Large iced caramel macchiatto ($6.30): in a class by itself. Balanced flavors from the espresso shots, caramel & creamy milk foam, 10/10!

Peet's coffee is truly underrated, and more locations are needed. Their iced caramel macchiatto (large = $6.30) is in a class by itself. Unique but balanced flavors from the espresso shots, caramel, and creamy milk foam, 10/10! Service is always efficient and attentive.

When I had an early start to my morning, swung by this Peet's and picked up a Spinach and Feta danish. Warm, flaky and delicious, it was just perfect ... Can't wait to stop by more often to sample their other offerings.

Stopped here for some coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I got the bacon and cheddar brioche sandwich. It was very good! The bun was crunchy, he bacon was flavorful and the egg and cheese were hot and cheese nicely melted. I also ordered a latte but with coconut milk. I let the cashier know when I came up I knew the sandwich I wanted but wasn't sure about my drink. She said, "I'll pop your sandwich in while you decide." WHAT GREAT, FAST service!! My latte looked and tasted amazing. I don't get lattes too much, so I really want it to look nice. And it did! The barista called me by name when I walked over and let me know my drink would be ready shortly. "Hi Audra, it'll be out soon." It's the small details that matter and there small details are actually BIG! Way to go Peet's coffee, I'll be back!!

2 stars for the quality of drinks. Docking the rest for their hygiene and safety when it comes to Covid. I ordered a drink from them through doordash and it was not sealed. This is a first from any order I have made through doordash.

    Havana cappuccino, good stuff!

My journey to San Diego took me through the 56 freeway. I was in need of coffee, and looked up this Peet's location on my GPS. Fortunately, I was less than five minutes away, so I pulled into the large shopping plaza in which this place sits. Parking was easy to find, and the coffee shop was not too busy at the time. I put in my order: Havana Cappuccino. While I know that iced cappuccinos are a no-no (look up the possible bacteria problem that can make you sick), this is my sole negative vice, so what the heck! They have one restroom here, and I was glad that it was actually not out-of-order at the time. The restroom was clean, as was the rest of the coffee shop. I grabbed my coffee on my way out, and I found it to be well-made. They put the right amount of condensed milk, not too sweet nor too bland. This coffee shop is located in a decent area, and the patrons here are cool locals. The workers here are friendly and efficient. Five stars.

The coffee is great, and you got a lot of options. My fevorite is the vanilla latte with a chocolate muffin

Ive brought friends here in the past and have always gotten positive feedback afterwards. Recently though, it feels like it's lost a little of its charm. The menu needs updating because with all the crossed out items on the board, it looks a little low end and like they're out of things. But they also always seem to be out of multiple items when I come these days. There's no food options any more most of the time, but the display cases remain. And seating... it feels like they got rid of 1-2 tables and the tables that were outside. There never seems to be enough seating so it's both cramped while also empty looking now. They have these side benches to sit on, but no one ever uses them because they're not super comfortable or good to chat with anyone with. Also, the bathroom. It's usually open, but twice now Ive been in there where there's zero toilet paper or the paper towel dispenser is out, but someone has just put a roll on top to tear at your own will. I loved this place so I hate saying more negative than good. The drinks remain amazing, but for a spot that is so popular, it's losing some of its own charm.

My baby girl has visited Compa Coffee Roasters (CCR) one time previously, she enjoyed it, and requested that we stop by. This was my first visit to this coffee spot and after just the very first sip of my iced Salted Maple Latte extra sweet, CCR will be seeing this Filipino giant again. Compa Coffee Roasters is located in Rancho Bernardo specifically off the 15 freeway and the Rancho Bernardo Road exit. If you're driving north, make a right after you exit and head east. If you're driving south, make a left after you exit and head east. The coffee joint can be found in The Mercado outdoor shopping center with its anchor store being Barons Market. Besides Barons, Kangnam KBBQ, Pho Cao Dao, Xuan Tailoring & Alterations, Pizza Hut, Fed Ex, and one of our fave boba drink places, Presotea all reside here. There is plenty of parking, but when we visited, it was busy, so you might have to park far. CCR was jam packed when we entered, so obviously I'm a little late to the party of knowing what an awesome coffee spot this is. It's got a really cool vibe with wooden sun art on their walls, flora throughout the space, and the focal point being the diligent baristas doing their thing. There are wooden tables, bench seating, bar top with no bar seating, and plenty of outdoor seating. From the gentleman at the register and the baristas, the staff were friendly and had a positive disposition. Their merchandise was really cool especially their logo tshirts that looked like an old school San Diego Padres logo. I remember when Compa Coffee Roasters had just opened in Rancho Bernardo and I had been meaning to visit, but never got around to checking it out. Blessed that it was my coffee aficionado baby girl who enticed me to go and she was spot on CCR being a good coffee spot. CCR opens at 7am and closes at 6pm. Besides coffee, the java joint serves sandwiches, afternoon eats, variety of food, bagels, toasts, beer, and wine. When I talked to friendly gentleman behind the register, I asked what he recommended for someone who enjoys sweet coffee. He provided several recommendations including their Salted Maple Latte, which is what my daughter had planned to order. I kindly asked for an iced Salted Maple Latte, requesting it to be sweeter, and looked forward to trying my first CCR coffee drink. It was delicious from the first sip to the last, so much so that I savored that drink for quite awhile, which is abnormal for me. That's how tasty it was. It was the perfect sweetness for me, my taste buds could distinguish the coffee, and it was really flavorful. If you're into sweet coffee drinks, I highly recommend CCR's iced Salted Maple Latte extra sweet. You're welcome!!! I'm thankful to God for being able to spend quality time with my baby girl treating her to some cup of Joes from Compa Coffee Roasters. I'm also blessed that our new go to coffee spot is just around the corner from our home.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Exceptional place for a special occasion high tea…read more I came here with three girlfriends for a birthday celebration around last Christmas and we had a blast! One of my friends who lives in the area had been here before and had suggested it for the outing. Located in an almost hidden little shopping center in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, it had gorgeous decor, especially all decked out for the holidays. We were seated at one of the outdoor patio tables, which was very pleasant on a beautiful warm day. We all had their special Christmas high tea, which came with a generous array of food that went above and beyond a normal tea service. There was a starter soup course (roasted winter vegetable soup, very delicious), then we got a massive tower with 5 different savory items, scones, and 6 different desserts. Needlessly to say, we were beyond stuffed by the end, even after opting to take most of the desserts to go. The tea selection was very nice as well--I just opted for the English Breakfast, in keeping with my preference for picking the most coffee-like tea. Our server did an amazing job, even though it seemed like she was the only one serving the entire packed place! My friends and I had a wonderful time, and I'd love to come back again.

I opted for the agar aka crystal pearls and that was the right choice for the floral tea. I also accidentally drank the 3Q tea after and while not my favorite, I appreciated all the toppings and the tea was still good. The boba is super unique! It's got a nice, chewy kinda texture. I…read moreremember it being a Rita's Italian Ice at one point, then a bubble waffle shop, and now it's BoBaPoP Tea Bar. Honestly, boba fits the area way better now, especially since more tea spots have been popping up around here. I stopped in for a quick drink and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out, which is always a good sign. Inside is clean and modern, very simple but put together. You can order at a kiosk or go up to the cashier, which makes it easy depending on what you prefer. The menu has a solid variety. All your usual milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, and blended drinks, plus a good amount of toppings. They were also advertising a matcha ice spinner which caught my attention, so I'll probably come back to try that and see how their matcha quality is. I went with a mango fruit tea at 75% sweetness and added boba. I sat outside while waiting, they have limited indoor seating but a couple tables outside which is nice. The drink came out in about five minutes, so pretty quick. First thing I noticed was there were actual mango pieces in the drink, not just syrup. That was a nice surprise and added a good texture. They were soft enough to go through the straw too, so it didn't feel annoying to drink. Flavor wise, I do wish I went lower on the sweetness. Even at 75% it was still a bit too sweet for me, but that's more personal preference. The part that didn't really hit was the boba. It was a little mushy and didn't have that chewy texture I usually look for. It also had this slightly artificial honey taste that kind of overpowered the drink a bit. Not terrible, just not my favorite. It's a solid and convenient spot for the area. Good variety, quick service, and a nice setup. I'd come back, but probably switch up the toppings next time.
