I ordered a Wolf convection steam oven from Pearsons ( along with 4 other appliances for a kitchen remodel). They delivered and installed the incorrect model. When questioned, I was advised that the model I ordered was being discontinued due to quality issues from manufacturer. I called Wolf directly to confirm and was advised that that message was incorrect. I am still taken back that their response to an error they committed was to lie directly to me with no regard to service. It has been a week since installation, I have been to their store location twice to address and have not been given any resolution. I still have the wrong appliance in my home...have been told that only person whom can resolve this issue is Mr Steve Pearson...and am still waiting for a response from the owner. I am very displeased given their high reputation of customer service and that an order error requires ownership approval. At this point, I would be hard pressed to recommend this establish to friends and family...I purchased all my appliances for a kitchen remodel and this experience has left a bitter taste. read more

If you can be in love with the sales staff, I would certainly say I'm in love with Roy and Mark. At first I went to Friedmans in Pleasant Hill, before I knew any better, and almost gave up on the idea of being treated with respect and consideration by sales staff at an appliance store. Then I drove up to Pearsons based on the reviews on Yelp. Wow! What a difference! They were both friendly, respectful and helpful. They took their time, didn't rush me or ignore me (that was Friedmans) even though I didn't look like I was rolling in cash. I am going to order my Wolf duel fuel 48" range from them in the next few weeks, and I couldn't be happier. He quoted me the lowest price right away, without haggling. I feel confident about my choice thanks to their input. Roy also suggested several hoods and how to save money on that purchase, too. Ray called me the next morning to follow up on two questions I had that he couldn't answer concerning estimated delivery dates and specs. I'm so happy. Recently we had the pleasure of working with Devin in the Cordelia store, when we needed to purchase a gas range. Devin was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about the products, but what we specifically liked is that if he didn't know an answer, he excused himself and researched the product or called the manufacturer to get the answer. In our current worldwide situation, the supply chain is backed up with the possibility of waiting more than six months for an appliance. Devin was honest in letting us know he could not give us a specific delivery date but would keep us informed, which he did via email several times during the waiting process. We were greeted immediately and Roy pointed us to the specific models with the options we were looking for. I have been a faithful Pearson's customer for years, as I believe in shopping local and supporting local small businesses. I never felt the service was great, and prices were not low, but I still remained loyal. I just purchased a dishwasher In February, within two weeks it broke. I learned the following about Pearson's. 1. Even though I was told it was the newest and latest, it was actually from 2017. It was "new", but sitting in Pearson's warehouse. 2. They told me the only authorized repair company would not be available for a week. I found that hard to believe, so I looked on the internet and found a local Fairfield authorized repair company, who came the next day and it was covered under warranty. 3. The control panel was broken and needed to be replaced. Seemed strange for what was supposed to be a brand new item. 4. Pearson's charged $179 to install and remove the old one. I later learned many large chain stores install for free. Kitchen Aid customer service confirmed free install is common. Next time, I will check that out. 5. The salesman told me that dishwasher repairs are not an emergency, as I can wash my dishes. True, but not helpful when I just spent $1200 on a dishwasher. To sum up, my loyalty backfired... I paid too much, received an old, soon broken item, and was told it was not urgent to fix and the repair person would come in a week. read more

We felt valued as customers - and after the sale and before the delivery - he continued to answer our questions. Today, two young deliverymen arrived - Anthony and Joe. To get a large refrigerator into our home is like a major obstacle course. However, not one sprinkler head, garden light, deck plank, furniture edge or wall was marred in their delivery and installation. Everything was perfect! We are so very pleased with Pearson's. My mother and father in law only shop here for their appliances. I am more of a Costco kind of girl, but we needed a black refrigerator and a new washer/dryer. I completely fell in love with the Maytag Bravos washer/dryer set. I wanted a high efficiency set without the front loading washer. The washer is HUGE!!! (24 bath towels to be exact) Unfortunately it would run us about $1700 for both. Pat Pearson was really nice and printed us a quote to take home with model/spec info. I looked around and found the items for a cheaper price at Sears during their sale. Unfortunately we needed everything in a few days and it would take weeks to get it. I called Pat up and he price matched everything. We were able to schedule a delivery when we needed it. $60 for delivery but I got a $50 rebate credit. The washer/dryer came with a $200 PG&E rebate and a $100 maytag rebate. All forms were provided and explained by Pat. I could not be happier with my purchase. The fridge works great. The washer and dryer are to die for. I really have to go around to find random things to throw in it to fill it up. A load of whites consists of: 8 boxers 4 panties 6 shirts 24 pairs socks 6 kids undies 4 bath towels 4 hand towels It would hold more if I owned more white clothing. On another note, they sell televisions that are WAY overpriced. I didn't even consider purchasing one there. read more

Our refrigerator broke down last Friday. We decided to go to Pearson's in Fairfield. We've been there before but never purchase anything. Roy Pearson assisted us and processed our purchase. All went well. The new unit was delivered on Monday. Everything went well. The gentlemen that delivered the unit was polite and worked efficiently. The following morning we discovered a problem. No water coming out of the dispenser. We discovered the refrigerator was freezing everything at a setting of 37 degrees. We called Pearson that morning and was told someone would call us back. This is where things started to go south. We did not get a call back even after a second call. Finally, by the 3rd call near 5 o'clock, it was confirmed something was definitely wrong with this unit and would be replaced. Roy said he would call tomorrow to arrange delivery of a replacement. In today's call Roy sated he would give us their floor unit. When asked about a discount for the floor unit. We were told "I already took something off the original unit. When asked about compensation for the loss food, we were told to make a list to send to the manufacture. Roy was willing to give us loaner while we waited for a new unit. I again asked for any compensation for our lost food or time spent he said he said we could return the unit and go elsewhere. This definitely made it clear to us that he could care less if we keep our sale and as customers. Not once did he say he was sorry and showed any empathy towards our situation. I realize their intent is not to sell defective items; however, a simple "I'm sorry" or "what can I do to help you" could have changed our mood and possibly have us as loyal customers. I purchased a GE refrigerator from Roy Pearson in their Cordella store. Roy and his staff were extremely knowledgeable and they are price competitive. This refrigerator is for a rental that I own in Napa. The first delivery was on time, but due to my error the refrigerator would not fit in the slot where the old refrigerator had been removed. Pearson's delivery men fortunately had not unloaded the new refrigerator and went all the way back from Napa. I ordered the correct refrigerator and two weeks latter Pearson repeated the delivery. I offered to pay for my mistake, but Pearson staff only charged me for the difference in the cost of the two refrigerators. Pearson's service & knowledge of the products are a welcome reward in today's big box store mania. read more

I thought family-owned appliance stores had gone the way of the woolly mammoth. But the Pearsons are friendly, helpful, organized (Pat was the only one to call me to tell me about an upcoming sale). My wife and I purchased a Whirlpool Gold French Door Refrigerator here in October 2013. The sales and delivery of the unit was great! In August 2014, The icemaker clogged, then the next day the compressor died and stopped keeping the refrigerator and freezer cold. Of course this happens a few days before we host a big birthday party, but anyhow. I call Pearson's and speak with Roy, he tells me that he can not do anything and that I have to call Whirlpool. I did purchase the extended warranty,however Whirlpool has to take care of any issues up to the first year. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! The appliance repair company is out of Pittsburg and they showed up at the house, forgot parts, broke a water line. The compressor had to be replaced and the evaporator motor and then the water line from the valve box to the icemaker (technicians mistake, he broke the water line). Now our icemaker is leaking water, not fixed, we are on our 5th service call. The appliance repair company doesnt offer convenient repair times. I would have thought that a compressor going out within the first year would warrant replacement of the unit, obviously NOT! I spoke with Roy and basically they will not do anything for me. I would think that a local, family owned business would want to take care of their customers. This was the first appliance that we had purchased with Pearsons's, and I can tell you that this will be the last. The repair companies mentioned that if we had purchased from Best Buy or Lowe's that the retailers would most likely just replace the refrigerator due to the hassles with the appliance repair company and the appliance failing in less than one year. Bottom line...I will not purchase from Pearson's again, nor will I purchase another Whirlpool. read more

He asked me what I wanted- I told him and he directed me towards the right machine for me. I really appreciate that he did not attempt to talk me into something I really didn't want or up sell me either. It arrived and the first load there was something bad wrong. I called and spoke to Julienne who listened to the noise over the phone! His first response was to set up a pick up and delivery of a new washer asap which he did. I was blown away. My built in refrigerator bit the dust about three days before a big party I was having at my house. Called all around looking for a replacement and none was to be found. Pat Pearson gave me a great deal on a replacement and had a loaner delivered to my house the next day in time for my party so we had some refrigeration capabilities for the party and until my new one arrives. I will admit that Pearson's knows their products, and I was happy with their installers. However, if you have an issue such as missing parts. You will get no help from Pearson's. I ordered a microwave; however, it was missing a couple of parts. It took 2 months for Pearson's to get the parts to me. That is after I had made numerous trips to their store asking for the parts. When the parts arrived one was still wrong. I checked with Pearson's and they did nothing. I was able to search on the internet, and had the correct parts in 5 minutes. I will be in the market for additional appliances this year, but will not be shopping at Pearson's. read more

I returned the new and unused refrigerator, within the first 10 days, when Pearson's could not complete the install and they refused to return our money. We are repeat customers of Pearson's, and went there to buy three appliances in January of 2015. As usual, the owners were very friendly and we closed a deal on the appliances. That's where the feel-good experience ended. The Maytag washing machine that they sold us stopped working after seven weeks. When we called Pearson's for help, the owner (Roy) ended up in a yelling match with my husband about the fact that he didn't have time to deal with our problem appliance. When I called him he had the same attitude, and he and I ended getting into our own yelling match, with him eventually informing me that he had customers in the store who were more important that me. Verbatim. The result of all this is that I had a brand new appliance that only worked for seven weeks, and which took FIVE WEEKS to get repaired. I had to deal with Maytag/Whirlpool directly, who were even worse to deal with than Pearson's. Bottom line: the guys at Pearson's don't give a crap about their customers, and even went so far as to tell us they they will be retiring soon from the appliance business. Buyer Beware!!!! read more
