    The Biscuit!!

Tam and Trillis forgive the spelling Tam was an amazing champion for our first experience, of Peaches as it was our first time. She recommended the dark roast coffee first off. Excellent recommendation, you smelled the brew before it arrived fully at the table. Stating that the coffee was on point would minimize the cup's perfection!!! Now to the food OMG!!! First DUCK BACON excellent I don't eat pork except bacon. Yes, I'm on the team that bacon is not pork LOL!!! The duck back to was good. I couldn't taste the difference. I hate turkey bacon, EVERY TIME Ive tried turkey bacon, it was tasteless and expensive. The duck bacon was lean and tasty. I highly recommend trying it. Second for me is the biscuit. The biscuit was so good, I sat long enough to know I needed to take one home. I had the catfish, grits and greens. Everything delicious. The catfish was mouth watering. My friend had the peaches' special. First of all, those potatoes called my name!! Delicious. The icing on the cake was the Chef's visit. Trellis or Trillis, I'm from the country, so that's what I heard!! He visited our table, and we shared our delight in the well-prepared meals. It's evident that the meals were prepared with love and care. Everyone at the restaurant was pleasant. The staff were all professional and taking care of business. The space is open you don't feel as if you are seated with a neighboring table. It was bright and well lit. We had an amazing experience. I highly recommend! The portions are generous. I had lots of extras do I have dinner for tonight. When you visit, let them know I said Hi!!! Yes, Im going back so others have an opportunity to experience; great food, excellent service and phenomenal space!!!

Unlike President Obama I do not think this is a ravingly delicious must try restaurant, BUT the eclectic menu, STUNNINGLY GOOD DUCK BACON, attentive service and warm though a bit dated atmosphere, make this restaurant a place to try. I recommend the Breakfast Bowl: Potatoes, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, scallions, & cheddar cheese with your choice of egg. Add a side of Duck Bacon; trust me you should try this dish!

Great breakfast treat, fantastic friendly attentive service, and family style group seating. Diner seating available too! It did not disappoint! Thank you!!

Visiting from New Orleans! I was brought here by a local and appreciated the personality of the place. Service was super slow and it seemed like the owner had to come out and help as a few waiters were in training, but overall the experience was good. Good music and wasn't too busy. We ordered the bayou bowl and the catfish eggs and grits. Highlight was the catfish for me, once I requested it to be fried hard. Don't mind returning!

The poor waiter was alone and it took almost 45 minutes for food. Food was ok just ok they serve juice in bottles, I guess thats to prevent shrinkage??? maybe on a different day when I am feeling more something...

Great Breakfast/Lunch. I am an Omelet fan and love the Lamb Omelet, but enjoy the duck bacon sandwich too! Fabulous service. Big fan.

I had salmon and grits. I was not impressed. They had no seasoning. The only thing I enjoyed was the biscuit. I would not eat here again

They did have Malibu, Coke Classic, but no cornbread. How you serving collard greens with turkey tails and no cornbread? Also given they are a "winery", I found the copied and poorly cut paper in a leather binder as a wine list laughable and limited. The decor and vibe were giving along with the chicken. However, since I like to drink when I eat not likely to have a repeat visit.

They were all very kind and accommodating, but seemed to be short staffed. We did enjoy the mimosa. They tasted delicious and were a good size. The bottomless mimosas option is a great value. Where they fell short was the food. The menu for brunch is nice, but the execution from the kitchen fell short. Items came out randomly and not in any order. People were missing items or they were given wrong items. It was clear the kitchen couldn't keep up with what became a fairly full restaurant. It is very cute. Nice space. Plenty of room for large parties. Nice decor. But they need more staff. I would return for the mimosas and wine and to support them. They were all so kind. Hoping for a better experience next time.

I think our favorite was the catfish! If you go be sure to try Ernie's fingers. So so good. I'm actually writing this review while standing outside waiting for my Uber. We ordered the Ernie's Fingers, Southern Curry Chicken, and Pimento Mac & Cheese. Let's start with tha ambience. The decor is inviting but it is VERY small inside. On to the food. The Ernie's Fingers were especially disappointing. For $15, I expected much more. They were essentially egg rolls filled with collard greens and cornbread--no meat at all. While the concept sounded interesting, it didn't justify the price tag. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food quality compared to the cost. The Southern Curry Chicken was dry and overcooked and really needed some type of sauce. The rice was simply plain white rice--nothing memorable and certainly not what I'd expect for a dish that costs around $40 - chicken and rice, literally. The pimento mac & cheese was also much saltier than I prefer. What made the experience even more disappointing was how we were treated. By the end of our 90-minute dining window, we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. It felt as though we were being rushed out of the restaurant, which left a bad impression and took away from what should have been an enjoyable meal. To add to that, the automatic 20% gratuity was also a letdown. I have no problem tipping for great service, but considering the overall experience--from the food quality to feeling rushed out the door--it didn't feel deserved. Maybe I visited on an off day because so many others have had great experiences. I can only speak to my visit, and unfortunately, between the overpriced food, disappointing flavors, feeling like an inconvenience at the end of our meal, and the automatic gratuity, it simply wasn't worth the cost for me.
