watching...it's a good plan! Their manager is awesome, and there seems to be a good work atmosphere for the employees. They all seem to enjoy their work, and I really appreciate that. It can get a little loud, but that's only because of the number of people there. I see that as a good problem. It would be bad if you went to the restaurant and no one else was there during the lunch rush. Last comment: I love their dining area because of the windows! It's so open feeling, but it's not that awful bright. I like their outdoor dining option as well.

    Crispy new zucchini fries.

Best part: they're totally open and back to normal. They've redone the zucchini fries. Super crisp now. Don't get me wrong, the previous recipe was great, they were just droopy. Now they stand up a bit better for dippin'. Definitely makes me want to come more often. The grilled chicken sandwich is good too. Lettuce, tomato, and a pickle slice crisp it out on this yummy bun. They have one of those million selection soda fountains too. Sold!!!

My sister brought me to PDQ on one of my visits to Jacksonville. This location was not far from her home so we decided to go through the drive thru and pick up food before heading to her place. Now, I like chicken strips but it is something I order often. I generally find them bland and I love flavor. When we visited I ordered the chicken strips and zucchini fries. For my son we ordered chicken strips and fries. My son ate his chicken and fries with no problems. I thought the chicken was very good but those zucchini fries were awesome. It's been months since I came here and I still think about those zucchini fries. They were especially tasty dipped in their ranch. The ranch was also very good. The drive thru moved very quickly and the portion sizes were nicely sized. I really enjoyed my visit to PDQ and look forward to a return visit when I go back to Jacksonville.

The driest double fried chicken I've ever had worst than your aunties over cooked bird on thanksgiving.

Inconsistent with freshness. Some visits it's 100% yum. Others it's so stale and refried i refuse to eat it. Check your bags before you drive away. Starting to go down hill like every other fast food place unfortunately. They were great the first year or two.

We both had chicken Caesar wraps, which were only lightly packed in the wrap, and didn't have enough dressing, so they were very dry. The dining room is spacious, there's 2 TVs with different sports networks on, the restroom is impeccably clean, and I'm always cheerfully greeted by the staff. As for other locations, the service quality tends to vary from day to day. My go-to order is the Bacon Cheddar Burger, cooked medium, with onion rings instead of fries, and a fountain drink. They don't have combo meals, sadly, so everything is a la carte. On the rare... and I do mean RARE occasion that I opt for something even remotely healthy, the Garden Chicken Salad with Ranch is a tasty choice. The KEY is the Ranch. It's served chilled and I believe it's made in-house...or at least it tastes that way. Perfect dressing for a salad, phenomenal dip for the piping hot Onion Rings. Winning. As addicting as they are, I do wish that there were more than 5 Onion Rings in a serving, especially when there's an upcharge for the substitution. There have been a few occasions when the burger patty was a tad on the dry side, but not a deal breaker, the crisp bacon slices came in to save the day. P.S. Honorable Mention goes to the heavenly Cookies, Brownies, and Milkshakes that have always been there to help me finish strong. Till next time, my fellow Yeeps, thanks for reading, and as always...SYOY!
