Had a great experience here. I came in the day before my Sister's wedding to get an acrylic set. I brought in a complicated design and even though the tech wasn't sure how to achieve it, she tried a couple of techniques until she figured it out. I really appreciate that she didn't just tell me she couldn't do it. The price is very reasonable, so tip your nail tech very well!

Excuse my awkward fingers... but wow! I love this place. I moved to the Phoenix area for 3 months for my rotations and wanted to check this place out bc I always drive past it. I'm so glad I did. Immediately upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the front desk who told me there would be a bit of a wait. I came on a Saturday and it seemed kinda busy, but the wait was not bad at all. I got a gel mani and pedi, all black, no designs and i have zero complaints. Def will be my go to place for the rest of my stay here. They were gentle and very detail oriented. I forgot the name of the tech who did my nails, but she was kinda young with very short hair. I'll get her name next time!

Came across this place on yelp and decided to try it out since I really needed to get my nails done before leaving town. I got a basic pedi with gel white polish and a full set. I get my nails pretty long and coffin style but not a lot of places can get the shape exactly how I want them. Jenny made sure to ask me if I preferred a thin coffin, which I do, and she did just that. She took her time on the shape and made sure edges were sharp and even. I rated it a 4 just because they were filed down a bit more than I'm used to but other than that I LOVE them. The color I chose was 125 Arctic Field, Total was $87 before tip.

I recently moved to Tempe and am so glad I found this place. First of all, I get SNS gel powder manicures every 3 weeks and I switch it up almost every time I go, so I need a place with a lot of color options. If you're the same way, then Pearl Nails & Spa will be the place for you. I've never seen a salon with this many SNS color options, and my girl said that's really what they specialize in. Second of all, I have never had a nail technician as sweet and genuinely caring as Holly!! She was the one that did my nails when I first tried them out back in May and I have gone to her 4 times since (3 manis, 1 pedi). She is literally the SWEETEST little muffin angel dumpling. I love her. You can tell she's still a little wet behind the ears because she takes a little longer than the other girls - but the way I figure, if I'm going to be sitting across from someone for at least an hour every 3 weeks, I'd rather that person be kind and attentive and take a couple minutes longer than give me the ole dead-inside stare of resentment that I'm used to from pretty much every other nail salon ever. Also, despite the fact that I have little sausage fingers, she always makes my nails look FIRE. Like, sassy-kween-boss-bitch fire (see picture). Third of all, I'm stupid and chipped two of my nails the day after getting my last manicure. I walked in and the owner fixed them right up for me (Holly was busy) quickly and for free! So yeah, you should go here.

I love this place, I actually relocated back to Arizona and I knew this place was my go to nail stop, I am sad to hear my favorite nail technician left months ago but happy to say the lady that did my nails did amazing!! I came here to get some birthday celebration nails and a pedicure. I got SNS nails with an added tip, I love love love how my nails turned out, they're strong, durable, and perfect for a vacation! I love that they have a bunch of color options which made deciding on one a great decision! Pedicure was your basic pedicure and much needed! Customer service is great here, returning next month!

I'm not sure what is going on here honestly. So many problems. The first and most frustrating is the scheduling. I needed a last minute mani pedi for a wedding this weekend and went in a little after 5pm. I was told to come back after 6 and they could take me no problem. Okay. I went back a little after 6 and waited for almost 40 minutes. Note that they close at 7pm. Another girl in the waiting room had actually set a 6pm appointment and was only helped a few minutes before me. I would have left but it was already late and I was pretty desperate to get my nails taken care of before an early morning flight. They have lots of color options for shellac nails for my manicure but a really odd collection of regular polish for my pedi. Lots of bottles that are almost empty or so old the polish felt like sludge when I tried to shake it up. Anyways. 40 minutes after coming back they start on my hands. I'm a little annoyed at this point but I'm just happy to get my nail situation taken care of. But towards the end of my manicure I noticed a bubble in the paint and asked my manicurist to correct it.. and they actually groaned and rolled their eyes at me. There was no way there would be time to get my pedi done before closing and my eye rolling manicurist clearly didn't want to stick around any longer. I told them not to bother with my toes and just paid for my mani and left. Overbooking is just bad business. Don't bother taking appointments if you don't honor them. Don't tell people you have time for services when you clearly do not. The eye roll was just the cherry on top. I will not be returning. UPDATE: my manicure didn't event last a week. What the hell?!

Always clean, the staff is always friendly. Kim does an amazing job, always!! I love this place. They have so many different choices for the SNS dip powders. I've been addicted to the SNS manis since my first time. I've introduced this place to multiple of my friends, definitely my favorite nail spot

So my experience was a little weird, with extreme highs and lows. Pro - the price is fantastic. I only paid $33 for an SNS manicure. It looks fantastic and perfect. Also I've never had a manicurist be so meticulous with nail shaping. My nails really look perfect. Con - four of my cuticles were cut so bad that they are bleeding. One in particular is really painful. Overall I'm torn. Other than the torn cuticles, it was probably the best manicure I've ever had. I think I'll try them again and see how they do next time.

Let me say, I used to love this place. I came here for years. One of the new male employees did my nails and really did a horrible job. I've always tipped well. But he knew he did horrible (he kept complimenting me to the point of obviousness) and he still basically signaled for me to tip him. In a weird like almost offensive way. Without fixing them. I don't like confrontation so I just said whatever. Well the day after my nail snapped off so I went back and the owner fixed ALL of my nails that HER tech horribly ruined. She charged me 20 bucks. After SHE commented how horrible they were (paraphrasing) Well that's fine ok. And how SHE wanted to fix them so they matched the nail she fixed.They looked stunning!! The owner is TALENTED! So at this point I'm like ok but low and behold less than a week after getting them they were breaking off. I spent a total of 150(more because of tips) within a few days for about 5 days worth of nails. Wow. I'm so sad for being treated like this by this place. Not to mention the slow decline in quality of service. Just wow. Why hire low quality techs? However my brow, pedicure lady was sweet, kind and really did great. But this just makes me feel taken advantage of. Sooo greedy and shady for a business. Like do you care that I've been a customer since before the renovations? Just no type of care whatsoever. So saddening. These pictures are 6 days apart. This place used to be the absolute best in the valley! Nails always lasted 2-3weeks at least.

Horrible experience. I chose a pink sheer color to match a dress I'm wearing for a holiday party this weekend. The color they chose a completely different color from the nail sample I showed them on their little nail card. My nails are freakin chrome!!!. I had to get back to work so I had no time for them to start over. I paid $78 for a nail color that I don't even like!. They wouldn't even give me a discount! Quality was terrible too they weren't even cleaned up around the edges. read more

They do not clean their tools! The tech I had used a dirty nail file and clippers on me. While my acrylic nails turned out ok(not good mind you) it made me nervous that the place was not performing basic steps to ensure a safe service. read more

My nails were done expertly, I love them. I travel a lot so it's nice when people take a walk in and do such a good job with someone they aren't familiar with. Only thing I would say is the tall chairs are hard for 60 year old women to sit on for extended periods. My feet fell asleep. But other than that it was great! I will remember them again next time I am in Phoenix! read more

The nail tech that did my pedicure was great but a different woman finished up. She wouldn't give me the flip flops to wear after, insisting my shoes were fine. I walked out and my nails got scraped by the shoes and I went back in to ask if they could be touched up since I had just left, but the woman said she didn't see any scrapes. Again, I asked for the flip flops and the woman refused. Now my nails look like they were poorly done because they are scraped up. Not worth the $40. read more

I was in desperate need of an manicure today and saw that Pearl Nails had great reviews so I decided to go since it was close to me. I was seated very quickly and had wonderful assistance on finding the exact color I wanted. The lady that did my nails got to work very quickly on removing my previous color. In the middle of removal, a man walked into the store and she immediately got up without saying a word and they proceeded to the back room in the salon. I sat there in complete confusion for around 20 minutes wondering why my nail lady just dipped on me. Finally they walked out and he quickly left the establishment and she just proceeded on my nails. Sounds to me like some sketchy activity might me taking place... other than that, LOVE my nails. Thanks!! read more

Went with a friend to get our nails filled, was happy about how nice the salon was , very clean. The staff was not friendly at all. I had a polish change with my fill. I still have the other color of polish in my nail bed and around my toes . Very tacky. Will not return.. don't let the pretty salon fool ya! read more

I've had many pedicures done and this place isn't it... I felt like the lady rushed and I've never felt a pedicure be so painful. She would clean the edges of my nails by digging her nails in between my nails and skin. She also cut me and didn't try to remedy the situation. Other nail places I've been to have offered me ointment for the cut whereas she didn't even offer to clean it. She just continued to tell me that my skin was cut. The paint job itself is patchy and uneven. She also cut my nails crooked and tried to tell me from her perspective it did not look crooked. I will not be coming back and this was overall a terrible experience. read more

I was visiting Tempe and decided to get my nails done. Read Yelp reviews and felt confident about going here. I let the nail tech know that one nail has a permanent split so it needed special care. I was chatting with another person while the tech was working and realized too late that she had removed my old gel polish with a dremel, instead of soaking. Final story: she took 2 of my nails down almost to the bed, including the problem nail. My once-strong nails are splitting to the quick. Also: the tech did not add the silk patch to the split nail as I had requested. Word to the wise. Don't chat, always pay attention, and don't be afraid to tell someone to stop destroying your fingernails. I did not contact the owner since there is nothing that can be done to fix my nails, other than waiting for them to grow out. read more

I mainly chose this place because I needed a new nail salon and they had the SNS treatment that I normally love! I waited 25 minutes after my 2:00 appointment before I finally got helped, then the lady that was doing my nails cut them way shorter than I had asked for. She did a good job evenly applying the treatment and covering the whole nail. But when I got home I realized the nails were crooked and not very even. Two days after they started to chip at the top, and now a week later over half of them are severely chipped, which should NOT happen if it was quality SNS. I was hoping they would last a good two weeks but they barely made it past one. Very disappointed, I will not be returning. read more

I live right near this place and decided to finally give it a try. My first impression was that it is SO clean and the decorum and everything was so peaceful. I was greeted right away and asked to wait 20 mins. That was fine, and it only ended up being maybe 10. The owner (I assume) came up and asked me if I knew about SNS gel manicure. I hadn't, so he told me that it is healthier and lasts twice as long as regular gel and doesn't require the UV rays to dry! (I was sold at that). I decided to try it. There were tons of colors to choose from, and the amazing nail tech Kim helped me choose a color, didn't rush me. I have VERY SHORT nails, I have a chewing problem, which is why I switched from acrylic to gel. But gel usually makes them pretty beat up as well. Anyway, she was SO gentle and sweet and took great time to not hurt me (like, they are really short). Her daughter was also there and is just a ray of sunshine, asked me if I wanted some water and talked to me. She showed me her SNS manicure and said it was over a month old! They were PERFECT except for the regular grow out at the top. The process of SNS is almost like acrylic, but different in the way that she paints a bonding gel on and then dips your finger into a powder, shaking off the excess. She doest that a couple times, it covers the nail perfectly, and it is HARD. It definitely won't be chipping any time soon! It took a bit longer but it is SO worth it. The staff was so nice and friendly, everyone making sure they at least said hello to me. The owner came and asked me how I was doing 2 times, and explained more about the SNS. For only a couple dollars more than a regular gel - completely worth it! I even did more research on the SNS and it looks like it's some amazing stuff. This place does an AMAZING job for manicures!! I always get compliments on my nails when I leave and the gel actually stays on until it grows out enough to redo them. Whatever they do to apply the gel works like it should! The only reason I knocked off a star is because of trouble with communication. Perhaps this is my fault for not relaying what I wanted clear enough. I asked for a color that turned out to be completely sheer and I asked if we could find a neutral color to use underneath to create an opaque look. We had only done 1 coat of the sheer color and proceeded with the nude over it. Then they explained they could not put the sheer color on top of that. (only the shimmer.. lol) I tried to understand why, but I still don't understand.. My manicure is not at all what I wanted, but it still looks great so it works for now.. read more

I really like this place! I've had 3 gel manicures and 1 pedicure and I've been impressed every time. Jenna and Holly are the best! My gel manicures could take me to about 3 weeks at the most, but I go back in at 2 1/2. My toes have been done for about a month now and they still look good! Great ambiance! Very soothing! Gel manicures are $28 and $33 if you want the white tip! Very affordable! read more

Went here for the first time the tech made no conversation at all it was so quiet then they assured me they could do a simple design when he is about to put on the nail polish turns out they don't have the color. This is why I asked first I am very picky and was already upset so I picked another color and now it messed up the whole design So he couldn't do it. I got coffin shaped nails and they look oval only one nail came out good waste of money not to mention he cut me 3 times never coming back here. read more

If i could give a negative to this place i would. I got a fill and after a week i got my nails done it chipped. I came back and the people inside were very rude and looking at me like i did something wrong when i just wanted to get my nail fixed. They didnt even apologize. If you choose to come here do not get assistance from the girl with short curly hair that sits at the very front or the girl that has a boy hair cut that sits at the very end. She just throw out tantrums when they want too. Its so sad!! read more

I had the nicest lady and she did such an amazing job. It was my first time going & I highly recommend this to anyone who gets acrylics! It was a little on the pricey side, but it was definitely worth the outcome! I went in for a fill and I was going to stick with my basic, white nails. But, I saw the variety of new colors and decided to go out of the box. I ended up with a dark pink color that changes color to white! I'm highly satisfied and will definitely go back!! read more

This place was great! I'm big on Yelp reviews but I usually don't write them because every nail place just seems to be meteocre and I leave Unsatisfied. I'm extremely picky and they actually listened to what I said and gave me what I wanted. Even when I had her keep making them shorter, she was nice about it and made sure they were perfect. They didn't even give me a hard time when I came in right before they closed. Offered to do my toes after they closed and all. It's safe to say I left satisfied and even got a hug on the way out! read more

This is my third time at Pearl Nails. The first time I went in for a standard gel manicure. My manicure turned out great so I returned two weeks later for another gel mani. The technicians suggested I try the SNS gel manicure which does not use a UV dryer and is supposed to be healthier for your nails. After two weeks my nails still looked awesome, I came in a week earlier than needed because I chipped one of my nails rather badly. When my nail tech took the gel off my nails looked so healthy, like they hadn't even had gel on them! Definitely going to continue coming to Pearl for my SNS manis! Not to mention, the attention to detail on cleaning up my nails has been on point each visit! read more

This place is amazing!!! They not only have the best service in town they have the best products, equipment and people! I used to do acrylic nails now I do the SNS dipped nails it is like gel nails but thicker like acrylic and just three dollars more then the gel. Hannah does my nails and she is so sweet. She talks with you and he always remembers you too. She does an outstanding job. I recommend everyone I know to go here and they are never let down! read more

Nice place came at 11:14 was told I had to make an appointment. So I did for 12pm and I didn't get in the chair until 12:21. Definitely not worth the wait. Short staffed for the 10 spa chairs that they have, they only use 3-4 at one time. read more

I tried this place because it has good reviews, I however didn't have a good experience. I got a basic pedicure with a sugar scrub. The massage and pedicure were fine. The actual painting of my toes wasn't. As you can see my big toe is actually peeling off the paint. In addition to that she painted the top of my toe with the top coat, though I've since gotten that off. Lastly both of my pinkie toes were only 1/3 painted. read more

I've come to this salon a handful of times and each time enjoy my services more. I'm very picky about the shape and length of my nails, but my nail tech was very thorough, quick and friendly. I was able to get a fill and great eyebrow wax in under 1 hour on a weekend afternoon. The customer service and skill of employees is excellent. This will definitely be my go to nail salon! read more

I absolutely love this place. I've always been able to walk in win a minimum of 10 minute wait. But I made an appointment for 3pm this last time and waited nearly an hour for a manicure. Clean, beautiful, and the best part is that the place doesn't reek of nail chemicals. I got the pearl deluxe pedicure package and my feet are now sandal/flip-flop ready for the summer! They take their time & pay attention to detail when doing gel. I got the SNS Gel. It's a powder gel that does not utilize the radiation machines. A nice healthy alternative!! I love my nails!! read more

Therefore, I researched the waxers on staff and saw that Alicia had gotten outstanding reviews, and specifically concerning my needs, and I have been going to her ever since. Alicia does so well, I recommended my best friend to go to her, since his girlfriend likes his face completely smooth, but, his beard grows in like mine, and her tips from each of us far exceed the paltry percentage she gets per customer from EWC. European Wax offers year long passes, where customers can go as often as necessary, and I since I need to go every two weeks to minimize the how much hair is being pulled at one time, I started getting those, since it would save a lot of money. I have five months left before the current year is up. My best friend also bought a year pass, after experiencing Alicia's skills and the lasting results. In the time I have been going to this location, the store has gone through SEVEN managers, with the latest one being Courtney, who has been there a month and a half. And now, Alicia is fired. Funny how the SIX managers BEFORE Courtney, did not fire Alicia, so, it should not take a rocket scientist to figure out who is the problem. Since my waxer is gone, one I trusted and counted on to do the job right (and we always have a great rapport), and I hold those in charge of the store, above the manager level, responsible, I will NOT be coming back to European Wax Centers, ever, for my business. She said she could not give out the numbers, but, had left a message with them about my, "concerns". Later, she called me back and claimed that I had gone enough times that there would not be any prorate left on the balance. I do not appreciate European Wax Center for bouncing Courtney from the San Tan Village location to the Tempe Market Place location, because she could not work and play well with others, there (funny thing about the internet, things of record NEVER go away), and I do not appreciate Courtney for firing Alicia when six other managers prior had the management skills to not fire her, nor do I appreciate her gatekeeping the contact information for her bosses. But, that's ok, I will find it and let them know what I think.

IM NOT SURE HOW YOU DON'T EXPECT TO WAIT AT LEAST 10-15 minutes for any appointment anywhere with any service--even the OB-GYN. These reviews/people below complaining about a wait? Who the hell do you think you are?? This business is clean and ran by a family for the most part. They do whatever they can for their customers--even get you in early TRUST ME. I am hard to please for the most part and am loyal to this business and any accept any flaws because they deserve it and they work to keep my business genuinely. I've always gotten great results and they always are consistent. They are worth the wait and worth the $$. I recommend them to all of my high-end clients and even have their cards in my lounge to hand to my clients because I know they won't disappoint. These people below with bad reviews can go try and find a better place. They will find something wrong there, too. Oh, and 'the man up front' IS HUMAN and deserves a little understanding and kindness. After all, he is running a business in the middle of Tempe next to ASU. This is my 4th time visiting Pearl Nails and I am thoroughly impressed. No matter who you go to, they are always friendly, fast, and great at their jobs. I have seen a different person each time I have visited and have been very please with my nails every time no matter what request(s) I have. I work in business and personal hygiene is very important to my bosses, therefore I hold my standards high for visual & professional purposes. They have not disappointed in any way. This time I saw Jenna, and she was wonderful. I won't lie, I was being a bit complicated in the beginning with what I wanted and she helped clarify everything and it worked out better than expected. Again, very pleased with the knowledge and customer service. Highly recommend to anyone, and keep in mind - high prices reflect high quality. My fill here this visit was $35 + tip. Lindsey is for all intents and purpose, a nail god . She whipped my sad little nails beds into some fierce talons that maybe envious of.
