The Nespresso boutique is pretty straight forward and offers a great experience. I personally only purchased coffee (espresso only) in stores and usually only go when there is some sort of deal like buy 10 sleeves get 2 free. When you get there you're usually greeted by someone that puts you on a list if you want purchase something. While you wait to be called you can look around and even sample some coffee. I don't drink hot coffee and always say no to samples until the really nice barista guy told me he can make anything iced and add milk if I wanted. I've been drinking Nespresso for about 4 years now and absolutely love it. I know a lot of people say it's expensive but it's way less expensive than purchasing coffee from like Starbucks everyday. My go to's are Ice Leggero, Chiaro and Scuro.

Nice location in the center of UTC. The product speaks for itself as Nespresso Coffee continues to excel! The employees are always polite and welcoming. Their staff assisted digital checkin system when you walk is an upgrade to keep track of where you are in line due to how busy they can get. Makes sense for premium coffee at home. Question: Can Nespresso grandfather me into a low cost membership?

Cutest bakery/brunch spot ever!! We came straight from Pilates craving coffee and a sweet treat,…read moreand this place definitely DELIVERED. Everything in the pastry case looked so good it was genuinely hard to choose. All the pastries were super well balanced flavor-wise, and the pastry itself was buttery, flaky, and perfectly baked. The croissant especially was sooo buttery and crisp on the outside while soft inside with the perfect amount of filling. The coffee was also rich, creamy, and delicious, and everything came out surprisingly fast even though it was pretty busy. Not a ton of seating inside and it definitely gets PACKED on weekends, but we managed to snag a little table on the back patio which made it such a cute spot to sit and catch up. Overall such a perfect weekend brunch/coffee date spot. Will definitely be back to try more pastries because I was eyeing basically everything behind the counter.

I ordered the panino alle verde and vanilla croissant and had to wait 30 minutes for it. I'm fine…read morewith a long wait if the food is actually good. However, the food here was painfully mediocre. The panino alle verde was listed on the menu as a tomato and eggplant sandwich with mozzarella and basil. However, it was actually a tomato paste (no actual pieces of tomato found) with small pieces of eggplant sprinkled on top sandwich with a big, cold clump of mozzarella. It was okay taste-wise but charging $15 for such a simple and lackluster sandwich (that one could easily make at home) is insane to me even for San Diego pricing. The vanilla crossiant was so soggy that even the ends were soggy. There was no crunch, no crumbly flakes, just a sad, dense pastry with custard in the middle. The only saving grace of this croissant was the vanilla custard which was creamy, not too sweet, and had a nice vanilla flavor (you could see the vanilla bean specks). However, the custard did not make this croissant worth eating and the only part of the croissant I ate was the custard filling. While I was eating my food, I was surprised at how crowded this place was considering I found the food to be very mediocre. There was a constant line and everyone seemed to be ordering the croissants. I'm not sure if these people were just tourists or regulars whose only reference for baked goods and sandwiches were subway or 7-eleven, but I know that there are tons of better bakeries in San Diego. Even freaking Costco has way better pastries and sandwiches than this place and will not charge you $25 for one small sandwich and one soggy croissant. Note: I found out about this place because I asked A.I. to find "hidden gems" in San Diego. This is what I get for trusting A.I.

We enjoyed our brunch at Sugar and Scribe in La Jolla, CA…read more This was my second time dining at this restaurant and was as delicious as the first time. Chef Maeve Rochford, the owner of Sugar & Scribe won Season 2 of Food Network's Holiday Baking Championship. She is also known for competing on Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay and Kids Baking Championship. We recommend trying the following: *Butter Poached Lobster Benedict with Poached eggs, Maine Lobster, Arugula, Parsley hollandaise with side of potatoes and bacon. *Blueberry Love Pancakes with blueberry compote, snow sugar and white chocolate mousse. Both orders were excellent 5/5 stars. I tried the Horchata Latte but couldn't really taste the horchata and wasn't sweet enough for me. I wouldn't order this latte again, but maybe y'all would enjoy the flavor better. The restaurant has outdoor seating with heating lamps and welcomes well behaved dogs in their outdoor patio. We had excellent customer service and look forward to coming back! Give this place a try! Happy Yelping :)

We were sat up stairs and very cute inside Very floral with velvet chairs very cute and good service too. We enjoyed the food But this was when it changed As I was waiting in line for the restroom I'm watching 2 girls making drinks One of them dropped a cap on the floor and picked it up and put it back on the bottle without washing it and acted like it was fine I looked at the floor it was dirty!!!!!! I couldn't believe what I saw. I was glad I didn't order a coffee or champagne It was a whip cream metal cap that was on the floor

Exquisite recipes and flavors. Ambience was splendid as I initially felt a nice, European like feel to the architecture of the place. However, the service I found to be a bit.... Grotesque. Particularly the service provided from the women with the orange/reddish hair. Upon my girlfriend and I's arrival, we were immediately met with a condescending, pretentious energy from her that carried on throughout our one hour dine in experience here. It was a let down truly because once again, the food and ambience was great, but the service was very unwelcoming and we will not be back nor recommend because of this. La Jolla is a very beautiful place with people coming from all walks of life, to have a worker immediately place insinuations and project feelings towards people on first glance, can be bad for business.

Food was amazing. Nice robust flavor from the béarnaise…read moresauce on the Salmon Benedict. Waiter was very pleasant. He asked what kind of side of toast did I want with my Benedict, I responded with "oh? There's toast included? Maybe Rye?" And he said "oh no, my apologies, it doesn't come with toast". I must have had a really sad look on my face when I said "oh ok". because he said "you know what, I'll throw in a side of complimentary toast". Anyways, great little niche close to the ocean. They have patio seating outside so you can soak in the sun, people watch, and enjoy a nice meal. I lovedddd the caramelized Tahitian vanilla French toast! It had a little crunch from the caramelization of the vanilla on the French toast. We added the strawberry, blueberry, and chantilly cream to it. Perfect blend of sweet, tangy, fluffy, with a little crunch. Definitely a good sweet treat to start the day. I got a spinach, Swiss cheese, bacon omelet. The hash browns were pretty good! Crunchy, salty, and went well with the eggs. I was hoping for more of a coffee flavor in the white mocha. They make the whipped cream from scratch. The mocha was mid. I would say this place is a lil over a 4 star place. The beach bowl is an açaí bowl on top of Greek yogurt. I thought it was a little too tangy for my taste. I think having either the yogurt or açaí bowl works better than mixing the two.
