The chicken fingers were okay, a little soggy but I chalk that up to the fact that I got it delivered and not picked up myself. I used to think Zaxaby's was the end all, be all of chicken fingers until I was introduced to PDQ! Their chicken fingers are perfectly breaded and not fried too much. They are very flavorful and tender. They have lots of tasty sauces and you can have AS MANY AS YOU WANT! Obviously, that is a huge selling factor for me. I hate being nickel and dimed over sauces. The fries are good (if you like them like I do, which is a little "soggy") but last time my boyfriend and I tried the fried zucchini. The associates at this location are Not dedicated to quality customer service. Food was good as always! We love PDQ! But when I ordered a kid's meal for my niece and asked that they toss the chicken in a sauce, the girl I ordered it with said that was fine. Then we got to the pick up window and this girl said no. She informed me they don't offer that for kid's meals. Sort of dumbfounded, I asked, "isn't it the same chicken and sauce you use for regular meals?" and she confirmed it is. So after going back and forth about it a couple of times, trying to figure out what the issue is with tossing the chicken like they would any other chicken she refused to toss it and just gave us the dipping sauce cups. This is a nice place to go to get some slightly upgraded fast food from the standard McDonalds and Burger Kings of the world. The chicken is hot and freshly cooked, the fries are shoestrings (my favorite) and well seasoned. The staff are so polite and a pleasure to work with as well. Negatives: It's a bit pricy in all honesty. Spending $7-$8 for a few tenders, fries and a drink is a bit on the excessive side if you ask me. The other issue I have are portions, it's simply too much food. The amount of fries you are served is simply overkill. When me and my wife go we can easily share a meal and be fine. Love their chicken tenders. The zucchini fries and their ranch sauce are both absolutely amazing! The ranch sauce has a garlic taste to it as well that makes it one of the best ranch dipping sauces I've ever had. The zucchini fries are always perfect, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken always tastes fresh and zucchini fries are always fresh because I've always had to wait for them to make them, approximately 2-5 minutes, and well worth it. read more

I went back to PDQ after the regional direction, i believe, sent me a couple of free vouchers to try some more food! He has also invited me to take a tour of the facilitiies but I never know when I'm going to be there to take him up on that offer, but we'll see! The sandwich was pretty good, not too sloppy, The bread was good. The fries were above average, unique in a good way. The drink size was average. First impressions of this new franchise restaurant were favorable from the outside and even more favorable on the inside. Wood floors inside with big open vaulted wood panel ceiling was a nice surprise for a fast food place. Quality seating! The price of the food is acceptable - not expensive / not cheap - but very fair because it is quite good. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Meal ($7.39 - includes drink) which was a nicely seasoned whole meat chicken breast fried to crispy perfection. It was served on a fresh egg bun with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and pickle slices. It came with fresh-cut french fries and a beverage. Optionally, I could have had blueberry coleslaw instead of fries (unfortunately I didn't sample the slaw). The lettuce, tomato and pickles on the sandwich were perfectly prepared and very fresh. Highly recommended! My boy ordered the Kid's Meal: 2-piece crispy chicken tenders, honey mustard sauce, fresh-cut french fries and a Yoo-hoo drink. He loved it! I didn't sample it but it looked every bit as good and fresh as my meal. I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be enough food for him (8-years old) but it was sufficient. Recommended! As far as beverages go; I had fresh brewed unsweet tea. The tea was great and brewed in tea urns that were apparently "properly cleaned" because the tea was clear and tasted clean and fresh. I saw that they also have fresh brewed "Green Tea" but I didn't sample it. I noticed that they have the new Coca-Cola machines where you can mix and create your own soda combination. Beyond that, sorry, I didn't notice if they had coffee or other drinks. PDQ in Julington Creek seemed to be well managed and appeared to be "very clean". You can see the entire prep area - clean, fresh, no hidden things going on, no back room drama. The employees were young, clean and professional with bright personalities. There is also an employee that wanders through the dining area consistently to make sure the customers are happy and to see if they need anything. Nice! I will have to rate this place a 5-star because the food, environment and overall experience were that level. This was my first trip to a PDQ. I hope they can maintain this level of quality as time goes by and newness of this franchise wears off. Great Job! read more

We love Tim Tebow and were excited to support PDQ. We were impressed with the open clean atmosphere. The place was packed as it was brand new. The chicken tenders are really tender, but just a little bland. I would love to see a little more flavor in them. The French fries are dirty fries which I love, but these are so soggy and greasy. When you buy the chicken tender dinner, you have to choose French fries or cole slaw. For the price, you should get both. Even just a small helping of the blueberry cole slaw would be great. If you want the bigger helping, you could pay extra. We went for the second time. No big crowd, same tenders, same soggy French fries. Still way too many employees. The ones working the dining room got on our nerves. Three times coming by our table to see if we needed anything. Overall, I think they need to get a little more creative with the spices, bump up the menu a bit, tone down the employees a bit, add a sample of cole slaw with the tenders dinners and rethink those fries. We still love you Tim and are always hoping for the best in all you do. read more

PDQ...A company really striving to live up to there name. My business partner and I came in for lunch, he ordered a turkey sandwich which had a fishy taste to it and didn't recieve much help as far as getting it replaced with another item. He left a small complaint and we left to go back to work. By the next morning he was contacted by management offering to make it right and they showed there sincerity for our unsatisfactory experience. We work in the service industry ourselves and know it's not easy to please everyone but just the fact they go out of there way to see how people are reacting to their company speaks volumes. I think that Tim Tebow would help out ever failing Jags. Tim really needs to help out the store. I have eaten at the store close to the beach a couple of times. They did it a lot better then this store did. The place is super sweet I love the interior and it is done well. I like the soda machine with a zillion flavors. The service is really good. That's where everything down hill fast. First I got my drink cup and before I could fill it they were calling my name for my order. Ok they are quick and the place wasn't even a quarter of the way filled. My chicken tenders were warm at best which told me they cooked a lot. Just they were cooked way before I ordered them. Swing and a miss. Then the tenders were as bland as well just bland. The tenders had some colored specks in them but they didn't come with flavoring that normally one would put into those specks. I also got the blueberry slaw. Thinking that it was a different combination what the heck. I'm a different kind of guy. But, this was too different for me. First the slaw was also bland and dry. I'm a big fan of salads and I've never been impressed with theirs. Today I tried the new fiesta taco salad, it was pretty good. They package the ground beef separate so not to make the salad soggy. My wife, daughter & I came out to their soft opening - we were very impressed with the freshness of their food ( we found out there are no freezers or microwaves in a PDQ) as well as their overall taste. Their service was pretty quick as well. The ambience there is great - lively music playing fairly loud, a couple of flat-screen TV's and free wi-fi (always a great plus!). I ordered their Buffalo Chix sandwich, my wife ordered their Crispy Chix sandwich & my daughter ordered their Chix Tenders - we all loved our food as well as their Freestyle Coke machines. Liked this place at first it was great ate there way too often then one day it started...I heard that nasty snap and got that ugly taste. I hadn't noticed at least the first few times anything bad but now I quit going because every piece of chicken has that nasty tendon in it, that snap is cause it's grossly thick, in most cases it cooks out to slime but here now it beckons me reminds me how we as Americans have wholeheartedly bought into this idea that "chicken tenderloin," is a good thing. Our favorite lunch spot after church, we frequent pdq on a regular basis. Can't go wrong with grilled chicken sandwich or the buffalo blue sandwich! Kids love the grilled chicken strips and apples. The coleslaw at PDQ is tasty because they don't use too much mayo like most recipes do, and they add in blueberries. It's very refreshing.
