This was an incredible experience at a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Woodlawn. Chef Shon outstanding food and service in this quaint community breakfast/brunch spot. I love the interior design, the counter area and friendly vibe. We will be back!

Special lemonade, cherry. Taste like flat cherry pop and unsweetened Kool aid.

My food was cold, the chef argued with my husband about his eggs, The drinks are kool-aid. The hashbrowns are from a bag. And it should only be taken out because they don't have a washroom. Can't support this black business.

***Cashless*** The place looked clean but very small. It's cute and has potential. They have 4 seats at the bar area and 8 tables that seat 2 people. While sitting and waiting, because service was extremely slow, it was hot in there. Not to the point I was sweating but definitely could tell the ventilation needs to be checked or the a/c. Especially, since the place is an open concept. You can see the cooking area. Back to service... There was 1 gentleman taking orders, which you think would be enough for the amount of space. His service wasn't great or poor. I will say I was sitting approximately 10-15 mins before I received a menu and water. All the drinks on the menu were not available. Their blueberry lemonade taste like kool-aid. I ordered a side of salmon corquettes with remoulade sauce. The salmon corquettes were cooked so long it was hard to break them apart with my fork and the sauce taste like Italian dressing. I had the The Lawn Big Boy which is a ribeye with egg, potatoes, and pancakes, toast, grits, or rice. I had the pancakes. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium well and my eggs to be cooked over medium. My steak was cooked well done and it was tough with no flavor and came out cold. The eggs were seasoned well but cooked over hard and the potatoes were Idaho diced potatoes out of a bag, also seasoned well. My only highlight was the delicious pancakes. The pancakes get a five out of five stars.

I had an amazing experience at The Lawn Breakfast Bar today. A friend and I arrived today around 10 a.m. (Friday, 6/27/25). Food - 4.5 stars: Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented! Service - 4.5 stars: Amazing, warm, and friendly servers! Ambiance - 4.5 stars: Beautiful aesthetic and vibe inside. The music was fun and not too loud. (A couple songs weren't family-friendly, but overall fine.) We received our food promptly and were checked on throughout our meal. They were out of a few items, and the server had to ask questions about some menu options, but the young men were prompt, responsive, and very courteous! Summary: Attentive, prompt service, delicious food, and amazing ambiance. What more can you ask for? Overall, I highly recommend this spot. It's a hidden gem on Langley, just past 67th. It's not right on the corner, and I wish they had more visibility--I'd love to see them gain more patrons and continue serving the community and beyond for years to come!

    Breakfast Egg Rolls no taste

The customer service was horrible there was some course hair on my sisters fish we asked for the owner not available asked for manager just left I asked who was next no one stepped up I took the fish showed it to some rude gentleman behind the counter who wanted to get loud with me as we went back and forth there was no apology no half off no nothing. To support some of these businesses are extremely hard either they're rude food not good which ours wasn't they advertised catfish but looked like cod, or they're over priced $12 for 3 fried green tomatoes ridiculous. But hey I'm done with it.

Salmon croquettes, grits, eggs with spinach, and pancakes.

The food was good, and the service was good. It's an intimate location, and we're definitely going back to try more.

    Bullshit...

I placed an order through Uber Eats. First issue solely on Uber: One driver was on the way to pick up the order and then I got a notification that the order was being picked up by another driver. Second issue: The order that I placed: Grit Flight w an order of Pancakes. The order I received: check the picture.... I don't know who to blame Uber or The Lawn!!!!! Very disappointed!!!!!

With a cozy locals vibe, there was a mix of young professionals on laptops and families starting the morning. The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. I got the horchata latte, which tasted even better than I hoped. I also ordered a El Chavo Torta, a deceptively simple sandwich that was incredibly delicious. I don't know what they put in the bread or what magical place they bought the cheese from, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. When I'm in Chicago again, La Malinche is on my list of must visit spots.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.

I had the regular coffee flight and their valentine special coffee flight. Their drinks were soooo good and tastes just like how you would expect it to taste. The owner said they took over the store next door to expand the coffee shop, so stay tune for an expansion? Hands down one of the most legit coffee spots I would keep coming back to even if it's out of the way sometimes. My husband ordered a bagel sandwich cause he was hungry and we thought it was fine. If you're ever in the area, you must come here for the coffee! They even use the good ice so that way your drinks stays cold and not watered down immediately! IYKYK

Why would you not order a flight to try a variety of drinks all at once? We had the hibiscus lemonade and matcha flight, the mango con crema and banana con crema were the standouts.
