Their wait staff was friendly, but the bar tender (who wasn't busy) seemed abrupt. The cheese dip was good but the chips were unsalted room temperature and stale. We ordered a margarita and Bahama mama, decently priced but tasted terrible (even with bottom shelf ingredients drinks can still taste good, these were bad) The bean burrito I ordered was okay, the rice and beans were decent but under seasoned and the Carnitas my husband ordered were over cooked and greasy. There are good Mexican nearby skip this one and head down to Hudson Bridge to one of the several there. read more

PATHETIC!!! Went to Pedro's to pick up a TO GO order. Ordered 4 "taco asados" with LIME. Got home and had ONLY 3 tacos. The manager was "kind" enough to offer me a CREDIT. WHATEVER!! Their menu includes traditional favorites (nachos, tacos, etc.) and some great new twists with Mexican flavors featured. We like to go there for family birthdays and other celebrations. The wait staff is welcoming to large groups and the kitchen does a great job of getting all of those orders out quickly. Pro Tip: If you are counting calories ... try one of their skinny margaritas. read more

The food used to be actually decent, but the past few times we have eaten here it was really bad. I'm not sure if they've had a lot of cook turnovers in the past year or maybe new management. There are not a whole lot of sit down choices close to here, so you're limited. I will make a 15-20 minute drive elsewhere for better mexican. read more

On Friday, August 17th, my husband and I and our 3 kids went to Pedro's for dinner. When I got the check, the server, "Jocelyn", added 18% gratuity to our check and FAILED to let me know. FORTUNATELY, I did recognize the addition and DID NOT double tip her. Her BAD!!! I typically tip about 25%. I will continue to go to Pedro's, as I have been a patron since 2011 and I appreciate the long-term staff like Larry, Ricky, and the hostess, Livi. I am, however, disappointed in the UNETHICAL practice of "Jocelyn". I encourage Pedro's to check her sales on Friday night to determine if this is an ongoing problem!!!! read more

My family and I eat at Pedro's Taco Shack two or three times a month, often after church. Our Sunday School Class has also held some luncheons there as a large group. The food is good. The service or rather lack there of, is another issue. Today, we received the worst service so far. Our waiter did not give us his name, he was a young man and seemed not to speak English very well. Our order was incomplete not getting the guacamole dip we requested twice. We asked for napkins twice as well and did not get them either. Our drinks and chips did not get refilled at any point. Our waiter never returned to our table after the initial drinks (sweet tea) were delivered. My wife spoke to the Manger, who did come over and tried to make things better. I asked for the check and to go boxes as I was ready to leave at this point and we had not ate more than a third of our meals. Our drinks and chip basket needed refilled. I talked with the manager and he did discount our meal. I did not ask for this and it which was appreciated. However he charged us for the guacamole dip that we did not get!!! Pedro's is a great place. I've always been very happy with the food- and especially with the service. For local Mexican places- just like all of the places around here, the food is heavily Americanized. That doesn't mean it's not delicious. Everything I've had at this restaurant has been extremely tasty. My wife and I are regulars both in store and for pick-up orders. Pedro's is especially awesome when it comes to grilled steak menu options, they beat everyone in the area.... with the exception of San Diego's in Locust Grove which is just a 'little' bit better. The servers are really great and treat guests the way they should be treated. Super friendly, and you can tell they really want you to have a good time. Occasionally food for pick-up is a bit under-par, and that's my only complaint. You guys all do a great job, and the food's fantastic. read more

I stopped coming here several years ago because of a poor experience. Out of desperation because my regular Mexican restaurant, Two Amigos, was closed, I decided to give Pedro's another chance. Well let me tell you, there was a reason I never went back. I placed an online order, paid for it, picked it up, got home and guess what? They gave me the wrong order. I called and spoke with the manager Martin and told him I would be returning with the food and expected a full refund. After I arrived, he did not apologize, said nothing to me and just gave me my refund receipt. After that, I told him I would be "Yelping" the hell out of them. Do yourself a favor, don't patron Pedro's, unless you want to get screwed. read more

Oh yeah and the food is great. We love the entire staff . They know exactly what we want as soon as we walk in. The bar staff is very friendly and a hoot to be around. They have trivia on Tuesday and karoke on Thursday. read more

Food was great I went yesterday on 10/9/15 had great service but had a drink at the bar waiting to be seated bartender was rude. We've had her before and she's very short and un delightful. This use to be my favorite place to go, but lately the food quality has gone down, and the wait staff is horrible. Today was the first time I've been back in over a month. I use to go once a week, and sometimes twice. But I wanted to see if things were hopefully getting better, so I tried them again today for lunch. Unfortunately, no such luck. As I walked in, I was greeted by what I am assuming is a new waiter to this restaurant, by the name of Thomas. He took my drink order and I also told him I wanted a large bowl of queso with jalapeños. Before I even finished telling him what I wanted, one of the waiters I usually have placed my drink on the table, and told Thomas to bring me a large bowl of queso. I'm guessing Thomas either wasn't paying attention to me, or his coworker, because he brought me a small bowl. I told him that's not what I orders, he surprisingly said, you want the large bowl? After we cleared that up, I had to wait about 10 more minutes before the bowl I ordered came out. Instead of bringing it right too me, Thomas decided to stop at two tables and chat with the customers before making his way around to me with my queso. As he placed it down, he asked if I was ready to order. I told him I would like to enjoy some of the queso before I order, so he walked off. 10 minutes later, after making his chat rounds, and sitting at the table in front of me with a women he clearly knew, he asked if I needed anything, to which I said napkins. I had been there going on over 20 minutes and he never brought me napkins, nor I ever receive silverware. On a typical visit, I like to order the large bowl of queso, eat about 1/4 of it, then order my food. I usually get a grilled chicken burrito, with lettuce, tomato's, and jalapeños in it. I eat about half of the burrito, and take the rest home with some chips and the leftover queso for dinner that evening, or lunch the next day. But that wasn't the case today. Today, I just had the queso, because Thomas was slow and not very good at his job, and because the chips tasted old and burnt, on top of the bowl of queso I received was not very hot, and most of the cheese was hard and clumpy, like it wasn't heated up all the way to melt. This place has steadily gone down in quality and service and I don't understand why. The new waiters seem incompetent, and not very motived to get you taken care of in an accurate, and timely manner, and they're just getting weirder. The waiter I had the last time, was a young blonde haired kid, that just kept staring at me. My daughter was with me, and she kept pointing this out to me. I don't know who does the hireling here, but maybe this isn't their strong suit. Anyway, I want to give this place another shot because they are so close to my home, but with the experiences I've had lately, I don't know if I can bring myself to come back or spend any money there. read more

Good lil Mex joint. They give you two different versions of salsa. Chips are decent not great. If you like spicy get the El Diablo, it's very good and has some great veggies. Service is fast and they keep your cup filled. We try to eat there pretty often. read more
