Excellent. Busy, convenient location right off I-5 next to a Chevron and a 76 gas station. Big red barn with a lot of nice produce and bulk snacks at reasonable prices. Tamales, too. This place is the best! Conveniently located off I-80 and Pedrick road, it has plenty of parking and is near a few gas stations. They have every dried fruit, nut, and seed you can imagine, along with chocolate covered items, candy, and delicious homemade corn nuts in different flavors. Their fruit is absolutely delicious and so cheap! I always go to get my strawberries, peaches, and nectarines here because they are unrivaled! Great place to stop for produce and a whole lot more. My Mom says they have the best green beans she ever had. They have a huge selection of different dried fruits and nuts to pick from and even salamis. Drinks, Candy and don't forget to get some fresh hot tamales, they are awesome. I wish Pedricks was closer to rocklin where I live. Every time I go back to Vacaville to see my parents, I always stop here and stock up on their seasonal fruits. They offer really good prices for their fruits and their fruit never disappoints me. It is always the sweetest and tastiest fruit no matter what kind of fruit I buy. My bf and I recently tried their pork tamales and those were very good too. Now, when I pass by, I always have to get a dozen of those too! read more

I grew up in the mountains so moving to the valley has been awesome!! We've been to Pedricks several times. I've never been disappointed. Depending on the season determines what is on sale. I can find produce here much cheaper than the grocery store. For instance, right now artichokes are 3.99 each at Safeway. Here, they're 4 for 5.00!! Score. They have a wide variety of any fruit and vegetable you can think of. Plus, they have nuts, all kinds of nuts. There is a wide variety of dried fruit as well. If you have a sweet tooth, there is a nice selection of chocolate nuts, peanut butter cups, chocolate honeycomb, I could go on and on. One of my favorite things to get is the fresh licorice for sale. After having fresh, the stuff you get in the store can't even compare. Employees have always been kind. They're very accommodating and willing to help. I have been going here since I was a young child with my mother. Now I am 33 years old and I take my young son with me. I was away for a few years due to military but now I am at Travis and stop frequently for fruits and veggies and I usually take an entire box back to the unit and its gone in the same day. I've been a regular for ages but hadn't been in for quite awhile. They recently sold to new owners and I wanted to check things out. I went in on Monday to fill up on the basics. A young woman named Selena assisted me, she was amazing. She knew so much about the products, where they're sourced from and when to expect new shipments as well as the history of the store. For 5 years, I have seen the signs along I-80 advertising this place. For 5 years, I have seen prices of fruit advertised on the signs at ridiculously cheap prices For 5 years, I have ignored this place. Until today. On the way to Benicia, we stopped for some road fruit and to fill up on gas. They have an amazing selection of fruits and vegetables that are in season and ALL of it is local! The nectarines were so juicy I was gonna die! I don't think I will ever buy a fruit or veggie from Safeway again. We stopped by Pedrick's on our way home from camping, as we always do. I had to re-stock on my pumpkin seeds and corn nuts. Well, I did my shopping and came outside to load everything into the truck and dropped one of my bags of corn nuts. It split open and spilled a bunch on the blacktop. The birds will be in Heaven, I however was really disappointed . I took them back in to the store to see if I could get a bag to save what was left, I said "excuse me, I..." the gentleman said "oh here, let me take that. Why don't you grab another bag off of the shelf ". I was so thrilled!!! I was just expecting to get a bag! What EXCELLENT service!! In a day when common customer service is really suffering, it's so wonderful to see that in some places, it's alive and thriving! He will probably teach his children so it will perpetuate itself. A nice place much like other Farmers Market Stores. The staff was very nice and lots of parking.

There are not many, if any, produce stands that are worth stopping at in the Sacramento area. Pedrick is the one exception. Everytime I drive back from San Francisco it is a must stop to fill up with great veggies and fruit which are far better and cheaper than you will ever find at Safeway or Raley's. Yesterday we saw prune plums at .99/lb. Try to find them at any price anywhere else at any price! The young girls behind the counter are always friendly and greet you with, " Did you find everything you were looking for"? I can't understand how one negative reviewer said they had an "attitude". Maybe the attitue was outgoing rather than incoming if you catch my drift. read more

When my family used to go up to Tahoe when I was a kid, we would stop off at all the roadside attractions like the Nut Tree (gone), the Milk Cow (gone) and Apple Hill (will probably be a subdivision soon). Pedrick's doesn't really replace the Nut Tree's little tins of nuts and chocolates and colorful gingerbread cookies, but it is one of the best roadside produce stands in Northern California. They have a horn-a-plenty full of fresh produce, nuts, chocolates and all kinds of trail and snack mixes. They also make homemade tamales. This has been a consistent stop of mine for many years. The last time I was in Ysenia showed me some of the best customer service and went out of her way and found exactly what I was looking for!! From fresh produce to the most amazing sweet/salty/savory snack choices and one would be remiss not to mention the Wall of Flame . They have the most extensive collection of hot sauces I've ever seen and if you want the hottest available ask for the super special stuff, but you will have to sign a release. The drive is SO worth it to get fresh organic produce you can't find at your local Safeway. 49c for yellow peaches 99c for pluots 19c for a GIGANTIC watermelon (where else can you find watermelon for this cheap?!) amid tons of other fresh vegetables, nuts, chocolate, ice cream, and herbs. Pedrick Produce is definately a great place to get in-season, locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as, nuts and dried fruits at reasonable prices. Generally speaking, with the exception of Larry's Produce (which is only open seasonally), Pedrick Produce seems to have the best prices around. My only complaint is that they don't always have ALL the in season items I am looking for. Today I wanted strawberries and cherries. I got a huge box of Strawberries for 7.99 ... but alas ... no cherries. read more

This is probably the most popular produce stop between the Bay Area and Sacramento. It's constantly full through the weekends. Folks looking for fresh produce, hot sauces, spices, pies, nuts and candies. You can usually find the produce to be high quality and fresh. I've found hard-to-find Maui Gold pineapples, giant avocados and the sweetest oranges. The one thing that keeps me stopping is their summer pies. Apple, berry, cherry, even peach pie. All so good. The prices are comparable to a higher end market but the quality is there. They do have great specials though. If you're into old style, roadside farmer's markets, pull over for Pedrick Produce. Basically in-season produce in bulk. It's a really good place to go to if you have a large family or if you just really like eating a lot of fruits and veggies like me hehe. The place is pretty easy to spot. Just get off on Pedrick's Road and you'll find the warehouse right ahead. Their selection of produce is pretty big, but whether or not it's cheaper really depends on if it's in season or not. If it's in season, it can get REALLY cheap! Last time I went here I got a 10 pound bag of oranges for $3! My boyfriend got a 5-pound bag of potatoes for $1. :) They also sell stuff like firewood and nuts! I've seen almonds and pistachios and cashews roasted and seasoned in so many fashions here. They have stuff like okra chips and stuff too for the health-conscious people who want to much on some veggie chips. Last time I went they were giving out samples and I personally didn't like the flavor, so I skipped on that. Another thing they sell is chocolate I've seen chocolate almond bark and chocolate peanut butter cups. I can't personally attest for how good it is, but it's always very tempting., The people are nice here and it's definitely worth the drive here especially because the gas prices of the Chevron right next to it is like $0.10-0.20 cheaper than that in the Davis/Sac area! read more

This is the best fruit stand in Northern California or possibly the United States to buy top quality produce and nuts. My favorites are: pistachio nuts, white nectaries (June), peaches (July), watermelon and strawberries (April). I also like to buy pecans, walnuts and pine nuts here for cooking. If you find yourself on Interstate 880 headed toward Tahoe, don't forget to stop at "Pedrick Farms" between Davis and Dixon. They also have some killer soft flour, thick and fresh tortillas. read more
