Came to this spot to eat while visiting Oregon and was not disappointed. The service was quick and the food was absolutely amazing. Been driving by this place a few months now and finally got a chance to try it. Overall, the food was really good especially for the price. I would have probably liked a little kick to my food and I know my SO would have too. They didn't ask how spicy or anything like most other Thai restaurants I've been to, they kind of just made everything not spicy. That aside, the flavors in the pad Thai and pad see ew were really good and I'd totally order again. On the flip side, the yakisoba wasn't really my taste. It was a little too salty for me. I defiantly think you should give this place a try it was so fast, good price, and awesome tastes. read more

So good, my husband mentioned them and being home everyday for work has made me tired of cooking and eating sandwiches. This local shop is just around the corner and the food was worth the trip out, so fresh! I got the tofu pad Thai. Not spicy but I don't know if they are supposed to be, regardless the flavor was on point. The tofu was nicely grilled on a flat top and the fresh carrots and bean sprouts on top gave great texture to the meal. It does have egg in it but it was cooked the way my neighbor used to when I was a kid. Lunch hour is actually a bit cheaper than dinner so if you're hungry mid day check them out. Located near Reed college, just off Holgate. The parking lot is small but you could always park on the street next to it, 28th (it's a one way so pay attention!) Hope to see this place survive all of this chaos going on. Love the remodel too, can't wait to dine in. read more

This place has a lovely indoor setting peaceful, relaxed, the food is excellent, service is fast, the pros. I guess the reason I would give it 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that it is tough to find parking often and the serving sizes are small for the price it is a smaller amount of pricey excellent food :) I would give it 4.6 but this does not allow me to do that. I will eat here again and add photos as the last time I was there I was with an acquaintance and did not take time to take photos! read more

We had gotten take out from this business a couple of times and thought we'd dine in one weeknight evening. We were seated after a few minutes and placed our order within a short time. We only wanted water to drink, which a woman served to us in plastic solo cups. We sat and waited for an hour, but the woman never came to check on us or to let us know how long the wait may be. Finally when I asked if our food was going to arrive soon, I was told it was "First come, first served". I asked why there were customers eating who arrived recently and was told they received their food before us because they had ordered appetizers. When we finally received our meals 5-10 minutes later, my husband reported his larb salad was really good. The Rad-Nah was disappointing, as it was bland and had so much gravy, it was like eating gravy soup! There was a steady line of people coming in to pick up their to-go orders while we were waiting. Clearly, this restaurant cares more about their takeout business and is not staffed adequately to handle dine-in orders. After this experience of being treated so poorly, I guarantee we will never do business with PDX Thai Dining ever again. read more

This business replaced Bird & Bear and opened about a week before the entire city shut for COVID-19 (March 2020) so we decided to order takeout to show some support. We ordered Pork Larb, Chicken Kra-Prao, Beef Mussaman Curry, and one Shrimp and one Beef Pad Se-Ew. I called it in around 6:30p on a Sat night and was able to pickup 20 min later, all carefully wrapped up. The food overall was consistent in portioning and temp, and for the price, it was a good value. I would have liked some spice indicators as I am a medium spicy person and my spouse is a spicy food masochist, and he found his (requested) spicy Pad Se-Ew to be just under his sweet spot for heat. My Kra-Prao was normal level spicy; it was more sweet with a lingering mild heat, which I still enjoyed. Their lunch specials menu offer many of the same dishes at a $2 discount if you're looking to save a little. Ordering over the phone was super easy, and I really hope that once things are back to normal in PDX that they take advantage of the bar portion of the restaurant and offer fun Thai drinks! Between that and maintaining the outdoor patio, I could see eating here almost weekly--and that's saying a LOT for me. Thai is not typically my go-to takeout preference, though it is my spouse's. Consider giving this spot a try now! New businesses are at risk of going under with the current economic conditions. read more

Picked up my first order a week after they ordered. They were friendly and no-nonsense handling it, it took about 20 minutes to prepare. It was all delicious: red curry, cashew chicken, and fried rice. They threw in some veggie spring rolls on top. It's a great addition to the neighborhood. We ordered salad rolls (tofu), Kra-Prao & Pad Ped for take out and loved everything we had. Very fresh, well spiced and thoughtfully put together. This is a new Thai Restaurant only a few blocks away from my house, so I was very excited to try it and I was not disappointed! I ordered Spring rolls, Tofu Salad Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai and a Thai Iced Tea. Ordered around 5pm and it was ready within fifteen minutes. The food was steaming hot, even their togo peanut sauce for the salad rolls was warm. This is our favorite Thai spot in PDX. I recommend the spicy eggplant with tofu or shrimp, but you can order anything and it will be yummy.

The best Pad Thai and Cashew Chicken in Portland. Add some spicy for that extra flavor. Excellent service too.

I started going here when they finally opened in the early days of the pandemic, when you could only get food to go. I've eaten at many Thai restaurants, not just in Portland, but all over the West Coast, especially in Los Angeles and Orange County in California. PDX Thai is the best Thai food I've had in Portland and I've eaten at a few restaurants here. They have great friendly service, and they've always gotten my order right, the way I've asked for it. Ridiculously good thai food. Every single thing I have ever ordered here has been delicious, with absolutely no exceptions. The pad se ew is my favorite I've had at any thai place in portland so far. The sauce is so flavorful and all the elements come together so perfectly. I also recommend the appetizers. I've tried almost every one and they do not disappoint. The chicken satay is perfect but the crispy rolls are also a great starter. The portions are a great bargain for the price, as one entree for ~$12 will usually leave you with leftovers to bring home. The service is always very fast, no matter if you dine in or call in for takeout. I have never had to wait longer than 15 maybe 20 minutes for my order. I love pdx thai, and I will be eating here frequently as long as I am in Portland. Genuinely one of my favorite restaurants. read more

I love Thai food, and have tried a lot of Thai restaurants in Portland, particularly in SE Portland. After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to try this one. I ordered the Crispy Rolls, Pad Thai and Green Curry for take-out. I thought the Crispy Rolls were pretty good, but was disappointed with both the Pad Thai and the Curry. I felt that both of those dishes lacked the intensity and complexity of flavors that I have typically experienced elsewhere. Based on most of the other reviews, perhaps it was an off night for some reason, but based on what I had with this order, I'm not in a hurry to go back. read more

My friends and I were dying for some thai food but weren't by any of the places we typically go to. Super friendly woman was at the front of the register and seemed to be running the show. Everyone seemed happy with the food and service and only that one woman was doing it all. The rest of the staff was in the kitchen. We ordered Chicken Curry and Fried Spring Rolls and Pad Se Ew and Fried Tofu, all of which was delicious. Perfect portions (I ended up having extra, but am known as a light eater) and all came out piping hot (we all burned our mouth but kept eating because it was so good).
