Tupelo Coffee House is one of my favorite coffee shops in Sacramento! The staff are friendly and greet you upon entering the cafe. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which is a plus! I used to love this neighborhood spot have been coming here to study since 2015 but lately the experience has not been matching the premium price tag of the coffees and service. The food and drinks are mediocre at best. For what they charge, the quality simply needs to be much higher or lower prices back to normal. The Vietnamese coffee tastes nothing like a Vietnamese coffee should and the cold brew used to be a safe bet but I think I will just order from a different place. The decor and ambiance in the building are great. Lots of natural light and seating. It definitely gives the vibe that you could sit and do a lot of work here. They have limited sugar free offerings for coffee syrups with only vanilla. Something to mindful if you're wanting more options for sugar free. The employee was nice and answered all my questions. They took a little longer than expected to get the drinks prepared. For food, they serve Ettore's pastries offering some savory and some sweet options. I got an iced latte and an iced Vietnamese coffee. Both were delicious! They offer a water through a drink dispenser (love when coffee shops do that). There is a shared parking lot available plus street parking so finding parking wasn't bad. read more

I was checking out cafes in the Sacramento area and stumbled across Tupelo through Yelp. I stopped by this cafe with a few of my cousins and just from walking in we loved the dim lighting, the natural wooden tables, and the calm vibe. Service was decent, but to be fair it was later in the night so it's understandable for staff to be a little low energy. We ordered a various drinks. The hot chocolate, iced mocha Thai, chai, and a hot custom coffee with cherry syrup. Drinks were good! Overall I would come by again & look forward to trying a hot tea next time. read more

Love the new vibe and drinks at Tupelo. I had written this place off and recently rediscovered it since they changed ownership and management. Others seem to have noticed as well as this place is now constantly hopping. Love all the drinks but hot or cold americanos and infused ice teas are my go-tos. The service is fantastic. Shoutout to Sophia, the regular girl at the counter when I go in the afternoons. They recently extended their evening hours to 10 pm daily, much appreciated! I also attended their first open mic and fired pizza night last week and it was amazing. They had a big crowd and the performances were all great, not a single cringy karaoke moment. Sofia was so kind and welcoming, and it was really nice that she spoke to us in Russian--it made the experience feel even more personal and comfortable. She gave us several great coffee recommendations, and everything we tried was delicious. Tupelo coffee is a very cute coffee shop that is honestly perfect for studying or hanging out with a larger group of friends. I've been here several times now to study and it's a great environment for that since they don't play super loud music, there's always seating (inside and outside), they have WiFi you can use, and they are open super late! I really like the drinks here, my go-to is the Aztec Mocha. I love the kick from the cayenne. I also like their Mexican hot chocolate and vanilla iced latte. It's clean, bright, spacious, the staff are friendly, and decently priced! I'd recommend checking them out especially if you are a student needing a third space to spend time at. read more

I went to pick up coffee beans. The only one I saw was the holiday blend. I asked the barista if that's the only one available. She said whatever is on the shelf. Helpful. I decided to get it since I was already there. Then she said she didn't know the price. She said she'll just charge me $19.95. I later looked online and it's actually $17.5 a bag. Now I feel ripped off. It's not about a couple of dollars though. It's about the principle of it. Sofiia had amazing service the spinach and feta pastry was delicious and the coffee was made to perfection. This is my new go to spot!

They're open even later now which makes this spot a great hangout spot all day long. Parking is street parking, but I'm typically able to find a spot pretty easily. Tupelo offers indoor and outdoor seating and is dog friendly. Cha Cha's doggy daycare is down the street, so I'll sometimes stop by here before or after pickup/drop off for a little caffeine boost. Now that they're open late night I've taken advantage of their decaf options a couple times. Typically I'm buying the full caffeine options though. I love that they have some unique offerings on the menu, though more than once I've had to ask the baristas what the items are. I also like to take advantage of the seasonal specials. read more

From what used to a bare, uninspiring establishment, little if any in the way of edible options, unavailability of essentials for coffee making, unhappy staff, and hardly any customers, Tupelo east sac has transformed into a welcoming space with improved decor and ambience, pastries daily from Ettore's, cheerful staff, signature concoctions (the Tupelo iced latte comes to mind- props to the enterprising Sofiia), and most importantly - the constant availability of treats for my pup! I do think that they may be a tad overpriced compared to the competition though. That said, a proper neighborhood coffee shop! read more

I use to come to Tupelo coffee frequently nearly a decade ago and remember it's comfortable vibe and delicious coffee. My friends and I decided to come here as it was one of the only coffee places open late. The workers there were amazing and that's where I rate them higher than I would have on drinks alone. They provided recommendations of their favorite drinks and the barista even offered to make us vanilla lattes (our normal go tos) if we did not like their recommendations. I appreciated that offer but the drinks were not as great as I remembered. A couple of my friends ended up getting the vanilla latte but the vanilla syrup barely had any taste to it and the caffeine in the drink was also very weak. My other friend got the tres leche latte which was the only drink that I would say was good. I got the grapefruit espresso tonic which was interesting and if you are down to experiment I would recommend. However I feel like Tupelo has changed from its more old school vibe to now just being a basic coffee shop. I hope they improve on the quality of their espresso as there is much more competition now compared to years ago. read more

I walked in the vibes are immaculate, amazing vibes, dim lighting, Slavic vibes with the red carpets, and the shades of green are a chefs kiss. We had Sofia/Sophia help us out explaining the all the new drinks and she was the sweetest with great customer service. I got an earl grey latte and I loved it, I'm hopping to come back to add more early grey to it, and their strawberry matcha is freaking it's more on the bitter side which I took a surprise in liking.
