I was craving a strong coffee yesterday morning and found that the closest Peet's Coffee to where I was going was located in the Arden Fair Mall - it is not located in the actual mall which is nice and parking is endless. The inside was pretty big - lots of tables and even some comfy chairs and couches. I ordered 2 Medium Black Ties, a Blueberry Muffin and a Frittata to go. Everything came out fast and tasted great. What can I say, this Peet's is my home base for coffee! Service is always impeccable and the ambiance is calm with music from 80'-90's mixed in with current hits. The bathrooms and tables all around are constantly attended too and clean. If you need a place to do your college work this is the place! I came in super early. The staff were helpful, I hadn't worn my glasses and couldn't see the menu. I ordered two breakfast items, croissant and an egg white something. Both delicious and hot. The three young ladies working on Thursday morning, 7/24/25 were more interested in talking to each other than customer service. The baked good I ordered was only slightly warm, so I asked if it could be warmed up as I had been offered. I was told no. They couldn't take it back. They would have to give me a new one. Then they turned to the other two women & complained about me. I didn't want to waste food, so I did not ask for a new one. I didn't deserve to be mocked for their mistake. read more

Got a ham and cheese sandwich and a small iced mocha. After awhile of eating and drinking both, I felt something slurped up in my iced coffee and figured it was a piece of the sandwich from my mouth. It was not. It was a dead fly. I did not see any other fly in this location and the fly was already dead. I don't think it went down the straw and it wasnt at the top of the drink. I havent had an issue here before, but feel the staff should pay closer attention to issues like bugs. read more

It's not very often when we end up at the good old Arden Fair mall, but we decided to dine at the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday. After the festivities were over, I spotted this Peet's Coffee shop close by, and reminded Joe K, that he was out of his favorite blend of coffee beans that only Peet's can satisfy his discerning taste for that perfect morning cup. (Well, I didn't have to say it in so many words, he already knew). We were full from eating our fill at the nearby restaurant, or we would have stayed to relax a bit and enjoy the calm atmosphere of this deliciously aromatic coffee shop. We received friendly, professional and efficient customer service. A nice, clean, comfortable place with indoor and outdoor patio dining.   FYI: When you buy a pound of coffee, you get a cup of free hot coffee along with it! read more

I just had their new Southwest plant based burrito for breakfast -- the best 380 cal with 21 g of protein I have ever had, at what could be considered a fast food joint. Light, flavorful, light crunch--D'Bomb Heated it up; popped it in the teeth chamber and 20 minutes later my mouth is still dancing from flavor. What a great find. I'm a first time Peet's coffee drinker. This place was a couple of minutes away from where I was staying. I love the smell of coffee. It's very soothing to to me, but nothing beats a good cup of black coffee to get my morning started. I decided to try the caramel macchiato during mu first visit. I needed something a little sweet for the drive to penn valley which was about an hour away. I loved it. It was served nice and hot and was delicious. I also had a butter croissant. Yum! The croissant was buttery and paired well with my macchiato. I loved their coffee so much that I went back the following day and had a medium roast coffee and a cheese danish. The cheese danish was good but the coffee was a cup of nothing but goodness. It was hot and not too strong. It hit the spot. The staff is very nice and get you in and out without rushing you. They were all very warm and inviting. They had my drink and pastry in no time. This is my go to coffee shop up north. Love Peet's coffee. Now to find one out here so I can continue to get some good coffee. I bought a bag of their coffee and my local grocery store so I can enjoy their coffee at home. read more

I used to stop by Peet's a lot, before the Covid19 pandemic/when I was not yet eating vegan. Their coffee is A1. Their roasts are so much better than another really popular coffee shop's roasts. Do not sleep on Peet's coffee!! When the pandemic hit, I started making more of my own coffee at home. Their competitor was offering free coffee for Healthcare workers at a point in time. I admit that made me disloyal and went to back to that popular, overpriced, flavor lacking coffee shop for awhile. LOL. I stopped by Peet's to grab some iced coffee before hitting the freeway for a day trip. I've been gone too long... I didn't even know they served a plant based breakfast sandwich now!! They even had new staff that I didn't recognize. But, they were friendly. And they worked quickly with the amount of orders coming in. I ordered the cold brew oat milk latte, horchata flavor. It contains oat milk. My goodness, it reminded me what I love about Peet's Coffee. Quality tasting brew, without all the extra. It was a beautiful blend of their cold brew and oat milk. I wished I bought a larger size. Or ordered it with light ice. That plant based breakfast sandwich was pure goodness! Vegan Cheddar, plant based patty, just egg, all on a sesame bun. It was hot and delicious. I finished that sandwich right before getting on the freeway right by Sears (that tells you how fast that baby was gone!) ...it was that good!! Plant based sandwiches always run the risk of falling flat and being bland, this sandwich was the opposite. Whatever Peet's Coffee is doing, they better keep doing it!! I can't rave about it enough!! And, it was very fulling!! Bonus! Covid19 precautions: employees wearing masks, no indoor seating, outdoor seating only, floor markers to encourage social distancing, customers must wear asks prior to entering. Tried to get someone's attention but no one was in the front of the store, was then ignored a few minutes later when staff walked out after 5. Was here for a toogoodtogo pickup 4-5pm. This Peets continues to be my favorite location in Sac and I'm so thankful for that. There's a lot to be said about consistency regarding product and customer service. Every person behind the counter has been helpful, friendly (without being overly so), and always gets my order right. You'd be surprised at how often that doesn't happen! I usually get chai (pumpkin chai during the holidays is the absolute best) or an oatmilk latte (I get both hot or iced). I have tried a few coffee shops nearby for studying and seem to have the best luck here. The benefit is that there are outlets located in several places, which is what other coffee shops lack. The staff here are friendly and constantly cleaning the tables. And don't let me forget, the coffee is ALWAYS worth your buck here. The only "bad" thing I would say is their oven and restroom. I'm not sure why their little oven brings off a smell when in use. I'm sure no one likes bathroom duties but their restroom is often times dirty, they only have one restroom for customers and the other one for staff. I've walked in with poop stains on the outside of the toilet. Other than that, this location has been more convenient for me. read more

I came in . There are only three workers holding it down from the holiday shopping rush. The cashier greeted us and let us know he would be right with us. Acknowledgment is key! He took our orders in no time. There are two people on bar they are moving a tad bit slower than Im used to . But I think they are a little more concerned with talking . Friendly staff and yummy drinks! Sometimes they can get busy / overwhelmed with customers but they handle it well and are efficient. I am a big fan of Peet's. The staff is really friendly! Brewed coffee at this place doesn't taste burnt or as if it was the cup in the pot. Coffee always tastes as if it was just made no matter what time of day I visit. I just wish that they have some kind of frequent buyer reward program, this would give them a 5 star! My favorite espresso drink would be the Havana cappuccino, which I order wet/latte style, I love this because it has condensed milk which sorta reminds me of Vietnamese coffee. This morning I purchased a large Earl Grey tea and gave the employee at the cash register my name. As a Black customer I noticed the employees at this location will take the name of White and Asian and Latino customers, but when I make my purchase they intentionally refuse to ask my name and leave my drink for me to get without having to call me. They do this to me all of the time, and I am a bit of a regular. Today I gave my first name to the employee at the cash register. The Barista left my tea without calling me, I was setting up my lap top and thought the tea was probably ready so I went to the counter. The tea was there without a cupholder and my name was not called. I asked the Barista whose if the tea was for "Annie" she said "yeah, it's a tea, take it!" I asked her if it was Earl Gray, so that I am certain I am not taking someone else's drink. She squinted at the monitor and said "yeah, we don't have your name, so I yeah it's your tea" she then said the next customers name in a sarcastically friendly manner, and the customer came to the counter and collected her drink. There were only 2 other customers waiting for their beverages. I began to put sugar in my tea. I thought about it, and I felt the Baristas behavior was so racist and prejudiced and hateful, that I ought to address her. I asked her name which was Tiffany and I told her I would be calling Peets Customer Service immediately. She looked ashamed of herself, I then told the manager that I would be calling customer service and reporting the issue. I was mortified to be treated this way, I come to this Peets about twice a week with my computer. I noticed the employees are often resentful towards me because I am not particularly social, but I am always polite. I am treated differently here because I am Black. The tea is great, the atmosphere is great, the patio is pleasant on warm days and I really like it, but the employees think that I am different from other customers, they want to interact with me, and become resentful when they realize I am just like the other customers drinking my beverage and minding my business. This method of customer service is prejudiced, inappropriate, and makes me fearful for the treatment of other Black customers who just want to enjoy Peets beverages and atmosphere like everyone else. There is a new type of racism, where employees think the Black customer should be punished for being non entertaining, the Black customer should be treated poorly for not being Black enough while we are ordering our beverages and treats. We just don't understand. I hope that Tiffany is reprimanded immediately, and I hope Peets management can explain why names go on beverages for White, Latino, and Asian customers but not for Black customers. I hope you can explain this and fix it. I wish you could explain this to me. The manager was cocky with me and aggressive. She should be reprimanded as well. Tiffany's behavior was like being the victim of isolated bullying, no one else present could hear what she was saying, or detect how she was treating me. She was abusive with me. I am hoping she is spoken with immediately. I have included my photo so you know what type of customer I am. They know me here, I am polite and I tip, and I am consistently treated this way.
