This review has been a long time coming due to not being a user of Yelp. Sometimes it can very biased. However, I'm a repeat customer of over 5 years in Claremont, I cannot give enough appreciation and commendation to Peak Pest Elimination. I certainly went through a few bids/quotes and have been happy camper for years literally. Here's why: Pros 1) 17+ years of experience while being a family owned business (Richard/Anthony) in both commercial and residential arenas (Professional business name with license on vehicle) 2) Honest, straight forward, no pressure, and no up-selling, very hard to find these days. No tricks on "secret formula" or package deal or "I don't know I'll find out" etc etc. 3) Fair price for high detailed quality of service 4) Chemicals used are discussed 5) Communication, recommendations if necessary, elimination and PREVENTION guaranteed Cons 1) Richard is getting more busy which is great! Details for my use were rat/mice control, spiders, ants, insects which are typical mountainous areas. After a few weeks of initially using Richard I could see immediate permanent fix, I do not see any pests in my first 2 weeks of initially using him. Peak is a great and effective pest control company. I started using their services by a referral over 15yrs ago. Living in Socal, we all have ant problems when the temperature starts heating up. I also have spiders & wasps, around the pool . I'm NOT one to tolerate any kind of discomfort, especially at my own home. I called and explained my issues and Richard, showed up within a day or so. My main concern were the chemicals , that he'd be using and can it be harmful for my dog's. He assured me that the were 100% safe and from that day forward I have had him treat my house yearly. He's so polite and professional and always on time. A few of my neighbors also use his services for their issues . His prices are very fair because as some of you know... I've just started using Richard quarterly for spray control in and outside of my home. I had a great experience just recently with him, we had fleas somehow find their way into my home with my 14, 12, and 2 year old twins from stray cats that like to get onto our trampoline. The first treatment that was done we weren't quite sure it was resolved. Myself, 14 year old son and 2 year old son twin kept getting bit. I contacted Richard right away with my concern and he got me in right away with his busy schedule and came and did a respray both inside and out. With no charge!!! You don't get that very often with companies, especially smaller ones, but Richard is a trusting man and I definitely recommend for those in his business proximity to contact him for any pest control issues. read more

Richard runs this company - I wish I could give him more stars! He treats the stuff that others won't touch, and certainly won't guarantee - bed bugs, mites, terrible cockroach infestations. He's amazing. Not only does he treat thoroughly and explain everything, he checks back with you to make sure the treatment has been effective. He retreats if the first doesn't nail it. The gentlemen was spraying the house next door to my house. I had ants like never before. I asked if I could get a price for a one time spray. He gave me a VERY reasonable price and I asked when his next appointment was thinking a week or two would be the first available. He sprayed my house right then. Richard is the best pest eliminator I've ever had. I got a lot of bites (like 10 to 20 bites per night) several months ago and tried everything I could to get rid of the mysterious bugs. However hard I tried, I can't eliminate them. They always came back after one or two weeks. I called four pest control companies, two of them said they can't tell what bug it is, one of them said it might be bed bug, and one of them doubt it might just skin allergies. I was guessing it might be bed bugs since we just came back from a long holiday trip, so I got quotes from those companies, and it was super expensive!!!! Richard was the last pest controller I called. He helped me identify the problem, assured me it was not the bed bug, and solved my nightmare after only one thoroughly treatment. The cost? Less than 200 dollars. Richard takes his clients seriously. He explains everything, educates me about the bugs so I won't get panic. He tried to save costs for his clients as much as he can. I unfortunately had an encounter with bed bugs last year that infiltrated one of the rooms in my house and was beginning to infiltrate another. I was in complete panic as I had been quoted by other exterminators over 2,000 dollars and still no guarantee that they would be completely eliminated. Richard made an appointment with my roommate to actually come view the house instead of just giving me a price on the phone. He was extremely flexible as I work night shift and have limited opportunity to meet for the treatment. He saw the situation and was honest. He quoted me a couple of hundred bucks and gave me the opportunity to have a free follow up inspection in a couple months after the extermination if I was still concerned. Richard gave me detailed instructions in how to prepare the house so that he could reach every area. He was calm and reassuring despite my anxiety. It has been six months since I had the house treated and no evidence of bed bugs. I have to say I just wanted to write this review because I have been completely satisfied with my experience with Richard's service. He almost always answers his phone, he virtually eliminated a significant roach infestation that was present in two buildings I purchased. The tenants are all VERY satisfied with him and the results. His pricing is very reasonable and allows me to use his services more often (once a month). I would say give him a try for three months and if you don't like him, go to one of the big brand names and pay much more. Bottom line is that Richard is a good guy. read more
