I have been here a few other times and wasn't impressed, but tonight was a total food euphoria moment. I ordered a shrimp taco and a carne asada taco. I was expecting them to be small like "street tacos" but was blown away by the size of These puppies!!! Full of fresh deliciousness, seasoned to perfection. The shrimp tacos had a good amount of shrimp and the dressing was one of a kind. The carne asada had at least 3 tacos worth of meat in it and the guacamole was amazing!!! Had my kids stealing little bits that fell out!! Don't even get me started on the delicious tortillas!!! Most places that double tortilla their tacos, all you taste is tortilla! Not this place! I may give this place another chance and try something else but when you have taco sauce packets that already is a clue that it's iffy. What is this Taco Bell???? I have tried this location a few times, the potato tacos were great the first time I was here, however their food is not consistent at all. The people who work here are usually pretty stupid ( sorry but it's true) and the management is RUDE. The carne asada is absolutely disgusting literally the worst I've ever had. It has some weird seasoning that I can't seem to place but it's definitely not a Mexican food flavor and it dominated the flavor. I was grossed out after just a few bites. The carne asada fries are great here cause I love the meat but today there are a new cook and cashier. I've been ordering this all week last week and today it's taste like "mush" cause from the drive thru you see your food being made. The fries came out of the fryer and put into the container than she used both hands to shuffle the fries of which that glove has been touching so many things. I see the cradle of meat and cheese and than straight into the microwave. For a couple of mins than once it comes out scoop of guacamole and a scoop of liquid milky sour cream. That's not how sour cream is suppose to be. Well I love this item but when you put in the microwave the fries are mushy and the meat is super dried my guess the meat is not ready so once placed in the microwave the meat and cheese is melted and you basically made the fries mushy and the container hot. I love Pedro's!! I'm a Fallbrookian...so I remember the days when this place was an ice cream shop I would stop by after school. But I am happy to see Pedro's as a replacement because they have such great food! My favorites are the fish tacos, carne asada tacos, and the quasadillas. I love the quesadilla here because they don't put too much cheese. It's always the perfect amount. Ask for some free stickers! I am a major Pedro's fan...even have a sweatshirt. Pedro's is tasty goodness; it's not the most authentic mexi but it's all cooked properly and tastes fresh. It's kind of a stoner's menu, lots of fried stuff; the prices are very reasonable. The red chili is really good. read more

I won't go here for one main reason...no hot sauce! A Mexican food place that doesn't offer hot sauce is like a car wash that doesn't use water. Those sauce packets this place offers barely taste good on 7-11 frozen burritos. And get a credit card machine for cryng out loud, it's almost 2013! This place was OK. I got a taquito combo which comes with 3 taquitos, rice and beans. The shredded beef in the taquitos was tasty. However, the rice and beans were blah. California burrito in my opinion is the worst in the area. First it's with hash browns not fries so instead of it tasting like a bad California burrito it tasted like a bad breakfast burrito. Great fish tacos.....they are big in size and packed with a nice piece of fish and a ton of cabbage and pico de gallo. The mexican creme fraiche sauce is pretty good, and I am not a fan of white sauces in general. They also have a good salsa bar, where you can add some heat, which I do think it needs. Living in this community I believe in buying and supporting local businesses. Today I decided to try Pedro's Tacos. I had the carne asada tacos combination plate. I am so sorry to say it was such a disappointing dish. The meat was heavenly seasons with citrus and spices, it lost the integrity of the taste of beef. The beef was also boiled instead of having the traditional "Asada" taste and texture. The tortillas were soggy and the taco disintegrated as I picked it up. The beans lacked salt and were dry. The rice was bland and had large chunks of bell pepper. I wish this could have had more traditional flavors. read more

We used to love Pedro's Tacos when we lived in Fallbrook, so when we were there for a visit, couldn't wait to go there for lunch. First off, they serve food you eat with your hands, but have no restrooms to wash your hands - what's with that? They used to let me go in and use the bathroom, but now there is a sign "No public restroom." We got traditional fish tacos and my husband also wanted a burrito and asked the gal which one was best and she suggested fish. What he got was a fish taco wrapped in a flour tortilla instead of corn tortilla for double the price, he did say that there was an extra piece of fish! Don't burritos usually have beans/cheese, maybe even some rice along with meat? I don't know what happened to them, but unfortunately, they've ruined the tacos - for some reason they put way way way too much cabbage with way too much sauce in the taco, (no recipe?) the balance of flavor with the fish is gone because of so much cabbage/sauce, in fact, you can barely taste that there is any fish at all - you can't close the tortilla very well and it is a huge wet mess - again, with no way to wash your hands. All I've had here are the breakfast burritos. Weird that you have to pay extra for cheese. Also, they use square frozen hashbrowns. The salsa is prepackaged and mediocre. I've definitely had better--though it tasted better Robertito's' breakfast burrito. read more
