Peachtree Service Experts lost me as a loyal customer. They are bunch of scammers and rip-offs. I had been using their Maintenance+ service since 2014 (in my current home) and for about 8 years in my last home. They were my go to for years until now. I start noticing a change in their service around 2020 and it has been downhill ever since. For one, they have call site representatives answering their phones now. These representatives, as of late, come across unenthusiastic or rude. The once small company, who was the down to earth, had knowledgeable employees....are no more. The final straw for me was in this last year. They send out technicians that seem very unskilled. During my spring/summer prepaid maintenance service for my AC, that tech did not replace my filter. He had my system running without a filter throughout the summer months. For my fall/winter prepaid service, I explained to the tech I was having issues with one of my units and he claimed everything was fine; of course, that was not the case. Fast forward a few months later, the problem that I explained existed...worsened. I immediately called and asked that they send out one of their more seasoned technicians. Someone was out that same day. This technicians said that I needed refrigerant, at a cost of a little $400 approximately and that there was a leak detected somewhere, but he wasn't sure where since there was no visible signs. He explained that he would have to perform a diagnostic test for another $500 to locate a leak and that he couldn't promise anything. He said that if the leak could not be repaired since it was likely within the walks, that I would most likely have to replace. Him telling me I would need to pay nearly $1000 and there were still no guarantees, left me puzzled. As I waited and tried to wrap my head around the entire situation, the technician had his sales associate to come talk to me while he was still there so I could make a decision on what I wanted to do. The salesman tried to persuade me to purchase a new unit since mine was over 8 years and to use Peachtree Service Experts Advantage Program for the purchase. He was a typical salesman, fast talking. When I would ask him the cost of each piece of equipment, he would evade my question. He kept make this annoying and cringing statement: "I will get you bumper to bumper protection on your equipment". He acted like he was selling me a car. I asked him about the price again and reluctantly he said $23,000 ($213/mo. for 10 years. I'm like WTF (silently in my mind). When I told him how ridiculous that was, his happy go lucky sales face quickly disappeared. His body language told it all. When he realized that he wasn't going to get a fat commission check off of me, his entire demeanor changed. The next morning I called and specifically asked for the salesman supervisor and that I did not want to speak with the original sales guy. I was told by the representative that she was emailing the supervisor as we spoke and that he would call me back that afternoon. The supervisor never called. At this point, I decided to cancel my service and submitted my official cancellation notice in writing. Peachtree Service Experts acknowledged receipt my cancellation request and said that it was being processed. That same evening I got a call from that weird salesman, Justin Rubio (that I specifically said I didn't want to talk to), saying he saw my request for cancellation and wanted to know why. Well duh...SMH. I politely said I did not have time (that I had to get back to work). The next day this same guy texted me asking when it would be a good time to talk. I didn't respond. It's obvious PCE is no longer for me. All they want to do is push that Advantage Program on their customers for a ridiculous amount of money, locking you in some contract, to lease their equipment and never own the equipment. I end up reaching out to a couple other HVAC companies based on Trust Dale's recommendations and wound up purchasing through Shumate Heating and Air Conditioning. I was highly impressed by Shumate. They were straight forward (with costs & financing), installation was with ease, have a BBB A+ rating, and the lists goes on. Peachtree Service Experts is pricing between $8000 and $13000 more than their competitors. I say avoid PCE at all costs. read more

Please do NOT use Peachtree Service Experts (PSE). They purposely tried to rip my elderly mother off when her HVAC died last Wednesday, July 1, 2020. My mother called them because they're the provider she used previously. A PSE technician came out and inspected her unit. He pointed out 11 different supposed issues and quoted her a completely new HVAC system for $15,000 ($250 p/month for 10 years) despite her living in a medium-sized 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom town home. Thank God my mom called me before agreeing to it and we got a second and third opinion. However, she still had to pay the PSE technician $100 just to come out to look at her unit and quote her. We wound up using Diaz Heating and Air. Total cost of the new HVAC system: $4,200. SIGNIFICANTLY less than PSE and it works well! read more

I thought I had a great company, started out great. I signed up for their advantage program and they installed 2 new AC units which were running beautifully and I was extremely pleased. Until a month later when I had a problem.... Woke one morning to water dripping from my 2nd floor ceiling down into the walls. Turns out the AC pan in the attic overflowed. luckily we saw it to prevent and even greater disaster. (did I mention I had just gotten my home repainted smh...) Well they sent someone to fix the AC issue promptly...but the repairs to my ceiling and walls.... They sent someone out, but I was told by him that they are only repairing the ceiling, nothing else. So what about the water damage to my freshly painted walls or the water stains in the carpet. I told him to fix nothing until I spoke with them because that just couldn't be right. One month later... I'm still waiting for a supervisor to call me back after several calls from me. Very disappointed, as I said in the beginning I had a great experience with them but they are definitely lacking in customer service and trying to get out of repairing damages caused by what now seems like faulty installation. I am trying to be reasonable as my experience with them started out great but my patience is wearing thin so the next step will be to take further actions.... read more

STAY AWAY! These guys came out to my house for less than 10 minutes and decided my motor was bad but that I should replace my whole unit instead of investing more money into a broken unit. They charged me $100 for NOTHING. No diagnostic testing, NOTHING. When my landlord called to challenge their suggestion, the guy Zaeesh couldn't even articulate how he even came to that conclusion other than saying "I looked at it and its burnt, not moving. Peachtree S.E. just completed one of my 2 annual service visits. The technician, Tulasi was very professional and I am very satisfied with the work completed. Tulasi called before arriving to confirm my appt time and advised how long before he would arrive. He then arrived on time, he followed strict covid protocols, explained the service he would be completing and more importantly, he explained my systems status afterward along with explaining why my filter was more dirty than usual. I thought my experience was unique until I read the posted reviews. I was a satisfied longtime maintenance plan customer when my upstairs furnace stopped working. I could tell that the burner was not lighting. I was surprised that the repair guy, Adam Bull, brought a salesman/expert (Z) along with him. After an inspection they told me that my computer board was bad and would cost almost $1,000 for the part + labor with no guarantee. They said my very old 10 SEER, 3.5 ton, unit was rusty (showed me photos) and needed replacing unless I wanted to take a chance on a repair. They offered three units, one at $21,000 ($350/month), $17,000 ($270/month), and $12,500 ($250/month). I called out a guy from the small company that installed it and he said that it had a bad gas valve, was a 2 ton, 13 SEER unit still under warranty. I got the gas valve for free under the warranty (a $965 value which he handled) and he put it in for a small charge. It now works great and they said that it had at least 8 or 9 years of life left. Adam and Z told many untruths and pressured me to buy a new unit. I am cancelling my Maintenance Contract with Peachtree Service because I don't trust them to treat me fairly anymore. I would rate them with a negative star if I could. What has happened to America? In my opinion, stay clear! read more

I contacted Peachtree Services to come and look at my non-working HVAC unit. I was told the cost to come out and diagnose the system would be $99 and they would be there between 6 and 8pm that day. No one showed or called. The next morning I called and was told a tech would be out that afternoon. Two men showed up around noon. They looked at the system and handed me a bill for $195. They told me that $99 was the "trip fee" and that there was a $96 diagnosis fee. I told them what the rep on the phone told me . They said that was unfortunate that the rep on the phone told me the wrong price but now I was on the hook for $195. I told them this was unacceptable. They then offered to sign me up for a $20/month service plan and they would then honor the pricing I was gave over the phone. If you want honest upfront pricing I suggest you go somewhere else. If you want a bait and switch and someone attempting to strong arm you into a monthly service plan to honor the pricing they already agreed to then I guess give these guys a call. read more

Scheduled a call today, Wali and Tyler came out, told me my compressor has gone bad and my AC capacitors have gone bad and quoted me $5200, kept trying to sell me the Advantage Program for $200 a month for ten years. Charged me $82 to come and check the unit. I told them no and immediately called a friend who does commercial units, he came and told me a wire in the capacitor had gone bad and the unit was shut off by the previous guys that came and never turned back on. Replaced the wire and voila everything magically started working. Really Disappointed! read more

My experience with Peachtree has been positive. Our experience started with the sales rep, Jimmy! He explained everything, answered all my MANY questions, and was prompt in responding to text and phone calls! We had services from plumbing and HVAC. The plumbers came first. Installed what was needed, were polite, professional and courteous. The HVAC crew came next. First, they were unprepared for the task at hand and needed to reschedule. Since we were in no hurry, that was fine. As they got nearer to the end of the job, the technician needed another part that he didn't have. Again that was okay too! However, he told us he would not be able to come the next day because his wife was having a baby! When they returned, the job was done well, as far as I can tell, the techs were thorough, professional and respectful of our home. They covered the entire walking space as not to get dirt on our carpet. It is very difficult to find honest professional companies, but we have been pleased so far! In addition to the plumbing and HVAC services, we needed our AC unit to have the 1 year service tune up. After a little bump, we were able to get the unit serviced thoroughly! As a favor to us, the HVAC tech installed my Ecobee thermostat! My husband tried to oversee all of this since he knows a little about HVACs. Bottom Line! This is an amendment to my original post... Chris at the office has given me my money back. I used them initially from a recommendation and the service man they sent out was great. He has since left the company and now the service is awful. All they do is try to sell me a new unit. I've since had another company check out my unit and he said its fine. The last guy they sent to do maintenance told me that my unit did not have a place to insert the filter. He took a video to show me and he was looking at the back side of the unit where of course there is no place to put it. They charged me for a service call when nothing was done. When I had a new company look at my unit, he found that someone had drawn a large offensive picture on the side of the heater. How disrespectful can a company be. No one but Peachtree technicians had been up in my attic so I know it was one of them. I do not recommend anyone use this company! read more

Been a customer a very long time, but something has changed. Had them replace 2 hvac and hot water heater, do a ton of work on ducts etc but over this last year, after paying a monthly fee for the "soecial, upgraded, platinum customer" experience every month on time and in full for last two years, every time a issue arises it is days from my call before they have anyone who can come out. Don't buy the service contract if you expect "special" service or quick turnarounds! Y'all need to have less customers or hire more technicians. Shouldn't have to wait 24 hours when the basement has flooded due to the hvac or water heater they installed and service!!! read more

Talk about price gouging and extreme markups, this business leads the pack! I was charged over $250 just for a part which can be purchased online for less than $20! That's over a 12X markup! The technician did around 5 minutes of work to investigate the issue and replace the part. In fact, I told the technician what the issue was when he arrived, so no work was actually necessary to find the problem. All of this IN ADDITION to the fact that the technician never actually fixed the problem. As he left, I told him the controller board was showing an error, but he said "it's fine". Turns out the A/C was still broken and I ended up having to fix it again. I'm sure they wanted to claim it was fixed and then charge me again for coming out! On a 90° day I came home to both of my air-conditioners not cooling. My usual air-conditioning company couldn't get to me until Monday. So I googled heating and air condition and Peachtree came up with over 500, 5 STAR reviews. So I called, they sent a man out to tell me I needed two new AC that my air-conditioners were not worth saving and they would send someone out to discuss my options. Charged $99 and said they would apply it toward the new purchase. Hours later a salesman came out and gave me a quote, two new units at $13,000 each!! It cost me $99 but I must say that was the only hysterical moment of my bad day. I laughed at him all they way out to the door!!! These guys are white shirts. If you're not familiar with the phrase, it means they send you a salesman who acts like a technician. My tech tried to gaslight me into believing my system was not working, despite being in a house that was currently 72 degrees in July. He insisted I need an entirely new system and they could get me on a good payment plan (the total being around 15k). Odd since my system is only 4 years old and under factory warranty. While he was here he also points out I probably need to think about a new water heater, water filtration system, and duct cleaning. I paid 70 bucks to give them the opportunity to upsell me. The only 'maintainence' done was spraying the outdoor unit with a hose. Had a different tech from a father son company come out and recharge my freon for 250 bucks. Feels brand new. Avoid Peachtree, they are nothing short of a scam. read more

I have updated my review because I received a partial refund. However, I still feel that it is important I share my experience. I called on October 29, 2012, to schedule an appointment for routine maintenance between 6-8pm that night. My tenant waited for the technician to come. I found it strange that midway through the scheduled appointment time no one called to let me know they were on their way. When I called, the person I spoke to said there were 2 jobs ahead of mine and that the technician would arrive soon. Approximately 5 minutes before the end of the appointment window, the tech calls and says he is not coming because he is an "after hours" guy who is not doing maintenance calls - he is only responding to "no heat" complaints. I told him that was ridiculous because I had an appointment. He said, "Huh, that's weird because I have you down as an after hours call." When I told the technician I was going to post a negative review on Yelp, he gasped and said, "Uh oh," and then offered call the tenant and talk to her. Somehow, he ended up deciding to actually show up (after the scheduled appointment time). Then, he calls me and says it's going to cost $160 because he turned the furnace pilot light on. When I told him I had a coupon for a free service call with a repair, he said he could not apply the coupon without it being physically in his hand. That was going to be difficult for me, as I am the landlord, and I live 3,000 miles away. I asked if I could e-mail the coupon, and he said it was too late. C'mon - $160 to fix a broken pilot light? What a joke. That is a 5-minute job. After I posted my review on October 30, 2012, I received a Yelp message from the owner, who told me to call the regional office manager. I called the manager and left two voicemails. As usual, someone other than the manager called me back, and he called me at 6am Pacific Time. I can't even count the number of times I have asked them to note on my file that I live in California! Anyway, the man I finally spoke to at Service Experts apologized for the rude and unprofessional behavior exhibited by the service tech, and he applied my coupon to the service job (effectively refunding me $99). read more

Was calling around to get pricing on getting my air ducts cleaned. After a few questions, every other company gave me a price over the phone. When I called Peachtree I was told a rep would have to come out and give me a quote. They would be there in the afternoon and would call me an hour ahead. Got a phone call at 6:05 pm saying he could come tomorrow. I wasn't impressed and said that I had an appointment today that I wasn't interested. He said he had one stop not far away and would text when he was on his way. Noticed a text at 7:33, he arrived at 7:50. Wanted to look at my furnace which I gladly showed him. He said this looks new, I said I had replaced the whole system a number of years ago. Made a couple of comments on how it was installed then was done and we went back upstairs. My meter was already pegged when he proceeded to pitch my wife and me on some add-on units for my AC unit. Never looked at how many vents or returns I had then threw me a price out of $799 to clean the vents, double every other quote I received. Buyer beware, they have no interest in cleaning your air ducts, they are looking at selling you an AC system, what a scam!!! read more

I just paid these guys $100 to come out and take a look at my HVAC system. They quoted me $30,000 to replace my system!!! Keep in mind I live in a basic 900 sq. ft. 1BDR apartment and had the system replaced 6 years ago for a sliver of that price. Also after initially insisting I couldn't replace the coils and had to replace the system they came back with a $6,000 replacement quote vs. $30,000 replacement. Stay away!!! My heating system was broken again and I was told by Peachtree Heating and air that I needed a new circuit board and due to the cost, I should just buy a new system. I got a second opinion from Coolray. They fixed the system with a minor repair costand said my circuit board was fine. When I called to discontinue the service contract monthly fee, I was assured the ongoing charge would be cancelled. It was NOT cancelled. My husband and I have had ongoing issues with our new system that was installed two weeks ago. The initial issue was the drain continued to leak and cause the NEW system to shut off, which we were assured would be repaired completely when our new unit was installed. Obviously it was not. The entire weekend of 4th of July our system would stop working and then begin overflowing. We have two young kids who we had to send to my parents to get out of the heat. We had David come out twice over the holiday weekend who told us that our issue was resolved the first time, when it wasn't and stopped working on the 4th we absolutely called back requesting assistance. David was definitely no longer as friendly and told us our issue could have waited til tomorrow. Now we are no longer experiencing that issue, but our AC unit is not blowing cold air. Our old unit kept the entire upstairs comfortable and cool. This new unit is staying on, but it is muggy and absolutely uncomfortable up here. You can tell the difference between the first floor and basement floor. We have a new unit from Reliable for the basement floor and it runs beautifully, not to mention at a fraction of the price. I think the unit that Peachtree Service experts installed is the cheapest unit they could find. Oh and let's not blame our insulation because we have foam spray. I am so disappointed in this unit and the fact that it is sticky and warm constantly, I feel bad having my children sleep up here and am to the point I may have your Peachtree come back and take this unit out so I can get a reliable unit for a much more affordable cost. Not to mention the hole in the ceiling your guys stepped thru that was never brought to our attention and several gashes on my hardwoods from the ac units. I am so disappointed and if this cannot be resolved promptly will have Peachtree remove this terrible piece of equipment And yes I've already emailed your customer service address...I just want this addressed ASAP bc I am really tired of dealing with the excuses read more

The Tech. was very rude and very poorly represented him self or the company. Upon leaving, I was told I needed my duck work cleaned, and a UV light. I had my Duck worked replaced with in the past eight months. How did he come to this conclusion? Upon him leaving he didn't hand me the paper work, he through it in side our foyer. That same day I had called the Company, and was told his higher up would call me, "That didn't happen". I had a very disappointing experience with Peachtree Service Experts I called them to fix my heating system and they misled me about their membership plan and service fee. They said the membership plan was free and the service fee would be waived, but later I found out that both were false. They charged me a recurring fee for the membership and a $90 diagnostic fee that was actually $180 on my credit card. Abudul also arrived late for the appointment and wasted my time. He gave me an outrageous estimate of over $1000 for the repair, claiming that there were multiple issues with the system. He did not have the parts to fix it and said they would come back the next day. I decided to cancel their service and hire someone else who fixed it for $200 and found no problems with the thermostat. I do not recommend Peachtree Service Experts at all. read more

Suddenly one cold morning my furnace decided to stop working. Since I had a relationship with Peachtree Service Experts through the biannual HVAC service they perform, I called to request a technician. Stephen Kimani answered the call and had the problem figured out by thorough and thoughtful investigation. A wiring problem in my new thermostat (not installed by Peachtree) was the culprit. BEWARE OF ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS on Google They are not Real PLEASE GO TO YELP OR ANGIELIST.!!!!!!! I had this company come to my home to essentially replace my air duct. A salesman by the name of Eric Edmondson came to quote me a price he estimated the price to be $400 to replace both ducts I told him that that seemed very pricey for such a small job but he insisted that it was a complex job that would take up to 4 to 5 hours and clearly me being ignorant and believing what this man stated to me I agreed to this company doing the job. Because from my perspective he made it seem like they were doing so much and he convinced me it would take a very long time because it was going to be a hard job I agreed because it sounded like a great price for what they were doing but when the engineer got to my home to fulfill the job it took him less than 30 minutes to complete the job that Eric had told me was OH so difficult to do. When I brought it to his attention that it seems like he misled me when quoting the price and that the price was absolutely a finesse he stated it to me that the materials and labor is what I am paying for and he told me that they also arrange their schedule around to squeeze me in but this was not an emergency there was nothing wrong with my AC this was simply just maintenance or cosmetic if you will... so I thought it was ironic for him to throw that in. ALSO he said the duct that was being replaced in my home cost $280-300$ I looked up this exact brand it is called "royal flexible duct" and for a 6 foot duct it is only $40 and for a 4 foot duct it is 16$... Labor if that is 100$ Which is a whooping 146$ For the job but I think 250$ for this job would also have even been reasonable based on the time it took to complete and the material cost. I also spoke to the engineering manager who said that typically they charge 350$ each per duct no matter the size and he believed he was doing me a "favor" by only charging me an additional $50 for the 4 foot one. But truthfully he's missing the point clearly his job is to sell things and that's exactly what he did he sold a price and he made it sound great and it's really not about how long it took or didn't took it's the matter of the fact that in all reality this is not a $400 worth job but clearly this is a business and that's what business do so I should not have expected anything more from them I was bamboozled and it is what it is. read more

Parts cost more than double and they didn't even really fix my problem. I held off on giving this review, hoping that they would respond to my two calls to resolve the issues with a manager. I do not even know where to begin. As a long time client, I REALLY thought that this company was one of the best. Now I have come to realize that they are the WORST! I recently had an AC unit failure and when our home warranty company's selected contractor stood me up, the warranty company stated I could use the diagnosis that Peachtree provided as a starting point. No problem, right? WRONG!! Despite my multiple attempts to get them to correct their file, they not only continued to spout inaccurate information but also to LIE THAT THEY DID WORK THAT WAS NOT ONLY NOT AUTHORIZED BY ME BUT NEVER EVEN PERFORMED! This only served to make an already stressful situation WORSE! To make matters worse (yes I am being redundant!) if you can believe it, they made half hearted attempts to help me (which would have generated ADDITIONAL INCOME for them). STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN! I am CANCELING my service agreement! read more

I have used Peachtree Service Experts for years. For that last 5 years every appointment they send a salesman as well as the technician. If they can't find something wrong they try to sell accessories to your heating and air units. This time took the cake. Said I did not want a new system. fix the coil and add Freon. The salesperson said they were not "legally able" to do that . As if before spending $15,000 I wouldn't check. So yes, they can't sell old system, but they can fix existing ones. read more
