Buying from here was... an experience. So let's begin. Rewind to April of this year- My fiancé saw a 4runner and we went to look at it. The guy who helped us, Clint was a pretty OK salesman. He spoke a little too much about "Obama's old America" and politics, but I was able to tune it out. The car was in really good shape, but they said that a piece of the muffler was damaged. My fiancé also noticed a missing cap on the tire. 2007 4Runner, 77k miles. Owned in New York. (Yes, salt damage underneath is imminent, we know) He was in love with it but I suggested he think on it. He decided not to.. The entire time Clint was not pushy. He was eager to make the sale, but not in an aggressive way at all. The owner (a foreign gentleman) of the shop on the other hand... wow. He was a little odd. At one point, another salesman was helping a customer and the owner had to step in to assist, the salesman went to speak and the owner goes "I'm handling this? Aren't I? Get the fuck of here." He then looked at the customer and said "These guys.. I own this shop!" I was a little taken aback. My fiancé was approved but the down payment was HIGH. They said it was due to his credit (his credit was fine). He paid $1200 down. I found this odd and pushed back, but they said there was nothing they could do. Now here's where it got hairy.. We were there on a Sunday, I knew that meant they were basically pre-approving him. I was really scared they would call Monday and the deal would get all sorts of screwed... I've bought cars before but this was my fiances first experience so I wanted to make sure they didn't prey on that. I made sure they knew I was educated, firm and sensible. I honestly think my attitude helped so much with how they treated us. I also made sure that the owner wrote up a document stating they would fix the muffler and replace the wheel cap and if they couldn't they would pay $45. Monday comes, my fiancé gets a call that he needs to come sign more papers. Nothing more, nothing less. But I was worried, so I went with. Yeah, they told him he actually wasn't approved for $1200 down. He'd either need to pay another $1200, or lose the car. I was FURIOUS. Why hadn't they said that on the phone!? Why did they make it seem like we were a-ok on Sunday? Oh I raised hell. The owner agreed to a payment plan for the additional $1200, which he honored. 5 months later, the car is great. They never did reach out about the muffler or cap, but my fiancé got them fixed on his own. I waited to write this review to see if the car full on took a crap, they tried to pull anything else... etc. But so far we are very happy with the car. I honestly think we just got lucky though. My husband wanted to buy a truck. The guy calling was not only lying about everything but then decided to cut me off and not let me talk. He then sent my husband they lengthy text talking bad about me and saying he would never do business with us. They claimed to have ran his credit, but had zero Information that would show up on the credit report. Didn't even know we had another car loan. After he cut me off he got aggressive because I wouldn't stand for it. He said he had all my husbands info right there, but couldn't answer any questions. Stay away from this place. read more

Worst customer service I have ever had from a car dealer. 4 days after I got my 2013 Jetta tdi. An engine light came on. I brought it back to them and they told me to schedule an appt. I came back at my appt time a tech diagnosed it and said he would call back to make another appt and put the part in. I never received a phone call and have called them 1/2 dozen times. Bad business, flat out attempted criminal fraud PDX Auto Mart, I think, knowingly sold me a truck with a bad catalytic converter and bad head gasket. Why do I think that? After a month of wheeling and dealing, lies, unfulfilled promises, intimidation, bungling of the loan papers, and hack-job repairs, I was able to return the car (at a loss) and they turned around and tried to resell it for more than I paid -- after I showed them paperwork from two reputable mechanics showing them that this $10,000 truck need up to $8500 in repairs. Absolutely the worst experience ever!!! Was told I was approved for a toyota fj cruiser. Took the car home and w weeks later I get a call from PDX saying that I was not approved and needed to return the vehicle. After returning the vehicle I get a call welcoming me to the credit company. After explaining to them I dodnt have the car I called pdx and got "oh ya ok we will handle it." I got a bill a month later saying that my car payment was in default and that it has been reported to my credit. I dont even have the car and pdx doesnt even care. After making yet another phone call to PDX im told "whoa thats odd. Ill take a look" . They only care about the initial sale amd after that you can kick rocks. This place sold me a car that after two days began to fall apart the moonroof stopped working the front bumper fell off and the passenger window went off track. I took the car back because Oregon has a three day lemon law ! The owner refused to give me my deposit back! And threatened to sue me for damages made to the car! I found this dealership through a Craigslist ad, and though I had initial reservations about the potential quality of the cars and service--because this dealership is not a big-name lot and because used cars can be tricky--I was inspired by the variety and quality of the inventory as well as the fair prices, so I decided to check it out. I originally visited the lot to test-drive a Toyota Echo, but I wasn't overly-impressed by the car (not the dealership's fault; the Echo is basically a box on wheels). Fortunately, while I was there I spotted another vehicle of the make and model I'd been considering. I didn't have time to take it for a spin that day, but I let the dealership know I was interested, and I scheduled an appointment to test-drive it later that week. It should be known that the staff is small but friendly and unassuming. I never felt intimidated or coerced. I really appreciated David's down-to-earth attitude and genuine friendliness. I liked that the staff didn't ask me for a million documents pre-test-drive and didn't join me in the car for the test-drive. I also liked that they answered my questions honestly. Of course, anyone buying a used car should do their research. Most used car lots get their cars from a variety of places, including auctions. Cars can have interesting histories. To do your due diligence, you might use CarFax or a similar service (I like to use the free--yes, free!--comprehensive Moto Snoop for vehicle background checks). I did my research and found that the car I was interested in had a pretty solid history. However, it did need a whole new set of tires as well as an alignment, a replacement bezel for the electronic window/door operations, and a set of keys for the doors (the included key worked the ignition but not the doors, but he fob worked on the doors). Because the vehicle needed this work done, I negotiated the price. The dealership worked with me to get me a fair price. It was actually a pleasant experience, nothing like some of my past experiences at larger dealerships. This review is way past the actual time this all occurred but better late than ever right? So with that in mind, the only thing I can say good about this place was the car they scammed me into getting actually runs, but that's it. I found a '14 mustang, grabber blue(my favorite year and color) and was ready to buy it! First red flag was when I got to the lot, the salesman, Mike, said the car was $15k, but I saw the car in CarGurus for only $13k...I told/showed him this and he went with the whole "oh my bad! Then I guess it is $13k, like really? Whatever. We went to look at the car and it was nice, but one thing I noticed and called out should've given me the thought of just leaving. The interior was literally soaked. The floor of the car was just mushy! It's like they left the doors open all night during a rain storm! Also, the rear defroster doesn't work so I'm going to have to fix that too. Took it for a test drive and it was actually really smooth, ran nice so that was good, plus the prior owner threw in a nice sub in the trunk. After the ride we went back for paperwork. One of the salesmen, Josh was an ass and in general was a major fucking tool. Talked to me like I was a toddler and so I told him I'm not buying this car if he's going to be apart of the sale. Luckily he left and it was Mike and I from there on. Mike was somewhat nice but his vibe was sketchy and very "sign now sign now!" Also, I was trading in my '06 mustang towards this new car and after all was said and done I left with my new mustang. I thought all was good and I was excited! Well, that lasted only so long. A month goes by and I get a call from my old credit union, they're saying I haven't made a payment on my old mustang and I could have it repossessed...I said I traded it into this dealership so there's no reason I should he at fault....WELL too bad! It turns out the dealership never paid off my car or set up anything on my end besides verifying the sale of the mustang! This dealership actually shut down a week after I came in but not one word was said to me or the handful of customers who also bought a vehicle from them around the same time as me! I found out later from a DMV investigator(he was helping me with this case after I was told by family to pursue legal action) that they took my old car and other peoples cars and ditched them at some closed down Pizza Hut parking lot AND left the keys in all of them! How was my car or any other cars not stolen? No idea. But luckily I was able to recover it and hold onto it until I was able to find someone to sell it to for less than what I supposed to get. Yes the old car was STILL IN MY NAME THIS WHOLE TIME! I went as far as trying to proceed with a lawsuit but my lawyer said there's loopholes that the owner(Mehdi) was going through so he couldn't be. To this day I'm not sure what or how we couldn't sue, but we got some compensation back from the company that bought their company but unfortunately it wasn't enough to pay off my car still. All in all, this was and is ridiculous. Once they shut down everyone just up and left the place! To this day I'm still paying off my old mustang ON TOP of my new one, AND I'm also paying off a $6000 warranty that was tacked onto my total car payment that I was told never existed. These guys are great. From the time that I inquired online to the phone calls before I showed up to the experience while I was there to after I drove home in my Ram 2500 Cummins. They were professional and friendly the whole time. They didn't hound me like some car dealers do even though it took me a week before I could make it out there. They had the truck ready for me and also a couple others in case I didn't like the one I wanted. The truck I came in to see was perfect. It was practically new even though it was 4 years old! Don't typically write reviews. However after my experience at this place(two separate occasions) I have decided the guy Clint is a joke. Went to take a look at a truck there and all he could do was talk over me, be overly touchy and pushy, tell me his truck is better than the one my brother drives. Fine I can deal with personality conflicts not a big deal. Now with that in mind read this list and keep in mind I hadn't even finished inspecting or drove the truck and this is what I spotted wrong with it. He could barely get it started. When running it had a hint of white smoke coming out of the exhaust, and while talking to the guy about either an injector issue or injection pump issue the truck just shut off confirming my diagnosis. Steering box leaks, bedside pushed in at bottom of bed on drivers side, drivers rear door didn't open, winch didn't work, fog lights didn't work(due to being cut, steps damaged missing pieces, claims has newer engine, front diff leaking. Now keep in mind I never inspected the interior and didn't drive the truck. He asked for a offer and I gave him what I thought was fair. That was when he decided to insult my brothers truck and talk about how the bumper is better on this truck. My reply was "ahhhh but does your truck run" and he was to busy hearing himself talk to care what I had to say. Then attempted to get me to go in and do paperwork on something that I basically just told him was a pile of junk. This is my second time dealing with this place and neither experience was good. Get rid of Clint, put the mike salesman in charge at least that guy has a brain. He understands that the 24k truck sitting outside is worth just that, not the outrageous markup that this Clint guy thinks the truck is worth. OK. I have to admit that Clint was personable, although I thought I was going to have to save his life from touching my partner repeatedly. Lots of running to get us glasses of water, lots of inane chatter, but Hey, it is a used car place. The two-drop close was handled better than most places. The higher-up came with the price offer. It was an obvious hand-written, jacked-up price with the advertised price showing a big discount. Again, it is a used car place. Got out the door about what I expected. Now the interesting things start. The pics on net of the truck misrepresented the actual truck. Shows pics of door handles with power window and lock buttons - truck has hand crank windows and absolutely no other improvements, like tilt wheel. When Clint took one of us for a ride he cranked the radio up loud. When asked to turn it down, he stalled and made cracks about not liking music. The ploy was to mask the grinding in the rear brakes. When that was pointed out, they made a show of taking it to their mechanic to check out. They said that there was some missing grease.... When we got home the brakes were grinding periodically. Took it to a brake shop and they said the brake shoe was just was rubbing on the drum. No real problem, just a small annoyance. The problem is the bullshit "fix" that the dealership lied about. The repair reports said they replaced the O2 sensor, bank 2 sensor 1. Day after we are home, the computer threw a code - O2 sensor, bank 2 sensor 1. I cleared the code in case it was a glitch, but after the necessary miles to reset the computer, it threw the code again. I took it to a reputable repair shop, and low and behold. PDX had put in a low quality sensor and CROSS THREADED IT when they installed it. $200 later, the sensor is fixed. Now to replace the HVAC fan that was howling by the time we got home. The problems we had were the lies, misrepresentation, putting hands on a woman customer, and attempt to mask the problems that existed. If you can live with those concerns, then ignore my 2-star-never-go-back review. Addendum. I forgot to mention that Clint made a big deal about all the fluids being topped up. Sent us out with less than 1/8th tank gas, radiator down a gallon of fluid, power steering level below the fill mark, and a quart low on oil. I guess he was just talking through his hat. read more

The car was not on the lot. Then he tells me the car is stick shift, as I showed him their website's link listing it as automatic. Monday I called and asked questions about a truck, but the guy was out of town and couldn't show it until Friday, he asked me to fill out the app online to get that started. So I filled the app out and got a call the next day. The lady said she had the app and was working on finding a loan. I was told she would call me back Thursday possibly Friday. She never called. So I called on Friday afternoon to see what the deal was. The lady said she would check on the app and give me a call ASAP, but she couldn't get off the phone fast enough. My experience here was awful. From the salesman who reeked of booze to the finance guy who guaranteed us terms that we didn't get to the manager touching my wife. Just terrible. SO first the boozy salesman. He was nice enough, but seriously you have a problem if I can smell it both times I was there. Next, and the biggest target of my ire, the finance guy Nick. We came in on a Saturday to buy a truck and Nick said we were approved for an 84 month term. He pushed us to finalize the deal even though the approval was only a computer generated one that would have to have a human look at later. He said he really wanted to get his salesman a sale for his "weekend bonus". This is supposed to be commission free sales mind you. Turns out that the bank didn't actually approve the terms we had signed for our truck. So our monthly payment was higher that what we had signed for. Shady. It would have been better if Nick was up front with us and told us that these terms might change for the worse. We made an appointment to sign at 2 pm on the following Saturday to the new terms because we liked the truck even if the dealer was shady in the finance area. We came in to sign and where told Nick had just left on foot to go to the store. We waited a little while and then spoke to a manager. The manager heard our frustration about the terms being changed and Nick being absent for the signing. He tried to console my wife by patting her arm like she was dog. My wife told him three times to stop before he got the hint that she was not happy with the way he was trying to console her. So then we heard a little while later that Nick was pulled over by the police and would be another hour. That didn't match the earlier story about walking to the store. It leads me to think that Nick didn't want to deal with us because he knew we where not satisfied with him switching the terms. Then the manager tried to talk us out of the deal because he wanted his customers to be happy. Going back to our previous truck was not going to make us happy, so we said we would sign to the actual terms while suggested that he have a chat with Nick about his tactics. They contacted me to buy my jaguar that I was private selling and told me that they wanted to buy it (4000$) I took the day off of work and drove all the way out to Milwaukee to show it to them and the guy I talked to on the phone says it's a really nice car. But then another shady salesman Low balled me for 800$. Don't waste people's time and money if your gonna offer them the value of their tires and rims. Please take the time to read this! I want to make sure no one else goes through the sh#$ I had to go through with these guys. I bought and 06' Dodge Ram in July, I took it on a Friday, they had to do some minor work on it and they asked for it on the following Tuesday. They said they would call me and never did, 2 days later I call. They said that it needed more parts that they had to order but it would be another 2 days and I would get a call to pick it up. LIES! I had to call and they said they had to keep it for the weekend. I lost a $5,000 job that weekend for their BS. The weekend went by and all the while they are asking for proof of income etc and I get these things to them within a few hours. And I am driving their loaner car, I don't need a car I need a truck, THATS why I bought a TRUCK. Finally I can't wait any longer and tell them I need my truck. They gave it back to me and said they had done all the work on it. LIES! (you see a trend here?) There was still another part they did not do. So I had to take the truck back to them about a week or 2 later. They kept it for 3 weeks! This time they gave a loaner truck. Fine. But when I got my truck after the 3 weeks all seemed fine but as soon as I get on I5, the check engine light goes on. I send Daniel a picture. He said he would call Mehdi and call me back on Monday. LIES AGAIN. I have called BOTH Mehdi AND DANIEL for the past couple months they kept saying they would fix it. LIES AGAIN. Now it is January. It was time for the tune up in my truck. I took it to my mechanic. Now the last time they took my truck for the 3 weeks they said they did a full tune up, new oil, the works. You know how these liars are, they add on like there's no tomorrow. My mechanic said they had put in USED spark plugs and THATS why my truck had the check engine light! The check engine light is now gone. One of the spark plugs was BURNED out. DO NOT GO HERE, I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE!! I only came here because they had good reviews. Who knows if those have been bought. From all the lies I have been told since JULY I would believe they are all lies. The only guy there that was nice is named Clint. They owners there are all A**hole#. They talk the talk and walk the walk, don't be fooled. Avoid headaches with these guys, just go somewhere else. And if you do go here, take your own trusted mechanic that can verify what they said they did. Do NOT buy a car here that needs "minor" repairs like they said. Oh and I have PROOF of all this. I text and email so that I have proof in these situations. They never cared to call me back, and I am sure they keep doing this BS to others. Someone has to make sure these guys are known for what they do. If I can't do anything I can at least leave this and hopefully no one goes through what I had to go through. read more

I really like the staff. They were really nice and upfront on how they do business. Nice to hear they want to embrace customer service. I liked the idea of the car fax on all vehicles. They were very accommodating for test drive. Nice selection of vehicles. I was paying cash but they did offer financing if needed. Ultimately I didn't buy the vehicle because there was an accident reported on the car fax report. The pricing was high compared to the same exact vehicle with same or less mileage, same condition etc that had a clean car fax and no accidents at other dealers. From sitting the car was a little grimey, lots of leaves u set hood and dusty. Otherwise a good experience. That's only reason for 3 star rating. read more

I wish I could write a good review for these people, I really do. My mother found an add on for a Ford truck that she really liked. It was just what she wanted. Extended cab, 3/4 ton, 2wd, and a diesel engine to boot. The sales guy was great and even offered my dog a drink of water (it was hot out). To make a long story short, Mom took it for a test drive, liked it, and made an offer. the Salesman went and talked to the manager, came back and said "deal," they shook hands (hell, I even shook his hand). I left to take the car (and my dog) home and left my mom and the salesperson to go to the bank and fill out paperwork thinking there would be no problem and that she was in capable hands. when my mother arrived home some two and 1/2 hours later I asked her how it went and what the final price was after taxes and licensing and that's when I found out that somehow they had screwed her out of over A THOUSAND DOLLARS over the initial agreed upon price!!!! I called the salesman (I had his cell number because mom had called me on it because she left her cell phone at home) and tried to talk to him but he ended up hanging up on me. Later, as I was writing a review warning people on Facebook about our experience, my phone rang and it was someone from the dealership. I tried to talk to him about things and offered to bring the truck back and start over and he ended up laughing at me and said (verbatim) "What, your going to sue us over a thousand dollars?" Very unprofessional and unorganized. My boyfriend drove all the way from the north end of Washington state because he was told that a specific truck would be put on hold for him until Monday morning. Only for him to show up Monday morning to find out that the truck had actually been sold. His father took the day off to travel with him which means they not only wasted one persons time but two people who woke up at 4am to make the long haul to portland Oregon on a Monday morning. I am very unimpressed with this company and am only writing this review in hopes to save somebody else their valuable time. If you are considering traveling to this dealership to purchase a vehicle, look elsewhere. Coming home empty handed after driving for 11 hours straight is a huge disappointment. They do not answer the phones, and they do not answer emails. I have contacted them three times by email and twice by phone, and I have yet to get a response from this company. Customers and customer service/ the customer experience clearly cannot be that important to this establishment if they will not even answer communications. I have given them over a week to respond. I suggest taking your business elsewhere to a company where the customer matters and they will actually speak with you! read more

I've had some pretty rotten experiences in the past buying cars so I was pretty apprehensive when it was time to buy a new car to fit my growing family. After shopping several other Dealers and again having similar headaches with sales people and misleading ads, I contacted Pars Auto Mart. I bought a truck from this place for $30k about a year ago. They drove the truck up from Portland after saying how honest they were and that they had accurately described the truck. My first clue should have been that they description did not match the truck when they arrived. In any case there were several issues with the truck the main ones being completely bald tires and the other was a damaged drivers door panel. The owner stated they had already ordered the panel and he had tires that he would get to me as well. As it turns out it took months just to even get the title for the truck. Needless to say he never followed through with any of the promises. No tires, no door panel (that was supposedly already ordered) and no reimbursement for trip permit fees it was just one excuse after the other. The sad part is how honest they claimed to be. In any case these guys talk a good game and the vehicles show well in photos but if you are looking for a vehicle do yourself a favor and pass this dealership up. read more
