So I found this place by divine intervention for sure. We had just loss my MIL and a few days later our family dog passed as well. My SIL called a few places and the vet said they would take care of everything...until I stumbled upon this place online. The lady who answered was very informative. I had no idea this type of process existed. They use liquid enzymes to dissolve our animal instead of traditional cremation by fire. This way is better for the environment for sure. Our dilemma was that my MIL is going to be laid to rest in a week time. They said they would rush the order because of our sensitive circumstance that we would like her dog to be buried with her in her casket. Terrible experience. My dog passed away December 15th. I called the paired service that drives your dog to peaceful pets since they were very far away and I don't have a car. They sent out her ashes and I received her back on the 24th of December. The ashes were not a source of issue. I opened the bamboo carving of her paw print which I specified in a note to be her back right foot as she was born without two toes and it is something that made her unique. I received an engraving of her left back foot. I called and the gentleman told me he would file a complaint so that the manager can call me back and he told me a guy from corporate was listed as the person who took the incorrect scans and prints of her foot. I then called back on three other occasions and it had been over 3 weeks before I received a callback from the manager Mona, who is the manager of peaceful pets, west coast pets, and sea breeze pet cemetery. When calling me back she left a voicemail in which she was giggling while talking, when I called her back she was quick to say that the guy who took the prints was not from corporate and that "he has been spoken to" about the incident. She then asked me to send over photos that I had of her paw print so she could re-cut them herself. And then called my dog by the wrong name in her scripted apology. She told me to trust her to be able to make up for the error. Tell me, how can I trust a manager that takes almost three weeks to get back to me and that is because I called each week, how can I trust someone or a company that takes zero responsibility when an issue occurs as a manager, as a leader you should take responsibility for who is working under you no matter how many facilities you are in charge of. I received the new carvings today which I sent multiple photos of and then Mona asked if I could send over a photo of my tattoo that I have of my dogs paw to which I declined as I did not feel comfortable doing so, it is on my foot and not somewhere weird but it was also not my responsibility to make sure they had a scan of the proper paw to begin with as that was something I entrusted them with. The two additional carving I received look awful to say the least. One is pixelated beyond belief and the other feels like it was made without consideration or thought. I cried at the end of every phone call during this debacle in having to keep brining up the death of my dog and the thoughts of how careless this facility was with her body. Be wary of any of the three places that are managed by Mona and this corporation. the guy that I spoke to multiple times on the phone was nice and sounded concerned and apologetic for my situation and the guy that worked for a different company that drove to pick up my dog and drop her off was kind as well. Unfortunately that is the only positive interactions I've have over the month long torment that this company has caused me. The way the manager acted and what I can only assume are the companies policies on dealing with this sort of issue is not handled well or professionally at all. Only leaving a review because I see some negative ones. Obviously this is something we are all going to dread doing. The vet advised me I had 24 to finalize my arrangements with peaceful pets once they send an email. So I obviously made sure not to miss that email. I made it a point that I wanted to pick up my dog. I didn't feel comfortable having him mailed to me with the possibility of it getting lost. When I walked in obviously crying the women at the front was more than sympathetic. She answered every single question I had and went through my items with me to made sure everything was right. She even gave me tissues when I was sobbing. She said I'm sorry 100 times. So I'm not sure why people are leaving reviews that they are cold etc. It does suck waiting 3/4 weeks for your pet but what sucks more is having to put your beloved animal inside of an urn. I guess that's what takes up more of the time. Waiting for the urns to get to them. Also the process of aquamation takes 24 hours per animal. It's not the fastest process. This is something that no pet parent wants to ever deal with but the stuff that I received back is amazing. The vet gifted me the vile of hair but wow -- was that one of the best gifts. My sweet little buddy passed away in April and went to Peaceful Pets to be aquamated. They quickly sent me an email with a link to different memorial options I could select from. One of those items was titled "Scan of Ink Print", which I selected. This is my second dog that has been aquamated with this company. I had a big issue the first time around (2022) with the Ink Print scan (honestly it was traumatizing so I've blocked a lot of it out) but ultimately I received a scan of my dog's nose print. I assumed with my dog who passed away in April that I would also receive a scanned nose print. I just got his ashes today and there was no paper included with said scan. I knew- just knew- that they had screwed this up yet again. So I emailed them asking where his nose print is and mentioned that this is the second time I've had this issue with them in as many years. I also included how upset I was (and still am). Here's the response I got from the Care Center Manager, Craig Colby: "On the order that you put in there was no nose print for the ink scan. We did reach out to our tech team to add a nose print in our order form. Unfortunately, you needed to specify that you wanted a nose print otherwise we just do a paw print. If there's anything I can do, please let me know." I quickly replied with the full file of the receipt from my selections which showed "Scan of Ink Print"- (regardless of whether or not it was a nose or paw print I didn't receive anything) and again noted how disappointed and upset I am, reiterating that I never received any scan- nose or paw. Just under 40 minutes later I got an email from their Operations Lead, Tania Luna, with nothing written in it besides her signature, and a scanned paw print attached (could belong to a completely different dog, why not?). No apology, no thank you, nothing. These people have a complete lack of care and respect for their customers who literally are ONLY there because they lost a family member. At the very least, I'd love an "I am so sorry this happened". But no, they couldn't be bothered. So gross. I have mixed feelings about this place, so I will give it a neutral three stars. We recently lost our beloved mini schnauzer after a long, seventeen year life. Peaceful Pets Aquamation was selected by the pet hospital where he passed. In the moment, taking home the remains, reviewing yelp, and hoping to find a better option is not realistic. The paperwork provided by the hospital indicates that you make the arrangements online and then your pet will be sent via mail after several weeks, which is absolutely ridiculous. You can go to their facility in Northridge and handle things in person. Still, the turnaround time is far too long for grieving pet owners. They need to start running a second shift or go in on the weekends to get caught up. The staff was professional, though not really showing any compassion. We chose the small cedar box with custom engraving, as well as the clay paw print. The presentation was very well done, with the exception of one critical detail: the dog's name was misspelled. A new box was made and quickly sent to the house, but it would have been so nice to have it right the first time. read more

I lost my 13 year old boxer when he died in his sleep at home. My vets office uses Peaceful Pets and the price for cremation seemed very reasonable considering my dog weighed 100 lbs. I'm not sure what percentage of the $247 went to them and how much went to the vets office, but I was happy to have found such a reasonable price. I had never heard of aqumation but quickly learned of the benefits and how popular a choice it has become so I had no hesitation to move forward. Within a few weeks, he was returned in bue satin bag within a nice, solid box. There was also a scan of his paw print on a round wooden circle with a ribbon to hang it from. They also gave a vial of his hair which I had to smile about because I have plenty of his hair under my couch and in my car, but I guess it's the thought that counts. I am so thankful that my vet chose to work with Peaceful Pets Aquamation. It made things a little easier during the saddest, most awful time in my life. Our beloved cat Jake passed away suddenly at home in the early hours of the morning while we were asleep. He was elderly but it still came as a huge shock because it happened so unexpectedly. My husband and I were beside ourselves with grief and sadness. When we brought Jake's body in to our vet, I knew I wanted some sort of cremains but couldn't think clearly. Our vet told us about aquamation and Peaceful Pets' services. The vet techs that helped us also told us about other mementos that we could order directly from PP or through the vet's office. A few days had passed, and I was still in shock and trying to come to terms with it all. I was worried it was too late to order any other keepsakes so I called Peaceful Pets and left a voicemail. One of the owners, Jerry, called me back promptly. He was kind and helpful and answered all my questions. Jerry assured me that I had several days to decide and gave me a clear idea of when Jake's body would be cremated. He told me that if I wanted certain keepsakes (nose print, clay paw print, fur), I would need to decide before Jake's body was cremated. He also said that Jake's paw print would be scanned and kept on file so I could order more items with it in the future if I chose to. I ended up ordering a glass vial of Jake's fur (I had only thought to collect a very small snippet before we left him at the vet), a framed nose/paw print, and a clay paw print. His cremains would come with a wooden keepsake paw print ornament too. When I called back to place my order, I again spoke to Jerry. He was again kind and friendly and answered the additional questions I had. I requested that they put Jake's nickname "Bobo" on some of the items, and Jerry said it wouldn't be a problem. When my order was ready, I received a call from PP to notify me when everything would be ready for pickup at my vet's office. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up where only Jake's cremains were delivered (and not the other items that I ordered), but I received a call from PP informing me of what happened and an offer for the delivery person to turn around and drive all the way back down from Newbury Park to Tustin so I'd have everything all at once. I told them not to worry about it and I could wait a few more days until their next delivery to my vet's office. The aquamation process is really interesting, and I was happy to see that it is more environmentally friendly than cremation. The PP website has a lot of good information about the process and the differences between it and cremation. During this time of immeasurable sadness and loss of my beloved baby, it was hard making any decisions at all. I recently lost my two year old cat and it was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to deal with. Luckily, Peaceful Pets Aquamation was there to take care of all the things I couldn't at the time. When something traumatic happens, the last thing you want to deal with are the details of how and what to do with the remains. The staff at the animal hospital knew that and assured us that they would take care of it. We were told that we would get the remains in three weeks and, as promised, almost three weeks to the day they were delivered to us. They came packaged nicely and upon opening the box, we were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful ornament made out of bamboo with our cat Hunter's name and his actual paw print on it. Getting his paw print was important to us and unfortunately under the circumstances on the day he passed away, we didn't think to do it. So we were extremely happy to find this beautiful keepsake in the box. After more research into what Aquamation was, I learned that it was better for the environment. So not only are they doing tough work at Peaceful Pets Aquamation but they are also helping the environment with an alternative to traditional cremation. As for price, I also think that they are extremely fair. Although it was taken care of through the animal hospital, I believe that the service provided was $150. My heart still hurts but I honestly feel better knowing that Hunter was taken care of by Jerry, Susan, and the rest of their staff after he had passed away. We recently had to rush our beloved Spunky to the Animal Hospital in the middle of the night with seizures. He had been ill for a while and was nearly 18 years old. We made the difficult decision to put him to sleep. This was difficult enough. Arranging for his cremation was an awful feeling. The process was relatively easy and I was presented with an array of Urns to place him in. I chose the simple green one. I expected it to be ceramic or something reasonably decent. Instead, it was a simple cardboard box. For $350.00, for his cremation and return, I had hoped for something a little more respectful for our little boy. I must say I was very distraught when I made the arrangements but, had the description of the "Urn" been more clear, I would have chosen one of the others. I would hope that Peaceful Pets could be a little more respectful of our pets and more forthcoming in their descriptions of the Urns. I do not begrudge anyone the right to make a profit but, I see the same Urns they charge $200+ for on Amazon for $30.00. I'm sure they could offer a better basic "Urn" for a fair price. I will be getting our beloved dog the upgraded Urn he deserves from Amazon. One final note, while I was disappointed by the "Urn," they were very quick in his cremation and return. The whole process took 8 days and, he passed late Friday/early Saturday. I was very happy to have him home so quickly. read more

My boyfriend and I lost our 17 year old Malinois in April. Fine for the aquamation service. FYI the owners retired many of the services aren't available via the company itself, so the website and yelp page are currently inaccurate. The person I spoke to provided contact information for a pet ambulance and in-home euthanasia services, which was appreciated. The add-ons are pretty appealing, though I'm not a fan of the laser-cut look. I asked the person at the front desk to opt me out of the laser cut ornament in favor of the paw in clay, adding that the paw in clay was very important to me because we loved our cat's teeny tiny paw beans. I watched them add the laser-cut ornament anyway and let it go. I didn't feel up to correcting them. What's another $20 on a $1000 day, anyway? The urn and the bottle of fur were beautiful. I had planned to set up a memorial display the day they came in the mail. The paw in clay, however, looked really rough. I had looked through previous customers' photos when deciding on an aquamation facility and presentation had everything to do with choosing to take our cat to Peaceful Pets. I'm guessing whoever took her imprint put too much pressure at a single point on her paw, rather than equally distributing pressure, which made her paw pads stretch out unnaturally and made the paw look much larger than it was. It almost looks like she put up a fight, and then someone put human fingers into it to fix it up. There's fur stuck to the bottom, and the surface is rough, as if it was messed with just before the clay was completely dry. It goes without saying that losing a beloved animal companion is draining on all fronts. I realize small cat paws might be trickier than dogs' but I expected more care to be taken than this. This is so awful and upsetting, I won't even show the paw print to my wife the way it is now. I had emailed Peaceful Paws through both my previous conversation with an employee and through the website's form, bringing the issue to light and asking if anything could be done to amend the issue. The first was kicked back to me, saying the email address didn't exist (???) and the 2nd was just never responded to. It's really not the item I'm concerned about, just mostly the lack of care and the lack of a response. Mistakes and oversights happen, and I had made sure to make a few mementos during the frighteningly fast decline of our beloved girl. I had brought her body curled up in a basket with a blanket, because she was so special to us. The women taking her into the back coo-ed and baby-talked her as if she was alive, so I initially felt relieved and confident about bringing her in. All in all, the service is fine. Steel yourself if this is your first experience with the morbid world of the aftercare industry. And maybe opt out of any paw-related add-ons if you're bringing a cat in. read more

With no info from the hospital, I called Peaceful Pets. Jerry answered and said he didn't have Mojo, but he would find out where he was. He took over from there, found Mojo and arranged for a dignified pickup, and away from MASH pet hospital. I spoke with him and his wife Susan over the next few days and they explained everything very clearly to me, and guided me through the process. They also made sure I was able to get remembrance items before the process began. This process is much more earth friendly and mimics the process that takes place in nature when an animal dies. It has been nearly 3 weeks since we lost our beautiful boy, Munster (no, not named after the cheese). Never again will I be able to hold him in my arms and cuddle with him. Never again will I be able to hold his paw and kiss his face. Never again will this spunky little Cocker Spaniel run into the room and jump on me to greet me when I come home from work. On the last day of our first born's life, we took him to Animal AM-Emergency Clinic in Pasadena and had the option to have him cremated. The outside company they use is Peaceful Pets Aquamation. Two days after we saw our dog take his last breath, Peacful Pets Aquamation called me and left a message on my phone that they have Munster and that if we had questions, to feel free to call them. The person's voice on the phone was very sweet and genuine, which really is important, especially during a difficult time like this. Then 2 weeks later, the veterinarian place we went to called to let us know that Munster's remains were ready for pick up. Being that this was the first time I had a pet cremated, I didn't know what to expect. I didn't even know if his ashes were going to be given to us in a container or not. But I did know that we would have a paw print (as that is what the employee of the hospital had told me the first time we came to put our dog down). I was so surprised to see a green box and my dog's paw print in a green organza bag. There was also a little card inside from the staff at Peacful Pet Aquamation as well (hand signed with all of their names). Inside the box is a bag of Munster's remains, wrapped in a blue organza bow, truly a nice touch. When the staff member at the hospital gave us this box, I began to tear up, especially when I saw our little boy's paw print. This clay keepsake was a perfect print of his paw. It was also nice to see his name written on the side. As we drove home, I placed my hand over our dog's paw. As I felt the grooves and indentation in the clay paw print, it made me want to hold his paw again just one more time. But this truly is the next best thing since I won't be able to ever again, and will truly treasure it forever. Now as for pricing, based on my dog's weight (16-40 pounds), this service cost $200. However, because I went through the veterinarian hospital we euthanized our dog (which was a tough decision, but know he is no longer suffering), this ended up costing us $174.50 total. Because of the way this company treated our beloved dog with the up most care and respect, I would highly recommend using them in the future if you end up finding yourself in the same situation (if only pets lived longer....). read more

On October 25 God took our pet Husky named Bear to join him in heaven. Our veterinarian recommended using Peaceful Pets Aquamation for his internment. Bear was transported to them and we received him back in such a beautiful wooden box and received an awesome paw print of our beloved pet. I highly recommend this service for your beloved pets. I have had 22 pets cremated/aquamated over the last 20 years. Peaceful Pets Aquamation is awful. Do NOT trust them with your pet. The service I used for in-home euthanasia for my cat works with Peaceful Pets. I wasn't familiar with Peaceful Pets though they seem to be owned by the same corporation that is buying up a lot of cremation/aquamation services in L.A.. The experience was terrible. My cat was a polydactyl so I ordered clay paw prints of both her front paws. I was charged $60 each. I also asked for the paw prints in ink on card stock. They botched my cat's clay paw prints. They look like something a preschool child would make. They didn't do the ink paw prints at all. I am stuck with amateurish clay discs with imprints that look nothing like cat paws. I did receive a credit for the 2 clay paw prints from the euthanasia company (not Peaceful Pets), but there are no re-dos when your pet is dead. I deserved a better memento of the cat I loved for more than 15 years. Peaceful Pets Aquamation deprived me of something that should have been quite meaningful to me. I have beautiful paw prints in clay made by different companies when my other pets passed. The experience with Peaceful pets was incredibly disappointing.
